We went there yesterday to get a baby leopard gecko. The guy is so chill and nice. My son wanted to handle the baby at the store and he went in the back to find a bin in case the lil babe escaped my son's hands. He answered all our questions and didn't mind we took a bit of his time even though he was about to close the shop for the night. My son is very happy with his new pet and he was over the moon he got to also pet a turtle. Thank you!

I went into the store looking for a baby gargoyle gecko. They didn't have any in stock, but as soon as he heard what I had been asking for, he went to his computer and began to search for one. Within a matter of a week or two, he found one, shipped it in, and phoned. I went home with a healthy, happy baby garg! In short, they had excellent service, and were very kind and helpful.

Really great store. I just bought my first snake from Got Reptiles after having visited some other stores. The guy working was extremely helpful and answered all of ny (probably dumb/common) questions thoroughly and respectfully. I never felt like I was wasting his time by asking some more basic questions about reptiles and their set ups. Will go here for all my snake's, and future reptiles' needs. Walked in to look at boas but the store owner was too busy helping people who came in after us. He was happy to show two women any of the snakes and handle them but he never offered my girlfriend or me any help. We left and received much better service at J & J Reptiles.

ORDER AT YOUR OWN RISK !!! I tried to order a tokay gecko from this company on 3/31. On 4/7 someone from billing called to get my payment information. After many unanswered phone calls I talked to an actual person on 4/27 about my missing order. He said that he would refund the expedited shipping charge and send my order out. We’ll that didn’t happen! On 5/5 I texted with the VP of accounting, and she said she would fix this. She texted back to say that unfortunately they no longer had Tokay lizards. She then informed me that they no longer used the platform that they used to charge my credit card. Could she Zelle the refund or send me a check. I have texted her numerous times and have still to receive a refund from them! Please be wary!

Wildlife on a Budget

I placed an order for native red Painted turtle in October 2021. I have follow up with them by email regarding the shipment. There is no answer. Please do not trust their online order. Prior order anything online , please check the company review before order. Lesson learn.

Purchased two bearded dragons after my 8 year old beards passed away. I’ve had many and always had success but the beardies that I purchased were undersized and not well fed, they refused too eat small crickets so we fed via Syringe and they still weren’t growing they passed away after two months and we were told that “that is completely your fault. We will not be able too help.”

Miss this business being right besides the house but I would have moved to. Its just now being so much further from home walking there is not a realistic option. Still try and support Steve as much as we can he has a huge selection of always changing critters and you never know what other new items steve has brought in as he is all about supporting his fellow local small business and at the sane time giving his customers exceptional service high quality products at amazingly low prices. Got Reptiles is most certainly the only place to go for reptile supplies in the south Calgary. I love Steve's store and all of his animals. He is extremely knowledgeable and will happily share any information needed. The store is fairly new and is expanding very quickly. Anything that is not in stock, they have no problem ordering in. This is my only store for feeders and substrate. Highly recommend this Got Reptiles. Excellent prices and great service.

I visited this shop because an exotic pet shop suggested I get a heat emitter here. I got some great advice about the heat emitter as well as some feeding tips as well. Afterwards I visited the animals and couldn’t believe the gorgeous and vast selection of reptiles. Wow! I recommend checking out the giant snake! I will definitely be coming back.

If I could leave a negative star review I would. This place is a joke. Tried ordering a Tegu from here waiting two weeks and nothing. So I email them about it and they said it was because of bad weather. So I understood that. Another month passes then they say they don’t have the reptile. So I ask for my money back. They said that’s fine we will call you back. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Called again and again don’t answer. Final get an answer three months later and said the same thing. ITS BEEN SIX MONTHS AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY MONEY BACK. $400 dollars down the drain because this place just wants to rip people off.
