I discovered Manoll's Fish & Chips had a "Gluten Friendly" option for their battered fish through Facebook. I tried it for the first time yesterday & I was so Impressed! The batter was very close to a wheat flour batter, it was super tasty! Their service was excellent, the two ladies were so helpful & sensitive to my allergy that they took extra precautions to ensure as little cross contamination as possible. Thank you Manoll's, you now have a new customer for life. :)

I stopped here in the middle of a long drive and it was such an amazing experience! the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and even recommended the park to sit in while I ate! (a fantastic idea btw, definitely try it) On top of all of this, the meal was delicious and plentiful! The cod was large and in charge! delicious crispy batter on the fish as well as a lighter batter on the pickles. The chips were amazing and the tarter sauce was the cherry on top! I will definitely be returning when I stop by Brockville!!!

We absolutely love Manoll's! We drive down from Ottawa just for lunch sometimes! Their seafood combo is a MUST try in our opinion. All of their seafood is cooked to perfection wrapped up in the lightest, crispiest batter! Picking up lunch there and driving down to the waterfront to eat it makes the whole experience so much more magical!

Stopped in at Manoll’s while visiting Brockville on a day trip. The great reviews are what convinced us to choose them and we weren’t disappointed. We each had a single order and the portion size was great. The food is made to order and was some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The staff is incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome. I can see why they’ve been around forever. If visiting Brockville, definitely make a point of stopping at Manoll’s for a meal. I think I’d drive there just to eat - it’s that good!

I've known the owner for a long time. We went to school together. I came home to Brockville after being away for 27 years and decided to eat at Manoll's to see what all the fuss is about. I don't know how they stay in business. I don't know how they stay in business when they give you so much food. The shrimp were the size of dinosaurs. I'm 50 years old and I've never seen shrimp so large in my life. They shouldn't be called shrimp because when you call somebody a shrimp you're saying they're small. These things are bigger around than a cheap hot dog wiener. And the fries well... yeah... I'm still in a food coma. Great food. Great people. Can't go wrong. And I'd say that even if I didn't know them.

On a very busy Mother's Day, we stopped in Brockville for Fish ' n Chips at Manoll's. They were doing a booming business, well organised and keeping it tight. For our feast, we got the family pack with cod and took it on down to the waterfront to tailgate. Opening our packages, we had 6 very generous pieces of crisp, lightly battered cod and enough chips to satisfy everybody and the seagulls. We also had a pint of quality tartar sauce, which I believe was Manoll's product! The fish was crisp and tasty, the sauce was really nice, and the chips rounded out the rest of the meal. My husband and I were in Brockville on Aug. 16th. We were looking for Fish 'n Chips and someone told us about your place. We pre-ordered and when I went to pick it up it was just being packaged. Not wrapped in newspaper but in a box and the home made tartar sauce was wonderful. It was delicious and still crispy when we got back to the motel. It was worth the trip from Montreal where we haven't been able to get good fish 'n Chips.Your business had memories for me because as a child we would visit our Great Aunt (lived next door) and we would go down and get chips. That's going back to the 1950's. We will see you again on our next trip to Brockville.

Stopped through with friends and got the family pack. It was incredible value and was made to order so it was hot and fresh. Our experience was more than just our meal at Mannolls. We really liked the conversations we had as we learned about the history of the business, the old cash register and tape dispenser on display. They also let us know about a park nearby to eat our meal and made a great recommendation to check out Canada's First Railway tunnel. We were grateful for the delicious eats and hospitality during our quick stop through Brockville and recommend it!

Had lunch here on 3 occasions. Enjoyed it very much! Best fish and chips in ages (coming from Toronto and West Germany with a taste for Bratfisch/Backfisch.) Light golden and crispy batter, with fresh, easily flaking haddock or cod, on a bed of crispy, crunchy fries. Comes with a very nice, homemade sauce tartare. Very friendly service! Probably one of my favorite fish and chips all time. To be exact I ordered the seafood combo, definitely recommend for everyone who would like to try out. The fish has a nice moderate thickness crispy coating, not sweet and bready like some; the clams were nice, fresh , and sweet, as well as the shrimps. The staffs were super friendly as well!! 10/10 would recommend, especially as a post dive meal!

