This Fish Shop is included in the category of Seafood restaurant.
Service was great! I enjoyed the buffet which included mussels and chowder.
This place is huge with a buffet bar the length of its dinning room. My favorite was the mussels which was always empty when I got up. It's not they don't keep filling it but people take more than their share. Some people even used their waste bucket to hold their mussels. Well done! What a way to teach your kids to think outside the box. Our lobsters took forever to come and by then we were full stuffing our faces from the buffet bar. I think they should get the main course out first to avoid the stampede at the trough.
Good food, nice staff, maybe a bit expensive (40 CAD for 1 pounf lobster).
Need more for non seafood eaters.
Affordable. Friendly staff. Maritime dining at a Maritime price. The food was fine and the lobster was...well lobster...always good!
Was OK, lot of waiting if your a walk in.Desert was really disappointing.
Lots of parking, very friendly server and our waitress (in her 40th season there!!) was very funny and attentive. Fish and chips were delicious and super fresh! I wish I'd had room for their incredible special this evening! A very good experience!!!
My wife said it was the best dinner she ever ate. She had the PEI snow grab. When you first walk in and see the prices on the menu you think it's a little pricey but then you realize it includes a huge, and I mean huge salad bar, soft drink, your main course and deserts. Service was excellent as well. Can't say enough about the place. Can't wait to get back next year.
The staff was friendly. For the price of it, the food was bad. I was expecting better quality and freshness. My fish was dry. Wouldn’t come again.
Went there with 15 people from work. The waiter and waitress were fantastic. The food was excellent. Been there always on opening day every year when training new staff but this was the first time mid season and it was wow!!!
The lobster dinner was great and you can't beat the price.
It’s a good buffet with various options, if you are therein the summer make sure you try the fresh lobster.
(Translated) Believe, believe super-super, fresh lobsters + buffet, you will not regret six stars (Original) Вери, вери супер-супер, свежие лобстеры + буфет, не пожалеете шесть звёзд
This restaurant is a typical tourist trap. I will speak to the lobster dinner. PROS: delicious rolls, lobster is cooked well, endless mussels (buffet), decent selection of sides/salads, endless pop/soda/coffee/tea, endless desserts, fast service (good for people with kids), kids under 2 eat free. CONS: expensive for someone who can't sit and eat their weight in food, desserts aren't great (fake whipped cream), the starter seafood chowder was disappointing, usually very crowded (common place for tour busses). Overall, I we prefer New Glasgow Lobster Suppers because of their homemade desserts and kids 3 and under eat free. Prices are about the same.
I loved it. The food is good enough, some things i even really liked from the trough ... but it had such a great atmosphere and character. You couldn't go wrong for the price!!! Its kitschy...but that's a good thing. The wait staff have great uniforms and are charming young people from town. If you don't like this place you're a snob.
Just dont go there! Overpriced considering the poor quality of our meal. Mussels were tasteless served with an oily butter substitute, 60 feet salad bar is a scam you have approximatively 10 possible choices of not so fresh veggies and the chowder was from a can not homemade...
Delicious
Amazing food, amazing service, can’t wait to go back,
Food is so good and the salad bar is amazing!
(Translated) A red-haired entour stop when traveling to Prince Edward Island. It depends on lunch. It was a cute restaurant where you can feel the history of Prince Edward Island. Prince Edward Island is reputed to be delicious no matter what you eat The rumors were true. First, bread. Bread is also delicious. Wheat is also made on Prince Edward Island You can make delicious bread. And butter If you think it ’s ordinary butter That is a big mistake! It was delicious and the bread was going on. Main Lobster If you think it ’s delicious There was no such thing and I was really good. Did lobster taste so good? I just think about it. The whole animal was big. This was very satisfying! There was also a souvenir shop.
The food was awful, as was the service. Waited 45 mins food which came out at random intervals. Lobster was good. Everything else was just terrible.
It can sometimes be great and sometimes not. The lobster is always amazing!
Very good
STILL THE BEST LOBSTER SUPPER VENUE ON PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Fisherman’s Wharf was the BEST Lobster Supper venue on PEI. Now during the pandemic, it still is the BEST Lobster Supper venue on PEI. Prior to the pandemic, the all-you-can-eat “Super-Duper” buffet-style salad bar and mussels and chowder were excellent and now, because of health protocols, the buffet-style is not available but you can order what salads, mussels, and chowder you wish from the server still in the all-you-can-eat format. This still makes Fisherman’s Wharf the BEST. The service and food is still EXCELLENT and the servers are GREAT. They are super-excellent when it comes to the menu and their personality is fantastic. It is definitely worth the trip from anywhere to visit and eat wonderful food and shop in the gift shop at Fisherman’s Wharf, North Rustico, Prince Edward Island.
Super good sea food place. A bit expensive but u get lots of food . Make sure u try it if u r in pei, so worth it
Almost all you can eat; good scallops; lobster ok.
We usually visit here on our vacation. Buffet is always well stocked. Neither of my kids like seafood so the buffet and desserts keep them happy
U can't beat the food or view
What a spread! Worth the price!
Very bad experience. At the cashier the person is really disrepctfull. Was really the worst experience ever. Simply go to any other place if you can.
The Captain Rusty Burger is with fighting over. I would. I brought 11 passengers celebrating a 70th birthday party there that were unable to find a restaurant in the area with less than a two hours wait. They were able to seat them instantly AND in the smaller but more personal dining room. They were ALL happy.
A family tradition for years, the all-you-can-eat salad bar includes desserts, ice-cream, but more importantly as many muscles as you like. A great place for groups and celebrations.
This is my second time visiting the restaurant. Love the salad bar, unlimited muscles, Great staff and amazing seafood. It is a little over crowded making it hard to move and wait times longer then they need to be. Removing a table or 2 would make it 5 star place to go. Still when on the island i wouldn't miss it.
A tourist trap! Very expensive and low quality cuisine, appetizers and desserts!
Have been to Fisherman's Wharf a few times, servers are always pleasant, tonight the place was hopping with several busloads of tourists. Super salad bar, also nice to have a choice for entrees. Scallops were very tasty, hubby enjoyed snow crab, brother-in-law gobbled up his lobster. Excellent experience.
(Translated) Very mundane no matter the price ... I expected a lot more despite the dated decor. The waitress gave good service. We will avoid in the future. (Original) Très banal peu importe le prix... Je m'attendais à beaucoup plus malgré le décor vieillot. La serveuse a donné un bon service. On évitera dans le futur.
It was insanely busy and the food wasn't what I expected. I wouldn't go back. The salad bar is impressive but I don't think it's worth the price.
I paid for 1.5 lbs of lobster but did not look it (I know my lobster). It was barely warm when I got it. I complained, but the service said sorry and did nothing. The seafood chowder was terrible! Just starchy and lacking in flavour. The mussels were the only good value to the buffet. Very limited selection of desserts. Ice-cream machine was broken. Strawberry shortcake was offered at end and was very so-so. Clearly they no longer care for quality offerings. The bus tours keep coming and that is all that seems to matter. Very disappointed.. Have gone here many times over the years but I won't come back.
There was a caterpillar in my niece's broccoli salad???? and they never apologized, they just quickly took her plate away...the food isn't too bad except for that...but you sure do pay a hefty price...
Must have experience while in PEI, truly unique.
The waitress never stopped smiling, was personable, while being extremely accommodating and efficient. I had the steak option and was not impressed. It was dry, without much taste, very basic. The salad choices were all inclusive, but I missed being able to attend the salad bar and hand pick whatever you choose. I understand it was a change necessary due to Covid. The meal with a drink each and a generous tip, the cost well exceeded $100, which we feel is too excessive.
Good lobster dinner good value
This is an amazing place. Coming here is a highlight of visiting Canada. Probably one of the best restaurants.
The server we had was awesome
Huge salad bar and includes pop and desserts.
a great fishing experience....great food and atmosphere
Was ok but not great
Depends on which part of the restaurant you enter... the smaller room serves much lower quality food than the main building. Honestly, unless you have one heck of a big diet just order the salad bar. It has more than enough food to make an exceptional meal. This place is very very busy so make sure you can get a seat (especially larger groups). Other than that the food was EXCELLENT.
Was not impressed. This place got high praise from friends. Lobsters were definitely not fresh.
Waitress was terrible, ruined the whole experience for us. Will not be returning.
Nice selection and food
We ordered the 1lb lobster. The price includes their buffet that has several sides, salad, dessert and mussels. The service is excellent. The servers really take care of you. I'm going to rundown the food: The lobster was cooked correctly. It was scored so it was easy remove from the shell. Dipped in butter, it melted in your mouth. The mussels at the buffet were endless. It was really the only thing you went back for seconds and thirds. This place has been the same for years and the buffet could really use an upgrade. It looks it's age - worn down and not appetizing at all. That's really the only negative, but considering the fact that's it's a big part of your dinner, they could do better.
The service is on par and the buffet offers numerous choices, including all you can eat Mussels! The Lobster is perfectly cooked and even cracked when it arrives, which can be helpful.
