Took my girlfriend and her friends out to dinner. Had a reservation at 6, and they just, lost it? Got a table after about ten minutes, 20 minutes later got our drink orders in. Put in our food order. Took about 45 minutes before the food was ready and that entire 45 minutes not a single person asked if we wanted another drink. Mine was done after the first 10 minutes. I would've gladly had another 5 drinks throughout the night. Oh well. I got the fillet mignon and she got a 12 oz new york. Mine was medium well and hers was well done. Barely any juice left. No flavour. And we ordered it to be medium rare! An hour and 45 minutes total to get our food from sitting down to eating. Only reason we didnt send it back is because we didn't want to double our time spent there. If it was actually busy there, I'd bump it up to 2 stars. Worst $250 plus TIP I've ever spent in my life. And I've bought a lot of stupid stuff

Can say enough about the food, atmosphere and service. I had the Seafood Enchilada for the first time. It did not disappoint! Presentation and price was very good. My wife had the stuffed Chicken special with cream cheese and cranberries. She loved it as well. The service was great and timed beautifully. It was a great evening to enjoy the back patio as well. We have never had a bad experience at Casa Bella.

Chef ramsay really needs to pay this place a visit. The atmosphere was not welcoming, no signs directing which door to use, it was a little confusing, the restaurant was dusty, smelly, gum under table, the food was mediocre, our salad was old Limpy and gross, I had chunks of unmelted cream cheese in my white sauce, couldn't eat my meal, We went for our anniversary and I was so upset I was speechless, so, I won't be going back, does Not meet expectation????????

We celebrated my husbands birthday last evening with friends by going to dinner at Casa Bella's and the Capital Theater. We had reservations and arrived on time, seated immediately and placed our drink and dinner order with 5 minutes of arriving (we allowed 1 1/2 hours to dine). Our drinks arrived quickly however we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for dinner. Other guests who arrived after us were served, paid and left before we got our dinner. The waitress was very unresponsive and unfriendly and made no effort to communicate. We had to eat so quickly it was not in any way enjoyed, we arrived when the lights were dimming for the show and generally this took an evening planned as a celebration of life to a stressful event!

Well, its a piece of heaven. Must try is their mussels, chicken sandwich, pasta. Ideal for all kinds of celebrations: formal or informal. They have a sitting arrangement outside by the river in the summers. Good food, amazing service and pocket friendly. I come back again and again.

When I go to Chatham for businesses there are five places I really enjoy taking business colleagues or customers out to. This is one of them. Its scenic patio in the back which is on the Thames is beautiful and quaint. The food is consistently great and coming from someone that lives in Toronto the prices here versus the quality are something I think you can only experience in Chatham. This is a must go!

I am posting this review now, but our actual dining experience was before CoVid. The food was excellent and so was the service. But our location at a table beneath the platform was horrible. I'd recommend a reservation at a table by the windows or don't go. Alternatively, Casa Bella should consider revising their layout to make this an aisle-way with no tables. We have also done take-out post CoVid. We highly recommend bringing a thermal container/bag to keep your food warm - it cools very fast in the provided plastic bag.

We had a lovely dinner at Casa Bella. I had the ravioli, stuffed with cheese in a blush sauce. Delicious! My husband had the strip steak with Neptune sauce. We finished with the Carmel apple cheesecake. Everything was wonderful. Due to the Covid restrictions we were only able to eat on the patio. Unfortunately many weather systems came through with lots of rain. Our poor server continued on quite wet...thanks for taking such good care. We will definitely be back!

We came out for dinner tonight as a table of 10, I ordered the "halibut and jumbo shrimp". First, the shrimp were clearly the very tiny frozen shrimp, nothing jumbo about them, largely flavorless as well. The worst part was the Halibut, which smelled and tasted as if it was spoiled, it was extremely fishy, and I'm a seafood lover.... When I told the waitress she said nothing, no apology and no resolution, and still charged us full price for the horrendous meal. I will not be coming back, mediocre food at a price point that it doesn't deserve. Avoid this place.

Food was good. I was told it was 60$ for the valentines day special, which would include 2 entree's 2 apps. 2 drinks n 2 desserts. Made reservations .... ate...... bill was 153. Called after I left realizing i had over paid. Lady on the phone reasured me it wad 60$ for 2 entrees 2 drinks. 2 apps. N 2 desserts. Then i told her i was just there n was over charged she changed her story and said it was 60$ a person. Lol unreal. Will never go back. Ate at mama marias 2 weeks ago . Prime rib for the wife n lobster tail n scallops n shrimp for me with a boat load of drinks. Bill was 200. False advertising for casa bella. Very dissapointed to say the least.

