Here you have all the opinions of people like you who are purchasing the products of Carr's Oyster Bar (Fish Shop) in Cavendish area (Canada).
At present this firm gets a rating of 4.2 stars over 5 and the rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is really good, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to set opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop corresponds to the category of Seafood restaurant.
Great view and friendly staff, but menu items are very hit or miss. Lobster roll was decent, but a little sloppy. Mussels and oysters were great. Fish & Chips was very fishy, dry and overcooked - don't order it, ever.
Beautiful place, amazing staff and menu! Thanks Phyllis you are a Gem????
Fish and Chips were amazing!! Fast and really pleasant server!! Thanks Carr's
Delicious restaurant by the sea. They have great deserts too!
Service was excellent. Beer was cold.we went with friends who wanted oysters. They said the oysters were worth the trip. We had lobster rolls which we ok but more expensive than I thought they should be. All in all the experience was enjoyable and the food overall was a 4/5. Server was friendly and did a great job
Great food and a lovely view of the harbor
Great place to eat, the food & service is top notch. Best seafood you can get.
Absolutely amazing...to think we made it on its last full day before it closes????
Great!
Fresh, juicy and sweet oysters, very good lobster slide and chowder.
(Translated) Very well I really love Texas with views of the small port is charming and the oysters are delicious (Original) Très bien j'ai vrement aimer la Texas avec vus sur le petit port est charmante et les huîtres son délicieuse
Ok (unfortunately) From all of the hype, I thought it would be much better. The lobster roll meat tasted like canned frozen lobster and watery. The fried sampler platter was an overall let down. The shrimp were dry and overcooked, the oysters were so over battered they could have been ... anything and still achieved the same effect. On the plus side, the crab cakes were particularly delightful (unfortunately too few to savour in their quality). As well, the fries made from PEI's best potatoes, were especially yummy. A special note to pet owners and travellers, dogs are not welcome here, even on their outside deck. There is a couple of chair located off the premises to have your take out if you so desire
A little pricey
This place was highly recommended to us but we didnt see what the hype was about. Yes the food looked good and the ambience was good but the food lacked taste. There was no value for money either!!
Good experience overall. Food was good and the oysters were excellent. Service was polite and helpful. Would recommend!
Only gift shop...
Went for oysters and they were short of oysters. The people were nice and our waitress was exceptional. The seafood chowder was made with minced seafood.
Carr’s Oyster Bar should definitely be on your list of things to do when I’m PEI. It’s a super cute seaside lunch/dinner spot. Great seafood - fresh or fried. Check out Carr’s ASAP!
Always make sure to stop by here when in PEI, oysters are always great and fresh. They just need freshly ground horseradish.
Great food, friendly staff, slow service. Portions slightly small for the price but only a minor point.
Stopped for a drink and afternoon snack!! Had The muscles and Caesars were great!! Waitress asked if we have ever had Raw Oysters both had not, she talked us into have them! We did they were AWESOME!! A must stop place if you are running around the Anne of Green Gables area!!!
The food was tasty, but service was horrible. We were told there would be a 45-minute wait for food, but we waited over 1 1/2 hours for our meal, and the server didn't even come to check on our drinks during that entire time. The portions were small and very expensive. Would not recommend.
With generations of experience in PEI’s oyster industry the folks at Carr’s will serve up some of the best oysters you’re ever gonna eat! Check out the super fun oyster bar out front or enjoy the view from the patio before stopping into the gift shop and marine museum, which it totally cool!
While the food was pretty good, it struck us as a typical tourist location, having been told all the decent tables were reserved (of course, none filled up while we were there from 4:45 - 5:45)... Service not great, and of course no one lifts their head to say goodbye on the way out, even though we didn't lodge a complaint, etc. You can do better on this island than this location, and you should!
It's not fancy but always delicious. Beautiful view and a nice patio with perfectly cold beer and expertly shucked oysters. If nothing else, you must have their pie!
Amazing in every way!
great location, , we chose this restaurant for a family birthday supper , while on vacation in Cavendish, PEI. I was the quest of honor. All of the adults ordered the shellfish with a sampling of oysters, mussels, clams.. My food arrived and as I started to enjoy the first oyster,,I found a long black hair had been cooked along with the shellfish in my serving dish. Not wanting to make a scene , , I removed it after pointing it out to my adult daughter but alas, my meal was ruined. When our waitress came back to the table , she asked it everything was OK, ,I told her about the hair, and her remark? "Was it one of mine?" and then laughed. She never asked if I wanted another serving, or even offered an apology. When the sizeable bill was paid, there was no discount or apology.. There are so many other places offering great food and service in the area , this will be our last trip to this restaurant.