We are from North Carolina, they staff treated us just like family , the food was amazing, as was the Waitress that we had. A must do if on PEI.
The food was okay.
Quaint little fishing villiage! NS.
Good service, good food!
Just incredible never-ending lobster supper and great service.
Perfect endless Buffett and great service!
Don't expect anything decent from this place. As a stop for tour buses, they clearly don't care about getting return customers. Extremely overpriced for what they serve! Don't attend any tour that stops here, or if you really have to, order something insignificant and then eat elsewhere. Will not recommend! Deeply sorry if I'm out of line here, but can't help but feel they pay off the tour companies, just like the casinos do... it's the only explanation that makes sense given the slew of other poor reviews...
ME and my family go to the island every year and our favourite lobster dinner stopped operating two summers ago. We decided to try this place and it definitely was not worth the money. The lobster itself was good, but my mother ordered the scallops and they were basically like greasey deep fried balls with no flavour. A place that specializes in seafood should be pansearing their scallops. Anyways long story short I feel the type of people who enjoy this place a)don't know any better and b) are older. The buffet was very low end and your very basic iceberg lettuce, chunky red onions, nothing new or original.
Where else can you get the best lobster!
Omg!! The experience here is awesome! I came with 3 vegetarians and they love the salad bar! There are so many options on the bar. Their vegetarian tomato soup is the best! I love the mussels and the ice cream.
Food was great, staff was nice and the dessert was good as well. The addition of the shop adds a bit of congestion to the front of the restaurant, but overall a great experience.
First time going (August 31st 2016), and I have to say, if was pretty decent. Salad bar was okay, have the usual salad, potato salad, macaroni (not good), and muscles (great!) I had the snow crab and it was fantastic! I got a ton and they were big legs! Seafood chowder was good, but nothing to write home about. Strawberry shortcake was awful. Éclairs were good. Pretty expensive for the stuff they have. But would consider going again if ever back in Pei just for the snow crab.
Pros: - The staff is incredibly hospitable and truly cares. - The atmosphere is very homely. - The seafood is very fresh. - The salad/dessert bar is extensive and has a lot of variety. Cons: - The bang for your buck - it does feel a tad touristy and pricey for the meal you're getting. - The wait times - due to the pandemic, you have to wait a bit until the server comes by (not blaming them, they have a lot of tables to wait on).
Good selection on the salad bar, good value. The endless mussels were a great touch.
Staff were instantly amazing and tended to our every need even before we knew it, they came at the right times and waited for us to be done chewing to talk to us!! Food was delicious this was my highlight of PEI!!!!!
Large delicious portions. pricey but you get what you paid for. each table is given a large basket of rolls that they will pack up and let you take home if you like vs. throwing them away like most restaurants.
A worthy tradition of excellence.
First time I visited this place and would return again. Arrived at the same time as a tour bus and seating us took longer than 15 mins. Had the all you can eat salad bar and although enjoyable it was not exceptional. The service was adequate however, as I was being lead to my seat, a waitress scurried past me, she did bump me and excused herself but got no further since the rest of my party was still in front her, her sprint got her no further ahead than if she had been polite and remained behind me. I was even more surprised when she abruptly came to a halt in front me as she delivered the pitcher of WATER she was in such a rush to get to the table she was serving. Now she was in my way as I was trying to keep pace with my group on our way to being seated. Just a small thing but nonetheless merits mentioning. Not enough to prevent me from a return visit.
A disaster, the restaurant is huge. It reminds me of a barracks dining room. Order and pay at the reception. The queue is huge, especially when a coach pulled up and unleashed all the passengers. the lady at the front desk is rude and impatient. the prices are above average. What we noticed, in this village there are only 2 restaurants where lobster is served. we renounced lobster. Nothing for Swiss tourists.!
The meal here was good little on the pricey side as with most things on PEI.
Love the lobster and mussels, and the endless salad bars is also good. Have some chowder and you will be full.
Nice! Will definitely come again.
Absolutely worth the 30min drive from Charlottetown.
Food was great but price were a bit high, even for seafood
Great lobster and huge selection at the salad bar, including all-you-can-eat mussels!
(Translated) We ate there twice during our stay for menu wharf # 2. You have to understand how it works. You choose your menu at the entrance. Each menu has several salads, dessert mussels and coffee / tea which are included in the price. We feasted on lobster. The restaurant is a bit dated and dark, but we can see a research on the decoration. The place is very big and popular. (Original) Nous y sommes allés deux fois pendant notre séjour pour le menu wharf #2. Il faut comprendre le fonctionnement. Tu choisis ton menu a l'entrée.
Great food! Lobster was very very good. A little on the pricey side but you have an all you can eat salad bar including a fantastic chowder... I had 4!
Very nice dinner off the menu. Salad bar over priced
It's a great meal but the website prices are incorrect, they are quite a bit higher. The area is great too, shopping, park, and Wharf all around.
Amazing food. Pleasant staff. Highlight of my PEI trip
Had an amazing time here. The food and service here is excellent!
A bit of a line to get in. But FULL GREAT meal inside
Awesome setting.. Awesome Food .. Awesome Staff! > Thanks Allison <> Great personality .. Great service > and I Forgot your tip!!! Please know we were Extremely Pleased and the next time I'm down that way .. You'll get that tip! > Sorry! Hope you didn't think you didnt deserve a good Tip!!! You sure do! Thanks again <> Linda
60 foot salad bar is not worthwhile, prices are a bit much.
Excellent food and service
Salad bar was pretty big. I ordered the shrimp and there was no flavor to the breading. Quite expensive for what you get.
Great food and fantastic service
We ate in the restaurant, We ordered a draft which was more expensive than a bottle of beer and the glass of draft we got was probably less than a bottle of beer. I'm pretty sure draft comes in a pint. We ordered nachos which were ok. I was craving Seafood so I decided to have the seafood fettuccine alfredo, and my husband had the burger. I was surprised to discover that my fettuccine dish had no fettuccine. I worked in the restaurant business a long time and I was shocked, that any cook could actually make that mistake, sending out a dish of fettuccine with no fettuccine. I was offered that the cook could cook and add fettuccine to it or make a new one for me. I thought I would get a new one, I changed my mind and ask the waitress right away if she could just cancel it, as we were in a bit of a hurry and needed to get home. She went to the kitchen and came back and said that it was ready and did I still want it. I absolutely said no because there was no way they could have cooked me a new order in 2 minutes flat. It was quite apparent that the pasta was added to the dish and reheated. And that would be just fine if it was a marinara sauce but this was a alfredo sauce which definitely wouldn't go over well being reheated. I hate to give bad reports on any restaurant, and I understand that Fisherman's Wharf is a very busy restaurant but that is no excuse for the poor food quality. Our waitress was very nice, I forget her first name she was an older lady and obviously had a lot of experience in the industry. Definitely the best part of this experience.
Amazing food, short wait, amazing salads soup desserts and reasonable prices
Great service, but not a great meal for the price. Definite tourist trap.
Fast food. Over priced
Nice restaurant, staff is lovely, prices are okay and the ambiance is magical with this sea theme!
The salad bar was delicious. The waiter who had served us had a nice conversation with us and he was very friendly. He did, indeed, not ask if we wanted refills which was basically his only error. Also, the lobsters weren’t the best as they could have been; they tasted as if they had only been boiled and nothing else. It would have been nice to have some seasoning or something with the lobsters. It was overall a fair experience.
It was ok nothing spectacular was there many years ago and was definitely better! Did have an amazing strawberry daiquiri!
Nice meal, great lobster, decent buffet. A good way to experience a lobster dinner. I don't eat lobster that often, so can't really compare price or quality.
Fantastic food and service
Loved the food. Miss the ice cream....
Wow. First time I've ever had a 'real' fisherman's platter. Lobster and long seafood salad bar in the same place. Outstanding! Great and friendly service. Outstanding! (before and after pics attached) :-)
Lobster was tough, salad bar selection was good for cold food, mussels were tasty.
Best food. I go everytime. Always busy.
Lots of family fun.
Definitely check this place out! The lobster was great, and the salad bar amazing. I would consider going back and just doing the salad bar for its unlimited mussels and chowder. The price isn't cheap but the value is surely there. The desserts are also unlimited. I had the blueberry pie and it was a very traditional and delicious double crust pie. My kids weren't fans of the soft serve ice cream (vanilla, also unlimited) but that is a small problem in an otherwise outstanding experience. We went mid afternoon for a late lunch and missed the tour buses that arrived just as we were leaving.
It was worth the 3 hrs drive from Halifax
Good service
Loved the fresh lobster and the longest salad bar. I went with a group of 105 persons. The restaurant was able to serve fast. It was very organized because the tour organizers coordinated our visit and dinner. Loved the mussels too. Filled the bucket with the mussel shells. They also have a variety of cakes for dessert. My favourite was the lemon - coconut pie. Hope to be back!
Very very bad diner and extremely overpriced. I had a lobster that felt like a rubber in my mouth. Wouldn't recommend it all.
Excellant!!!
