Underwhelming. Never been to a Montana's so crummy. Steak was overdone, loaded baked potato had about 5 pieces of graded cheese and 1 piece of green onion and half tsp of bacon bits. The Pepsi was watery, the beef brisket had barely any meat, was overcooked and no sauce. We left hungry. Our family always enjoys Montana's but this was terrible. Not recommended. Also, they don't have tap! Get with the program guys!

My newly wed wife and I ordered the big beef rib and were very happy with it: marinated and seasoned well, good quality meat, cooked just right, and a good sized portion. The fellow who took our take out order was warm and polite. In the midst of the time of heavy restrictions, it was a good experience over all. God bless!

Ordered online and it said 301pm pick up time I got there with my two year old hoping to get our food and had to sit in the bar with my kid for 45 more mins before my food was ready! And it was gross and over cooked... I paid 66 dollers for dried up ribs with no sauce... Horrible service don’t order online and wonder who cooks ribs so dry they use to be good here!

My Steak came out medium when asked for rare. Waited for them to come see me then waited 10min for a new one to come out. By the time they brought it out I had already finished the sides as I was hungry. They brought a new steak out on a side plate instead of replacing the entire meal like most places would . My friend was pretty much finished his meal by the time I got the replacement steak. kinda of ruined the dinner experience. . The manager Could of offered a discount on the meal for their screw but she didn’t . When u spend 50$ for steak and and appetizer I would expect to eat my meal At the same time as everyone else at the table. I would go somewhere else next time. Mediocre steak too.

My wife and I go to Montana's almost every Friday evening for dinner, this has been something we have don't for decades, yes, decades, maybe not always Montanas. This location had recently gone through some extended renovations and to be honest, since they have reopened a few weeks ago, we have been more than satisfied, the food has been great and hot every time. We have had other guest with us and they have also commented the same. I know this is not all equipment related. This goes to the management and mostly all new staff at this location. We want to do a big shout out to our server (several time) Atlanta for her exceptional service and the GM Alex, who always takes the time to stop by and talk to us. Great job to everyone

We came on Halloween after 7, so it was dead quiet (haha), which suited me - I was glad to have a peaceful meal while I watched a hockey game. The server was dressed as a bee, and was nice and quick. Our food came very quickly, and they tried to accommodate for my dietary restrictions, but it turns out they pre-sauce the ribs so couldn't make me a salt&pepper rub version (I think Montana's in Winnipeg has done that for me in the distant past). I chose to cheat (which I rarely do - sorry, Dr. - I was tired and hungry and had travelled far) and they helped me out by at least not adding more sauce, and I could scrape off some of the sugar/modified corn syrup-filled "honey garlic". It tasted great! I really enjoyed a quiet Montana's - I'm used to lots of noisy chatter. Maybe I'll have to eat out on Halloween more often...

Staff was quick and responsive, food came out tasting great and hot! The only thing that was disappointing was portion size. We stepped out of our comfort zones and decided against the usual burgers tonight at Montana’s and we got the Chicken Burrito Bowl and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The bowl had less then a 1/4 cup chicken, and was served on a plate. Bowls are usually filling but hubby felt underwhelmed when it came to being full. My fried chicken breast was barely 3” x 3” and the bowl of mashed potato’s was 2x the size of the chicken. It was disappointing because it tasted wonderful! But I didn’t expect to spend $17 on mashed potato’s with a side of chicken… the staff and service was great. And we will return for burgers. But just really disappointing to have such small portions on the other meals.

The management in this location is absolute mess.The management especially the General Manager at this restaurant did not care about employees.Lack of knowledge on how to run a business.Lots of people quit because of her.Very rude and very unprofessional.Labor hours were cut down and the place was filthy because of it.Not enough workers on the floor which lead to having a heavier workload. The managers will cut your hours even you only work for 30 to 40 minutes. My acquaintance in airdrome who work there now is complaining about her hours.She works afternoon till past midnight and the manager will only put her 6 hours of working instead of 8 to 9 hours of working. And told her that She will hit overtime if they will put the right number of hours she work.Terrible place to work!

