We travel to Chatham a few times a week and pretty much eat lunch here once a week. The food is good. Its not up to the variety of 168sushi places but there is alot to choose from in each category. After a year we are still experimenting with new dishes. Food if cooked is always hot and with ipad style ordering you can see what you are orfering if not familiar with things. The washrooms are clean on the main floor. Which is important to us older folks with bad knees. The staff are always curtious and we recommend trying this restaurant out.

I can't comment much on the food since over half of what I ordered never showed up to the table. The waitstaff is terrible. You're required to write down your own order on a piece of paper and it was not busy by any standards and they still had trouble doing their job. I wasn't the only one at the table who didn't get their food either. 3 wonton soups were missing. And instead of just apologizing and grabbig the soup they tried telling us we didn't order it. It's all you can eat... Why argue with the customers about soups? I ordered a dish without sauce but it arrived with sauce on it and when I said something about it, they took it and brought it back drenched still with sauce. So they attempted to wash it off and give it back... And weren't even capable of washing it off properly. I was polite the whole time but it got me no where. This is the 2nd worst sushi place I have ever eaten at. Only beating a sad All you can eat joint in Saskatoon which used canned tuna in their rolls. I enjoy going to sushi places where you order off the menu more than the all. You can eat varieties for obvious reasons.

Honestly, this place has gone downhill. The people are great. It is a bit pricey but it would be worth it if the sushi was good. The last few times I have gone the sushi was so not fresh and very bland. Also, kids are now adult price at dinner. It's too bad because the menu is diverse and offers a lot of options but the quality is gone.

One of my favorite place to eat and just seat and watch passerby ???? The food is Japanese style food menu but own and run by Chinese ???? aren’t you love asian people we are united ???????? The have overprice bubble milk i prefer the coconut milk is rare to have fresh coconut here so to actually have it in bubble milk tea it’s good and yes they serve in large portion The owners is friendly and accommodating easily notice whose regular and aren’t.the server is young lady from Philippino who are beautiful and friendly so nice to have all the mix culture and good ambiance in one place

It's good if you go in and dine but if you order for pick up or delveiery if you want it deliveried they will ask for your credit info which is bad or you pay in cash, now you can get sauced with your meals in the resteraunt no problem but for carry out they say it's not possible? Why. And on the phone it's very hard to understand the person on the other phone and usually I don't mind it but this was very problematic when I tried to order. From now on I'll only dine in. Not worth the effort to deal with calling especially when the service is so bad on the phone. It's better in store. Food is good non-the less.

Amazing food. Only one issue i had was that we were seated and handed an ipad but nothing was explained. It was a birthday treat for my husband who loves sushi. I dont like sushi so I didnt want all you can eat sushi, I only wanted to order a beef udon dish but it took a long time for staff to understand what we asked for and also to explain to us newbies how the ipad ordering worked.. other than that it was great. Will be back.

Communicating with staff has proven to be somewhat difficult at times, and they can seem very disorganized. Perhaps they should look into order sheets like some other sushi places have. Would recommend eating here though!

Great sushi, if not the best on the city. However the service speed is horrendous and worst I had in any sushi restaurant. How slow? we had 3 deliveries to the table with 10-15 minute gaps each. Overall the whole thing was nearly 2 hours which meant having to go a feed the meter. This is unacceptable. Two people sharing a meal might be forced to wait or share, or not know what's going on. The price matches the quality, which is fine if you want a quality meal.Also in the small side so order a bit more you would think you need. However the rest of the experience might be a turnoff for someone wanting a whole package. This includes the menus which seem to be rather old and can make you question the back of the house. The washrooms need to be renewed urgently, a sign saying the urinal is out of service and that they have gone over x many signs is not a re-assuring indication of the rest of the restaurant. This was great sushi but an underwhelming experience which put me off from dining in or telling someone in good faith to check it out long term. Maybe delivery is the better choice for you if you want to try it out since honestly this is slower than what would be expected. I would not be surprised if people walked out since the whole thing can be extremely off-putting. If I was to return I would actually ask for all of the dishes to be served at once rather than wait for them. Likewise, I would be proactive in asking for help. The reason this is not a 5 star is the experience and the reason it's not 1 star is because the food. Definitely I would say order and save yourselves time and the headache.

I was very disappointed with the "Winter" platter. Great variety of sushis and a roll but it was obviously pre-prepared and sitting in a fridge waiting for someone to order it. I ate at 3:33 and it likely sat since lunch time. Too bad because the orders at other tables looked far fresher. My rice was so firm it felt like it was setting into one glob. Sorry but I will give it another chance and if repeated I will avoid for one of the other places in Chatham. The place was clean and the staff were friendly.

Firstly I will say that the wait staff was polite and the restaurant seemed organized and orderly. Service was quick and efficient and food came quickly.... Unfortunately this is where my good experience ended. The food left a lot to be desired. The food was very mediocre, and did not taste as fresh as it should have, and something about the seasoning in the rice was just off. Poor execution in the food preparation all around. Unfortunately I will not be returning, quite a shame, I really wanted to like the place because I had a real hankering for sushi.

I come here all tbe time and I do love the food. However, when I ordered a couple hand rolls, the plate that was offered with it had tape on it because was broke and had leftover food/crumbs all around the plate. It was disgusting. To top it off, when I ordered the hand rolls again later on, it came back on the same plate!! With the same food that was on it before!! It would be great if they washed the plates since we are eating off them. This is how people get sick.