Had the lobster dinner here. The lobster is already cracked open when it's brought to the table. There is also a buffet of extras which is recommend skipping everything and loading up on the mussels. my table filled up our waste buckets with mussel shells.
Been here twice in the last couple weeks and both times were above expectations! I was worried about coming here since covid restrictions have changed it from a self serve buffet to staff serving you but honestly both ways are great. The staff have been super friendly and attentive to making sure your requests are met. Your meal starts with unlimited mussels, seafood chowder and rolls. Next is the salad bar, which is now operated by filling out a slip of paper and checking off the items you wish to have plated. The remaining dishes are served when requested (main meal and dessert). We will definitely return on future visits!!
(Translated) Here are the best restaurants I have eaten in Canada: -The lobster is very fresh and delicious. The salad bar here is a very large self-service form, with a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, very delicious; -The restaurant decoration is very unique, very clean and feels good; -The gift shop inside is exquisite and memorable. -Make sure to book, otherwise the queue is long! !! !! When coming to Prince's Island, be sure to come here for dinner, highly recommended!
Staple Touristy Lobster place
If you dont like mussels you are going to be overpaying, actually you need to eat a ton of mussels to make the price worth while.
Overpriced, the food was pretty terrible and the atmosphere felt like a nautically themed cafeteria. Would not recommend or return.
Extremely disappointed! From the unengaged/ inattentive staff to the less than mediocre food. I have no problem paying for quality food, but I felt completely ripped off. The scallops were deep fried from frozen, store bought pieces in a crappy panko dust. The bun for my lobster roll was old, couldn't eat it. I wasn't even offered another drink. They took my empty glass without asking as the staff continuously exited the kitchen wiping their mouths and tonguing scraps from their teeth. Our family of four left here feeling disgusted. Not yet sure if it was the food or the waste of money! Also, I've read the other reviews and cannot honestly comprehend how anyone could possibly give this place a positive review or comment. If you like food, go somewhere else. If you like to see staff dressed as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, then you're in for a treat !!
I have been here once few years back when I joined an east coast tour from BC. I love the great variety on the buffet bar. not another one I can find in the East coast. even it's far for me but am hoping I can arrange to come again on my next trip to the east when the covid is over. really looking forward to come to this restaurant again. and not to forget to mention about the great choices at the souvenir shop. very special setting to have a shop inside the restaurant. Iove it. overall the food choices, the freshness, the cleaness and the variety, I want to give more than 5 stars.
Everything very tasty!
Lots of food and good
Great food...lots of variety...great place for kids
Delicious food
Was not impressed at all - chowder was extremely salty and very little meat - mussels were small with little taste - ice milk ice cream was not ice milk, had some kind of powder filler in it. I have been here several times before and it was great - will be a while before I try this place again....
great food and service
The salad bar was really disappointing. The seafood platter was okay but all breaded and fried and really nothing special. It felt like a place where bus tourists get dropped of en masse.
Fisherman's Wharf has capitalized on the reputation of the old Women's Auxillaries in PEI that used to do lobster suppers. They do an adequate lobster supper. They have a salad and hot/cold bar that is for all the side dishes, and serve the lobster and beverages to your table. I am always a little disappointed at Fishermans Wharf. Not for the food (although my lobster this time was a large shell around a very tiny lobster), and not the service. It's really the format. One man's buffet is another man's cafeteria. I'm afraid the Fishermans Wharf experience falls into that second category. It's expensive for a cafeteria. VERY expensive. And, the atmosphere matches the cafeteria experience. Bus loads of non-English speaking visitors herded into tables, standing in line, crowding for their meal. NOT an upmarket experience. HOWEVER in the positive, you can avoid the line, order from the adjacent restaurant (same people, same building), and have a delightful and graciously served meal. For less money. Go to the restaurant - avoid the cafeteria! The food - BTW - was very good.
World Famous Fisherman's Wharf was simply the best. Unfortunately PEI Snow Crab was N/A (very hot!!) but proven truly FRESH!! Lobster, Breaded scallops, mussels, seafood chowder (so tasty!), salad bar and desert was all memorable and delicious across the board. Staff was sensational. Friendly. Helpful. Kid friendly. All observed public safety protocols. Clean location. Lots of parking. Open at 3 pm (due to freshness, again...sorry not sorry) looking forward to returning soon!
(Translated) An all-you-can-eat restaurant with lobster. It is very lively with locals and tourists. The salad bar is very good, with ice cream, cakes and biscuits. (Original) ロブスターと付け合わせ食べ放題のお店。地元や観光客でとても賑やかです。サラダバーがとても充実していて、アイスクリームやケーキ、ビスケットなどもあります。
Not the quality I'd expect for the prices
This is the big league when it comes to lobster suppers. One of the biggest salad bars you will find anywhere. Great view.
It was so-so. The snow crab was good. The lobster was just correct. The salad bar doesn't have any extraordinary things. The crew were nice though. Finally, I think it was too expensive for the quality of the food.
(Translated) Boiled lobster is very juicy and salty. It is soft and has a good texture. The bread is crunchy and fluffy, and this is also excellent. This is the best shop. (Original) ゆでたてのロブスターはとてもジューシーで塩加減も絶妙。柔らかくて程よい歯ごたえで最高です。 パンはカリカリふわふわで、こちらも絶品。 最高のお店です。
Great place but buffet would be sufficient, don’t need to order extra from the menu
Loved it! Very long buffet of salad, pastas, vegetables and mussels with drawn butter. Delicious lobster.
A decent value if you love seafood. I wish they included a little more as part of the salad bar, such as baked potato or fries, but it was still good.
Pretty good not the best reasturant around but for what it is its pretty good
Poor service. Food was okay but not priced according to the quality. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Will not go back.
All you can eat salad bar, lots to choose from, including mussels and hot butter, Hmmm Hmmm good, definitely on my to do list.
Love this place, from the chowder, salad and main meal an excellent delicious place to eat, well worth the price.
Food was incredible..... especially clam chowder....wow
Complete garbage everything from the salad muscles lobster bread soup everything nasty
Nice staff, delicious lobster, phenomenal salad bar with much more than just salad, and a fully stocked gift shop, I highly recommend
Not only located in one of Prince Edward Island's beautiful fishing communities and tourists attraction Rustico but the price is fantastic. The salad bar, seafood chowder, mussels and desserts were delicious. I recommend you try it.
I dream about the unlimited clam chowder some days . My favourite place we ate during our week stay on P.E.I
Get lobster in season, until end of July? Bucket of mussels with meal very good.
Very good food. Accommodates big groups
Decent selection and great views. Blueberry cobbler desert is out of this world.
Very fresh lobsters
Always a great meal and staff is very friendly.
Great staff, so friendly.
Fantastic buffet, picked the scallops as the main course, if I went again I would probably pick something different. Steak looked amazing, also make sure to get the chowder!
Great Maritime hospitality and seafood. Has a 75 foot salad bar.
The Best. After 4_PM the 60 ft salad bar opens.
(Translated) All you can eat salad bar including mussels when you order lobster. The clerks were also cute and could eat comfortably. About 4,000 yen per person including tax. This is a dessert that is not lined up with strawberry shortcake. It is totally different from Japanese one.
Over crowded and confused about the whole thing. Not what I expected but I will not be able to make it back.....
Good food at good prices.
Yes, you can get lobster. Or shrimp. Or scallops... but... Every main course is either fried or boiled (hopefully not the steak, but presumably you wouldn’t be going there for steak!) Even for the sides, your choice is either a boiled potato or fries. Why not just put those on the salad bar? They boast all you can eat seafood chowder (mediocre, cornstarch thickened) and mussels, as well as a 60’ salad bar. Well, 60’ of creamy, mediocre salad is nothing to brag about. If the meal was $20 then I’d give it 4 stars, but since it’s closer to $50 then they are lucky to get 2. We were a group of 9, and were seated quite quickly. The servers were friendly, but it’s the quality of food that is lacking.
Not as good Since ownership change bring back the old chowder please
I haven't been here in years and couldn't wait to go back, what a huge disappointment, way way over priced on not just the lobster but on the entire menu, I highly recommend you go to Richard's in Brackly Beach at the pier and save lots of money and have a much better meal, Fisherman's wharf is just a huge Tourist trap.
OMG, they got the best potato I never taste before.
Most of the seafood was deep fried and might as well have been served at the cheap place across the road. The decor was unpleasant but the service was indeed good. The best part was the lobster and garlic butter that came with it.
Service above and beyond! Best fish and chips I've ever eaten. The fillets were enormous. Lobster roll too, was fantastic! Eat here and you will be happy
Expensive crappy food. No salad bar till mid June!
As a tourist from the prairies, this was an amazing experience!
Great food...great service....reasonable pricing....super selection..
Good
Great seafood and salad bar. But cafeteria feel
Great experience all around: excellent food (there has got to be at least 100 items on the salad bar), excellent atmosphere, and excellent service! It has something for everyone- the best lobster supper on PEI!