Found this restaurant when searching car gps for restaurants enroute to destination. Wanted something other than typical fast food spot. Was pleasantly surprised with this quaint establishment. Off the main highway only a few miles, restaurant located in a small waterfront town. Had both cod and haddock, one piece, fish and chips. Fish was firm, breading was crispy for each. Too many fries to eat, but tasty. Very friendly staff (owners?). Explored shops while lunch was cooked. Shopped for souvenirs at Fudgerry. Small seating area but adequate as my party of two took up all seating. Spent a pleasant hour exploring the small town, waterfront, and Canada’s old railway tunnel.

Wow is all I can say about the Fish. It was awesome!!!! It was placed in the dryer right when we ordered it (as shown in the pictures below) and cooked to a golden perfection. We didn't eat it u til 15 min or so after it was prepared, but the batter locked in the heat and it tasted like it was just pulled from fryer, minus all the grease. I would give the fish a higher then 5 stars if I could....we had the COD and ordered a family pack with an extra medium fries and that fed 4 adults and 2 tweens. We also ordered a calamari, it was SO good. The homemade sauce that came with it was amazing. It was a little pricey for how many pieces you got, but I think it was worth the money for sure. You can't out a price on quality. Now the fries we OK. They tasted great, but they weren't super crispy. Now I don't know if that is a result of us waiting 15 or so to eat it, but we like our fries a little crisper. But they tasted great. Well also ordered a couple of bottles of water, not nothing to say about that. It was water :) Custer service was NOT a problem here. We were served by the owner and another very young lady who had worked there since 1972. They were amazing people. Super kind and explained all of our options for food, and helped us piece together what would be the best option for our family. So in all reviews people want to boil down to quality and value, and I don't think you will go wrong with eating here. The quality of the food was excellent, and the customer service was fantastic. Next time we are in Brockville we will for sure be back.

For little more then a chipstand and a one page menu it doesn't look like much, but there's a secret I've loved about them since my first visit. They have what I consider to be the best poutine in town hands down. I'm not talking about the poutine with cheese curds, that's not the kind I like. I like an ample amount of fries covered in real mozzarella cheese and slathered in a good gravy and boy do they deliver! You can also get a great tasting deep fried cod or haddock. There's really not much else but when you have the best poutine in town, how much more do you need!

I came here in the summer of 2019 and we were new to the area, the staff was so friendly and they explained everything to us. The fish and chips were also great, they even told us to bring our food to a nearest park with benches, and we ate there. The portions were also generous. This is a staple and if I'm visiting Brockville again I'll be sure to eat here!

Had a pretty good fish and chips experience! I wasn't expecting Brockville to have so many options, but I decided to try out Manoll's and a fried cod was enjoyable. The batter was crisp and the fish quite flaky, although the chips part of the dish disappointed. They were limp and lacking salt. The standout was a tartare sauce, which paired excellently with the fish. The takeout spot dates from the 1930's and I really enjoyed the vibe inside with a solid meal as well.

Great tasting fish and tartar sauce, and the hostess is really friendly. It's a bit small and there's no bathroom, so I'd say the best experience is to head down, place an order, get to know the hostess while they cook it, and bring it home. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.

We dropping in on our way from Montreal to Toronto and boy did I find a hidden gem. I was just looking for some food before walking over to see the railway tunnel and was greeted by the most gracious owner! She was enthusiastic and absolutely loved keeping the tradition that her family started. The fish and chips were freshly made, crispy and light, along with probably one of the most amazing sauces ever. I've had fish and chips in many places with some of my favorite spots being in London but this gem definitely compares. Must try!

Unfortunately the drive from Kingston and the price we paid was not worth it. Would have loved some of the golden crispy chips shown in the photos, but ours were overdone, brown and dry. We left most of them. Asked for S&V on the order but I honestly couldn’t taste either. Fish was tasty, although only warm. We waited quite awhile, and then were told our order sat on the counter without us being told it was ready. They were busy and did apologize for forgetting us. But once it sits too long and with overcooked chips we were bound to be disappointed. Which is a shame when so many say how wonderful this place is.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Took it down to the park near the water for a picnic. Shrimp was so perfectly cooked, I was amazed. Haddock is the best choice for the fish, skip the clams, they were ok, but couldn't really tell them from the fries. Also -malt vinegar us a must on the fries and ketchup is correct for the haddock (shrimp gets cocktail sauce).

