Drive thru is slow and not many cars fit. We haven't found the inside to be very clean either. (In response to DQ Fan Team reply) I don't like leaving more negative reviews, nor do I consider myself impatient in drive-thrus. We waited at least 15 minutes for the line to move one vehicle, at one point. That's a bit too long. It's also possible it was a busy day and the staff had a hard time keeping up, tho they didn't seem overly busy or stressed (this was several months ago when we found the restaurant part unclean and was just the beginning of COVID stuff as well, so the volume of people inside was very light). Be assured that we do frequent DQ and this won't stop us. We just feel they could do better at the Chatham location. :-/

Always look forward to coming here for a quick cold treat, and occasionally a meal. Usually great and speedy service. Edit: The speedy service previously mentioned has gotten worse over the years. Still a local favourite for their Blizzard treats and occasional hot meal, but the wait time due to a younger generation of unmotivated staff can sometimes be outrageous.

Passing by, while visiting for a cruise with my girlfriend. We wanted to try the place as it was serving more than just ice cream. They forgot to add the honey-mustard dipping sauces with the chicken strips…. Come on guys !!!! We had burgers and fries too (the 2 for 5$ cheeseburger lovers). At least the burgers were medium and garnished ! Messed up packaging too of the order in the bag. I didn’t ask for much, seriously. I had to open the bag while 10 km away to find out !!!!! Eating dry chicken strips without any sauce is the worse with dry fries. Not doing 500 km again just for that ……… nope ???? Other places do much much better with less. Time to train the team !!!! Frankly, need more organization. You owe me sauces, people !!!! My girlfriend was disappointed too…

Definitely one of the best places to get a hamburger in Chatham. The price is very comparable to the other places and taste is so much better than Harvey's, McDonald's low end burgers and Burger King. Service is as quick as fast food chains. The only reason I don't always get lunch here when I want a burger is location sometimes it's just more convenient to use McDonald's.

I went yesterday and there were two female employees wearing their mandatory masks on their chins, well taking my order and making it. Most irresponsible people wear their masks off their nose, but having it so bad that I can see ur mouth too?? It was gross. The Chatham Dairy Queen place is very expensive and the owners DON"T know how to talk to employees at all. Yelling , lecturing and belittling a 16 year old is not acceptable in any work place. They should be more respectful and have decency towards the young employees. It was disgusting to hear them treat a young girl (new to the job) with such disrespect. I believe they play favorites also. One girl Celeste is an entitled snot nose brat who thinks she can be lazy and pick the easiest jobs and leave the real work for the good employees. This behavior is unacceptable yet it happens regular. She needs to be told that good work habits means something and being lazy and acting entitled is disgusting and everyone around her knows it. Having a family member who hired you doesn't mean you can ride their tails and treat the job like it's a joke. I am always disappointed in this location and the way it's run. There is NO respect or consequences for bad behavior. I won't be giving my money away to expensive money grubbers who yell and disrespect employees like the Chatham location does. Get a grip on the important things on running a dairy queen and stop abusing employees while letting others walk all over the others. DISGUSTING!!

It's my first visit to Dauphin (Manitoba) And one of the attractions that caught my attention is the Diaty Queen Grill & Chill. It's a new facility. Very attractive both inside and outside. Interestingly, there are varieties of offers and treats in addition to the tradition ice cream that Diary Queen is known for. If you are planning to visit Dauphin, please plan to spend some minutes at Diary Queen, Dauphin. It's going to be a great experience.

I always go through the drive thru and never go in, the inside of the building haven’t been updated in over 10 years (since I was in high school). The lines for the drive thru are super slow and long. Their credit card machine isn’t working properly half the time. Most times it’s a young high school student that’s new on the job. And I’ve gotten my order wrong before. But it’s Dairy Queen, not a 5 star restaurant so what do you expect ????‍♀️

This is by far the worst Dairy Queen on the planet. It's slower then molasses. I highly recommend driving elsewhere for your ice cream and food cravings. The last time I visited the dinning room with my family I was so mad at the end of the visit I smacked my melting dilly bar all over the front window. I've never been so mad in my life about restaurant service. We waited over 40 min for or food, not to mention the kids food was wrong. So they had to wait another 20 min. When I stood at the counter they didn't even acknowledge I was right in front of her face. The bathroom were filthy as well. I don't know how this place is still open. They seem to hire people that have absolutely not interest in working. My rant is done.

Ordered a summer berry cheesequake and they were out of the cheese part. Didn't tell me so when I went up to the counter to ask if they forgot to put it in I was told very rudely that they were out but I got some of the Graham crumbs so that should be fine. The manager showed me the container that still had some in it....so why didn't I get any in my blizzard if there was actually some left and they just chose not to put it in mine? I asked for a refund and got a nice snotty eyeroll from the cashier. I ended up getting my refund after waiting a while but I don't think I'll be spending any more money at this location. If they had just told me from the start that they are out I would've gotten something else. Their loss

A few weeks ago we ordered 2 4 pc. chicken dinners with ranch dip. the chicken was Ok but the fries tasted like they'd been reheated under the heat lamp. Service was slow and staff was snippy, too. Today we tried again, this time both the fries and the chicken were disgusting. Fries were warm, not hot, and the chicken was over cooked and tough. Certainly not worth the money. We won't be back to this DQ but we will continue to patronize the DQ close to us, in Gananoque, they are the best DQ anywhere.

