Beautiful spot to dine outdoors in Charlottetown. Water Street can be a little busy, and the wait can be long during busy hours. But, the food is worth it!

My wife and I stopped in for supper here. I had the bacon wrapped scallops and she had the fish and chips. The prices are much better than you would expect for a downtown location. The scallops were cooked just right and the bacon was perfect (I've eaten at other places where the bacon was almost raw...not this place!) My wife enjoyed her fish and chips as well! Staff was very friendly!

Best fish and chips I’ve had since I’m in Canada. They say it’s the best on the island and they mean it. Full order served with a chowder. Truly a good place to eat. I had the Island Red to accompany. Our server was the greatest.

Small outside patio on the street. Inside is very pleasant. Outstanding service , solicitous and friendly. Cod and chips $13, Halibut and chips $19. Food well-prepared and hot, maybe the batter was a bit thick .

This was my first visit to Prince Edward Island and the first restaurant I visited in Charlottetown, so needless to say expectations were high. I was on a mission and I wanted the classics. The lobster rolls were delicious, not the best I had in PEI but a very satisfying start. The bread was fresh, crusty, soft on the inside and the lobster was nicely sauced and seasoned. Can't fault the rolls. The fries were a great salty kick and complement the sandwich perfectly. We then moved on to the fish tacos. They were...okay? Nothing particularly wrong with them, just a bit underwhelming. In all fairness fish tacos are not my go to but I expected to be surprised in PEI. The fish and chips. Oh yes. They were so damn good on this day that we did not even have time to take pictures. Flaky batter, soft perfectly fried fish, and those crispy fries. Loved it. Killed a little dessert at the end to activate the food coma and I rolled out of that place like stuffed to the gills and ready for a long afternoon nap. Overall, Water St. was fantastic and I will be stopping by again next time I'm on the island. Great food, great location, and an all around great experience. Thanks!

This used to be a great place to eat,sadly it is not anymore. The fish & chips were terrible, heavy batter that was too dark outside and almost raw inside,very doughy. There was a pool of fryer grease under my piece of fish and I used 3 napkins to gently squeeze oil from it before attempting to try it. P.E.I. has too many wonderful places for delicious fish & chips to waste your time and money here.

I have been coming here sporadically throughout the last 2 years. Something has definitely changed and not for the better. 1- The quantity of food has degraded, 2- The taste can be hit or miss, today was a miss. 2 years ago I would have recommend coming here. Now, I would try somewhere else...its too bad, as 2 years ago this WAS the best fish n chips place-it really was, now its mediocre, expensive and you hardly get anything.

Five of us enjoyed ourselves here this afternoon. Plenty of gluten free options. Great fish&chips, all food was excellent. Calamari portion, for the price, you can avoid. Good fries, and nice that you can substitute onion rings for fries at no extra cost. Quality pub fare in a great downtown location.

We ate supper there last night. Food was amazing and we were stuffed when we left. Our waiter was very helpful when he found out we were traveling and suggested places to go that were good. Kind of neat that he was originally from the Annapolis Valley in NS and so are we. Very friendly, nice atmosphere. We had a great time. Highly recommended a stop here to eat or grab a beverage.

We walkes though victoria row and down to the waterfront in charlottetown and stumbled across this place while we were exploring. Decided to stop as my husband was hungry. I was a bit iffy as the place was empty at lunch time. This was my best meal in p.e.i , i had the crispy chicken sandwich it was amazing with ceaser salad. Husband had fish and chips which was also to die for with their home made tartar sauce...

Supposedly the management has changed. The fish and chips were saturated in oil when it finally got to our table. We waited almost half an hour... The $9 Caesar salad came in a small bowl and the dressing definitely wasn't home made. The croutons were rubbery as well. They claim to have the best fish and chips, but this is the worst fish I've ever had.

We ordered takeout. Paid 65.00 for same and got home to realize each takeout dish had approx 5 fries in addition to the fish. We called to advise of issue and were told we’d receive a discount on our next purchase. This weekend we decided to give them another chance but unfortunately they would not honour our discount because of new management changes. Very unfortunate but we did enjoy Brits Fish and Chips and will certainly give them our business going forward.