Lobster dinner with potato salad and buttery vegetables. And a side of seafood chowder. So good.
The food was very good. Beautiful view.
This is a place to visit if you like fresh well prepared seafood.. I visited with my father Oct 2014, and started with 5 x-large oysters.. and he had the steamed soft shell clams.. both were amazing.. local from the bay out the window oysters what can u say.. so ordered some fried clams and they were also very well prepared.. not to much breading.. and cooked perfectly, still tasted like clam.. loved it.. (whole belly) Best we had this time of the year here in PEI so far..
The food portions were not worth the cost. Also avoid the tourist trip next to the restaurant.
Really loved the oysters and the chicken nachos with extra cheese!
Hands down the best place on PEI for oysters! We drove back half way across island to come back here, I highly recommend it!
it's a favourite whenever we're in PEI. fried whole clams. best ever.
Over priced like the rest of the tourist food here, it would be nice for a single restaurant to have fair prices in this historic town.
Excellent food, great view.
Friendly staff, food for every taste
This great stop certainly competed for our vote for the best chowder house in PEI but it fell just a little short. Still worth 5 stars, but there are just so many seafood specialty restaurants that it is impossible for any one of them to be rated #1. You can't go wrong here!
Service was good, nice atmosphere. However it was a little bit overpriced.
Best Oysters in Atlantic Canada
Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices.
The food is excellent, seafood fresh, baked goods made on site outstanding. Our server was delightful. The setting is authentic as it gets.
They were terribly nice and we spend a fantastic 2h there… must stop!
Fresh, tasty and good price. Love it!
Oyster bar that didn't have oysters, salad did not have dressing, big price for oysters that are locally caught.
Great food friendly staff
Perfect setting and fantastic food.
I was dissapointed. I love seafood and thought that these guys would know it well. In a large group we all agreed it was just OK and being in a tourist trap location it was way over priced. So if generic seafood is what you want this is your place. Small plates, small flavor, big price.
Food was good and service was friendly.
Interesting story. I was down here three years ago, briefly driving through the area and my sister and I stopped at Carr's for lunch. Fast forward to a few days ago. My husband and I came to PEI for the first time together and somehow end up at Carr's. I said to him...I recognize this place....its the same place Helen and I came to a few years ago. Carr's has a reputation for a reason. The oysters are to die for! The scenery is amazing and the staff are all so incredibly friendly! We've been back twice already!
Nice family style restaurant with a nice big terrace for over 75 people. I don't like oysters but a lot of people do. The mussels were good, the clam chowder was nice and flavorful. The main dish was very good, tasty shrimps (2) scallops (3) fish haddock , patato salad + coleslaw. Fountain drinks + cookie + cake. Not cheap but once in a while.
Oysters are so fresh!
I loved it, friendly service, great food, two herons off the deck, my first ever raw oyster
We love Carr's and visit every year. Amazing food and friendly staff.
Great menu and location
Ran out of sauce and didn't tell me
Great place with the best food and staff right on the water.
We went to PEI as a birthday vacation and decided to stop here for dinner. My girlfriend has food restrictions that doesn't allow her any seafood or meat. The only vegetarian option was veggie tacos which she was very excited about. However, the tacos were less than satisfying. All it was was sauteed carrots, bell pepper and onion in oil, maybe some salt and pepper, in two tortillas and choice of fries or potatoes salad. The view was beautiful, our waitress was the sweetest and she gave us great service, but unfortunately my girlfriend's food was not good. No salsa, no sour cream, no taco seasoning at the very least. No guac, no cheese... Worst thing, this meal cost her 18$ when there was not a single source of protein. My meal was the Oyster Po-Boy and cost 20$. It's unfortunate that the only vegetarian option does not offer much. Having to pay this much for just vegetables in tortillas is disappointing. We are hoping to come back eventually, with maybe a better vegetarian option!
The most amazing oysters ever for me. Pricey but worth it! We had 20 large oysters for 2 of us and we devoured them. Thanks Carr's!
Server wasn't super personable but the view and the food were incredible. For an oyster bar, of course the oysters were on point but the burger was actually one of the best I've had all year. Fries>potato salad. Definitely would recommend.