Best lobster around the P.E.I. ❤️ . Services are great and the layout of the place is pretty spacious! Waitress are very kind and the buffet is always with great options. If you go to P.E.I. I recommend you to visit this place. I wish they have one in Toronto
Good deals. All you can eat, salad, clams and soup etc. Lobster about 1 lb, not bad at all for the pricing.
Great meal once again! We make a trip to Fisherman's Wharf a must every time we visit PEI. All-you-can-eat salad and dessert bars with unlimited mussels. I had lobster and my wife the chicken. Excellent, fast service. I only give it 4 stars because it is what it is... A large hall with hundreds of seats so it's a bit noisy.
Always a great seafood experience
Fabulous service and good food, lots of it, fresh hot and a variety.
Such a great experience!! We had Kenan as a server, he had an amazing personallity made our first PEI lobster dinner a great one!. Food was great, atmosphere was great, restaurant was clean.
A very friendly establishment for the size. Plenty of good food choices. A fun atmosphere to take family and friends.
Very busy, heard Amazing things about this place, staff was perfect very friendly and the food was to die for
Expansive salad bar and mussels
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE. They staff aren't knowledgeable on what it means, and the manager/owner handled the situation poorly. I was told my food was gluten free, yet one of the dishes I ate a few bites of had wheat germ in it.
Great selection on the salad bar. Get your money's worth!
The 60 ft salad bar is great, never seen anything like it. The food was delicious and the rolls were an unexpected bonus. 10/10 would eat again.
Family friendly, fresh seafood feast. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious and buffet had a wide variety of options for almost any palate. We had the 1lb lobster which is the smallest you can get. Still ample amounts of meat. The lobster comes pre-cracked either hot or cold, and you finish the job by pulling it apart and picking out the meat. The seafood chowder and all-you-can-eat mussels are delicious!
Excellent food and service
My first impression of the restaurant was fast, friendly, and all about customer experience, well that sure was not the case. Our food was over priced and was not what we expected but do to our server never coming to ensure food quality we left hungry and with a bad taste in our mouth. We tried to inform the gentleman running the dinning room but his lack of care was apparent in our experience. Would not recommend this to anyone!
Good food and service
I give it so many because of the endless desserts, but overall the door is okay and it's quite expensive.
Wide variety on the salad bar, including all you can eat mussels and clam chowder. The opportunity is provided to order just the salad bar or include one of the entrees including lobster, scallops, steak, chicken and fish. The rolls are fresh baked and hot. The assortment of sweets is good and they provide strawberry shortcake if you still have room. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are available and will be served by your waiter/waitress.
Food was excellent. Staff was great and the price was good. Definitely going back.
They have a strong selection of good quality food, though the buffet set-up isn't ideal. It wasn't very busy during my visit but I found that I would often have to queue for a while to get the food, especially the oysters. There was also some cross-contamination between the dishes. The majority of the staff were helpful and friendly though and I would still recommend a visit.
Good value for money, great service
I love this place, tons of great salad and all you can eat mussels! Visit both times to PEI in two years and the wait staff is very friendly and polite. The strawberry shortcake from the kitchen is perfect. Very nice selection of pie, and soft serve ice cream machine. You don't have to get any main course, and can just eat from the salad/mussel bar for a very reasonable price of $23 dollars. Highly recommended this place.
Was not there
It's a buffet what more can I say . Good service but mediocre food at best . I say try somewhere else .
The Best. Just go and enjoy everything.
It is funny, I like the steak instead of lobster. Probably I eat lobster too often
Awesome all you can eat dining- 60ft salad bar and great tasting lobster!
Amy and the staff put on a great meal, service was top notch!
(Translated) Too good the lobster wow (Original) Trop bon le homard wow
(Translated) If you like lobster, this is a good place to experience the traditions of a whole lobster. They have a great salad bar that goes with the lobster, and it's buffet style. (Original) Si le gusta la langosta, es un buen lugar para experimentar las tradición de una langosta entera. Tienen una gran barra de ensaladas que va con la langosta, y es estilo buffet.
The reason to go to P.E.I
Interesting experience - lobster, mussels and scallops were very tasty, though very simple straightforward cooking. Salads were ok and seafood chowder was a miss.
The BEST crab and scallops imaginable and our best dining experience on PEI! Super friendly local staff made our choices for us right down to a bread pudding (which I never would have ordered on my own) and my husband and I still talk about the extraordinary food and hospitality. If you're without a car, rent one and tour the island even for the day and make this your dinner spot! Best find on the island and you can go casually dressed!
Small lobster for price salad bar ok
Place is fun service is great food fantastic. Of course order the lobster and go after all mussels you can eat. Gift shop is nice
Busy and tight isles. Our server Hailey was very sweet and attentive. She made it a good experience. There were a couple of bus groups that made it noisy. Food was good and staff were all very friendly. I found it to be a bit pricey for what they offered. I won't go back but recommend you try it.
Heaven in a shell
Like a fast food...
Got a huge plate of sea food. It was delicious. Great service too.
Very busy place, quite expensive for the quality of food received. Fish and chips weren't that great and it was troublesome trying to get the attention of your server. There are better options if you look around!
Not busy and lots of staff working... someone motioned us to a table where we sat for 10 minutes and no one came by to give us menus or even acknowledge us. We left and my wife left her purse behind. Guy came out and said you left your purse behind. He left it on the floor in the restaurant by her seat, didn't bring it to her or acknowledge that we never got served. Went across the street where the food was great and we got friendly Island service. First time to PEI and we'll be back, just not to Fisherman's Supper.
Absolutely will not recommend. Lobsters were apparently smaller than ordered and cold when served (ordered hot). Fruits at salad bar were not fresh. The worst part: found a used bandage in salad. The manager just claimed the staffs all wear gloves. So... not their fault?
Knowledge is very good. Price very good
Servers are completely overwhelmed and thus getting anything - even their attention - can be really hard/slow. Seafood chowder is alright, bread (while it may well be made on site) is definitely not the freshest. Mussels are plentiful and delicious. Salad bar is limited to cold foods, nothing whatsoever is hot (or intended to be). I'd love to be able to give this place 5 stars - it has SO much potential. However it really was not the most enjoyable evening.
I thought the value was pretty great.
They have good food
Highly recommend the Fisherman's Warf. The seafood was fantastic and service was exceptional!
The food is good, the service is fast. but you can do the buffet as well. Their prices are competitive too. The location is great. you right in North Rustico, on the harbor. You can walk the whorf, stroll the boardwalk, or just enjoy the sunset from the park.
Fresh lobster, excellent salad bar incl. mussels and clam chowder soup, as well as coffee, dessert and soft drinks. Good service too.
We had a good experience at Fishermans wharf. Endless salad bar, bottomless mussels, a beautiful big lobster! Everything was delicious and prepared as expected. It was a great tourist thing to do. I lived here 20 years ago. Look around local wharfs and restaurants some places have plates of all seafood that will fill you for the same price or less. Better yet find a local!
Excellent Seafood.
Food did not disappoint
Great service. Friendly and fast. Food was excellent!
Loved this place went for my birthday and was given dessert with a sparkler and happy birthday sung. Cassie tour server was amazing.
BEST service I have ever received. Food was delicious. Highly recommend
Lobster straight from the boat, awesome menu to go with it, and a 60 foot salad bar....what more could you want
My family was very happy with the lobster dinners. My halibut was very good. The salad bar was disappointing and the desserts were just ok.
Loved loved loved it!!! Food was fabulous!!! ????
Awesome buffet, awesome food. Love it
Good eating. Took a group from Colorado there.
Very good food, make sure to come hungry with a good sized wallet.
We've been coming here every summer for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. The mussels are to die for, as many as you want and the lobster is always fresh and tasty.
Excellent dinner here mid September. Staff were wonderful, lobster was amazing. Mussels and chowder are a must have. Go as early as possible, to avoid the wait.
Fun but rather exspensive.
Yummy Lobster! Wish we got here Supper time so we had the chance to have the AYCE seafoods.
Great food and staff
Bruh.... all you can eat mussels... nuff said
Very well located, expect very high price
Buffet is not so amazing
Great selection of salads, lobster was good and the all you can eat mussels were amazing.
Our extended family of 12 came here on recommendations from my mom (who visited with us) who was here 4 years ago. Highlights were the rolls and the service. Price was high for quality and selection of food. Noted that there was a 60 foot salad bar but most not appealing (cold peas and corn), only hot foods were nacho chips, mussels, soup and some noodles with frozen vegetables. Contrary to what was advertised and what we had been told one would not be satisfied with the salad bar alone. Both lobster and crab did not come with potato, a surprise given the location. All fish and seafood is fried in same oil so all meals had fishy taste and batter was quite rubbery. For the close to $500 bill (No alcoholic drinks) we were very disappointed and would not recommend to others. This was a large disappointment to my mom who had great memories from her previous visit. We can only assume that the new ownership has instigated changes that have led to the current lackluster menu.
Amazing food
Great meal and experience! Our waitress was spot on!
Good food a nice place to visit
We just had lunch there today. The lobster boat was o.k. but too much lettuce and not enough lobster. The clam chowder was lacking the clams, lots of potato but I'm paying for clam chowder and not for potato chowder. I tried to talk whit the waitress about it, but no reaction, so mediocre service as well.