Disappointing to say the least. Went this evening and had issues with the ribs we were served. One set was amazing, fall off the bone good. The other was very tough, couldn’t cut through and barely any meat. They ended up giving us a new rack but the rest of us were done eating by the time it came. It was a mistake on the kitchen part for allowing that to be sent to the table. My kids ordered pizza and one with French fries. The kitchen dumped the French fries on top of the pizza so all the cheese stuck to the fries. Could this not have been put on the side? It destroyed her pizza seeing as it’s a cheese pizza and now there was nothing left on it after removing the fries. I had ordered a Pepsi which was spilled before it got to the table. I ended up choosing to order something else but yet was charged for the Pepsi. My hubby noticed it after the payment went through and mentioned it to the server. She felt bad and started getting her tip money out to refund us as she said the only person who could do it is the owner and they weren’t there. We were incredibly embarrassed with her doing this in front of others but honestly just horrible etiquette. No customer wants to take a servers tips!!! Prior to ordering we were told anything ordered that comes with corn bread we would not get as the corn bread was sold out. They didn’t replace it with anything yet it’s part of the meal you pay for. The owner of this franchise really needs to step things up. There should have been a substitute offered. On top of that the server didn’t offer ketchup or other condiments usually offered when your food is delivered. We asked for extra wipes for eating ribs which were never given. Mostly little things but it all adds up. Our server asked us if we wanted to leave our number for the owner to contact to refund the Pepsi after we declined her tip money but come on we aren’t going to come back for that. The point is someone should always be on staff that is able to refund when mistakes are made. Shouldn’t be left to the poor server to give her tip money but she also should have checked the bill before delivering it to us.

Service was bad. Food wasn't any better. After standing at the entrance of an empty restaurant for ten minutes we tried to seat ourselves only to be told to wait. After we finally got a table it took another twenty minutes to get a drink and place our order. Food took about half an hour to get to us and was hardly even warm. Due to the fact that the restaurant was empty I would expect better service than that. Probably won't be going back.

Typical Montana fair , you have the ribs and what not. I opted for the fajitas this day and the food was hot and fresh. This time of year the place was basically empty although it was middle of the day. Regardless you simply can’t beat a cold beer with that sort of scenery.

Really not impressed... Manager was arrogant and not helpful. We ordered and were told they were out of their striploin, then magically they had it.. They were not able to serve me different beverages.. Coolers, cosmopolitan... Forgot part of our order, steak was cooked beautifully by the way.. Unfortunately it was not seasoned and completely bland, hair in the food... When we tried to talk to the manager his solution was... Oh well maybe you should have said something sooner.. Will not be back... They don't deserve 1 star...

I was looking for a place to go for dinner and I made a really big mistake by choosing Montana's. It's not the first time that I am dissapointed by the poor quality of the service, but this time the wait was even worst than what I experienced in the past. I stood up around 5-6 minutes at the entrance and nobody came to greet me, there was only a party of 4 seated at a table. It was around 4:30. So, I walked towards the back and asked the waitress "Can I sit anywhere?" she was working by herself she said. Lucky for them I didn't leave. She came and I ordered right away. It took over 40 minutes before getting my ribs. Food was good. Nobody came to check if I was missing anything, and nobody took my plate away at the end. I waited on the bill for about 20. So I decided to stand up and finally someone came with the machine. They should hire more staff, that place is really not well managed.

My FAMILY are creatures of habit. THIS particular Montana's Jasper is always on our Jasper checklist when we visit here together. The staff and manager are super friendly, the food is always on point and it never disappoints. We don’t frequent Montana's in Edmonton very often but this Jasper location is always great :) They deserves Five stars

They have some very interesting drink choices at the moment that are quite quite good.

It's the first time I tried a Montana's in a small tourism town outside of major urban areas and I was not disappointed. Food quality was definitely up to chainwide standards and staff just as well trained and friendly. Don’t go here! We waited two and a half hours for our food! The service was horrible so we notified the manager, and she completely cut us off! We didn’t even have cutlery on the table, we had to put away our own menus, and we didn’t even get a discount. It was my Mother’s birthday and my Grandmas birthday, and they didn’t get any dessert or special offers. Our food was cold, and we waited ten minutes for our drinks, and about 5 tables came in and walked out within a half an hour! This restaurant served horrible service, the waiters and managers were rude, and the food wasn’t even hot.

Wow, the Montana's in Jasper is amazing. The food is somehow better than any other Montana's I have been to. The staff there are super friendly. Will go there over a lot of other local restaurants that have, sadly, disappointed us in Jasper. Their beers come in like crazy huge sizes and their fries are so delicious. Oh, and definitely get the beef rib. It's a delicious Brontosaurus/Flintstones experience!