Great view and service. The fresh oysters and quahogs (clams) were fantastic, as was the chowder. This place is definitely worth a visit if you like great seafood. It was a pleasure to sit outside on a nice day.
Excellent food
A great disappointment. Fish/seafood was fried into dryness, and insultingly expensive. All this despite friendly service.
Fresh oysters. Great friendly people. Stop and enjoy.
Friendly staff and quick service
We Just Loved It - we found this restaurant in our travels today and, wow, it was delicious. The fried haddock was exceptional. It was a really nice piece of fish that was just lightly breaded. The raw oysters were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The beer was an Island Red of the PEI Brewing Co. and it was served in a beautifully shaped Carr’s Oyster House frosted glass. The view over the harbor truly added to the quality of the meal. Last, but far from least, our waitress was very friendly and helpful in our selection of goods and, most of all, she got my wife to try her first raw oyster. We’ll definitely eat here again.
Our group of 10 ordered 3 plates of garlic mussels, but we instead got some plain under-cooked mussels. Staff did not do much to resolve the situation
The beer was really good.
(Translated) Excellent food, friendly service. However, rather expensive for quantity. I recommend the "lobster roll". (Original) Nourriture excellente, service accueillant. Cependant, plutôt dispendieux pour la quantité. Je recommande le « lobster roll ».
excellent food and service
Fantastic food. Oysters, fish tacos and lobster rolls are delicious. Friendly staff is not doing this place justice. Patient, hard working, educational and understanding. They make you feel like family. Amazing location, gazing upon the water, red soil, Stanley Bridge, kids/adults jumping of the bridge into waters, you can be sitting in the shade under a large canopy or in the sun on one of best (if not the best) patio on PEI Island. Option to sit inside weather permitted. Highly recommended to choose patio option. Lots of parking options. Can get busy depending on if you arrive late. Kid friendly. Amazing wine list and selections.
Excellent oysters, quahogs, and mussels in wine/garlic. Great views too.
I couldn't be more pleased with the food and the service from this authentic oyster bar and seafood restaurant. I had the biggest, chewiest and tastiest oyster in my life! And the lobster was simply delicious with that exquisite potato salad. Highly recommended!
Love this place. Great views, great patio and great oysters. 10/10
Amazing oysters and other fare. Highly recommend.
Great big patio, live entertainment, cold beer.3 for 3
Great food, great view, great prices.
Great oysters, ok food. Expensive for a dinner.
Lovely restaurant! Mussels, oysters and clams were so fresh and honestly, one of the best caesar salads I have ever had.
Good place for sea food. The only issue we had was to try to get a table outside. Most of half of them were reserved very early.
Great service and delicous oysters the veiw of the ocean from the patio is unbeatable.
Best stop to eat
We were grateful to find this place because a lot of restaurants were closed as it's the end of the tourist season. The waitresses were great, friendly and helpful. The raw oysters and clams were amazing. The oyster po boy was okay, but I think the flavour of the oysters got lost. There was a man in shorts going around greeting tables and asking them about how they liked the food, but he very noticeably skipped our table. I can't say for sure why, but we were the only visible minority in there, and also the only ones with small children. Perhaps it's because he wasn't our server, but was he really the server for every table except ours? (This review has been softened in response to the owners).
Amazing oysters
Staff were awesome and food looked great although we did not eat.
Amazing food and friendly staff...i loved it
Good oysters, our waiter allowed us to substitute for cole slaw even though that wasn't part of the menu
Quality seafood dishes, all very fresh. The haddock was done perfectly and they make their own sauces.
Had a couple of things the kids enjoyed but overall left disappointed.
Fantastic service, loved our waitress ???? food is delicious , you have to try their fish tacos ???? They make a mean ceaser too.
Beautiful spot and delicious food!
Good... but expensive :-(
Loved it!
My girlfriend used to work at this place, so of course we had to swing by to see Phyllis and the gang when we went back this past summer. Attached giftshop is a huge plus, and it's a lot of fun eating fresh oysters and lobster bake while watching kids jump off the bridge into the water!
World's best oysters, right here in this small corner of earth. They also make their own spicy sauce that's as hot as the shucker guy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
(Translated) Beautiful view and adorable service (Original) Belle vue et service adorable
The best deck and view of the area. I really enjoy the lobster tacos. The downside is that it was a bit pricey for the amount of food served and the most expensive oyster I've ever had. I would like places like this one to offer more variety of sea food, more healthy, no fry and without mayo.
