The owner was nice enough to take some bad frozen food back but then proceeded to make me feel bad about it by showing me up and feeding it to his own fish in front of me while i waited. Also, some fish we purchased were marked wrong but he did take those back as well but was still a hassle.

Hidden gem for all reptile owners they sell used equipment and tanks at very reasonable prices compared to petsart the feeders are 75% cheaper and you can get live or frozen mice rats of any size and a large selectionof tank decor as well will definately be going there for my reptile needs from now on

I have kept fish for many years but primarily just generic types (angels, plecos, guppies, etc) that you can pickup at pet land. I did a ridiculous amount of research over a couple of months and cycled my tank for a full month before entertaining fish. So with that said I did not want just any fish, I wanted exceptional specimens. I ended up choosing African Cichlids, but quickly discovered that there are almost no stores in Central BC that really care about these fish and put any effort into keeping and selling them. Soooo I was super pleased to meet the owner of fish addicts in Langley BC. This guy knows fish!!!! And even better yet recognized how much effort I put in to my setup. He spent a ton of time educating me and helping me select the right fish. He didn't just scope up the fish that happened to be swimming by which I really appreciated! Another amazing thing is that he had almost every fish I researched for my tank which was hugely satisfying. As I live in Kelowna the fish I bought had to endure a 4 hour drive to their new home. I am pleased to say that all my new fish were healthy and easily survived the trip and are happily trying to decide who will be dominant in my tank. So all in all a great experience, I would highly recommend supporting this business!

Just awesome! Me and my dad come here to get fish, plants, and wood. Staff are very helpful and smart. Fore me its a 30 min drive, but its worth it. It is the only fish store in the lower mainland that does not hurt or abuse there fish!!!! Their bettas have 10 gallon tank all with filters and heat. The owner is just amazing, helping us with everything i need to know, but most importantly TAKING CARE OF THE FISH WELL! Some people don't like the open tanks with somewhat little decor. This is better for the fish because you don't have to tear up the tank to catch them. Were can i see when new shipments are in? I have 0 issues what so ever with anything, if you do you can just call them and get fast easy answers. I only wish i could do a 10 start rating, O well.

I was in there today to pick up supplies for the classroom fish tank that I am starting next school year and they were so helpful. They helped me find everything that I needed to get the tank going and made sure that it would fit in the existing tank I had (I had an empty tank with nothing in it). Where ever possible the man helping me found used products to help keep me inside my budget and provided me with so much helpful information about starting a fish tank and keeping the fish happy. Went in with newbie questions about cycling a tank for my kids betta to get him out of a bowl, and they were extremely helpful in answering questions and found the most cost effective product for me. 100x more helpful than the staff at Rogers Aquatics. This is by far the best fish store I have been to. The prices are great and there is a good selection of fresh, brackish and salt water fish as well as corals and live plants. They have a large selection of fish and amphibian supplies. I cannot say enough great things about this store.

Amazing store! I walked in, was immediately greeted by the wonderful cashier, looked at a few tanks, filters, lights, decor, having no idea what was on the other side of the wall. As I walked through the "Fish Room" door, it felt like I had just entered a whole new area. There were an overwhelming amount of tanks and ponds that just absolutely blew me away! I wasn't able to catch the name of the gentleman who did such a fantastic job helping me, but the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful with everything! If your having trouble finding an aquatic animal or plant, this is the place to go.

Good: Best place for freshwater fish hands down, only reason to come here and the high rating. Tons of selection and freshwater fish are in independant tanks reducing the possibility of bringing home sick fish. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Family run and owner is invested so he is always willing to help you out. Pricing on products like food or chemicals is a little more expensive then that of other stores but expected since they don't have buying power. Support your local LFS and pay the couple buck more! Selection is good and they are willing to order items in. Bad: Saltwater is depressing. They went the opposite direction and tied most of their tanks into one system. Lots of unhappy fish, quarantine is always required but double down if you get a saltwater fish from here. Some of their staff, although friendly, have no clue. Saltwater specialist (the young one) sounds like he is guessing. If you can't give good advice, don't give any at all. Prices on used items are laughable and functionality questionable.