It was very good food. The atmosphere was very lively. I sat in the lounge with my husband. If you go to Montana's, you definitely go for the ribs. I love the apple butter barbecue sauce, it is my absolute favourite. The service was good, despite the bar being busy when we went, and the food was also delicious. It was a little loud in the lounge when we went. Still, I would definitely go back. They can cure any craving for ribs. The wings are also delicious.

Worst service I have ever had, they all acted like they were going crazy. Took about 10 minutes to even get acknowledged. We asked for rootbeer they never had any. My son wanted the kids pizza, wasnt an option. We ordered our food, pretty basic things and an appetizer. She never came to refill our drinks once I had to ask for a refull. No bi deal 15 minutes later still no drink. It was a paralyzer . We got our food still no drink my husband never got one as well needed a refill. Nevee got our appetizer asked she said she forgot to order. Still no drink... i asked and she said she forgot. I ordered a dteak and couldnt even cutthrough it and my shrimp weere burnt and cold. I do not recommend going here.. tbere areway better restaurants rhere dont waate your time here. I keber got an apology or can I make something better for you. Nothing!!! .

I was there last night and I watched your staff refuse to allow a group of about 10 indigenous people sit together at one big table. You made them sit apart at two tables. But Within a half an hour a larger group of white people came in and heaven and earth was moved to put them all at o e table. I also watched your wait staff be rude and abrupt with these poor folks, and even saw them refuse REFUSE to all one person to put their whole tab on one credit card. I was SHOCKED. And embarrassed.

We came to Montana's for supper and we had a fairly good time. Our server was very nice and served us as quickly as he could. Unfortunately I they were short staffed this evening, but our server did a very good job! The food arrived a bit slow but was hot and very good. I would say the restaurant looked nice on both inside and outside, however it looks like the flooring desperately needs a refresher. Overall I would probably go again when I'm in Jasper.

Went to Montana’s in Fort McMurray 2 days ago to see if they were open from renos yet. We have been waiting a long time to eat there. They weren’t open yet, but to our surprise, all of the handicap parking spaces in front are gone and replaced with 3 Skip the dishes parking spots. Truly a sad sight to see. Shame on you Montana’s.

Sitting in the Jasper outlet as I type. The heat is not working and it is freezing cold! The gas fireplace is not on. When I asked why not I was told they tried yesterday but couldn't get it to work. Come on Montanas! How can you not get someone in to get this fixed? After 2 days?? We have not yet received our food. Hopefully the food is better than the climate in the restaurant!

The whole experience was a nightmare We went there for dinner around 2 weeks ago. When we got there, restaurant was pretty empty. We ordered 3 steaks and 1 rib, when the food came, 2 of the steaks were cooked wrong so they were sent back to kitchen. After 40 minutes waiting, the manager was delivering our food this time. She shoutting at us "medium rare" and dropped the plates on table. We told her the baked potato was on the wrong plate, she Used Her Hand to grab my potato from co-worker's plate and put it in my plate in front of us. When my coworker told her "don't use hand". She replied us " It's okay." If I wasn't dinning with my coworkers, I would have just walk out of the restaurant. Wrong order, slow service, kitchen can't cook steak right, the most important thing is letting someone unprofessional runs the restaurant. Good luck with your business.

Different people have different interpretations of what each level of cooked steak should be like, to me medium here is usually great, in my opinion there is a risk of it being too well done if anything more than medium is selected. The selection and flavors of sauces for steak is fantastic.Great atmosphere especially if you like country music and wild west type themes.

We have gone to Montanas in Edmonton and Red Deer and had great hot served food , ribs especially with great service. Jasper's Montanas was a monumental disappointment. Spinach dip was warm not hot, ribs were dry and luke warm. Got our uneaten dinner to go so we could put more sauce on and get to tender stage when we get home. Defeated the dine out experience. We ate at the Caribou in Valemount last night and it was "Excellent" food , temp and service. For a hot spot in Jasper the mark was off sorry , not on our return. Hope you can up your game when things get busier this spring/ summer 2021 March 13.

