The halibut was very tasty and crisp. The fries are terrific! I was not impressed with the clam chowder but I would be willing to give the Saturday seafood chowder a try so I’m going back tomorrow! My daughters plate was amazing. The delicious chunk of fish is so impressively thick!! Update*. We went the next day and wow I’m glad we did ???? the Saturday seafood chowder was amazing and the one piece halibut was lightly battered, & not greasy. The place was clean and not terribly busy. I can’t wait to come back!

Really good fish and chips

Some of the best fish and chips available in Campbell River. The fish is always freshly caught and fried. They also have really good chicken strips. I can’t say enough great things about this place, check it out for yourself!

A seasonal destination (from May to October) on Tyee Spit at the Campbell River estuary. Cash Only. Excellent fish and chips or try the delicious grilled fish with salad. The Caesar salad is great and you've got to try the green salad with house dressing - a garlicky creamy rasperry vinaigrette that I have not yet been able to replicate at home, so I keep going back to Jiggers. Afterward I go for a nice walk on the paved trail to the head of the spit. Occasionally I indulge in a piece of homemade pie - to die for pie! You haven't DONE Campbell River unless you have been to Jiggers.

Excellent food and service. When we went there there was only one server and she was handling things amazingly. Great attitude and friendly. You could tell she was exhausted and needed some assistance. Thankfully another support staff was scheduled to come on shortly after we arrived. Fish and chips were really fresh and tasty. We all enjoyed our food here.

Great food!! Best fish and chips ever and the portions are huuuugggggeee! And try the teriyaki Cesar salad! Yummy! Prices are as expected. Right on the ocean, deck seating option and indoor option. Just go there. Quaint but worth it. Edited Aug. 15. 2018 teriyaki chicken burger is a winner!! And I pushed my stomach to the limit and added homemade lemon meringue pie!!! Delish!!!

I can't believe it took me so long to finally try the legendary Jigger's fish and chips. Easily the best battered fish I've ever had, and my mother agrees (that's a big deal coming from a stout Brit!). I went for lunch with my mom yesterday. We both had the 2-piece halibut. Mom had hers with chips and I subbed my chips for caesar salad. Mom couldn't finish her chips and I couldn't finish my second piece of fish, so I got to have the experience again the following day hehe. I popped them in my air fryer for a few minutes to crisp them up again. Just so good. The batter is traditional, not panko. It's so light and crispy, and the fish is just outstanding. Jigger's is only open from about late spring to early fall, so if you're in the area and the time is right, definitely get in and give them your support! I wasn't a huge fan of the caesar salad. The dressing is obviously made on site, which is awesome. It is *VERY* garlicky, which I didn't mind, but fair warning to others. The main problem was the amount of dressing used. I felt it was far too much. The lettuce was heavy with it and while eating it I just felt like I had a mouthful of garlicky mayo. I don't know if it's always presented this way or if it was just the person working, but I definitely felt the salad was far too heavy on the dressing front. (I did not tell the server, that's my bad, I should have brought it up), but I still ate it and enjoyed it overall. Oh, it also comes topped with red onions which is a bit uncharacteristic of caesar salad, so if you're allergic or just not a fan of onions (me, lol), this is just a heads up to request no onions. The menu said nothing about onions if I recall correctly, so one wouldn't think to request omitting an ingredient if it isn't listed. They were easy to pick off, so it wasn't a big deal. Sorry about the picture, we'd already started eating by the time I thought to take one????

Halibut portions were large & very fresh in a fairly light batter. Prices are reasonable & staff very friendly.

Delicious food great service but sucks that they are closing next week wish they stayed open ????

Brenda

Wonderful meal! We chose this place because we could walk from the RV resort and we were not sorry! 3 of our party had cod and chips, one had halibut and chips. Fries were crispy but not overdone, halibut had to be freshly caught, coleslaw was so tasty! Nothing dripping in grease, was not one of those meals that you leave feeling like you’ve had your weekly quota of grease. Service was very good, they were busy but our meals were served so promptly. Wish this restaurant wasn’t 2 hours from home, or we’d be eating here weekly. Saw pie go by but we were all too full, it looked homemade and like it would be very tasty. Don’t miss this place!!