Delicious food but expensive
Great food. Service was very nice but I received the wrong dish at first. A little pricey but the view is worth it.
Great view from deck. Awsome oysters! A lovely evening out.
Maybe because we were with a local, we had a great time here, complete with attentive service and very, very good food. The oyster platter was as fresh as I've ever had, and the bucket of PEI mussels deserves the adjective "succulent." There's a peculiar little museum/aquarium attached to this place, which we got to see for free because we were there during the off-season. Well worth a stop -- and for the quality of what we were served, we felt prices were fair.
Not very good didn't like the food and my husband hated the seafood
Very expensive for small portions. Was recommended but we won't be back. Spent less money on 3x more fresh seafood from a local market than we did for our dinner here. Friendly staff, nice location and the small portions tasted good.
Loved it so much, came back the very next day for more. Obviously, oysters are the main draw but lots of seafood goodness on the menu. Great service. Will definitely repeat any time we're in the area.
Really nice stop/restaurant on the water at Stanley Bridge! Fresh seafood, steak, cold beer! Really enjoyed it!
The 7-day Tour East Bus trip that I’m traveling on stopped here; we have 50 tourists in our group. The $222.50 attractions package includes access to the Whale Watching Boat Tour, Thousand Island Boat Tour, Hopewell Rocks, Maritime Museum, etc., of which this attraction is one of the experiences. The Stanley Bridge Marine Aquarium in Breadalbane, PEI showcases many preserved/taxidermy birds, mammals, and marine creatures. You can literally blast through the exhibits in less than 15 minutes or stretch it out longer depending on your level of interest. The exhibits are off to the left side of the building once you enter the front entrance, but only after immediately encountering the gift shop. Admission is $7.40 plus taxes per person. Three pools with live eels, oysters, lobster, halibut, etc. are for viewing and handling if your brave enough to touch! Carr’s Oyster Bar is next door and you can enjoy a beverage on the patio.
Amazing oysters and food. The coconut shrimp tacos were scrumptious. They had many beverages on tap to round out the meal. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the great time!

(Translated) Perfect! (Original) Perfekt!
Great location in Stanley Bridge. Food was very good as was the service.
Great menu and food coupled with great service. I will return.
Outstanding view on their patio, food was excellent. I can't wait to go back.
Great menu, great oysters, great view!
Great view. Food was okay.
Picked up ousters and clams. Great selection.
Great steamed shellfish!
The absolute best food and people. You have to go here when you visit PEI
Went for an East Coast Art Party. Staff was amazing
Favourite place to get Oysters on the Island. Kids love jumping off the bridge nearby while we enjoy the patio
Great prices and delicious food
Great spot to get fresh oysters.
Great location and food. Loved the sweet potatoe fries and coconut shrimp.
Great food!
I would give it a 3.5 if possible because although the food is very good and fresh, the prices are high and the portions aren't enough for a full meal.
Great service and fab seafood, fresh off the dock! Cute gift shop attached too.
Pleasant lunch on the terrace
Great food and the view is amazing!
Good spot to drive out to for a nice lunch on the patio
Best seafood chowder!!!
I didnt like this place it was overpriced and the seafood was tiny. NOT WORTH IT the caesar salad is overpriced and not that good. I wouldn't recommend this place????
great food, service was exceptional
Great view. Great food
Amazing oysters and great kids menu. Call ahead for a patio seat
Great oysters! Fresh.
Great views off deck. Good food.
(Translated) A 5 is not enough. Really very good. You have to eat at this place. (Original) Un 5 n'est pas assez. Vraiment très bien. Il faut manger à cette endroit.
Tried my first Oysters here, they were so delicious I kept ordering more. The staff was friendly and our food came fast. Would recommend to anyone and I will come back to Carr's when I come back to this great province.
Excellent oysters. Incredible view from the patio.
Beautiful location, great chicken strips
I’ve been here twice out of convenience on two separate days. Food is average but the service is outrageously poor. The minute you enter, it’s like you’re completely invisible. Nobody says “hi, someone will be right with you / have you been helped?”. You wait to get acknowledged, you then get routed to another person for a takeout order, you wait, you order, then you wait for another person to ring up the bill. I love the whole PEI vibe but this level of service is way out of character. Minor nit but the fish tacos tasted different on both occasions (spicy vs not at all spicy, and the balsamic vinaigrette was “Kraft” like one time vs house made another)
Not the best value for money restaurant but the quality of the food was very good especially the fresh oysters. Friendly server and staff.