No host/hostess at door and no sign saying wait to be seated either. Tried ordering a beer and they were out of the kind Originally wanted. On too the food we tried ordering a 7oz steak and no longer had that and I had to order a 10oz. The steak was suppose to be medium-rare and came out medium-well or more or less well done, was dry and tough no pink. The sampler platter ordered which was missing a cut of meat we were informed of this and got 1 extra rib for it, but there’s a create or own pulled pork “sandwich” which only came with a half piece of bread where at every other Montana’s we have been too has had 2 pieces or a bun to actually create a sandwich. Over all disappointed. Talked to the manager he was very nice and friendly only made us pay for a 7oz steak and helped us substitute something in for the missing items. The waitress was very friendly and caring. People are wonderful that work there just the food was very disappointing .

We waited over an hour for our food. It came out barely warm, my noodles are dry and look like they have been sitting for a while. We had to pass down a heaping bouquet of forks and knives down our table after the food already came out. In front of me is a heaping puke of empty cups that have been there for 15 minutes. Not to mention they had 10 chairs for our 15 person reservation. Here to celebrate a good friends birthday and all of us are extremely disappointed. One of our friends was told to go up to the bar to get his drink . Another friend got a lettuce stump in her salad.

Every wednesday Montanas does offer all you can eat pork ribs for $29.99. It does include the ribs as well as fries / potatoes, Cole Slaw and a piece of cake. You will start with a 9 bone rib and receive 3 / 4-bone-pieces afterwards. The restaurant was pretty crowded, so that we received a place directly at the bar counter. Staff was friendly and attentive, so that we never had to wait long for the next round.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. Went into the lounge part and my boyfriend and I ordered 1 beer and 1 non alcoholic drink. Took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Bar was not even half full. Then, while ordering our food the waitress gave me a scoff under her breathe in front of us when I asked if they had a gluten free bun. While waiting for our meals there were tables with dirty dishes everywhere on tables that customers had left over 20mins prior. As I'm still sitting here it's been over an hour for those tables to be cleaned. And the plates that were taken were just stacked behind the bar. Unsanitary and disgusting. I'm a server that works in the service industry in Fort Mac at a busy bar uptown and I get being busy and not having enough time sometimes but this is outrageous. Very disappointed and won't be coming back. The food was great so I'll just be ordering SKIP from Montanas from now on. When you work in the service industry it is our job to provide good customer service. Being rude hurts yourself for tips, gives the place a bad name, which in turn is unfair to the coworkers. Not at all acceptable.

We had a wonderful time here, being Sunday night, it was quiet inside. We got a table by the window, and watched a fox walk across the street. Our server was attentive and extremely polite, the manager was also a very friendly man. Our food arrived promptly and nice and hot. So where should I start. Coming in, the "greeter" was more of a scarecrow. Not the fact that it was a bulky man with tattoos, but the fact that we were harshly asked if we had our vaccination cards. We did a rapid test, some of us had forgotten them in the van. With impatient motives, he was rude to us. There's more, but no use writing about it. All I want to say is, please respect the next customers more then us. I don't want to cause an argument, but with my last experience it was tough not too.

One of the servers was mia for most of our meal, but we got help from another server who was very kind. Didn't get our drinks topped up would have been nice. Waited hour and a half for two steaks and a grilled cheese. saw the waitress two or three times didn’t even get an apology or reason why it was so long of a wait. Three tables that go in after us got food before us. Got all are food packed up and they forgot some. Never had a problem here before but this was ridiculous. And after reading some reviews this place sounds like it sure has went down hill. Strongly don’t recommend this place, fire up your own bbq and cook your own steak. if I could give it half a star or not one at all I would.

Had the lobster sauce steak. It was OK. Husband had the shrimp and steak. His steak was chewy and he said not flavorful. The spinach dip app was disappointing. Same cream cheese sauce on the spinach as the anjoiles had last time I was to Montanas . Too much same flavours. Probably not rushing back there. With a tip supper was $60.

Good food lots of choice mainly bbq but they have beef, porn and chicken. You can take an expensive steak or Mexican fajitas. The portions are big so make sure you’re hungry. The service is good but they do not waste much time so just tell them that you like to look at the menu for more than a minute.

