2 pcs of whitefish and fries for $8.29 is the ultimate budget lunch, even a large coleslaw wont take you over $10 after tax. 4 types of fish, all reasonably priced, great batter, fries and coleslaw. Call ahead to save yourself a 10 min wait. My #1 source for fish and chips.

Friendly service...clean...the batter is ligjt and crispy....I would have rated this a 4 had the prices listed on the menu board been those that were charged for eating in. Instead the prices listed were for take out. The cost of the pop i had was actually 40 cents more than posted.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, and each order I have made has been ready incredibly promptly. Really good fish and chips! Really good price! A group of us went here for lunch. They had a 2 piece whitefish and chips lunch special for $6.99. It was very good and quite filling. Tartar sauce is brought to your table, same with ketchup. Both the fish and fries were really good! The restaurant is small and easy to miss due to it’s location but certainly worth the stop. There were lots of people getting take out orders. The restaurant isn’t the most modern but there’s lots of seating, the restaurant was clean, and the service was quick. We’ll visit again. :)

I have had cod and chips several times in the past and was always satisfied. However, this time I ordered halibut and fries and was extremely disappointed. The fish was VERY small. Don't know if it was because it was halibut, but it was certainly NOT worth the money. I get AT LEAST DOUBLE the size of halibut from other fish and chip restaurants for just a little bit more money. Don't think I will use this place again.

I had the cod and chips, my friend decided on the halibut and chips. My fish portions we a decent size, batter was light and fluffy. Fries were decent but small portioned. My companion's halibut was substantially more costly as it is and tasted good but the portions were much smaller than mine Tartar sauce was in a squeeze bottle with all condiments (ketchup, malted and white vinegar, salt and pepper) on the table. Tables were clean, restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly. Parking is horrid. No accessible parking and a car was parked blocking the ramp. My companion was in a wheelchair, thankfully employees saw us struggling and they came outside to assist, as well as a few leaving patrons. Portions/Value is the only reason for not a higher rating, along with parking

I've been here many times and always get the take out. The prices here and the good food are what bring the folks back. While waiting the majority of the customers that come in here are seniors. That tells you that the prices are good as these folks do not have a lot to spend on supper. Some fish places and I know where they are here in Cambridge can be very expensive. The shrimp here is great and I always get a order or two of that. The location is taking a hit right now with all the construction going on. I asked the owner and he told me it is hurting them by about fifty percent. The fish is good and the customers will continue to come in regardless of the wait due to the construction.

I ordered 2 Seafood Baskets on 10th July 2020, this is the first time ever trying Riverside Fish Hut. I wish I had tried it sooner. This is the best Fish & Chip shop in all of Cambridge. Not greasy, beautiful batter on the fish, shrimps were large, scallops were large and all was very fresh. Great job on your re - opening. I will be a regular customer in the future.

I ordered fish and chips from this place for lunch and when we got home the fish was way over cooked and there was barely any fish in the batter when we called to complain they said we never ordered fish and chips from them and that we have the wrong store we told him that yes it was your location that we ordered from and they kept denying it. they called us back 20 minutes later and said yes you did buy it from us but we can't we will not replace anything for you. Also they don't give receipts so they are probably not paying taxes

We finally had a chance to try this place and we weren't disappointed. We got two lunch specials to go (6.99 each) and it was fabulous. The fish had a very light crispy texture and wasn't greasy at all, and the fries were fresh cut and plentiful. We will frequent this place from now on!

My wife and I had the Halibut fish & chips which is a premium cost at $11.99 but we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The light batter on the fish was perfect. The two pieces of fish are somewhat smaller than those served to other customers who probably had the cheaper whitefish. The Lunch Special at $5.59 would likely be a great deal. It was moderately busy on Thursday night and our waiter said the adjacent 2 year road construction is really reducing their business. They have plenty of parking and still easy to get in and out. Our first time there as we were visiting at the nearby condo. We will definitely return.
