Great place to find what you want, but the worst price to find it at. On items that I have looked at rods, reels, line, lures and nets they have everything at a high price. That said they have stuff that you can't find at the big box stores. Very dedicated staff, though could be a little nicer to people who come in not exactly knowing what they want. It's moved into a nice new location just across the road from the old space. It's not a huge shop, but they have pretty much everything you'll need for a fishing trip. Lots of spin casting gear and tackle, ice fishing gear, tents, sleds and even a pretty good selection of fly fishing equipment and materials. They have good prices and there's usually a decent stock of items to choose from.

The Fishing hole is one of those stores that really stands behind their products and provides superior customer service. I know we should all be supporting local, especially during the pandemic, but I've had many bad experience with small local companies that has programmed me to think twice about spending my hard earned money at those stores. The exceptions are the Fishing Hole and Princess Auto - both of which proves they are serious about making a difference to the community, provides superior customer service, and not just around to make a quick dime. Super knowledgeable staff who are nice and friendly. Didn't even rush me today even when I was still taking my time shopping 5 minutes post closing time. I didn't realize they close early on Sundays.

Went in to get a $9 spool of fishing line and came out with over $100 worth of items - wonderful, amazing fishing stuff. Great staff, every one in the store was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. One of the services offered is to fill your reel with fishing line - various brands and weights - totally amazing!

Every guy and girl who works in this store knows fishing. They will offer to help but, they won't badger you. Their new location has a bit more room and it's very clean and organized. Ask for help and you will get it. I've always loved this shop and their knowledgeable staff. I like it even better now. I would highly recommend it to all fishermen. This store is great. In BC we have little choice of online fishing stores. They have a very good selection and I have taken advantage of the monthly sales every opportunity I get. The site is easy to navigate and I would say user friendly. The shipping is free after a $100 and they ship quickly. Never had any issues with any orders.

Years ago I bought a Shimano rod with a lifetime warranty, only to have Shimano change the warranty after the fact, to one that let you buy a replacement at near cost. So no more Shimano for me. I was at TFH and the sales guy tells me Fenwick HMG rods have lifetime warranties and it’s a simple in store swap. While setting the hook the rod snapped. I brought it to TFH and the manager comes and lies straight to my face that “Only the more expensive rods have warranty”. Oh and “my rod was broken in a car door he tells me”. The rod snapped clean in 2, literally impossible to be caused by being crushed. I made it half way to my car and checked their own website that states my rod is warranted. I went back and showed this ‘Manager’ and he says something like Ok I’ll do you a favor and replace it. But they don’t have any in stock. They’ll call me when they get some. 3-4 months go by and I call in. Guy on the phone acts like I’m looking for a unicorn and tells me it’ll be months more. A week later I stop by the store and there’s one on the rack. A different manager checks their stock and says they have 2 or 3 more not on display. He took my broken rod and handed me a new one, no problem. None of the staff I used to see at the old location, seem to be at the new location, and that first manager was new to me. I’ve spent thousand upon thousands there. I’m actually editing my raving review I posted years ago, to this sadly. When a manager lies to your face, accusing you of lying and trying to scam someone, that’s about as unprofessional as it gets. Considering Fenwick honors the warranty, he tried to scam me for no logical reason. So sadly I’m not going back. I shop locally when I can, but I’m not into playing games with people or businesses. And to those who chime in to suggest a broken rod is always your fault, and your cheap to have one honored, save it. I treat my gear impeccably well. Rod sock, in rod case, and never laid down. I’m a mechanical engineer, and I understand composite materials. If you sell a fishing rod with a lifetime warranty, and it breaks at anytime in the act of fishing, and isn’t abused, you either honor it, or commit fraud. Plain and simple. I’m

My husband and I have been coming here for years and never had an issue until today. On my way in a was stopped and asked to leave my bag at the front counter as if I am some kind of thief. I have never been more embarrassed. There were a few other people in there with purses but for whatever reason the cashier felt I needed to be singled out. I am a hard working healthcare provider and use my bag for work purposes so it may be a bit bigger than most. Please don’t ask your customers to do this, We are not in high school. We will no longer be shopping here.

Been there once. Bought a pair of waders and 3 days later they were on sale for $50 less. Thought it would be no problem for them to do like every other store in the world would do and do a price adjustment but no. Would have got some other stuff there that day, but elsewhere. Decent store but this really rubbed me the wrong way. Sorta like "We got your money so now you are SOL. 2 stars for customer service. Otherwise probably would be maybe a 4 star. Lots of other places to shop.