Unfortunate Customer Service. Tonight I wanted to order take-out from the hotel next door. The app wasn't working, I tried ordering different things, ordering online on my laptop - wasn't working, tried ordering different menu items, tried different wireless networks..etc. and then tried calling the restaurant itself. Ended up with a loop of pre-recorded messages about a $5 coupon if you order online. So, after 30 min of struggling, I walked over to order (it is just next door) I let my frustration & grievances be known to the night manager and she said i'm sorry - they were very busy tonight. I ordered my supper (not getting the $5 off coupon now, and the charge for a can of pop is $2.99 vs the online quote of $1.49!?) and none of my plastic cards would work. So I used the ATM to grab cash. Turns out none of the machines were working across the whole restaurant. While waiting for my order, since it was going to be pretty quick, the bartender asks if i'd like something to drink. So I also buy a beer. Got my food, left. On the way out, there's a lineup at the ATM and the patrons said the waitresses were giving them the $3 service charge back for having to use the atm. So I'm a little disappointed that all I got was a sorry, not the $5 coupon, not a free beer, not the $3 back for using the ATM. And this all took an additional hour after already working a 14 hour day. Though its all through unfortunate circumstances, not in their control, I think I'm being reasonable when I say a "beer on the house" or complimentary "INSERT HERE" goes a long way and it didn't happen for me. So I think i'll go the path of least resistance and I will traverse to the Boston Pizza across the street in the future. Obviously this is an unlikely series of unfortunate events, but that's also the best opportunity for customer service to shine.

All staff we could see were wearing masks. We ordered for takeout. The food was prepared quickly. The price was fair for Jasper. The food was good. One of our meals was supposed to be a children's meal but we got the adult version. We didn't double-check before we paid. Kid's meal is cheaper but my kid was disappointed not to get the dessert. This was a good excuse to get icecream after dinner.

A friend and I had dinner here this evening, and we were treated very well by the staff, particularly our waitress Angelica. We got a great seat outside on the upstairs balcony. I ordered ribs and salad and my friend got the chicken fajitas. The ribs I had were ok and the flavour was alright, but the meat wasn't the envious "fall-off-the-bone" type. Overall, we thought our orders were pretty good, but not outstanding. We both admitted that some similar recent, prior restaurant eating experiences were superior. That said, the service we got here and their making sure we were satisfied was wonderful!

Usually I wouldn't take the time to write an unfavorable review but here I am! Had a most unremarkable experience dining at the Montana's in Jasper. My meal arrived wrong even though I corrected the server 3 times. Ordered the Trio Meal, Ribs, Chicken Breast & Shrimp, got Ribs & Chicken wings, again told him 3 times that wasn't what I wanted! Halfway through eating my wrong meal my chicken breast & shrimp arrived. My shrimp literally tasted like the smell of burnt hair! What was funny, there were 4 tables in our area of the diningroom, 2 others while we were there complained about their meals, with the remark from the server, close to yelling " I've worked 3 months straight 17 hours a day, sorry if I made a mistake" and then just stormed off! There are a lot of great choices in Jasper to have an excellent meal. I highly recommend you choose anyone of them and completely avoid this restaurant!

The service was good!!! However the food is consistently bad. (I have been here 3 times really not much choice in Brooks. I would recommend fast food in Brooks at least the quality is better.) Montanas -They hire untrained cooks not chefs. This time I ordered a 10oz sirloin with a loaded baked potato and shrimp. The shrimp was way over cooked. The steak was supposed to be medium rare, it came out medium but it tasted like the grille has never been cleaned - like burn charcoal. But the baked potato was hard and cold in the middle. Whoever cut the potato to put it on the plate had to notice this, but clearly didn't care enough to do something about it. So I sent the potato back. I'm sure they microwaved another one and it came out when my steak was all gone. Yes I ate the charcoal tasting steak. I didn't have time wait for a new steak. I just won't go back. I'm sure nobody at this location would even care. Just walk a few more steps McDonald's is right next door at least the food quality will be good.

You could set a clock to precisely 24hrs for a countdown until you surprise check the plumbing capabilities of your cabin. You will even unknowingly test your grip strength in the process. Went to Brooks for a kids hockey tournament. We had 17 kids plus parents and they ran the whole thing like pros. Our server (Chelsea) was beyond solid. Food was all hot and accurate. The GM was in the background making sure it was all going smoothly. Not sure how they pulled it off but wouldn't hesitate doing it again. Full marks.

I am not gonna lie, I have never had a good meal at Montanas after several tries, but I'm glad I got dragged back for one more try at this location. The service was exceptional and the food was pretty decent. I could tell the steak is cooked short order and they don't use fresh herbs in the chimichurri, but it was still o.k., and there were other things such as the potato chips and fresh green house salad that were very tasty. Long story short, order simple things that are either raw or deep fried and you can't go wrong!