I've bought quite a few invertebrates from this store and I have to say that the staff are very intelligent and they provide a service that you lack at other stores. The staff are friendly and approachable and it's always interesting to see what new things are coming in. It's wonderful to see the store grow. My only gripe is that their selection of dry goods is a little lack-luster but it is getting there. They have a good selection of chemicals for water though and besides, most people just buy dry goods on Amazon. Overall, probably the best fish store in the lower mainland and it's only getting better.

I love having Fish Addicts as my LFS. The owner and his family are friendly and offer great customer service. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly as well. I love how as a beginner who has made plenty of mistakes with my fish & plants they never make me feel stupid or like a bad hobbyist. They are always encouraging, willing to teach, and offer good advice. Even if you aren't a hobbyist, the store has an interesting variety of fish with plenty of display tanks. I also recommend checking out the Piranha feeding on Wednesday nights!

This place is so much bigger than it seems from the outside! I was very impressed with this store. The back has a massive selection of fish and I was able to find what I was looking for. When I first entered the fish area, there was a huge tank containing very large fish, but the tank was cloudy. I was immediately greeted by a man who apologized for the cloudy tank and said they were working on clearing it. The people who worked there were friendly and helpful. All the tanks were very clean, and I didn't see even one dead fish. Prices are fair. I ended up buying a few pygmy cories, and a few weeks later they are still very healthy. I would certainly recommend this fish store!

Wow talk about a specialized store. My buddy told me about this store and I thought meh it's going to be a typical store selling some cats, some dogs, some fish and... NO! It's ALL FISH and only a couple of frozen rodents to feed the monster fish I guess. This place is the size of a warehouse and by the end of going around the place I was pleased but a bit disappointed because I was expecting a crustacean section. So I talked to the person at cash and he said there was a whole section for crustaceans! Apparently I missed the other half of the warehouse hahahaa! Boy this is now my favorite place to go shopping for my aquatic needs. 5 stats easy!

Once apon a time, my sister got a couple of small common gold fish. Soon, they went from a bowl to a 2 gallon, to a 5 gal. to a 10 gal. Then she run out of room for a bigger tank, but they kept growing untill they were 1/2 the size of their tank. Needless to say, dispight daily water changes, conditions became toxic and unmanageable.. I tried and tried to get her to give them up but she was determined, if she was ever going give them up, they MUST go to a new home worthy of the encretible love she has for all things living, as they were now a big part of her, and were now her family too.. One day, her, me and some other family members (who all have tanks) decided to venture out to Langley to check out this place we kept hearing so many great things about, as a day trip.. And that it was! We spent more then 1/2 the day wondering around all over the place while their amazing staff showed us everything and schooled us all on so many things about the hobby.. Even after having tanks for some 20 years, I even felt like a newbe!.. I've never even met ppl in person who knew so much about the animal's and hobby.. That, in it's self, was a invaluable treat worthy of our journey out to Langley! Soon, my sister, (who is as cute as a bag of buttons and makes everyone feel like they have a mouth full of jellybeans) and one of the fellas there, were off running, back and forth, up and down, here and there and back again, as he showed her all there was to see.. {and most importantly, what she could do with her hobby once she had dealt with her somewhat painful delema..} While I/we were at the other end of this place, that is more of a complex then any fish store I've ever seen, I could hear her giggling and screaming as I often do.. When I caught up to her, she was standing in front of a massive indoor pond some 30ft long. I could see she had a look in her eye.. I know that look.. I said "what's up sis!" she said, "he said they will take my fish and they will keep them here in this amazing place, for the rest of their lives {if they can} and I can come see them any time I like"! I don't even mind telling you all, it's a good thing there is a lot of water on the floor, anyways.. But this is one of the most moving experiences I have ever had in a fish store.. I'm not sure if it was that she had finally found a place worthy of the love she has for her little friends or that we were in the presents of some of the most beautiful, kind, caring and knowledgeable people I have ever been fortunet enough to have ever met.. (who really, truly got it! ) Sure, I could tell you about the hundreds and hundreds of tanks full of thousands of fish, plants and animals.. Or about there expandtion into the next door building that will double these amazing spaces.. About the plenty full stock of most everything a hobiest could need and so on.. But, if your an aquarest, then I don't have to tell you that fish keeping is about the ecessance of life it's self. It's about loving and caring for these many amazing animals.. The pay off for us is, It's altruism in its finest form.. It's about love, and it's about people, and it's about sharing the many thoughts and knowledge, experances, success, hardships, heartbreaks and our never ending ambition to do better, to help each other, to provide and protect of all the living world around us.. Even, if all we can manage as humans, is in a little glass box.. And when you find "that", in the "people" around you, you know you are truly in the presence of real hobby greatness! Thankyou Fish Addicts! You will forever and always be OUR very favorite fish store!p

