Seen the advertisements and heard good word of mouth about this small local pet store, so I stopped in last Wednesday. All I can say is this store owner and his beautiful Olde English bulldog were a refreshing shopping experience from the larger chains. The owner took his time to introduce me to some alternative, all natural treats for my finicky Boston (free taster samples) and offered to carry my large dog food bag to my truck. What a nice touch! I strive to support local products, producers and businesses, particularly small business owners, that provide quality products and five star service. I will be back again soon to become a regular customer at this location. Well done Drew.

I love this place! I buy my Oxbow supplies here and the prices are cheaper than PetSmart and PetLand. I love how they have big enclosures for *most* of their animals. Only complaint is that they're selling a gerbil in a tiny cage and a wheel that's much too small. He's very sweet and friendly but doesn't seem like they always advocate for proper pet care. I hope his new owners throw the cage away and buy one that's more appropriate for him.

Call before you go to make sure they have the dog food you need. This is the closet location to me that sells Canadian Naturals dog food. Except, they don't carry senior turkey and salmon. -_- "Special" order it in. *insert eye roll* I had no problem getting it from other pet stores that sell the brand. I get going to stock what sells but really, I shouldn't have to request. Won't be returning, will gladly take my business elsewhere.

I can't express how good of an experience i had here. I had a question that no other person at any petstore seemed to be able to answer regarding bad breath. They recommended plaque off and I'm already seeing a difference in my dogs breath. Both clerks helped me pick out a tooth brush and paste which was really nice having recommendations on what dogs prefer. I got to scratch off a prize card off the tree with some music and ended up winning some treats. All in all, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Every time I'm in Calgary I'll be coming here. There's lots of options and choices. Go check it out!

So, I went there today close to Christmas... to get my pup,s dog food...huge bag of dog food salmon flavour for $62! Then as I was checking out the owner.. sorry I keep on forgetting his name...but I know Dexter...however he was sleeping when I got there. The owner said...oh get a card from the Christmas tree! I was like a kid in a candy store...its not a price for me when but I got so excited! You don't get that in big box store! So I chose my card and he scratched it...he then said..oh you got bag of treat! Hmm... not a cheapo treat! And he got so much stuffies underneath the christmas tree ????. I'm super happy! We do most of our shopping for our dog here. There is a great selection of dog food/ treats and Drew is always available to help you out. They have great prices and you get 8% back on each purchase. Plus you can meet Dexter (he's adorable). Because they are smaller there isn't a good selection of crates or other large items. Since you don't need those often it's never been a problem.

Dexters is the best ! I ordered a large case of my dog’s favourite raw dog food. When I ordered a second case he would not touch it. The manufacturer must have tweaked some ingredients in the batch we received. I contacted Dexters for help. Drew not only offered to replace it, he also problem solved and recommended a very similar raw meat product , same manufacturer but just the raw meat and no veggies. Voila problem solved. My dog devoured it. That is customer service at its best! Hats off! Paws down Dexters is the best pet store!