Although the interior seems quite nice it's their patio that makes it an especially pleasant and picturesque place to eat on a nice day. But the food and the service also contribute to a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The lobster and shrimp tacos that my husband had and the coconut shrimp tacos that I had were delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We'll be back!
Unbelievably delicious- best seafood restaurant
Expensive for what you get. Tourist trap, like almost everywhere in PEI. Too expensive for what you deserve. To close to raw products and too expensive. Desappointement. Service Good. Don't go next door to visit the aquarium, it's rip off!
Food was ok, but service was slow and spaced-out. Had to ask the server twice to bring us cutlery.
We waited about 2 hours for our food, Nachos looked like they’d been microwaved not cooked properly, more cheese then there was nacho chip, and barley was any nacho chip. Ordered a Greek salad, they came back with a garden salade. I do not recommend
Delicious food and great service. Had local raw oysters, and the Bubbly Bake. Rum raisin dessert is otherworldly. Good beer selection. There's also a shop attached chock-full of nicknacs from touristy to crafty and everything in between. This place was so good, we ate there twice during our visit.
Great service and great seafood. Overlooking the river. The large oysters were fabulous.
(Translated) Very expensive / very expensive: $ 100 for 12 oysters, a dish of mussels, 1 beer, 1 coke and a small Greek salad. And the direct payment tip option starts at 18% while everywhere it is 15%. Everything was good ????
Beautiful venue and awesome service. Food was mediocre they must have a new chef because this place always had great food
Great view, food and service.
Great food, very nice people, amazing view!
Was in a hurry and they made sure we got our food fast even though they were super busy. Food was great!
Great seafood for good price with beautiful waterview!
The service was good..view fabulous..food was not as good as the last time we were there..
To start this place should not be called an aquarium. There are only three 55 gallon fish tanks with one codd fish and one with minnows. Then you get to see a large collection of mounted birds that's kinda cool to look at if that's what you're there for . Then outside at the "touch tanks" or 3 tiny kid pool things 1 lobster 10 starfish and a few flounder . All said and done you will feel like you've just been robbed of 8 dollars . Save your money go to petsmart in Charlottetown for a way better experience. Shame on the owners of this establishment for trapping you in
Great seafood, view and friendly service
An amazing place that even I as an Islander overlook. The patio outside has an amazing view of Stanley River, with PEIs signature red rock cliffs, white Sand Dunes, a colourful wharf and the bridge. Our server was super efficient. The service was fast. They have daily cocktails that are fun- tasty- PEI/Stanley Bridge tailored. They have many local beers on tap including Moth Lane from Tyne Valley which I loved. We just ordered some oysters, and quahogs and nachos and beers post kayaking the Stanley river. Where the oysters and quahogs were perfectly shucked and served properly in a timely manner and our nachos were the perfect size with lots of toppings and also served pretty quickly. She gave us our bill and we paid as soon as we finished the nachos - which may have seemed rush but she assured us that we could stay as long as we wanted. So we just finished our beers and chatted and watched the amazing view. Great experience overall!
Wow!!! What great staff, and wonderful food.
Awesome food! Wonderful staff and great location. ????????
Amazing everything
Oysters were amassing and the homemade seafood sauce was to die for
Friendly staff and a great selection of local seafood
The view, the service and the mussels were great. The lobster stuffed mushrooms were full of water had more cheese than needed with very little lobster. The seafood bubble bake was mostly whitefish with a spattering of lobster, shrimp and scallops suffocated by cheese and floating in water. The Philly cheese steak was on a slice of toast with a very thin slice of steak smothered in onions, green pepper and cheese. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great location and the freshest oysters.
Good food.
This place was so not worth the money. Ridiculously priced at almost $40 for a family of four to see a few fish in a tank, some stuffed birds, mounted butterflies and a small stuffed wildlife display. The "touch tank" was literally starfish and a couple of hermit crabs in a small round pool and a second with a flat fish and about 5 of some other type of fish. Seriously spend your money on something else. This took less than an hour, including the time spent in the gift shop. Even my 5 year old said it was "boring" and "not much fun". We will not be returning.
Nice location. Decent food. Good prices. Service could be a bit quicker. Loved the oysters.
Service and food is awesome
Nice food. Awesome staff. Great view!
