First time having dinner from here tonight and it was absolutely delicious. We got the cod and fries, deep fried pickles, and shrimp. The portions were very large, and the fries were sooooo crispy and amazing. Very happy with our meal and the friendly service of the restaurant!

The fish and shrimp are awsome they do a great job. The only down fall is they use frozen fries they dont do justice to the fish. Fish and chips places are known for their fresh cut fries, but cutting corners and serving frozen fries doesn't help. I would frequent more often if the fries were fresh cut!

If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out! Great customer service, great food, I ordered the haddock special with mushy peas, as well as the fried apples. Definitely going back for more.

We ordered the Halibut and fries. Halibut was very flaky and not greasy and a large portion. Lots of fries with the order. One piece per person was plentiful. I would suggest to order in advance at it was 40 minutes before our order was ready for pick-up. As a suggestion to the owner to save money...Ask the customer if they want cutlery and/or condiments with their order. We took our order home and the bag was fully loaded with condiments and cutlery (which is good if you want them) but we used our own cutlery and condiments from home.

Really impressed with how non-greasy everything was. Fish was a decent size and the batter was good. They also make their own tartar sauce which is a plus for me. The mozzarella sticks were good and everything seems fried to perfection. I actually really wanted Costco fries so I enjoyed their fries which were similar in texture and taste. One thing I would recommend doing once you pick up your order is to open the lids on the boxes so that things stay crispy

We tried Otters Fish & Chips for the 1st time tonight and it was really good! I'm so glad we ordered takeout from here! My wife received great friendly service at the counter from the young lady working. Our fish was perfect and a decent sized portion! Fries are plenty and really good! Onion Rings were not greasy! Fried Apple Slices are yummy! We will definitely order from Otters again, as I'm quite fussy about fish and chips, and this meal truly pleased my palette! Richard

Last night was the first time I tried otters. I tried the pollock and the haddock and it was very tasty. ( Fresh, crispy batter, and flakey fish exactly the way you want it ). I would of left a 5 star review but when I tried to swap my coleslaw ( 99 cents ) ( comes with every meal ) for a extra tartar sauce (.50 cents ) I was told I can not and must buy extra Tarter. I understand it's a small inconvenience but it ticked me off. Hopefully in the future the management reconsiders this silly rule . Because that was the difference between a 5 star and a 4. But overall good experience

I decided to give this place a try after I heard about them adding fresh cut fries. The halibut piece was large, crispy outside and flaky fish on the inside. It was delicious. The fresh cut fries was very good, you can have it plain or seasoned, and I went with the latter and wasn't disappointed. The Cole slaw that came with the meal was fresh and crispy, and the gravy went well with the fries. This place can give Caz's some decent competition. Worth a drive to Townline to eat here.

!Exceptionally fresh food and immaculately clean venue. 8 )Today I had thier cholesterol free oil fried Box of Onion rings for only $3, a bowl of steaming and lightly seasoned warm Homemade Mushy Peas for $2.50, and a box of Fried Banana topped with Chocolate Fudge Drizzle. Just 3 of thier 50 selections of beautiful food all in well under 5minutes. !Happy to have such types of hot food on the go. Totally Epic! iLove them.

I tried the Halibut platter with Shrimp. The fish was fresh, tasty and non greasy. Portion size was also good. Customer service is also top notch! Definitely recommend this place, as I look forward to my next visit.

The fish was good, but the fries are coated with either cornstarch or flour which is frankly an embarrassing and lazy effort to emulate the texture of properly cooked chips which completely sabotages their flavor. The house made tartar sauce is a misguided attempt to break the mold by adding red bell pepper to it. I can only admire culinary creativity when it leads to flavor pairings which actually taste good and while the pepper doesn't clash with the fish it in no way complements it. 1 star is admittedly being harsh however I feel I have to based on principle. Tartar sauce and french fries are so basic that high school student can be easily taught to execute them perfectly with unwavering consistency and any professional cook or chef should be ashamed to present anything less

I have been there twice. Wanted the special. It was 4:06pm and was told I'm too late. Went again last Thursday walked in at 3:57pm. Someone was ordering at the time so when I went to order it was 4:02 and was told again I was too late. Good fish but service sucks. Will go back to Captain George instead.

