Amazing!!! The costumer service was outstanding. That girl took her time to show me around and help me get some stuff for my cat Shassy Nemesis ( She still doesn't know her name but I love her to death) she asked some questions and she found out that I don't know anything about cats and she helped me make some decisions about Shassy's food and litter box. We went to every isle in the store and she explained everything so well. If you're reading this (sorry I forgot your name). Petland is pricey though but the stuff are great and if you want your pet to have a better (Brand new stuff) you should definitely go there!!

Everyone is super nice, friendly, helpful and approachable. They aren't trying to sell you on things and will literally just bring out animals to play with because they want to make sure the animals are getting enough stimulation and used to handling from different people. Highly recommend heading over there as they can help you find what you are looking for whether it be a litter catcher or a new family member.

Great selection of animals, and an even greater group of staff! Most employees are quite knowledgeable, some more than others on certain animals and products, however everyone seems upbeat and positive every time I go in! I highly recommend checking out their fish and reptile department, here you will find a beautiful arrangement of colourful and healthy fish, and a unique and fascinating selection of reptiles and amphibians. The animals are all well taken care of here, and look to be very happy and healthy!

We love this Pet land! Everyone there is so helpful and their membership is free to sign up for! They have a wide range of dog food and treats, and if the dog food you bought doesn't work for your pup, you can return it within 30 days even if you've used some and they donate it to shelters! They always greet our puppy with love.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a pet store. Decent selection of animals and accessories. Also pretty reasonable prices in comparison to other competitors. Staff are helpful and fairly knowledgeable if you get the right staff member assigned to the section (animal) you're inquiring about. Very nice and clean new store that looks great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, always willing to help. If you do adopt, they will push certain products on you, but that's for basic animal care and is good information for people who may be less informed about what their new pet may need. Lots of available products for all types of animals (aquatic too). Prices are reasonable.

They tried to over charge me on my fish. I had 34 and she flat out said there was 42. Not a big deal but lying is lying. Customer service was zero. They just stand there looking at you instead of helping you. Never again will I go there.

Took my two and a half year old daughter to pick out some new toys for our dog. My daughter was immediately assisted by a staff member who helped her look through the toys. She then took out a number of animals for my daughter to see up close. The manager came by and chatted with my daughter as well. Excellent effort to make the shopping experience pleasant for both of us.

This place is Clean but not the same with their staff, I think they don't like Customers. Went in with a few kids and they were all excited. However, the staff weren't pleased by our presence. We got the vibe from them that were not gonna be paying customers. They saw us as a bunch of asians looking for free entertainment. We still spent our money there despite staff being rude.

This is the only Petland in Calgary that won’t take in fish that are unable to be taken care of. The other Petlands offered to take in the surrendered fish but this location didn’t even hesitate to say no. I would hope that if I am a first time fish buyer and the employee said we can bring back the fish to any location in Calgary if it is not working out, that the company would be understanding and willing to care for what we cannot. Didn’t even ask for a refund, just a simple rehome of fish that we were poorly educated on. I will not be buying anything else from Petland from here on out

Came here to get my rabbits nails trimmed, and the only way they were going to do it, was without me. I gotta say I'm extremely disappointed, out of all people, the people at Petland should know that there is no way a rabbit would be okay having some humans he's never met before work on him without his handler, they should know better that rabbits are pray animals and doing this would likely cause him to be stressed to the point of GI Stasis. I think maybe your staff at Petland need to do a little more research on rabbits and how to handle them.

I created a gmail account just for this review. If it could give it NO STARS I WOULD. I have been a manager for almost 20 years and the management at this Petland is atrocious. I have been coming to this Petland since it opened, it’s usually a lovely store. However, I’m not sure if this is an old manager or someone got promoted or what but the customer service and treatment of employees is astounding. How unprofessional is it to constantly ignore clients and their expertise? I’ve had dogs and cats for my whole life, but apparently all my knowledge is absurd and means nothing when they try to sell you junk that is harmful to pets or you don’t even need. The amount of times I’ve heard this manager yell at employees or seems to have issues with them grinds my gears. The incident that sparked this review happened today. I was t the cash register and before I could even go up to the register I could this woman screaming at an employee. I would assume it was. Not okay. Not acceptable. It is extremely unprofessional and some people may look the other way at that treatment of customer service employees but I sure as hell am not. I will not return to this Petland unless changes are made. Disgusting.

Bought their SOX product to remove pet stains and odors. Very dissatisfied, product doesn't work and is overly priced along with everything else in the store. Staff is inexperienced unhelpful and uninformed about the products they sell