We decided for dinner here since we havnt been in a few yrs.. steak was as rare as raw ...was to be medium ....wife had a fish plate that was the consistency of rubber .....couple three small potatoes chopped in half.. carrots some beans thats it ..Very disappointed for 100 plus tip..other than patio veiw I would not recommend

My husband had Alfredo linguini and loved it. I had the gluten free farfelle fettuccine. It was good not excellent. It did not have enough flavour for my tastes. My husband and I took my mother to Casa Bella Restaurant on August 6th, 2014 for my mother's 76th birthday. We ordered drinks and appetizers as well as our main course. Bread was served, each a small slice and so we ordered more. Our appetizers were very good however when our main course came, my mother and I had ordered the same, the veal had the exact seafood sauce as did our appetizers. We had had enough of the appetizer and we could not enjoy our main course as it was the same. We feel that the waitress should have made us aware that we were ordering the same seafood medley. It was such a disappointment

The atmosphere is intimate with beautiful views of the Thames River. And the food - INCREDIBLE! The wait staff is friendly. We have dined inside and out and we have never been disappointed. Casa Bella also carries a selection of local beers (and CK has some of the best beers around). This place is a gem! For anyone who hasn't been, you really should go!

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary but Windsor was still in phase 2 of the COVID issues so we had to think out of the box. We decided to find a romantic restaurant in Chatham since they were in phase 3. What a GREAT find!!!! This CasaBella Restaurant is a charming home transformed into a beautiful location on the Thames River. The view was gorgeous and the food was Remarkable. From the appetizers right down to the last drop of coffee; we were in food heaven with each bite. The Veal Parmesana and the Filet Mignon were tender enough to cut with a fork and the flovours were exquisite. We will definately be returning to the CasaBella for another wonderful experience.

Received a starter salad that was gritty (unwashed). Was told that the salad was put on a plate straight out of a container. Wasn't even fresh. A disappointing way to start out a meal at an 'upscale' venue. The steak was perfect, which was somewhat redeeming, but I couldn't recommend it despite the lovely ambiance.

So many good things about this place. Love the location, historic house and the view of the river. The room is nice (not too sure about black table linens however) and service was good. Some of the food was tasty but every dish needed improvements. Bread was par baked but hand just been warmed not baked so it was insipid white. Lamb ordered medium rare came medium well. It was tender and tasty but the accompanying sauce was like honey, a rather odd thing with lamb. Veal Neptune was tender and absolutely swimming in too much sauce (that was also tasty) and tiny scallops. Both dishes needed salt. We saw the grouper served to a neighboring table and it was one smallish piece of very thin fried fish. So, it was okay but needing refinement in the kitchen to be called fine dining and meet the $30+ a plate price point.

Restaurant is right off of Thames River. I sat at a table looking out at the lake. Very picturesque. Service was quick and the waitress was friendly and easy to talk to. I ordered the salmon and it was delicious! I'd love to go back when the pandemic is over or when I'm back in Chatham. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We have always been pleased with the service and the quality of the food at Casa Bella. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about their catering service. I recently contacted them by phone/Messenger to discuss catering a private function. I was asked to call back the following day, prior to opening, and speak to Lydija. When I contacted Lydija she was quite annoyed and rather abrupt. She expressed her frustration that “somebody told you to call now??”. She indicated that she was on her way out the door and was not able to speak to me. She asked for my telephone number and stated that she would call me back. That was 10 days ago. Never heard back from her. Needless to say I have taken my business elsewhere.

My husband and i ordered take out last night. We had the halibut and shrimp dinner. Came with green beans, carrots, mini potatoes, bread, salad and the halibut and shrimp. Every item was PERFECT!!!! So good. We live 20 min. From Casa Bella. Next time (and there definitely will be many next times) we will bring a thermal bag. The food was a little cold but ooooh sooooo yummy anyway!!!

My husband and I went to Cassa Bella for our 18th Anniversary supper, and we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the restaurant, we weren't sure which door to use, no signs, the utensils were dirty, the rugs need shampooing ect... The food was mediocre at best, the salad was wilted, not fresh, the appetizer was poorly presented(messy) and it just was boring(stuffed mushrooms), by the time the main dish made it to the table I was so disappointed and upset I had lost my appetite, and my pasta had chunks of cream cheese, it way too rich and peppery and the chicken wasn't grilled it was fried in a pan and you can taste the difference, better grilled and it was cut lenghtwise? not across so I had 4 big long chunks of chicken best on my pasta :P.. We barely ate at all. I'm sorry to say I've had way better at Crabby Joe's and their chicken is by far tastier, even pizza delight have fresh crunchie lettuce and that's a pizza place. I almost wanted to ask to see the kitchen. I almost cried when the waitress asked me why I didn't enjoy the food, I just was expected better food prepared by a chef. I also over heard other groups of people at their table complaining about some of their food. I will not be going back.

First I had to wipe out the bread crumbs from chair then I had to ask for a clean glass, for bred not being served, the mussels hardly cooked and the veal meal I was not able to eat it was like leather and I had to refuse the plate. Never ever again.

The turkey, stuffing and potatoes were quite salty, and I felt like the potatoes were some sort of 'instant" mash by the chewy, clumpy sections throughout that made it look like it was not stirred thoroughly. It was just okay.