Awesome place to get a lobster and all you can eat salad bar, deserts, mussels, etc.
It's ok on the go eating.
Good food. Desserts and service not so good. Other wise it would have been a 5.
The staff is amazing! The lobster was good, I found it a bit pricey for what we got. I wish the salad bar was open instead of having the server get my salad. I understand the covid rules and my family was truly grateful for our visit. We hail from Niagara Falls Ontario and this just felt like a tourist trap to us for the money. But don't miss construe my review! This is a must try place if your in the area.
Lobster wasnt the best. I got the Seafood platter, which was cool to try a bunch of different types of seafood. But overall quality wasn't great.
I enjoyed it. It was a close second to New Glasgow, especially since they were already closed for the season when I went there around Thanksgiving. The format of the dinner is a little bit different in the aside from the main course everything is buffet style. But it works just the same. ????
it was ok... nothing special... couldn't get scallops without breading... tasted like kool-whip not whipped cream on dessert... chowder not good, the broth was not creamy... food/dessert/ambience didn't warrant the price
Ordered the scallops expecting a unique experience enjoying some nice big scallops as the price was very expensive. The service was good and they were well prepared but due to size were rather tough to chew. They were as small as the ones we can purchase frozen at home. We were compensated when paying the bill but feel very disappointed.
Love the 60 foot buffet coices.
Great staff! Great food!
Amazing buffet/supper restaurant. The buffet gets you unlimited sea food chowder and the best mussels I have ever had. I never pass an opportunity to go here when in Pei.
First time here. Pretty impressed at the speed of service in spite of a full restaurant. In and out in about 70 minutes. Had the 1.5 lb lobster, warm. When you are used to eating cold lobster, it is not the same. But it was cooked well.
Excellent food great service
Excellent mussles and lobster.
Nice place
Awesome service! Great fresh food!
Nothing spectacular, we felt the price was high for what it was. 60’ salad bar yes but not great quality, ie nobody had bothered to dry the lettuce after washing and soaking wet salad with dressing isn’t appealing. Lobsters were good, but still expensive.
Food was delicious and the staff was amazing!
Steak and fish was cold when it came.
It is a little expensive. However You must go! The food is amazing. Cooked properly and delicious! We had an awesome waitress. I will return if I'm ever in the area again ❤
My wife had the lobster. I had the king crab. We hit them up on short notice at the end of their day, but they still put wonderful food on our plates and treated us like royalty.
Awesome Hammer Time
Never had to pay for a meal before sitting down or eating it but overall good lobster (was in season). The chowder was basic, nothing special. Big buffet selection but again basic in taste for seasoning
The best LOBSTER and Mussels we ever had. This place is a must!!
Large place with lots of seats. Large buffet but how much potato salad and clam chowder can you eat. Snack and go for the lobster.
Wow ! What a feast . Unlimited mussels ,chowder, salad bar and biscuits ..then a 1.5 lb lobster !! Delicious . Courteous staff, our server Cody was incredible.! So attentive to our table ..he went beyond to make our visit to this restaurant memorable. We would highly recommend this restaurant
Great feed of lobster!
Fantastic atmosphere, lobster was great! 70foot all you can eat salad /desert bar was fantastic!!! Friendly staff!! Definitely a must visit!!
Not cheap, but very good. The salad bar had a good variety, the seafood chowder was excellent, the mussels were plentiful and the lobster was massive.
Food was fresh and delicious. Servers were best specially the one who served us. Best place to have dinner after visiting beautiful rustico beach. Beautiful experience. Wait time was little longer but it worth it.
The quality of food are bad and very expensive. Fruits like honeydew chop in small pieces without peeling off the skin, desserts are extremely sweet, very limited amount of choices, only muscles are eatable for me. Not sure why some reviewers giving more than one star. By the way, i drove from Toronto all the way and pass Halifax, found Halifax having better restaurants with good food in reasonable price, so was expecting that should not be too bad for the food at $40 per person but I was wrong, foods in this restaurant are garbage, waste of money. Perhaps many people going there because lock of choices.
Good food
It was ok. I had steak it was small, full of gristle and tough. It was disappointing for the price.
Food was ok, nothing special. 60' salad bar isn't that big, part of the 60' includes desserts. Ask for the dessert they prepare in the kitchen, it's pretty good. No view of the harbour due to wooden dividers. Pop, coffee unlimited too.
I have visited PEI several times over the past 20+ yrs, at least every year. Each visit I made it a point to eat here. I have even introduced others to this restaurant. This was my first visit back since Aug 2019 and covid. I was with my sister in-law and neither of us were impressed. The lady who was running the cash when you first enter was short and rude. We tried to follow the social distancing while waiting in line. However we had people behind us breathing down our necks and when something was mentioned about it she did nothing and walked away. The hostess was a very kind young lady and listened to our concern over the issue. She went back and mentioned it to a few coworkers. No one came over to address the situation at that time. Our server, Justin took our salad and drink order. Then brought our cold rolls (store bought I am sure as they were far from homemade) and tasteless chowder. I don't eat chowder but my sister inlaw from the east coast does and was extremely disappointed. Not only did it not have any flavour but it was also cold and tasted off. The salad bar was average and very small portions. She ordered the fish dinner that looked like it was coated with shake n bake and didn't look fresh either. I know fresh fish should flake apart but this didn't and almost needed a knife to be cut. I myself ordered the chicken (as I don't eat enough of the lobster for that price) and it was dry and bland until I used the dipping sauce as it actually tasted good then. Our single potato was cold and it came with a very small piece of lettuce and a few shavings of carrots with a sliver of onion as our main dish. Justin our excellent waiter was informed of the disappointment of our meal and sent the manager over without being asked too. When she arrived she was pleasant until she was informed that her food was sub-par then she said it is all of personal preference. She infact said that she had many compliments on both the chowder and fish today. Not once did she apologize for the disappointment of the food or even offer something else in it's place. She brought over tinfoil and a paper plate for us to take our uneaten portions home with us. We ordered a slice of pie each that tasted store bought. I tried the strawberry shortcake while there and the cake portion was hard and without flavour, and I am sure the strawberries had been frozen. The only enjoyable part of this experience was our waiter Justin. Keep up the good work Justin. However I will not be returning to this establishment and spending my hard earned money on an expensive meal that isn't worth the cost. Especially after driving almost 20 hrs to visit the beautiful Island. I spent less money at the Evergreen Café for 2 ppl and enjoyed every bite. I don't recommend the Fishermans Wharf to anyone anymore, but do recommend a visit to the Evergreen Café. After all PEI has many delicious local establishments.
????????????
Excellent fresh foods, fantastic service, very reasonable prices.
Very expensive, be sure to come hungry!
Amazing, accomidated food allergies on restaurant side!
Good value for the money
Awesome restaurant...little expensive....great staff
Worst seafood chowder I've had and we had to wait 30 minutes for it.. The entire table felt the same level of disappointment in the quality vs price. To their credit, the French fries were great and the server was very friendly, which is the only reason for the 2nd star on their rating. Hopefully it was just a bad night for the kitchen.
If you ever make it to Prince Edward Island, this restaurant is a must! The dining experience was nothing like I’ve had before. After ordering drinks, you are allowed up to the 60’ salad bar as many times as you’d like, ensuring you get the chance to try everything from the salad, to mussels, and the seafood chowder. When you’re ready, you let your server know you would like your entree brought out. I chose the lobster, which is caught 200 meters from the restaurant and contained in fresh salt water until ordered. The lobster was delicious, as well as the strawberry shortcake I order for dessert. All of the staff was very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be going back!
Good place to eat. Nice friendly staff.
Lobster was great, nicely cooked and fresh. It seems a bit expensive at first glance but after you realize that everything is included in the price it's actually reasonable. It includes your entree, salad bar, mussels, seafood chowder and dessert. Clean inside and friendly service.
This is a great experience for all levels of food lovers. It's your full PEI saefood experience.
It wasn't too busy when we got there, the staff were all very friendly. Decent variety in the salad bar, the lobster was cooked well, and cracked well enough that you weren't fighting out every piece of meat! Expensive, but good!
Great food awesome service! This is a stop we make everytime we come to PEI and we have never regretted it yet!
This place is awesome!!! Excellent, friendly service and awesome food. I really enjoyed my first lobster supper experience here!
Most amazing food well worth the time and money.
Their all-you-can-eat mussels + salads + desserts special is a DEAL. Only paid about $25. Went for dinner and did not have to wait at all. Had a lovely time here! Everyone - the hostess, server, etc. were all delightful and very friendly. Our server in particular, an older woman from Ottawa, was absolutely superb. She's a rockstar! Definitely come here for a genuine north PEI food experience. They even have a gift shop in the front for all the ocean/beach/boat themed gifts you could ever imagine.
Good service and great food
Awesome place to eat lobster was delish and a great salad bar
Waitress was friendly and energetic and the food was great, endless buffet and huge Lobster!!