(Translated) A very good seafood restaurant. Every time I go to Pei, I keep the standard. I ca n’t eat raw oysters. I recommend their steamed mouth, which is very delicious. (Original) 非常好的一家海鲜餐馆,每次去Pei都保持一贯的水准,不能吃生蚝的建议点他们的蒸青口,非常美味
Friendly service, promptly served and seated. Had the malpeques and they were amazing!!! Asked the waitress for reco on what food would be good to go and she offered the chicken strips, battered cauliflower and lobster roll. Was not disappointed. Food took less than 15 min too! Lucky to have visited when it wasn't too busy.
Had no oysters
Best oysters ever
Excellent service, food and ambiance. Prices are reasonable . Relaxing atmosphere
Delicious fresh seafood and vegetables! Great service! Wonderful!
Great location, friendly staff
Great food....
(Translated) Bad service and expensive meals for those who have on our plates. (Original) Mauvais service et repas coute chère pour se qui a dans nos assiette.
Fantastic food and service from all staff !!
Loved it! Great food, great waitress! Very friendly
Nice place to eat. Great menu with a nice patio. I would recommend this place to friends. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
We really enjoyed sitting on the patio, dining on lobster rolls and watching the activity in and out of the Stanley Bridge wharf, plus the swimmers diving off Stanley Bridge. Friendly staff, good food, good service.
Best restaurant in PEI. The food is delicious and the people are extremely nice. A definite come back.
Absolutely delicious you have to stop by stunning views and a great staff. Oyster Rockefeller was so tasty and fresh, the crab cakes melt in your mouth. Loved it
Went here the day after Dorian passed. They were running the kitchen on a generator and able to serve hot food (which was great, especially the delicious seafood-packed chowder). Owner was there working the kitchen and checking on tables regularly and was very friendly, as were the staff. Thanks so much for the great service and food, you're awesome!
Great food, service was excellent!
A place too really enjoy great food wonderful atmosphere and friends an family ????????
Really good, laid back place. Great oysters, great mussels, good service. We'd go back again.
Pretty pricey, food is alright.
Very slow service Big tip we didn't know about
Great food!
Awesome food and service
Meh. Only 3 fish tanks. The stuffed birds exhibit was interesting but not why we went. The outside aquarium had some starfish and flounder but they were basically 2 kiddie pools with stuff in it. Not worth the $7+ dollar entry fee we each paid. Left really disappointed.
Oysters were great however, they had run out of small choice and they kind of invented a new grade called "medium ". I have been to Carr's quite a few times over the past number of years and enjoyed it. This time not so much. Fish in the fish and chips was dry. Maybe they are too busy.
Best Mussels Ever. Oysters to die for. Ambience, views. The server was incredible with our party and the kids in it. It makes me want to move to PEI!
It was incredible. Especially the coconut cream pie!
Excellent, having growing up on Lake Erie and being spoiled eating breaded lake perch, the breaded haddock was equally good, just needed 1fillet to fill up
Had a great supper. The food was awesome
Was an excellent location. Food average.
We stopped by to get a quick dinner. At first the service looks like too slow compared to what we were looking for but once the dishes came in, we realized that even if in a hurry, the wait was worth it. Best fish and ship I ever had, friendly service as well.
Definitely my favorite place to eat when I come to visit PEI. Delicious food and great service!!
if you are looking for good seafood, keep looking
The perfect PEI seafood experience! Delicious food, great service and a beautiful view. An absolute must for tourists and locals alike.
Good service, nice patio and... AWESOME raw oysters! ❤❤❤
(Translated) Very well (Original) Très bien
I ate here while visiting family this summer and I have absolutely no complaints. I tried a huge selection off the menu as I wanted to try fresh seafood while out East and I loved every bit of it! The service was great and the environment was friendly. I'll be sure to come back every year.
Went to what they call an "aquarium" more like just a gift shop! In June 2017 with adults and 2 toddlers. They had 3 fish tanks, a few stuffed wild life and stuffed birds! The touch tanks had flat fish in one and a few eels in another but that's it! Would not recommend this place to anyone! We will not be back. $8 for adults and children under 4 are free but it was a waste of money. They charge the same amount as previous years but took over half the fish tanks away!
Amazing food Beautiful terrace view Can't ask for more on a summers day. Nice gift shop
Amazing service, and great vibe in the restaurant. Exactly what you're looking for if you want an authentic PEI seafood dinning experience. Oysters can't be beat!
After eating at this restaurant, I was not only appalled by the service but also the food served. Our waitress was extremely careless, not only did she mix up the bill (paying extra for a plate we didn't order) but also never mentioned that substituting fries for garden salad was an extra $5. It was a complete joke. The scallops and fish I ordered were dry and tasteless, thus being deeply disappointed. In my opinion , New Glasgow Lobster Dinner is 100% times better and worth the price.