Brand new location and I went in on opening day. Everything was still immaculate despite the fact that they've been busy all day. Quick service, 2 minute turnaround on a full meal and ice cream. We waited at a table for our order and they brought it right out, even turning the blizzard upside down before handing it over. Really not a very good DQ. Other DQs, when they give you a Blizzard, they are supposed to turn it upside down for a sec, to show you how thick it is. This one never does that, if they did, the whole thing would spill out all over the floor. The Blizzards are not thick, they're always partially melted when they hand them to you. Maybe that is why they don't turn them upside down because they don't make them like they should. They don't put the plastic dome over the cups, like they're supposed to, and they hand them to you open, so you better eat them right away. Forget bringing them home. They give no napkins. Their chicken strips are like dry grocery store frozen sticks. The service is very very very slow. It's just a very poorly run and poorly managed store. It ruins the DQ image...You're not going to get what's advertised on tv. I never go anymore. Oh yeah and the soda. What are they doing?! It's completely watered down. They have to be doing it on purpose to be stingy.

I have been to this DQ on numerous occasions. During the day, on weekdays, EXCEPTIONAL service and quality! Evenings and weekends, the order is either messed up somehow or completely wrong. They close at 2300 (11 p.m.), but for some reason they choose close their kitchen (main source of quality food items) at 2200 (10 p.m.) So if you want to order a burger or fries, you are now s*** out of luck and stuck in line. Now your only option is to order some sort of ice cream or wait for 30 minutes to exit the drive thru with nothing. Thankfully there is a McDonald's right there that will gladly serve you burgers and fries right up until they close.

As a pregnant woman I was craving dairy queen fries (which was odd as I'm not a regular customer) and was excited to buy from the establishment but was severely dissapointed. We went throuugh the drive through and ordered the 6 peice chicken strips with fries box and once I opened it at home (4 minutes away) there was such a limited amount of French fries it could've been a kids meal. They were also grossly cold and obviously old since they were hard and starchy. My chicken strips were the length of my small index fingers which was also dissapointing but at least they tasted decent. Very sad experiance.

Went in to grab a quick to bite eat after my daughters gymnastics. We ordered the 2 can dine for myself and my daughter. The food was great but they messed up my daughters drink. We came through the drive through so I went into the store to get a replacement and was greeted with a smile by the assistant manager who quickly replaced the drink. Marc (the assistant manager) was very friendly and apologetic for the confusion. From my brief interaction with him, he seemed like a strong leader and well suited for his position. Will definitely be coming back.

ordered a dipped cone from the drive thru around 7:30, as soon as i got it, ice cream started pouring from holes in the chocolate, here i am trying to find the nearest parking lot, fresh clothes that i had just put on covered in ice cream, hands, face and car covered in ice cream (even got on my new raybans). so here i am in this parking lot trying to lick up the ice cream at a rate of 68 licks per second covered in sticky ice cream. open my door, i had to throw the ice cream away because it honestly was the best option. then i was trying to clean my car and myself with the 1 provided napkin. thank you dairy queen. p.s this is my first ever review. this is honestly the most infuriated i've ever been with a restaurant. -sincerely, a very frustrated customer.

Sitting in this DQ right now with my 3yo munchkin. Older woman behind the counter has ruined our lunch date, so rude and condescending for no reason. I haven't been to a DQ in years, and never with my little one, so I needed some guidance on which treats came with the kids meal - you would have thought I asked the dumbest question in the world with her tone and response. This place is not properly operated. Minimal staff even though we have a heat wave currently. Restaurant is not very clean. There should be a supervisor in the evenings - having a group of teenagers running a restaurant on their own makes for poor service and mediocre food. I enjoy coming for ice cream, but I never have a good experience. Side note, not accepting $50 Canadian dollar bills is ridiculous.

Slow service, melty ice cream.... I have been here quite a few times now, and am comfortable saying it is the slowest Dairy Queen I have ever encountered. Regardless of line up, once you order, it seems to always take several minutes for someone to make your ice cream/blizzard/whatever, and if there is a lineup, it moves mysteriously slowly. Further every time we have visited in 2019, their blizzards are always super melty, and melt fully very quickly - I honestly dont understand how they pass the blizzard test. I usually try to get an Orange Julius, but more than 50% of the time they are unable to make them due to missing ingredients - I wish they could keep this stuff in stock reliably!! All that aside, this place is GREAT for making custom ice cream cakes, they have some good cake writers, and do a great job so totally recommend for that. If you want an ice cream though - youre better off visiting McDonalds or Cowans - especially as the weather gets hotter!

I had bought two boxes of ice cream treats and when I got home the one box of ice cream sandwiches was EXTREMELY OLD , freezer burnt . Ice cream was rubbery and the wrapper was stuck to the sandwich. Due yo boredom we have been trying different burgers at different places for our bi weekly meal out (take out at the minute) the burgers here were ok, nothing to write home about. I am a brit and just don't get the hype of DQ ice creams.. the price is high the ice cream tasted like frozen water with no real flavour to it I would have preferred a Mcds cone. But as I said it was ok if you want to try something new. Staff were very friendly though :)

Dairy Queen icecream is always creamy and delicious! I love the chocolate crumbs and fudge in the middle and the whipped cream on the outside. When I went for a birthday cake for a friend they had a pretty one with sunflowers. The only problem I had was the writing on the cake was pretty sloppy. But maybe they didn't know how to run the decorator. Anyway it added character to the cake.

June 7 Went tonight for the mobile Monday special which is the chicken finger and fries combo. We used to love this combo! Came straight home only to be so disappointed. The fingers looked as if the had been run over by a semi truck and tasted just as bad. Thank goodness the onion rings and fries were OK. I called the DQ and spoke with the acting supervisor who apologized. She said that she couldn't do anything unless we brought the food back. DQ is our go to fast food place for many food and dessert items. Tonight's experience has certainly dampened our enthusiasm towards DQ quality.