I was wrong. You gotta go check it out! Go in, make your way to what you'd think is the storeroom, thru the heavy plastic curtain, and you will understand why they call themselves fish addicts.

I live in Kelowna and went to Fish Addicts for the first time. I was floored. The place is huge! I spent at least two hours there, It is amazing, the tanks are clean the fish are healthy and Eric spent the time with me answering questions, showing off the fish (I think I saw every catfish and pleco in the place and bought 3 cats). There are massive catfish and other big fish swimming in his indoor pond!! What I really liked was the fact that I could finally talk to someone who actually knew what they were talking about. I learned so much! I can't wait to go back!

Very much like this place. Eric is great, will very much tell you how things are. If uku want to be treated with kid gloves it's not the place to be. For solid advice, definitely. The staff are hit and miss, mostly good advice. Couple have major attitude though, see kid gloves comment. Select two depends on the day and how fish shipments have been. I love this place. I went in yesterday in search of sand for my aquarium and was surprised by their massive selection of fish and aquarium supplies. At first glance it appears like a small, run down supply store, but upon going through the doors of the Fish Room (which is undergoing renovation) you're greeted by everything from MANTIS SHRIMP (???!!) to three foot long electric eels. I was absolutely delighted to crawl through, looking at all the tanks of well cared for fish and the sheer variety of plants. And then I turned the corner and was confronted by their betta fish section. Bettas are one of the most horribly treated animals in earth. They are so smart, so alert, so beautiful, and yet they're shipped to consumers in a teaspoon of water and often live their entire lives in a cup of cold water. Bettas, a tropical fish which can easily live to be a decade old and can be taught tricks, die young from poor treatment as there's just so much misinformation about them out there. Even the best aquarium stores underserve them simply because.. they can, I guess. Saving the shelf space on a fish that can survive in a cup of water. So turning the corner and seeing a wall of bettas in which each individual betta had its own five gallon tank blew my mind. I full on started crying. It's pathetic that it's so rare to see, but I'm so, so touched by the care of this company. Definitely will be returning for my aquarium needs going forward. This is the kind of company I want to support.

We came here after seeing them on Google. We just recently got a fish tank for Christmas and we have been looking for a good place to gain education into keeping fish. We were amazed at the size of the place. The front had a very nice lady who helped us find an under gravel pumps. When we went into the back we were enthralled. We had our daughter with us and the young gentleman with the ear plugs was just a wealth of information. He showed my daughter one of the turtles and fed a couple of the fish for her to see. It was quite the experience for her! We found the tanks to be very clean and even though I found one tank with a dead fish, after alerting the young man he quickly scooped up the fish and checked for more that weren't doing too well. It was an amazing experience, and even though the prices were a little higher - we will definitely be back to aquire new fish or plants or even if we have any questions. The higher prices are 100% worth the trip out there

BEST fish store in town! Actually I'm from Abbotsford and I have a fish tank which I got for my 6 year old but I recently bought this tubular tank and light with FAKE fish for my autistic 5 year old. I won the bid for $5 and I was willing to drop $20-$40 on a new pump if that was all that was needed. I had my mom, who lives in Langley, drop it off and pick it up. It was less than $25 for the pump AND the help to install it. I was VERY impressed and grateful. An item that costs $100-$150 brand new cost me less than $30 thanks to them! You can TELL with the customer service that this store provides that this is a family run business. They KNOW their stuff! I now know WHY they were recommended to me by someone in a fish Facebook group. Hands down, I will gladly give them my business and I highly recommend them! Thanks fish addicts for helping me. ❤

I've made several purchases from this fish store. The last 2 times the fish i've purchased died shortly after bringing them home. Obviously diseased. I'm pretty experienced and have been an avid aquarium enthusiast for 12 years. Pretty disappointing when you drive 45 minutes each way and spend $150 just to have your fish die 5 days later. I wouldn't be complaining if this was a one off but obviously if it's happened twice they have a problem with diseased fish.