I had the fish tacos and I was not disappointed. Tender panco crusted filets of fish. Delicious. The atmosphere is always inviting, warm and friendly. Our waitress was very positive and made our visit memorable
Great food and service, nice waterfront location
We have dined at numerous local eateries in the maritimes, and in particular PEI, during our annual 5 week long east coast RV adventure and this place was by far the greatest disappointment. The seafood platters and servings were significantly smaller than others on the island and their pricing is definitely inflated based on what you get for it. The prosciutto wrapped scallops were the size of nickels, the oysters Rockefeller were tiny and therefore nicely disguised with the melted cheese and the tea cup size of clam chowder for $10 only had two pieces of clam in it and mostly potato. The $9 kids size (side plate size) plain pasta with butter was another example of their overpriced menu.
Great chicken wings but the deep fried seafood platter sucks, oysters are good, but expensive, seafood chowder was decent but needs to come with bread ????
Chowder was amazing, Oysters were amazing. Beer was amazing. The band was amazing. The view was amazing. The staff were amazing. Thanks so much for a great lunch!
The oysters were amazing! Fresh and large. While dining we saw two bald eagles, and herons and kingfishers working the port. Locals were jumping off the bridge - everything on the tourist's checklist.
Great service, good food. So much fun, and nice views
Perfect location awesome staff
Good overall, longish wait from starter to main entree. Nothing spectacular but would go again.
Great service
This place has the worst service on PEI. It was as if we were inconveniencing our server while she waited on her other tables. It's way over priced for place that your water comes in plastic glasses. I can appreciate the positive comments on the oysters but anyplace can serve a good oyster when raw, all you have to do is open them.
Verry good food & services
(Translated) We visit PEI every year, since 2010. And a few days before we head back home we go to Carr's for their famous lobster, oysters, chowder and ambiance. But this time we did'nt get anything of that. First the server not very amicable, the lobster was barely warm and rubbery, the fries were dry. The whole thing was pretty expensive. Don't know what happened there but the quality took a big drop. A few days before, we went to Blue Muscle Café and it was so perfect ... Next year, we will go and have our lobster there. I don't think we'll go back to Carr's..too bad! We've been coming to Prince Edward Island every year since 2010. And a few days before we get home, we always go to Carr's for their famous lobster, oysters, chowder and the ambiance. But this time we got none of that. First of all the waitress was not really friendly, the lobster was barely hot, the flesh rubbery, the fries were dry. Everything was quite expensive. I don't know what happened there but the quality has dropped dramatically. A few days before we had been to the Blue Muscle Cafe and it was absolutely perfect ... Next year we will be going there to eat our lobster. I don't think we'll be going back to Carr's .. and that's a shame! (Original) We visit PEI every year, since 2010.
Tried my first oyster here they were really fresh beautiful view and nice outdoor Sundeck to eat on nice days
We were all disappointed....4 of us.....dinner was over priced & was nothing Special
First time there. Stopped for something to fill that gap between meals on the Island. Ordered the Seafood Chowder. It was delicious (and I've had many across the Island). Service was quick and the staff friendly.
(Translated) We passed by to eat oysters, they were very good and there is a nice terrace with a view of the marina. (Original) Nous sommes passés par là pour manger des huîtres, elles étaient très bonnes et il y a une belle terrasses avec vue sur la marina.
Great everything and awesome service with Sarah. A must see/DO experience on the island! Cheers
We ate on the deck and particularly loved the view and setting. We also enjoyed our meals. Food was tasty, portions were modest but reasonable and price was what you'd expect in tourist areas.
Had a great time for a late lunch. Place was busy but we sat at the bar and stuck around till mostly everyone left. Talked a lot with the staff and learned a lot about life here on the Island. Very friendly. Mussels were great.
Food was great. Server was fun. Beautiful to sit out on the deck on such a beautiful day

After hearing good things we tried Carr's and was a little disappointed. The food was O.K. but not the high quality we were expecting. I am hoping it was an off day for them and will give ghem another try.

Awesome place to eat some seafood and especially oysters, quahogs, mussels. The other meals like lobster and shrimp tacos are divine too.
Beer was cold and oysters are to die for.
Great place to eat
Love this place, fried whole belly clams and of course the oysters.
