There was a lineup and that was around 7 customers long, even before the soccer kids showed up. They have flavours that nobody else carries that makes the wait worth it. My pralines and cream was on the melty side so the girl gave me my cone upsidedown in a bowl. There are lots of places to sit inside or out.

Great experience, I went while visiting Chatham! The drive through experience was great and they have a separate gluten free menu that had a ton of options, unlike some places that only offer 1 or two GF flavours. Unfortunately I forgot to snap a pic but ask them and they’ll give it to you at the ordering counter! French vanilla and caramel caramel cup were delicious!

Great ice cream, they use Shaw's, which is local and delicious! In the evenings they can get busy, but they keep the line moving well. I only wish they were open a little earlier so I could get a cone at lunch time, but it's probably best for my waistline that they aren't! Pretty comfortably the best ice cream I've found in Chatham so far!

Oh my goodness! Shaw's ice cream is the label of ice cream sold here. Over 60 ice cream flavours. You can sit inside or outside. There's a wheelchair restroom and the parlour entrance also. I love it here in the summer. I love the mint chocolate ice cream. The best. I come with my son, my husband and sometime my girlfriend and I come sit around and munch on different ice cream delights like sundaes and milkshakes. People come from all over the city to spend some time sitting and enjoying the best ice cream around!

What can I say? Drive through ice-cream....... Wow! Just WOW! Walk up counter too. Staff extremely friendly, fast service, and reasonable prices. Incredible selection of flavours. Shaw is not always the best ice cream around though. It would be nice if they stocked the higher quality Kawartha Ice cream too.

We used to love going to this place for their great selection if icecream. Tonight we decided to have chocolate milkshakes instead. We were so very disappointed. The milkshakes were watery . It was more like drinking chocolate milk. But for$ 16.00 I expect better. Sorry Riverside, but we won't be back.

Really had a craving for a banana split; unfortunately my go to; the best ice cream shop in town; (Cone & Shake shop) was already closed.???? Thought I'd try Riverside icecream for one. Bigggg mistake!!! Even with pic's of banana splits in and on the establishment they couldn't make a banana split!!! The ice cream was already melted when I received it, came without a lid; so it spilled everywhere. There was no pineapple, strawberry sauces. The nuts and chocolate sauce was on the bottom, and no whipped cream! Highly disappointed $15 well waisted; just a reminder why I quit going there after the first year they opened.????????

Strawberry milkshake was terrible. I tasted freezer burn and barely any strawberry flavor. Just a weak, and barely sweet plain shake. Weird!! And it was very expensive! I still threw the rest out and I would never throw out ice cream. It was THAT bad. The employees were friendly tho.

Riverside has over 60 flavors of ice cream! It is available in regular cones or waffle cones as well as bowls. Today I had sweet and salty pretzel and banana cream pie. The sweet and salty pretzel was really yummy! Their banana splits are good too!