Food was ok at best. 60 foot salad bar is just a regular salad bar with larger bins. Dressings were from a vat. Nothing homemade. The breaded haddock was over cooked and dry. The desserts were clearly from a mass produced bakery. There was nothing remarkable about the meal except the price and that was only remarkable because it was too high. If you’ve never had seafood, you may find it great. If you’re familiar with seafood you’ll be disappointed. Service was great.
Very busy place Service was good and the chowder amazing. The manger host needs to put a smile on his face and let the world knows he has a personality. Overall a great place but we left feeling we were just 4 more tourists
What an amazing treat ! Experienced Joey 's lobster tour and ate at the Fisherman's wharf !The best seafood restaurant ever! Lovely place to be !
Wait staff was great, food just ok.
The food wasn't great. Very expensive. Our table of eight wasn't very well attended to by staff. Didn't have enough utensils. No where to put our finished plates, not enough napkins, nothing to put our mussel shells in, wait staff didn't explain the salad bar and what was included. The gift shop is over priced and the woman working the gift shop is very very cranky and yells at your kids. If you pick anything up to look at it she will ask you to put it down. Overall a terrible experience and not a very family oriented restaurant. The focus seems to be on the bus tours and geared towards people whom will never return.
Everything was great, desserts medicore.
Great place if you want to eat lobsters
Good food.
OMG the best seafood chowder that I have had, would highly recommend it when in PEI, staff is wonderful as well.
Salad bar mediocre. Took well over an hour for our lobster to arrive. Poor service, although I don't feel it was the server's fault - they were run off their feet. Very loud, chaotic.
ALL YOU CAN EAT mussels, salad and desert for $24.99. Can't go wrong with that! Our server from Ottawa was super friendly and funny! Loved it.
Amazing experience!
More than enough to eat and the service was excellent.
Service was awesome food was delicious but there tabolie need more garlic and lemon juice
Very good lobster. Great price for such a meal.
Goo~~good!
My daughter and 2 grandchildren went there this evening. We were very disappointed. The bill for 2 adults, and 2 young children for buffet only, no lobster. It was $72. There was little for salad and the cold pasta was tasteless as were the other items at the salad bar. The desserts were awful and I make far better strawberry shortcake
The lobster and steak was good. The salad bar was also good. A great place to visit.
Poor dessert options. Mediocre food. Definitely not worth the money. Second star is just for nice dining place and salad bar
If I could give negative stars, I would. My family's bill was roughly $150 for two lobsters, a steak and a haddock meal. Definitely not worth it. My mother's Haddock was grey and very salty. Very obviously pre-fab. My sister, who asked for a medium-cooked steak got a very small, very "thoroughly cooked" piece of plastic. The seafood chowder was bland and quite obviously from a can, and most of the salads on the salad bar where pre-packaged and commercial. But the most disappointing part were the lobsters. The 1lb lobsters that my dad and I ordered were flavourless and full of water. They had almost no meat, almost as if someone had already tried to eat it. Please be wary, this place is not for the people who are looking for a fine meal. I would highly recommend the New Glasgow Lobster Supper in New Glasgow. The same prices, but everything was homemade.
Liked all of it and sooo many muscles eaten!!! Lobster was as advertised but good and the desserts were tasty.
Food was wonderful. Staff incredible. Definitely going back
Excellent food.good atmosphere. Helpful staff.location great.
Good food and service.
The muscles were the best. My dad enjoyed the lobster (and he is an islander so that says a lot. My bfs steak was perfectly cooked.
Awesome place...
Great food and great service. Loved the all you can eat mussels.
We travelled all the way across the country for the famous maritime seafood and this was nothing more than an expensive glorified feeding trough that you could also buy lobster at. Sorely disappointing. The buffet is a waste of money and the lobster ok.
Good as always
Perhaps we caught them on a bad night. Service was great, food was not. Cold lobster, bland steak, 3 hr ordeal. Mussels were good, if they were hot....which wasnt often. This is a place for ppl who don't know what good food tastes like- i wouldn't take friends here. Way too much money for the qualitý.
Buffet for 34.99-55.00 CAD (adult), included salads and mussels, chowder soup, main dish, desserts. Very good and attentive personnel, they serve quite quick. Do not accept rezervations.
Good
A must stop place on your east coast adventure. Amazing food, friendly staff
Great food service and the salad bar was great .special bonus when we were there was strawberry shortcake brought straight from the kitchen for us .steak was the best since leaving Alberta
You can get really good lobster, the meal comes with soup, scallops, salad, dessert and coffee, price is very reasonable, $29.99 + tax. I would recommend to try the coconut cream pie Glad, we stopped by here, they also have a gift and souvenir shop. After 4 pm they have supper at the right part of the building. I really recommend this place.
The experience was good overall. Ate tonight with our family of seven. The salad buffet was great, with lots of different selections. Tried PEI blue mussels for the first time, and am now a big fan!!The 2lb lobster was great! Rather disappointing kid's steak dinners, both of which which were badly overcooked and hardly edible. Very disappointing for the price - $26.99 for each kid's dinner! My wife's steak was cooked well. Service by Shelby was super and very friendly. Overall a good meal, but for the price, disappointed that the non-lobster dinners weren't so great. $50+ is a lot of money for two poorly cooked steak dinners!!!!
Good food and service
Visited at the end of season. Spent over $300 on a retirement dinner. Out of 11 people eating, the only edible food was chicken fingers. The lobster and chicken were dry and poorly reheated. The salad bar had nothing that tasted good. Everything was wilted, sour, or just tasted awful. An old staple of any visit to PEI, after many years of visits, we will never be going back. Many of us felt very ill 4 hours after eating.
Nice place to stop in on. Food was a 4 out of 5... all was very tasty.
The best restaurants!
Good food and service, second time with the Mrs!
Seafood heaven..!!! Great food, friendly staff...can ask for more.
Great food!!!! Service could have been better I think we had a new staff member as people around us were getting items that we continually had to ask for. Overall a must do!
We waited an hour and 45 minutes to get our entries. the waitress never cleared our table. She never came and let us know what the problem was. And the food was medeocre at best. We were on a bus tour with a 6:30 reservation we didn't get our food until 8:50 pm.
This place was recommended by a local. I'm not sure why. Food was average at best. Service was horrible. And this place is WAY overpriced. I would never go back. Don't waste your money. (Aug 2016)
Owners and staff somewhat rude and tried to load up their seating space in areas away from our car group. Very expensive. Not run by PEI people and don't have the maritime hospitality. One price one deal and no choices. Food was average not great.
Great food, even greater staff if I may say so! There's nothing not to love about this place!! And don't leave without trying their strawberry shortcake!!!
My server Kenan was an amazing server! He really attended to our needs as my son has lots of food allergies and he made sure that my little guy would be happy and ok! The food was excellent that seafood chowder and strawberry shortcake was the best!
A great Maritime dining experience all-you-can-eat Mussel Bar you can really fill up on them you will never ever go away hungry from this place good job thanks again for the greasy smile I have on my face
Had the mussels with lobster cream sauce. Amazing. ????
Good service cheap food
Food was really good..
Ok but not really what i expected Very noisy, the wait to get a table is all right but once yiu are seated, 1 hour to receive our meal is way to long. And then when we finally received our meal, they were not filling up the buffet...
Not an inexpensive dinner but rarely is quality ever cheap. If you leave hungry it's your fault.
(Translated) Super rest. (Original) Super resto.
Absolutely horrendous service. The only reason we stayed is because they were the only place open. The gentleman that opened the door was so rude. No problem at all that some stuff wasn’t available because of end of season, but is it necessary to be rude? All they did was tell us they had a bus and we had to hurry up and tell us they should have been closed last weekend. How is that our problem? Food was mediocre at best.
Amazing resturant I remember this place as a small child visiting with my grandparents and my bf and I stumbled across it in September it is still as amazing as I remember:)!
The best lobster roll ever!
Our server Kenan was phenomenal. Best service we've had in a restaurant in a long time. Food was excellent. I had surf and turf - 6oz.steak / 1Lb lobster. Cooked perfectly. Mrs had crab legs - generous serving. Had our fill on buffet salad/ mussels and desserts too. Prices may seem expensive , but they're fair value.
(Translated) Low price and good quality, buffet, limited to one main course, lobster 34, snow crab 38, unlimited mussel, you can eat in before 20:30 (Original) 价廉物美,自助餐,主菜限一种,龙虾34,雪蟹38,mussel无限量,20:30之前都可以进去用餐
Good place to dine
The lobster supper is big enough to split.
Been coming here for years, great food.
Great food, value and fun every time I visit.
The food is good and the service is great but it is a little pricey
(Translated) First surprise: You have to choose your menu before entering and you pay at the entrance. We had the 60 foot salad bar that includes the Seafood Chowder. All menus include the salad bar. We are offered a basket of rolls. For beverages: liquor fountain at will, coffee ... For 25 $ CDN, it's a bargain. Pasta salads are good. Although very small, there are even mussels at will. Clam chowder alone is worth the price paid. Generally, desserts are very ordinary in buffets: not there! Tartlets, Nanaimo, whipped cream ... The only negatives are the confusion at the entrance of the restaurant that reigns to understand the system, as well as the ambient noise, a bit staggering. The configuration of the ceiling does not absorb the noise ... The service performed by very young employees is very good. Strongly advise! Vivement conseiller!