I hope this is an isolated event and that you have better luck than I did

I will literally never go anywhere else for fish supplies. Eric is so incredibly knowledgeable and lovely. My first time in I was incredibly naive and had just inherited a 60 gallon tank. I was looking to trade in the high end canister filter it came with for a power filter, not knowing the difference. He could've just done the trade, but instead taught me the differences between the two, showed me how mine worked, and recommended I keep it as it was a much better fit for my tank, not to mention worth much more than a power filter. Anyways, long story short, they coulda made a quick buck off of my naivety but chose to help educate me instead and have gained a lifelong customer out of it. Love the store, love the staff, love the fish. All around awesome place!

The staff and owner are extremely knowledgeable and I could write a paragraph about how amazing they are. PetSmart told me my fish had Ich/Ick and I spent over $50 on treatment supplies. I showed pictures of my fish to the staff he immediately knew it wasn’t ick, thank god. They sell so many healthy things for your fish and tank. They also have a YouTube channel for tank help and tips. They sell REAL wood and a huge variety of plants!

Great trip as always, went in on a research & trade-in trip as the house has a new 60 gallon. Got good value for the trades, did some potential fish dream shopping and picked up a couple things. If you're interested in aquariums Fish Addicts is worth the drive from anywhere from Squamish to Hope. The selection is HUGE, the fish healthy, the staff friendly and top shelf when it comes to knowledge. Prices are as good as what you will find online, if not better. I used to work in a dedicated aquarium store and what Fish Addicts has built blows it away. You won't be disappointed.

It's ok. 25%-40% of the tanks were empty but it covers a large area. Some fish you are unlikely to find any where else locally. The fish look healthy but there were many floaters. This is part of the industry but it really upsets some people. Considering when I visited it was almost noon and this should usually be done first thing in the morning, I was disappointed. Because some fish are not common, the tanks were relatively clean and most of the water looked good (some tanks were cloudy) and the live fish mostly seemed healthy I would give it 4 stars but the price pulled that down to a 3. Dont expect any deals and used but probably serviced equipment you can find at a garage sale are priced almost as much as a new replacement purchased online. Check it out but don't get your hopes up. Also the photos on the website might not have all been shot at this shop.

Lots of fun to check out their big show tanks, but haven't had much luck with purchasing fish. We picked up some danios and a bristlenose pleco for our established and extremely healthy tank, and two of the gold danios were dead before we even reached home (10 min drive). They do have a good selection of different species, as well as aquarium decor, and their prices are fair.

I ended up buying some shrimp and some rasboras and drove them home to Kamloops they are all alive and thriving! I love coming to fish addicts. They have so many different fish and their staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It's like visiting the Vancouver Aquarium! However, my reason for the low rating is that every time I buy fish from them, they die within the first day I have them. I've checked my water and the quality should be fine. Their return policy only gives you 50% of what you paid back, which sucks when you only had the fish for a couple of hours. As well, they are pricier than other aquatic stores. Unfortunately I just don't feel good about buying fish from here anymore

Interior is not quite finished yet but there is already a huge selection of tropical and saltwater fish to choose from, even some I'd never heard of. Some tanks were a bit murky and some staff werent quite experts yet but all in all a great place for anybody interested in aquarium keeping.

We bought 3 guppies last week and surpised to find most of them had fin rot and plenty of dead ones at the bottom decomposed indicating how they've been laying there for a while. One of our guppies died 2 days later. Our 3rd is still hanging on for dear life in a hospital tank but fins were so delicate, it tore in half when we netted it to transfer into our tank. Sadly the 2nd one who always hung around beside his (3rd) tank, just died too. I swear, they knew each other. I have no idea how to respond to the owner but this isn't a false review. There was a lot of death and one of the tanks had a handful of dead fish floating at the top, same species as the ones swimming around. This was a recent visit.