The reason I gave a two star is because our server was so rude, she appears not concern! I went for a birthday lunch with a girl that just turned 16 years on Nov 28th, 2018. Our server came took our orders for drinks, took like forever to bring drinks! Then she served tea without condiments or spoon to stir tea. She took forever to take our food order! And of course we were so hungry! And after she took our order, we waited awhile to get our food! And she didn't give us no ketchup etc! Infact at this point we were just tired of her service! Her attitude was really rude! We had to ask her for takeaway containers which she reluctantly brought, and of course birthday girl wanted a dessert, our server took sometime to bring menu and served dessert on a plate, even when we told her to go!

The first time I went there was about two days after they opened and my experience was very nice. The second time I went was a disaster. The staff were very very rude, they didn't write down my order and when they got it wrong the second time they argued with me. The staff was standing around having inappropriate conversations in front of customers. When I went to pay for my meal the waitress left the debit machine at the table and didn't even return to give me my receipt. The over all consensus around town is that it's a bad experience. The food was alright though lol

We ordered a steak sandwich TO-GO (for work lunch), when when we initially ordered our meal. Took over 30 mins to get our meal. When we asked for the bill...no steak sandwich meal ready...they said it was coming out in 5 mins. We had to wait for 25 mins (after paying our $140 bill), to get the steak sandwich meal. Not even a discount. It was a 2hr visit that I wish I could take back. Very unhappy. ☆However, I will go there again, because their Double-Dusted Wings (Mild) are amazing.

My wife and I went to Montana’s in Fort McMurray for lunch after church on May 4th 2014. We ate deep fried pickles for an appetizer and they were delicious! The pickles were nice and hot and the ranch dip they came with made them an excellent start to our meal. If only things had continued so well. My entrée was the rueben sandwich and my wife’s was a custom burger. The rueben sandwich I ate was one of the worst I had ever eaten. The bread seemed stale and was very hard; hard enough to make me feel as if I might cut my gums while eating. The sandwich was also very cold and the meat was even hard in some places. Simply put, I felt like I could have made a better rueben sandwich at home. I asked my wife how she enjoyed her custom burger. She said it wasn’t bad. She was being modest. My wife is a bacon fanatic and she ended up taking the bacon off of her burger because it wasn’t crisp. She offered it to me, but it looked so slimy I wouldn’t try eating it. Aside from the unexpected poor food quality, the atmosphere was nice and the waitress was extremely attentive and responsive to our unspoken needs. We may try going to Montana’s in Fort McMurray for supper one day when we expect their food to be of a little higher quality, hopefully.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they first opened because they were new. But it had been a while now and no lie the last time me and my husband went the place was empty so we thought it would actually be a good experience. We got seated and it took FORTY Minutes just for someone to come ask what we want to drink! An HOUR to get our food and it was cold. Worst. Service. EVER. I don't recommend this place to anyone unless they have an entire afternoon to waste. Never going back.

Rude Manager Everything was fine until we were almost done with our lunch. This older lady who happened to be the manager started clearing a table in our area. My Son was just wandering around minding his own business, just being a kid. He was standing by the window admiring the Jasper weekend street traffic. My son is 4 years old. She passed by our table multiple times, and I could tell that something was bothering her. The restaurant was fairly empty and there were multiple tables empty around us. At one point she started cleaning an empty table and came to my wife to ask her to be "Seated" - in a very rude and condescending manner. My wife was standing next to her chair. This lady came back again and this time to tell my Wife to keep my child "Off" that area as she is going to have someone seated there. Again in a very condescending and rude manner. My son was nowhere around that table, He was on his chair or by the window behind our table the whole time. I didn't want to ruin our vacation so we decided to just ignore it for now and deal with it later. As it was getting very offensive & we were almost finished with our meal - I decided to ask for my check. I could see her going to her server and pointing in our direction and saying something. My server arrived with our bill and left the POS for payment. I paid the bill, while we continued to finish our meal and were planning for dessert. This is where it gets interesting - This Manager came around our table and started clearing our table while we were still eating our food & waiting for the dessert that came with the kid's menu. She took the plate away from us while we were still eating. We were shocked and speechless. We felt humiliated!!! At that very moment, our server arrived. I confirmed with our server if that lady was her manager (which she confirmed, yes that rude lady was the restaurant manager) and briefly told her how we felt. Before I could finish my sentence, She broke down in tears and apologized. She mentioned that she was having a very difficult time with her. Holding back her tears, She asked me about the desert but I declined and we left. We are still trying to figure out the reason behind the Manager's hatred towards us - Could it be because we were the only person of color in that restaurant at that time? I am going to escalate this complaint and hold her accountable for her rude and condescending behavior. It amazes me that the restaurant claims to be a family restaurant but shows a complete lack of empathy towards families with young children. I like going to Montana's but now I will never set foot in any of Montana's Chain.