Expensive and food was just okay.
Ice cream
Lobster is always great here. 60 foot all you can eat salad bar and mussels are a definite plus. The kids meals are good sizes and come with the salad bar if the child is under 6yrs old. The seafood chowder is a bit too creamy for my liking but that's just my taste preference. Staff are always experienced and friendly. Coming here is an annual tradition for us!
Over priced and over rated.
Amazing salad bar, steamed mussels and delicious seafood chowder included in the salad bar, as well as pop, coffee, tea, and dessert! Great value for a lobster supper with the salad bar etc included.
Great food
Food is great
Way overcrowded and too loud.
Amazing lobster dinner!
Great place to eat
Very large venue for some very fresh lobster!
Always good. Salad bar is amazing.
Had a pretty great time here. The salad bad was okay. Surf and turf was delicious but pricey. The decor was awesome but we found it a little bit cramped. It was very loud with so many people but we knew that before heading in. The servers, despite being overwhelmed, were quick, efficient and friendly!
Everything was fresh. Atmosphere was amazing. Beautiful views.
fresh and juicy lobster , plus ice milk mix.
Excellent Food and great service!
3 adults and one child. We didn’t get our food for 45 mins. My burger was very over cooked, fish was over cooked for the fish-n-chips. fish tacos weren’t great, and the fish was very small on them. Everything was overpriced for the quality. My son enjoyed his chicken strips and Cesar salad. So that’s one star.
Fresh seafood but chowder disappointed
Really expensive for the quality. The Lobster was ok and not so fresh. Me and my son felt not good after (belly soar) and we did not eat a lot. I payed 98$ for a 1 1/2 pound lobster, a 3/4 pound children lobster and a 6 year old child salad bar...
The food is delicious and service was exceptionally quick and super friendly! Would recommend for sure. We had the seafood chowder which was great flavour and the lobster wrap Wich was very fresh! Again staff was very accommodating and friendly!
We had great service. Although we didnt think the salad bar was good. All the pasta salads tasted the same... the mussels were not tasty if youre used to eating good mussels. The chowder was ok and our main meals were good although my steak was overcooked... the dinner rolls were amazing on the other hand !!!!
If you want a great lobster dinner this is as good as it gets
Once we exited from the Green Gables tourist center we drove over to Pier 15, the A La Carte division of the Fisherman's Warf restaurant in Rustico. Fried calamari, pan fried scallops & pan fried haddock. Wow! Excellent!
First time ever it was pricey but awesome for us first timers in pei
Great selection of food on the salad bar BUT flavorless. I'm not a spicy food eater and I do not add salt to my plate BUT these salad dishes needed a boost of flavor. I ordered the cold 1.5 lb lobster it was okay. The melted butter was more oil that butter. Desserts was plentiful, good strawberry shortcake. Bottom line: I would not recommend this location for seafood lovers.
Surf and turf was great
Great food, salad bar was exceptional, desserts out of this world. The service was incomprable
Warm rolls, fresh rolls, Massive dining room for the evening lobster supper. Gift shop. Food is amazing and so is the staff. Beautiful little town. Right on the wharf.
Terrible service. My son who has a life-threatening medical condition that prevents him from eating was expected to pay for the buffet even though it was made very clear that he would not be consuming any food. Despite our arguments, the staff insisted that he pay. We left, never to return again! A very discouraging experience for a vacationing family of five!
Absolutely love this place! The lobster is always cooked fresh!
I hadn't been to Fisherman's Wharf in several years and I was excited to go back, but unfortunately it was a disappointing visit. The food was just fair at best. Lobster itself was ok but the salad bar wasn't very good. One version of the potato salad was good and the rolls and desserts, but the rest of the offerings left a lot to be desired. The mussels were cold, the chowder wasn't great, the hummus was inedible, the pasta salad and other type salads weren't tasty at all. And the flies buzzing around our table were quite annoying at an indoor restaurant. I overheard one of the other customers asking for a refund because of the flies. I have no desire to return to FW. I wish I did. Next time, I'll have to go to New Glasgow Lobster Suppers instead.
Great dinner buffet
Fabulous food and really reasonable Loved it
Really nice Salad Bar & tons of Desserts baked on premises.
Wonderful salad bar! Anything you could possibly want and then some. The seafood is great as well. Dessert and drinks included!
Went on canada day was fun
Nice place
food was amazing. staff very friendly. restaurant very clean. gift shop has a lot of different gifts
Great food, good salads, seafood chowder and unlimited helping of mussels. The lobster is great. Pleasant staff. Wine is ok.
It was the best clam chowder, muscles and lobster I ever had and I lived in Florida and travelled to North Carolina Outer Banks. Fantastic food and service! Made me proud to be Canadian.
Fantastic lobster dinner. Service was top notch and Elena made our night memorable. Would highly recommend.
Tourist trap. Over cooked foods and nondiscrip chowder.
Great service and fantastic food...bring your appetite!
Don got the lobster which was fine and I got the rotisserie chicken (not a lobster fan) which was somewhat dry. But, for the most part, the salad bar was very nice. Service was good.
If you love the seafood: this place rocks!!! 60 foot buffet included with your pricey meal. Enjoy yourself and stuff your face!! This place is larger than the average restaurant by at least double or triple in square footage. PS Unlimited pop for those of you that live that sort of a thing.
5 of us ate here last week. Great food, lobster was excellent, fish and chips thick and flaky, chowder was very good. Place was filled, but we were seated right a way. Employees were friendly, and delivered on time. Great food, great experience. Dont understand the bad reviews, 2 in our party are life long residents of PEI, restaurant has been around for decades. Nice gift shop attached as well. Oh, also..full service bar awaits you.
Excellent lobster! Everything I tried was good! A really fun experience. I like that people are seated at their own table versus community seating.
The service was not the greatest. The food was adequate. Nothing special. We were there once a year for the past 6 years. This one may be our last.
Great food. Love the salad bar
During the pandemic, you would place an order of your salad, mussel or clam chowder with your waiters/waitresses, and they would bring it to you. The lobster and scallops we ordered are good, but the greatest value is definitely the all you can eat mussel which is part of the salad bar offering. Staffs are very friendly and informative.
Pleasantly surprised. Great food and service. The new owners have made some great changes. We will definitely be back again.
Fantastic. No other way to put it. The all u can eat muscles are incredible
We used to go every year. Ownership changed and it is not as good as it used to be. It used to have many seafood options but not so much now. The fisherman's platter is no longer available. Very disappointing. However service was great.
Sea food chowder and mussels were excellent and so was the island burger
Lots of amazing food! Restaurant has a ton of energy! So much fun and unique!
Lobster dinners is the best place I ever went for supper .
I was there last summer, it was a warm day Salad bar. Big public advertising about it How do I put it nicely I am from western canada and my husband and I Always recommended people.to try fishermans wharf I personally was disgusted the stage the salad bar was in I am embarrassed I ever recommended it It was 4:45 pm and room air was lovely so no reason to blame the condition of bar on that, the laughing and the fun the staff Was having was a pleasant sound, compared to some environments we've been in Only thing maybe some energy should be focused on quality and cleaning of restaurant should take priority . I remained on the island for some time , and on yet another day, giving them the benefit of the doubt I proceeded to try my favorite spot again ..... Appalling, no one even came for 12 min to ask if we wanted a drink Another 9min passed no one returned with drinks, and there was only our party of 4 in restaurant..... I gave up and took our friends and left
Love this place! Such a fun experience... Great food and service! First timer but will be back!
Everything is included (except alcohol). Salad and steak were disappointing but let's face facts, you're coming here for the seafood (which I was told was fresh and delicious).
Great food service huge buffet fun
Great supplies of fresh lobsters and other seafood
Clean
Excellent. 60ft salad bar. Endless muscles plus lobster Awesome
Amazing all you can eat salad bar, desserts and all you can eat mussels!! Seafood chowder was also very meaty and tasty! Great ambiance right by the north rustico wharf.
Not worth the price service Ok
Amazing food and the server Alex was great. Highly recommend coming here
Had Lobster and North Atlantic Salmon excellent food and even better service
Great place. Delicious food. Buffet fantastic and mussels and lobsters very fresh. Great service. Reasonable price.
Huge salad bar, great staff
Food was amazing and will definitely be back.
Great place to have a lobster dinner. Great staff
Was not as good as the price would make you believe it should be. Cesar Salas was ok. Chowder was disappointing
Fantastic food and atmosphere! Can’t wait to get back here! If you’re on the island and don’t stop in you’re missing out.
Traditional seafood restaurant. Good food but a bit pricey. A must if you are coming for the lobster experience!
Great seafood! The salad bar is great, and even desserts were excellent!