This is definatly the worst sushi I have ever eaten, and I have had a lot of questionable sushi! I got box 7 and was startled by the lack of quality, and the amount of food (not acceptable for what you pay) my box came with 4 tiny sushi rolls, three pieces of the thinnest sliced veggie tempura I have ever seen (so thin you could barely taste the veggie just a lot of tempura batter), a small salad with browning lettuce, and perhaps worst of all the veggie teriyaki was about a cup of packed rice with about 2 tablespoons of of 9overcooked under sauced thin sliced cabbage. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Also the edamame I ordered as an appetizer was completely mush and disgusting. My suggestion for tourists is to go to literally any other restaurant in whitehorse, they will all be better then this.

Parking here is plentiful with a full parking lot so there is no worries on that front. They are an all you can eat for lunch and dinner so plan accordingly. The lunch menu was very generous and filling and they offer more items than most all you can eat sushi places I have been to. Managed to get plenty full off of good quality food. The lunch menu was $15.95 per person for all you can eat and I found that to be more than fair for what they offer. Plenty of seating and the tables were all clean. The service was fast amd reliable and once we places our first order it was a matter of minutes before we started seeing our food. Bonus you will get a 5% discount if you pay with cash so if you can plan ahead you'll save some money!!!

My "Sexy Salmon Roll" resembelmed the taste of what my forehead would smell like during 5 days of 25km hikes in snowshoes. Ending each day getting smoked out by the fire to stay warm, with no shower in sight. Do not reccomend any rolls that are *Crisped on the outside. Spicy Salmon Roll however was A+

They serve good, reasonably priced food, but keep your eyes on how they prepare the food. There was a situation that happened to me where, one time I requested for my leftover to be prepared for take out, and as I was looking at it being packed in a styro container, the staff preparing it did not even wear gloves. A huge turn off for me. And take a close look at your glasses, folks! Just by the way they were washed tells me that they have no good regard in keeping a meticulous standard in cleanliness and food safety. I'm voicing this out in my review to give a heads up to tourists visiting this place. Keep your guard up to ensure you're putting yourself in harm's way.

Just ordered over $40 worth of dinner which was fast delivered to our hotel , the food portions were so small it wouldn’t fill up a chinchilla. I called the restaurant for a solution but all I got was phone silence “I don’t know” , “I don’t know about the portions”“my manger doesn’t work here???” The only positive was that the delivery was fast.

Horrible. Makes me question about going there. One of the staff lacked a LOT of manners, we waited around 15 mins for a teriyaki then asked a staff about it and waited ten more minutes, but it came out so terrible and looked so rushed. Bad service but good sushi. Summing up everything, I'll never ever go there for sure.

If you are hungry, don't come to this place, serving are small. I am visiting from Vancouver, I went to this place for dinner as it was 4min walk from my hotel, I was so disappointed, after spending $35, i was still hungry and ended up going to McDonalds.

Very slow to serve and take order, many things on menu were not available (with no indication that it wasn’t available on menu). Sashimi was ok, avocado, California and chicken rolls were just average. Pre filled small bowl of soy sauce was given that wasn’t enough, server didn’t come around to ask if anything more was needed.

I love sushi, a lot, so much so that I get it sometimes from grocery stores to fix a craving. I am in Chatham for work and decided some sushi would be best for the night. I came in on a super slow Monday night, the food came fast, everyone was nice, but the salmon and snapper were both frozen on the inside, with hard pieces on the outside from a fast thaw no doubt. The roll had hard pieces inside which hurt my teeth so I had to spit it out, and the soy sauce wasn't salty at all. It tasted watered down! I don't often post a negative review but id like to warn others. I didn't order anything else I paid and left.

I have been ordering from this place for years, have always loved it until about a year ago when I started noticing the quality and the freshness of the food getting worse. Yesterday I decided to give them another go and got takeout which mainly included vegetable rolls and one philedalphia roll which contains salmon. When I got it the salmon was rubbery and warm, like it had been sitting out for days, and all of the vegetables the same. Warm, droopy and just not fresh. I had spent about 30 dollars on this meal for me and my boyfriend and when I called to ask them what they could do, the lady did not apologize once but instead offered me a 4.50 coffee of my next order. I said I wanted my money back, or at least something because the food was gross. But 4.50 off of my next order.. that I will never be using. Would not reccomend, very disappointed in this place, sad to see it go downhill from where it once was Often at times if you are dining in they just dont bring you half of your order as well. That happens every single time .. sakura is much better.

What better antidote for the traveller's diet than a meal of sushi? Food is good, fresh, and reasonably priced (for the north). Service is prompt and friendly. Right on Main St. this place is convenient to whatever business you have in town, and seems to attract an interesting mix of tourists and locals, so even if you are eating alone it's an interesting scene.

I took a date here and we enjoyed ourselves, the waitress was pleasant, professional and friendly. The restaurant (including the bathrooms ) were clean. The sushi was fresh and I found it reasonably priced. I would go again if I still lived in the area and recommend it to others who are in the area.

wouldnt waste your time pretty sure they dont start making your take out order until you show up and pay for it. last three times ordered take out was told 15 minutes showed up after 30 minutes to give them some time and still waited an additional 15 minutes for sushi that is so mushy I ended up throwing most of it out. usually wouldnt voice my opinion publicly but this has happened on several occasions and frankly sick of it and will no longer use this business if you care about product quality I'd advise you do the same. (if you're ordering raw fish you should care about quality, these guys sure dont

Be very careful when you pay for the meal. They will charge you double for what you order. We ordered $15 assorted sashimi but they charged us for $35 the reason was the chef just put couple pieces more. Because the restaurant does not have the menu showing to the public so the manager denied the restaurant has $15 assorted sashimi on menu. I ave one star bacause one of the waitress told the truth.
