This has always been my favorite location to eat at. Best thing on the menu has to be their seafood bisque, and a chunk of halibut. I like the friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere too.

2 orders today. Lunch, and dinner. Sounds trivial but both orders, no cutlery nor condiments. Its principal. Are you guys that cheap and have a fork in the sugar bowl? Mistakes happen, but on a lunch order then a few hours later the same. Will not comment on the food. The establishment in the SE is way better. 1 star is a compliment.

So a little good a little bad... what we loved: the fish and chips were amazing, and they gave our kids bottomless fries. The bad: my husband order shrimp linguine, it was like soup! No flavour and the shrimp still had tails on. I had the snow crab, it was dirty crab and the butter tasted like burnt oil. The servers were nice and the prices were decent, great for fish and chips but if you want something more exotic go to Red Lobster.

Arrived on a Monday afternoon. Cozy atmosphere. Im not a huge fish fan so I ordered the 3 app for $16 deal. Was not disappointed. The Chicken was flavorful. The Sweet potato fries were warm and the chipotle aioli really added body to it. Spring rolls were crispy. Tried the fish and chips. Crispy, Flaky crust. Delicious center Overall delicious meal and a great price. 60$ for 4 people before tip. Very fast, Very friendly. Would highly recommend to any fish lover on a budget

I go with my wife to this lovely place quite often! This is the best place to to have a good dinner. I go to this spot at least once a month. The cooking is very good, the staff members are polite and the prices are decent. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a decent supper.

We came in as a big group of 10 for a birthday party on a busy Tuesday all you can eat night. I thought we would have to wait for a long time since we forgot to make a reservation, but the staffs were able to get us seated right away. The food came really fast and it was delicious ! Best fish and chips! We had a birthday cake and they were able to let us keep it in their cooler. The staffs had candles ready and sang happy birthday for my Dad. We had a wonderful time and I will definitely be back!

Great service, great food, great time. The wife and I decided to drop by for dine for dinner, we were the only ones there which was fine with me. Buddy there was welcoming and told us to choose pur seats and be would follow, very courteous guy. He took care of us throughout the whole time there, good time intervals to check up on us. Wife ordered the cod and haddock fish n chip meal and I ordered the 3 piece pollock fish n chip meal (great price for the meal you get). Wife loved the cod the most and I enjoyed everything. Fries were thumbs up. Sadly wasn't able to photo food because we were so excited to eat it. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we'll definitely be back for another dining experience. Something to note as well, there were a few customers who ordered takeout and they weren't there very long for wait time.

I got the halibut dinner and im used to paying 40+ for halibut, however paying that price for a piece of fish that was less then par is atrocious, it was as thinly sliced as possible soaked in grease and over cooked....I've eaten halibut all over the city and this was the worst experience I have encountered. I'll never eat here again and waste that much money on garbage. However the service/ staff were wonderful people, the fish portion(s) is what I have an issue with.

I celebrated my PhD this evening in this great restaurant. Well it was a marvelous evening and the place was evidently one of the reasons for the happy meeting. I have been coming to this Joey's since I was a kid, servers have come and gone and the place was always so-so. However, ever since Tina has started working here approx 2 years ago we have noticed an improvement in service, her attention to detail is impeccable, she is always friendly and our order is never wrong. Great place to bring the family, definitely recommend.

I have been looking for a good fish and chips in Calgary for a few years now. I think I might have found my go to place. This was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed. I had the 3 piece haddock and chips. When I got home and opened the box it was way too much for one person, the pieces of fish were the largest I've seen in Calgary so far. It came with malt vinegar, tartare sauce and coleslaw. This has been the best fish and chips I've had since leaving the UK. I'll have to go again, just to confirm my findings ????

You'll miss this place if you aren't looking for it. It's a comfortable, relatively small restaurant in a strip mall. I love the fish here and really don't go often enough. I would not hesitate to recommend for an informal lunch or dinner. Large portions and well prepared. Order takeout during Covid. Help them keep the doors open.

Staff are rude,a lady and a man who owned it, they don’t even apologize to there poor service, even if you call there customer service line they will not even bother to call you back to apologize. My order was so clear in the phone and they mess it up, They gave me a poor quality of food and they don’t know how to explain it well in a good manner, there showing there bad attitude, this is my first time in this place and this will be my last, I will tell my friends not to come to this store anymore. I gave them back the food I ordered nothing less I don’t even touch it but they never bring back my money. Instead of saying sorry to me they showed there bad attitude. Amazing food and service, break form covid-29 sstill great, shrimp dumplings were dried out before pan fried , so when I stated they were raw like, all that happened was it was thrown in the microwave. I give service 5* however that simple mistake cost the boh!

Halibut and shrimps and chips is one of the expensive order from the menu. I have been in and out of the city eating fish and chips for years and years and this is the best yet. I am glad I came. Good food and good price though. It is worth paying it is worth called seafood restaurant. Service is excellent, quick and care. I know i'll be back with someone.

Tonight we ordered the Super Family pack with 15 pieces of Fish and Chips. I personally think $67 dollars is a lot of money for Pollock. We picked it up at the location about a 10-15 min drive each way. When we got the order home there was no coleslaw or tartar sauce in the bag. It seems like a such a small thing, but it is absolutely frustrating to have to monitor if your order is complete or not. It really diminishes a nice experience having plain fish and no coleslaw. It also makes the value really poor. It shouldn't be an issue for Joey's Only Staff to watch over things and make sure orders are fully complete. Lots of these restaurants are clinging to a thread during the Pandemic and I got to say these details can't be missed. I am just overall tired of the stress having to deal with this.

I used to love Joey’s Only. This restaurant is under new management with a definite Asian flair and extras on the menu not part of the standard Joey’s fare. The fish was not up to Joey’s standards ... somewhat greasy. A big disappointment after all these years of loving this place. I won’t be back.

Went for all you can eat Tuesday, the server was very nice, fish was oily but still edible, ordered the 2 mini burger kids meal and got 1 big bun with 2 patties…..my son didn’t eat it. Ordered the battered shrimp for $7.50 & I received this (picture attached) absolutely ridiculous to charge that much. Will not be coming back.