Amazing food
Horrible. The whole family went yesterday (August 2, 2016). Over priced, lobster was tough; breading on shrimp tasted like it came from a box. Strawberry shortcake was horrible; strawberries in gelatin between some store bought sponge cake with some kind of topping they called whipped cream. Pies; also tasted store bought. Very little homemade here. That was our last time there. Many more quality restaurants in the area.
Great lobster supper - quite the tourist trap but great all the same.
This place is delicious! Definitely a must go, if visiting P.E.I!
It was fantastic as always
Went with my fiancé and had a great time. My fiancé had never eaten lobster before and the staff were very helpful with explaining the best way to go about it all and making it an enjoyable experience for the two of us. The lobster turned out great and it was very nice to have unlimited trips to the huge salad bar. We were surprised how much the salad bar had, with many salads and fruits as well as muscles, chowder, pastries, pies, and ice cream. We really enjoyed our dinner and look forward to going back.
The food was amazing and plenty of it.
Very good selection on the 60' salad bar. Good lobster and other seafood choices, along with steak and chicken entrees. Good choices of various desserts. Friendly and speedy staff for a bus group of 52.
Seafood was good. But my mom orsered chicken and it was super dry.
Tried the lobster cold as apparently it is the islander way, not for me but glad I tried it, would return
We were there July 2018. Me & the wife. We went into the restaurant section which was empty. We asked a question about the pricing and the surly Host told us "...that's why we have a menu displayed at the entrance." We decided to stay because we were tired from a long day. The food was good. We noticed/overheard the guy getting angry because of a mix up in the other section, so we felt some more bad vibes. So much for that Island Friendliness that we hear about. We get enough bad attitude in Ottawa, and naively didn't expect it here. The older waitress was a little crusty, but she grew on us. The pies are homemade.
Very expensive for mediocre to poor food. Oil based topping on strawberry shortcake was gross Service was average and the60 ft salad bar needs signage to indicate products Wouldn't recommend
Something for everyone and the staff very friendly!
Love it .going back next year
Awesomely stuffing!! The all you mussels!????????
This place is VERY good! Service is amazing and they treat guests in the best manner :) The food was delicious! Will come back if im around this part of the island again!!
Best snow crab I ever had
This place is a classic east coast seafood experience. Highly recommend.
Great place, 60 foot salad bar, all you can eat mussels, the place to eat when in PEI.
We love this place , was in P.E.I. for a week vist this place twice , food is great , staff is wonderful , would recommend to anyone that busts P.E.I., you have to try !!!.
Good food and service
Excellent food and very friendly staff.
Everything about this place is dated. From the decor, to the dishes, to the staff. Depressing atmosphere. It's in desperate need of an upgrade.
Food was ok. On our second trip the service was awful. Rude servers and a rude manager. We didn't like the scallops and the manager said he thought they looked good and wouldn't take them off the bill or offer anything or even apologize. Don't recommend this place. Salad bar you can go once and they give you a small plate. Youre not allow to share your food.
We had a great time and lobster supper. Attentive service and amazing food.
Delicious lobster and massle
Excellent food, lobster done perfectly. Service was great. It would be a pleasure to go again.
I was a little disappointed this year.. hopefully it will be better next year..
We had a great meal with many great people. We got to enjoy the company of a very generous couple and hard working honest MLA.
Great food and great service.
The food wasnt cooked service was very very poor 4 hours wait Never again
Enjoyed our meal very much with friends and family
Would not recommend this spot. Experience was not good. Price is too high for quality of food. NO FRESH FOOD. Mash potatoes were instant, fries were frozen baged yukon potatoes. Steak was a horrible cut and cooked very unevenly.
Outstanding..must return..food n Service Amazing.
The classic supper, by the water with appropriate nautical decor. Pay first, eat as much as you want.
We always take our guests here for a lovely lobster supper and they are always pleased with what we get and the service.
heard tons of hype, left feeling unimpressed. lunch salad bar was good, seafood chowder was very disappointing. very little taste and very little seafood as far as I could tell. portion was OK, nothing special. a bit pricey for what was offered up. restaurant itself is nothing special. service was average, and staff couldn't get us out the door fast enough. Noone asked how the meal was, hence this review. my advice is to pass on this place. surely there has to be something better. bottom line....blahhh.
Paid almost 100 dollars for dinner waited 45 min before anyone came to have order placed for lobster. Came here to de-stress not get stressed. Service sucked last year as well. Will not be back and will no promote this astablishment in a positive way.
Fresh seafood done right. I will be back.
Fast friendly service. Thanks
Hey the scallop and fries was 33 $ . 2 people I was with didn't care for it . I had fish and chip 15$ 1 piece . Was good . And another had the lobster wrap special 14$ she liked hers . Child meal 9$ as far as I Remember fish bites she liked hers . Pier 15. Attached to this place
If you like pompous and pretentious service then Robert is your guy. I really feel for the staff that is made to dress like kindergarten kids. The wait staff was great but can't make up for high prices, Roberts arrogant attitude and just average food.
Friendly service and great salad bar. People in my tour group liked their lobster a lot better than Murphy's at Halifax. Well, I don't eat shell fish, so I can't comment on that. I had steak and unfortunately it wasn't very enjoyable. It was a bit dry and there was no gravy or other warm sauces to smooth out the dryness.
Seafood chowder was bland. All you can eat mussels, salad bar and buns were great & fresh though! Lobster was fantastic! Scallops were unimpressive.
Have been here a few times over the past few years and this time was terrible. Our service was very bad and we felt like we were forgotten about. It was beyond slow and we had to ask other waitresses to put in our main course menu and had to ask our waitress to clear dishes from our table when she did finally come around! 2 of us had the chicken which was very dry and stringy and fibrous...like it was sitting around for ages. One had the lobster which was small and tasteless. The muscles were tasteless also. The salad bar was mediocre at best. The strawberry shortcake for dessert was good. Overall, not worth the money (over priced). Oh and to top it all off the ladies washroom was the most foul smelling bathroom I have ever encountered and was dirty and smelled like an outhouse. Avoid this tourist trap.
The food was very tasty, had the shrimp, a good healthy serving and delicious. The salad bar has almost anything and everything you can imagine, a meal in itself. The mussels, all you can eat were delicious, not any overpowering taste and the dessert amazing. The coffee was also very, very tasty!!!!
Lobster is great and so is the salad bar but way over priced and their chowder has really gone downhill.
Avoid at all costs. After an hour we had not even had appetizers, only dinner rolls and not even served with side plates. Should have known as it took forever to even get our drinks and a waiter to cine to the table.
All you can eat salad bar, with mussels, chowder, drinks and desert. Fantastic deal. Pier 15 attached for a light lunch or quiet dinner. Love both
Lobsters aren't too big nor tasty, other order items were mediocre, and it was way too crowded.
Chower was average and so was the salad bar. Lots of fresh muscles, excellent homemade bread! Dessert was good. Lobster was excellent however the striploin steak I had was very tough but they replaced it promptly with a new and slightly more tender one. I guess I should order lobster at lobster dinner instead of steak. Lobster was sweet and fresh!! Great service and decent overall food. 4 stars because of the excellent and smiling service by all staff.
Terrible service. Our server was very friendly and is doing the best she can. She was very busy and had very little time to give to each table. Not her fault. I had better steak at McDonald’s. All the food is lacking in flavour. No spices at all. Coffee is cold. Supposed to be all you can eat. But they do not facilitate any means to eat at the salad bar repeatedly. I would not recommend as a good dining experience. If you want to eat out of a trough and not care what you are shovelling in at ridiculous prices. This is the place for you.
Excellent food, all you can eat chowder, lots of choices on the salad bar
A must when we visit PEI
Huge portions of standard fare food. Looks like a place tour buses would stop. Food is good. Decor is dated.
Visited Aug 28th very friendly staff, super fresh seafood, can't beat the AYCE chowder and PEI mussels the lobster entree was good, however only 3/5 stars due to the overall cost. Yes there is a huge salad bar, however not alot of folks goes to a seafood resto to fill up on salad side dishes
The lady serves us is very friendly and nice. Although it is very busy at the restaurant, she smiles all the time when serving us. She frequently checks how we are doing and makes sure we are having what we want. On the contrary, the lady at the reception desk who takes our order is cumpy and rude. First, she doesn't seem to care that we are first time customers to the restaurant. She doesn't spend time telling us how things work here and expects us to know everything about ordering, such as kids under certain age is free, and others are obligated to order a main course etc. She answers our question about menu impatiently and treats us like we are dummy. Second, she is mean to my kids who are trying to run to us from the gift shop in the restaurant. She told them to stop running or they could not come here any more. I don't see the point of her talking like that. I hope she could talk more nicely.
At first it seems quite expensive but if you take advantage of the unlimited mussels, chowder, salad, and dessert, you realize it is worth it. Can end up being a very expensive experience but fun to do for a special occasion or a treat! Service was a bit slow but it gives you time to digest between courses.
On a 13 day tour of Canada and this is by far the best place to eat so far!!
So good
Outstanding place with great atmosphere. We had the most pleasant server that I have ever came across with outstanding service skills. Job well done Sam!!! Definately a place to try.