We visited this restaurant this week, after arriving in Brockville to find the other famous Fish & Chip shop closed. Very very happy that we decided to give Manoll's a try. We ordered the seafood combo and it was absolutely delicious, nice light batter and perfectly cooked. A great value as well, plenty for the two of us for lunch. Staff were very friendly, lots of smiles and excellent service. Everything was made to order fresh and we got homemade tartar and mayo seafood sauce which were both outstanding. Looks like we have a new favourite stop in Brockville. Will definitely come back whenever we are in Brockville.

Our big group (9 people including vegetarians, gluten intolerant, celiac, dairy allergy (lactose and casein)) was completely and entirely happy with the place and choices that the ladies at Manoll's offered - the mother-daugther team behind the counter is awesome and was able to point out a nice park where to eat - perfect for the whole family! I am very happy to report that those of us who suffered from allergies and food-restrictions were perfectly happy and healthy after this very copious meal - in fact, we had leftovers for another meal !

This is only the second time I have had fish and chips from Manoll's, the cod was in a beautiful light better, fresh french fries and a side order of onion rings. The onion rings were bit overdone to the point where it was hard to find any onion in the rings. Overall though I really enjoyed the meal. The service was very good and friendly. The price is very compatible to the other three fish and chip shops that I have tried in Brockville.

First time eating here over the past weekend and will definitely being going back again. The seafood platter was incredible! The shrimp were massive and the clams very tasty. Loved the batter. Had some as soon as we got home and it was fantastic, then a few bites cold later in the early evening and still delicious and the nice surprise was when we actually heated it up in the oven to finish for a later dinner it was still crisp and amazing! Absolutely enjoyed both the homemade tartar sauce and the seafood sauce which was like nothing I ever tasted. Service was super friendly and quick. Did not disappoint and will be a returning if not regular customer.

Visited from Boston where we have our fair share our Cod and Haddock and this place had delicious Fish! We got 3 pieces of haddock and 3 pieces of cod for our family of 4. Needless to say even the crumbs were gone at the end of our fish feast! The batter was light yet crunch and the haddock especially was tender sweet and delicious - and i don't usually like fish. The owners were very helpful and friendly and our fish was cooked right in front of us in a place that was clean enough to eat right off the countertops. This place is a gem for sure!

It's been around forever and has stayed pretty consistent when it comes to the food . I love the onion chips. They go good with a few pints. Poutine is forgettable. Restaurants really need to stop putting mozzarella on a Poutine. It's not an Italian dish. And maybe upgrade gravy game it just doesn't suit poutine. Other the that It's worth a visit.

An off night I think. This is my #1 favorite go-to for fish and chips, always hot, crispy, fresh. A treat. I think tonight they had something wrong. I never thought I'd rate them average. The chips had the texture of frozen string fries, did not seem home cut. My fish was crispy on the ends but in between not crispy, more wet and flat. The fish flat, not firm. Lacking flavour or seasoning. I call it as it is. We all have off days. Really hope my favorite gets back on track.???? Update: thank you to the owners. As noted, an off night. Unfortunately MANOLL'S fish and shrimp is not as good as their competitor DON'S FISH. MANOLL'S FRENCH FRIES ARE SUPERIOR TO THOSE OF DON'S . DON'S FRIES ARE ALWAYS OVER-COOKED ALMOST BURNT. MANOLL'S SHOULD HAVE KEPT THEIR ORIGINAL RECEPY FOR THEIR FISH, IT WAS JUST AS GOOD AS DON'S THEN but now MANOLL'S business is suffering because of it. Go back to your original fish recipe.

Clam strips were amazing though a little sparse but they were cheap so next time a double order for me, not double the fries you get way more than enough. Wow, what a wonderful surprise, just located a few steps from Brockville's main street, (King Street), this yummy take out restaurant will please any foody, ... we ordered the family size fish and chips dinner, (fresh cut fries and the fish is dipped in the batter right before your eyes) . They also offer other seafood specialties. Pick up a yummy meal and walk to the waterfront park and enjoy a scenic picnic.
