Wish I could give zero stars. Probably the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. I was duped by the ‘Union Jack’ name. Sadly this is an insult to the Flag. There is absolutely nothing British about this place, and the name is clearly meant as a deception. The ‘chips’ were poorly cooked fries (yes, there is a difference), and the fish - surely wasn’t cod - was overcooked and soggy. Rubbish. Don’t, just don’t go there!

Ordered 2pc Halibut, Rings, and fried mushrooms through Skip The Dishes, and the food was prepared quickly and delivered not so quickly, so it wasn't too hot when it got to me. Driver's fault, not theirs, obviously. The Fish was fantastic. I'd obviously have preferred it to be hotter, but it was delicious. The batter didn't kill the taste of the fish and was nice and thin. The pieces of fish were nice and meaty and very well-cooked. I was ready to give a 5-star rating based on the fish. Then I reach for the tartar sauce. Where is it? I ordered extra sauce? Included in the delivery were 6 packets of junk Ventura Foods Tartar sauce. If you call yourself a Fish and Chips place, you NEED to show you actually care about your product by making fresh tartar sauce. If you're a burger joint that just does F&C on the side, no one cares, but I was shocked to have to open packets of terrible sauce that were made who knows when. The rings were okay. Not sure if they had any onion in them, it was so thinly cut. I wouldn't order the mushrooms again. Guys. No one cares if you make the BEST tartar sauce out there, but we care if you can at least show the effort. Do some work, test out some recipes, and demonstrate some pride in being a "Fish and Chips" storefront.

Great fish in a variety of species at a fair price. Their points program does add up to some good value as well if you are a regular customer as you can redeem for appetizers and even full courses. Sometimes the fries can be a little dark (maybe a more frequency oil filter or change) and the gravy a little thick but still the best fish and price in the area.

Ordered the pollock and chips with gravy. They give you a lot for the money. The fish wasn't even that greasy and the batter tasted great.you can tell they use quality ingredients and don't cheap out. It wasn't mostly batter like some of the other places I've been to, the chips were good as well....so was the slaw. I'll go back there for sure.

Fantastic fish and chips. The best part is they have gluten free fish and chips! Their coleslaw is also gluten free! My wife is celiac and really liked the food. They have a separate deep fryer for the gluten free items. Great place to go for take out, they only have 3-4 tables in the restaurant if you can get one. The restaurant is clean and the owner is very friendly.

Pre ordered 3 orders on Good Friday a couple hours before dinner. Arrived at my pick up time and the food was hot and ready to go. Generous portions of fries and fish. Pretty good taste, fries a little overdone for my taste but good nonetheless. We will definitely go back.

As weekly patrons disappointed with today’s order but even more disappointed with the reaction of the owner to a call to question the order. 2 piece order of halibut and chips, when we got it home was less than 1/2 the size as normal. Really equated to a 1 piece or less though ordered and paid for a 2 piece. Called to question this (perhaps got the wrong order) and requested a call back from a manager. Received a call back, but not from owner, the poor server was told to call back and let us know we received what we ordered and that’s that. Disappointing the manager/owner couldn’t take the time to reach out to listen and provide input. Not very good customer service. Unfortunate as they just lost a patron. No matter how tasty food might be, bad customer service is a game breaker and will never go back. A week ago 5 stars, now 0 and a lost customer.

This was a highly disappointing restaurant. I ordered through skip the dishes which was quick and courteous service but what I received was terrible. I ordered halibut and that is not what was delivered. I don’t even know what kind of fish but it was shaped as the actual fish and had dark brown spots and was very fishy tasting. The fries were not fresh and appeared to be done in dirty oil. The gravy had a ton of lumps. $50 spent on a dinner that wasn’t edible and head office didn’t respond to my email.

We order for the first time and it will be the last spent over $70.00 , it was gross fish was very old french fries were discussing old everything was refried. If you guys need help and want people to order local then I suggest you should be cooking fresh food , I will not recommend this place I don't know how people gave a 5 star they must be friends and families our food was ready less than 10 minutes and we ordered a family package . We thought to try a new place but never again I make better fish and chips. ????????????????????

Came here Saturday March 20th for the first time, and i will never buy fish anywhere else! By far the best place to buy fish. Clean oil, light batter, good quality fish and properly cooked. Plus the sweet potato fries were great as well. The pricing is really fair also. I will be back soon.

Absolutely one of the worst places I’ve ever had fish and chips. I wish they would remove the Union Jack from out front because serving food like that, they don’t have the right to fly it. Halibut and chips, minuscule portion of fish and definitely not your money’s worth. Coming from England, perhaps I expect more than they have to offer. In Burlington, you are far better off ordering from the queens head pub five minutes away. Bitterly disappointed. I’m not the only one.

Love this place. Haddock and Chips is my favorite. They always have enough of the tartar sauce as well. I always get the special on Friday for two people and it is a great deal. The fish is very large and has lots of meat on it. Much better than other places where you have to eat an inch of batter before you get a small piece of fish.

Just ordered in using skip. Both my wife and I ordered halibut and chips. The fish was so dry that it was hard to cut with a KNIFE. Enough said. There are so many better options