If you like Montana's food with half the flavor and half the menu options, you will love the location in jasper. We got deep fried pickles and garlic bread and cheese appies, that were mildly good, however the burger was salty and had a prefrozen taste. The service was good, there is family seating and everyone wore masks due to covid.

I was visiting the Skytram Jasper with my family on last Saturday and we encountered Montana’s BBQ & Bar. Although they were full and had many people waiting at the door, they still managed to get us a table with the help of lady Host / manager who did absolutely great work to accommodate us. Can’t remember the name of our Server who did a fantastic job! He took his time with us describing the daily offers and drink specials, and is overall a very friendly person. Not only was the service good, the food was phenomenal as well - the beef rib, fish and chips, chicken burrito bowl, and all you can eat ribs were all hits. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you so much Montana’s Jasper team for providing us your great hospitality!

Big Disappointment, took over 30 min to get drinks and over an hour to get meal. Took an hour to get the starter soup, i finished my meal before my son was served his meal which was just fries. We were there for 2 hrs!!!! Machine would not work for scene card. Definitely wont be back.

I really liked the food of this place. I got the chicken tacos and they were awesome! With it, comes sprinkled “kapow!” Sauce, which went really well. They also have a Texas barbecue sauce that went really well with the fries. If I ever go back to Jasper National Park (a great park) I will definitely come back to this place! The service was also excellent, and I was glad it was family friendly and did not stink of alcohol the bar area.

We ordered montanas tonight for my sons birthday. It came missing a side. Paid $20 for a 7 ounce steak and was suppose to get fries for the side and it wasn't there. I called and a girl took my number and order number and said her manager will call me back in the next 5 minutes, and she never did. Very poor service. Also, you should tell the cook to be more careful when they make the food. There was a large piece of plastic stuck to the bottom of my sons pizza. Luckily he noticed it and didn't eat it. I usually love montanas and order from there a fair bit but i am super disappointed.

The atmosphere was great, our server was also great. I ordered a $30 striploin steak. Ordered it rare and it came medium....overcooked. the waitress was very nice and offered to re-fire a new one. When it came it was rare but looked like it didn't even see the grill. No grill marks, nothing. Plus the fact that over 2 "ounces" of my steak was inedible due to gristle.

Worst experience ever. Just left this restaurant after 1.5 hours there and did not even get our food order. We waited to be seated about 5-10 minutes before anyone noticed we were waiting. After we got seated, the waitress came and took our drink order and I ordered an appetizer right away. We waited for our drink order and waited, the appetizer showed up before the drinks we ordered did. After we enjoyed our appetizer, the waiting commenced for our mains. We waited and waited and waited, the waitress who was a younger girl, did not once come and give us an update on our food or give us a second look. After waiting for too long of a time, we decided to leave. Too which the young waitress replied “we had our big table order to come our first.” We asked for our bill, she came out and said our order was ready but by this time we were too disgusted and just paid our bill and left. Worst dining out experience ever in Fort McMurray.

We got asked where we wanted to sit and we proceded to sit in the dining area. Got our waitress Maggie who was friendly and very helpful in answering our Questions. We got our drinks and my fiance was cold in which a staff member noticed and asked if she would like a blanket. What a great touch. Then the meals came out and oh my they did not disappoint. Yummy, plentiful and flavoursome. Definitely will be coming back.

Food was decent. Service was terrible. Sat at the bar for over 5 min before being acknowledged, with 2 employees serving 14 other people in the lounge. They seemed more interested in chatting with the staff that had just finished work sitting at the other end of the bar than the guests in the building. There was no quality check on the food, no quality check on the drink. No offer of another drink or anything else until my glass was empty and my empty food plate was pushed away from me for over 12 min. I have had set my bar low for this brand and every time they just limbo under it.

Indian Pan Flame & Wasana Thai offer amazing authentic very reasonably priced dishes and fabulous service in Brooks.