We ordered the haddock and fries and the haddock nuggets. When we got home they called and said they had given us the wrong order. We offered to pick up the right order but they rushed right out to fix it let us keep the wrong order. Great food and amazing service

We ordered last night and the food was amazing! Fish and chips were hot and not greasy, Fish was huge and lots of fries. Coleslaw was tasty as was the tartar sauce. If you order two pieces of fish you may want to order another side of tarter. We definitely will be back!

Food was great, my wife and I both had the Haddock Platter with the jumbo shrimp. Portions were huge for the price and I had to help my wife finish hers. Both the shrimp and Haddock were well battered and not too greasy, will definitely be coming back next time were in the area. On a side note for the extra $1.50 I would order the fresh cut fries, my wife had them and I went with the regular fries and preferred hers. I'm not sure why they offer both but they should just sell the fresh cut and adjust the menu prices as they are much better. I think the server was trying to hint that I would like them more and I should have listened to her, otherwise probably the best fish and chips I have had in a while.

Love the fish and chips and homemade coleslaw! My wife doesn't normally like coleslaw and she loves yours! My only suggestion would be to have caramel sauce or cinnamon sugar on the deep fried apple slices instead of chocolate sauce as I feel like it would go better. The chocolate sauce on the bananas was awesome but not as good on the apples (although they weren't bad so please don't get me wrong).

Tried for the first time. Very friendly service. Clear and precise ordering, order was correct. Absolutely the nicest piece of Halibut I have ever enjoyed. Large portion. PAY THE PRICE ITS WORTH IT. Batter is thin and light, not greasy. The fries are a coated fry for extra crispness. I would have preferred a fresh cut fry but it was hot and fresh. We will make this our goto fish shop.

Super nice fish and great service. The fish pieces are pretty thick and big but the price is very decent. I’ve tried all the fish they have and Halibut is my favourite and I can tell that everything is super clean and fresh. Very nice restaurant!

Went there last week and ordered one of their 1-3pm specials. The fish was a pretty nice size, however within the 6 minute drive back to my place the steam built up in the box and allowed the batter to come away from the fish which made it messy and harder to eat. On top of that, I hated the fries that came with the fish. I was expecting fresh hand-cut fries, and instead what I got were french fries similar in appearance and taste to those in the Costco food court - which I am not a fan of. For the $18 I paid, I was left really disappointed with half the dish and just really didn’t like the fries at all. Ended up throwing the fries in the bin. The fries here seemed like an afterthought. For the money I paid, I was expecting some really good fish and chips, especially with all the positive reviews, but what I got instead was okay fish and bad fries. I’m giving 2 stars for the large size of the fish, but considering the batter coming off and the horrible fries I can’t give more than that. Hope they fix the fry issue and decide to go with fresh hand-cut fries in the future. Might come back if they do, otherwise it’s just too much money.

Very good fish and chips at a good price! Seafood platter is a great value with a huge piece of delicious halibut and 5 jumbo shrimp with fries and coleslaw for $15! My husband is one of those "can't tell the difference between types of fish" got the 2 pc. Pollock and chips for $7.25 and thought it was great! Excellent customer service as well. We will definitely be repeat customers!

Great tasting fish. Big pieces with a perfect light batter. People are complaining about the not fresh cut fries, but I enjoyed the ones they served and all 4 of my kids devoured them. Oh and the price was great too!

They get it all right! Very nice, clean interior. Friendly wait staff - amazing prices and solid menu. The fish was indeed very fresh and the fries where the perfect thickness and crispiness. The tartar sauce was flavorful and the coleslaw was thick cut and creamy. (My preferred way) I went out for lunch for myself and will for sure be recommending it to friends and family alike. Won't be my last visit by far. Super impressed with essentially everything. Great restaurant! - Visit them in person and give them a nice tip. They deserve it.

We just ordered from here fish was good but the french fries not so much. It was like they had been sitting for awhile cold in some spots. I would rather have better fries than free apple slices which is offered with orders over $10.00. Coleslaw was good as was the tarter sauce. We did order in the middle of the day so was not busy which might explain the fries. We are going to try this place again to see if this was a one of.
