I stumbled upon Taylor’s while out exploring from Wheatley Provincial Park. I had kayaked all day and was starving and so excited to try their food for lunch. 1 - it’s cash only (not convenient) 2 - I was able to scrounged up $9.85 in change from my car (excellent) (originally I thought I found $9.95) 3 - I was hoping to try the walleye burger and fries for $10 (excited) 4 - when I told then I was $0.05 short I was looked at like I had 3 heads (embarrassed) 5 - the cashier was advised to count the money and I was actually $0.15 short so the other employee said no sorry (humiliated) I had the walleye burger only and sat in my car to eat it out of embarrassment for having being turned down for a measly $0.15 The walleye burger was amazing!!! The experience.....not so much.

Some of the BEST fresh fish and chips I've ever had. The light breading is so subtle and delicious. The crinkle fries are great and the shrimp are awesome. Simple but exactly what you'd want.

Excellent fish. I had the pickeral, and my wife had the perch, both with crinkle fries and coleslaw. Pickeral was so tender and sweet. Very fresh. No debit/cash only policy is kind of a pain.

Fish was great. Nicely battered and deep fried perfectly. Not too oily at all. Fries were good too. Wasn't too busy either. On top of all that, you are helping the people of Wheatley affected by the gas explosion. Too bad they are closing for the winter. I'd go again even in a blizzard.

The fish is really good. Not too much breading so you actually get fish in bread and not bread stuffed with fish. It is a bit on the expensive side though...

I had the 2 piece pickerel and chips and they were really good. They catch their own fish. You can tell because the fillets are a different shape than most fish and chip stands. I would have liked a lemon wedge and fresh cut fries, but still, everything was good. BTW they only take cash.

We arrived at Taylor's Fish & Chips at Friday at 5:20pm suppertime. We placed our order and with in 5 minutes they called our name to say that our order was ready. We ordered chicken fingers (4 ) & fries (30 crinkle cut) which came with a dinner roll, coleslaw (2 oz), and lightly spicy mayo for dipping your fries or chicken fingers into and a sm. pkg of ketchup. $12.00 @ Tax included. But drinks ( pop, water) are extra for $1.00. Our meal was steaming hot and they were generous with the meal. The location is perfect. They have 2 lg tents with (sides) depending on the day on new cement pad. There are approximately 16 new plastic picnic tables under the tents. Another 3 or 4 picnc tables out on the lawn . Some with umbrellas. When we were there a staff member was cleaning the tables and seats on the picnic tables. Face masks to be worn to order and walk around. The chip wagon hours-- open Thursday- Sunday 11:30am - 7:30pm Great place to eat!

Worth the drive to Wheatley, huge white pitched tent accommodates cover for many customers. Had the walleye, fresh, delicious and great size portions with of course chips!! Try it!
