Katie was the most amazing, hospitable, friendly staff person I've ever encountered at a retail establishment. And their fish, especially the squid salad and candied smoked fish, were delightful and one-of-a-kind! Wish I lived in B.C. so I could visit more often!

The fisherman’s market in West Vancouver is by far my favourite place to get fresh fish. I’ve never bought anything from there I didn’t love. Not to mention the outstanding staff!

Very expensive, quality not great, and they will scam or overcharge whenever they can. I have experienced this several times and am never going back. When I confronted them about it, they became extremely rude, aggressive and unable to reason with.

Run ( don't walk )to the Fishermans Market in Caulfield. I will never buy fish anywhere else again. I've never tasted such lovely fish, and Will and Quinn answered all of my questions and are super helpful... and they are so CUTE. I bought some sable fish burgers and sautéed them in garlic and onions... . YUMMMMMMMM.. I just called back and ordered a larger quantity , frozen ,so I will have enough when friends arrive. They fillet, portion and vacuum seal and freeze to assure your product is always fresh for months.

Purchased a lot of seafood from these folks and to be honest not happy with most of it. My order couldn't be filled in a timely manner and the quality of the products was pretty poor. The cod no matter how it was cooked turned to mush which I let them know but got no response. The halibut was cut in tiny chunks with lots of bones in and the salmon had the skin removed which made for limited cooking options. Would not buy from these folks again.

It is an amazing supplier, reasonable price always fresh seafoods. In my private events they are also doing catering, they are open an oyster bar at the corner of the my office and shucking oysters. They are bringing all their equipments and 3 different oysters and shucking. It is great taste and great show.

Fisherman's Market is a top-notch seafood shop, and my absolute favorite place to buy from. Their product is quality and prices are very reasonable. The staff really knows their stuff, and are very friendly and helpful (plus Katie is a hoot!). If you ever need hard-to-find seafood, just give them notice they can special order. This is the type of place you think of when daydreaming about old-timey shops that specialize in one thing and have long-standing relationships with their customers!

I came across the Fishermans Market in Kelowna when I was visiting family. We got talking and they let me know there is a West Vancouver shop! I went to the Caufield Village shop a couple weeks ago. I absolutely loved the service I got from Katie and Will. I can't get over how knowledgeable the staff are with their seafood. I'm a rookie seafood cook and they gave me great suggestions how to cook the sablefish I bought. As silly as this sounds - They have dried sardines for pet treats. My cat goes nuts for it. Its a win win! I would suggest this place to anyone who likes seafood. rookie or not!

Great new fish store in West Van! I went in to get dinner and ended up buying some fresh salmon, along with two whole black cod. They had a whole black cod sale going on, so I got the very reasonable price of a whole fish, but they filleted, portioned and vac-packed it for me. I was super impressed with how quickly the whole fish was ready for pick up, and by the overall quality and value. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great shop! Friendly and knowledgable staff. They always go out of their way to get me exactly what I am looking for or even help steer me towards a more ethical substitute if the recipe I want to make calls for a fish that isn't sustainable. A lot of those substitutes have not only been super delicious but even have been a more affordable fish than I had intended to buy.