Honest, fresh, light food. (Lobster roll, oysters, seafood chowder). Good meaty sized portions of seafood in your dish. Friendly staff. In all of my travels of the Martimes on my vaca, this was the 2nd best restaurant. Kudos.
(Translated) Excellent food for those who love seafood, but very $$$$ (Original) Nourriture excellente pour ceux qui aime les produits de la mer , mais très $$$$
we eat there Sept 2018 while on PEI, location was ok, and food was good but not amazing. I had the Seafood sampler which was Ok but a lot of the items were overcooked, and salty. My wife had the Lobster which was very average but good, Pricing was in line.
Great seafood especially oysters
Great quiet place to enjoy dinner at sunset. Food slightly on the pricier side, but it tasted great. Sweet potato fries with chipotle mayonnaise are excellent. Great view from outside deck, our family enjoyed this restaurant very much. If we're visiting Prince Edward island again, we'll try to stop by.
Good food. Great atmosphere and fast, friendly service by an unforgettabley funny server named Stacey who made us laugh and feel at home.
Small portion. Slow inattentive service. Oysters looked the best but unfortunately didn't have any
Oysters were fantastic. My 8 year old daughter gained a love for them.
Great place
Oysters seemed to be the only enjoyable dish served at out table of 7. Very over priced. Waitress was disorganized but friendly as we were paying.
Awesome food, great seafood. Service was good and a amazing views.
Sorry
Service was great. We got fish and chips and scallops and it really was not good. It seemed like it was store bought frozen food. The fish was tough and had a weird taste. New Brunswick seafood has this place beat, hands down.
Good food.
Great little restaurant with a fantastic view. Wife absolutely loved her oysters. Highly recommended.
(Translated) Visited this restaurant 6 years ago and was very impressed! The lady boss is very friendly! Cookies are also given when you leave, so you will definitely come back when you have a chance to come to Pei! Today is August 19, 2021, and business is much better than before! I wonder if you have changed your boss? (Original) 6年前来过这餐厅,印象十分深刻!老板娘非常友善!离开时还送曲奇饼,所以有机会来Pei必定再光临!2021年8月19日的今天来了,生意比之前好了很多!不知道有没有换了老板?
Great fish restaurant- try fish burger and lobster plate
good food. we ate outside on the deck and it was beautiful.
Very good local oysters and excellent taps. Lobster roll was amongst the best I've ever had. Crab cakes not crispy enough for my liking and I would pass on the fish and chips (good chips, not so good batter for the fish). Great location and service and don't miss out on the home made pies. Overall would gladly go back.
This place was highly recommended to us. Fresh oysters, beers and service were great. Very nice view on the deck as well. However, we were disappointed with the rest of the items we ordered on the menu. The baked seafood had liquid at the bottom of the dish and contained too much cheese. Same comment for the seafood stuffed mushrooms: could barely taste anything else other than cheese. Although very generous, the caesar salad had to much dressing, and the chicken was a bit rubbery. Prices were way too high in comparison to the quality of the food we received (other than the oysters and beers).
Awesome! Great! Fantastic!
Great fish and staff! A must for sea food lovers.
Awesome place to eat friendly staff great food lots of choice always good and one of the finest views anywhere ( right on the water ) really make you feel at home . Love the place and the staff .Phyllis the owner always treats her customers and friends first class .
We go every year for 30 some years <3 I started going as a baby and now we take my kids every year.
Largest collection of birds you will ever see, great aquatic section too!
To begin we checked the reviews before deciding to go here. I am hopeful this review will highlight why I would not recommend going here. 1. Fish and chip - the fish was rubbery, over cooked and not fresh. 2. Rockefeller oyster - this should be a specialty as it is an oyster bar but was very bland. 3. Kids meals - they put no effort in the kids meals. I guess they feel kids will eat whatever they are serve and if they don't it's because kids are being picky. We do not recommend this place for kids. 4. Fish tacos - were actually good 5. Breaded clams, shrimp and scallops were all just average and did not appear fresh. 6. Other - the meals did not come out all at once. The first meal was finished before the rest of the table started to come out. To sum up, overpriced, average food small portions. There are so many much better places for seafood. Skip this place a drive a bit more.
Favorite place to eat when we are on the island. Great food, good service and the views are fantastic.

Gois food reasonable
The first time I visited is 2001. I'm back now 25th May 2017. I missed the oyster.

Delicious food, friendly servers, much better than the farmer & the Fisher.
Fantastic food...reasonable prices...great views!