Called store and Eric said ' No questions asked just bring the fishes we will give 50 %discount for new ones" When I actually brought two dead fishes, asked me many questions and telling me that I don't qualify to have fishes because I don't have pump and heater. forced me to buy big fish tank, pump and heater. He even says until buying all these, he is not giving me the fishes. I told him that I will buy all those from Craigslist. but he asked me to come back once I have it all. Treat me like little kid and embarrassed me in front of my kid. If you just buying something from them, no problem. but if you have to do exchange or refund. you will see how much Eric can be picky, bossy and rude.

This store is AMAZING. The display tanks are beautiful, they care about their fish, and the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I can literally spend hours just hanging out with their fish every time I go to buy something for my own tanks or reptile. The owner, Eric, is also a no-BS kinda guy and 100% will stand up to people who want to neglect or abuse their fish, which honestly makes this place so much better. And their bettas are either co-habbed with compatible fish or kept in decently sized display tanks, not cups! Its honestly amazing here, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. The outside of this store is very deceptive. It looks small and even when you walk in the front of the shop isn’t that big but don’t let that fool you. There is an entrance to the back which leads to a huge warehouse of fish tanks and an indoor pond. There is a second doorway in the back that leads to another large warehouse of fish tanks. They have tropical fish and salt water fish/coral as well as some fish that you may have seen in the Vancouver Aquarium’s tropical zone.

Came here today for the first time looking for a 10 gallon fish tank. Their website says they have a huge selection of aquariums. First thing I noticed they had maybe 20 fish aquariums. After walking around aimlessly, I was asked if I wanted to buy an aquarium or fish. My very words were I wanted to buy an aquarium today. The lady behind the cash register asked what kind and I told her a 10 gallon aquarium that was more vertical hight than horizontal; like a hexagon shaped one. She promptly said they don't have one like that which surprised me since their website says they have big selection. I drove all the way from Newton as well. She did not offer to look or suggest any other alternatives. I ended up leaving and drove 5 minutes down the road to Petsmart and described what I wanted. The girl there said they may not have it but offered to show me what else they have. I ended up finding a 20 gallon aquarium; bigger and more expensive than what i wanted. But she sold me on it and I ended up buying it. Now I will buy all my fish and tank decorations from there as well. The service at Fish Addicts was terrible and not helpful at all and cost them my business. Atleast try to pretend your trying to help, but they couldn't even be bothered to do that.

Going to Fish Addicts is like a trip to a public aquarium. You might want to be prepared to spend a fair bit of time there just looking. The variety of fish they have is beyond anything I could have imagined. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The store is organized and well managed. I found their prices slightly higher than our local pet stores (about a $1.00 higher per small tetra for example) but for me worth it because their fish are likely more healthy. Highly recommend even for the less serious aquarium owner.

I had called fish addicts to inquire about purchasing a few certain fish within the store. There was a misunderstanding that led me to driving the 4 hours to fish addicts and I found out on arrival that these fish were a part of a personal collection and not for sale. Not a great start, even though partly my fault for over the phone, but reason for 5 stars is everyone involved was very helpful and apologetic. They immediately figured out the misunderstanding and got ahold of the owner and having understood the situation they let me purchase one of the fish for what was actually a very fair price. I travel 8 hours round trip a few times a year to visit the store and with the customer service I've received after being unhappy for the first time I will definitely be continuing to go back.

They seem to do or say anything to make a quick buck even if that means giving bad advice, intentionally selling sick fish, or lying to get you in the store in the first place. This store is not new so there should be no excuses for their negligence. And whatever you do... DO NOT place any fish from this store directly into your display tank if you do fall for their gimmicks, PLEASE QUARANTINE! I could go on for awhile about all the horrible things I got to witness in this store on my few visits but I think google has a limit. You all at least deserve a warning before you decide to shop here.

I have to give these enthusiasts a lot of credit for setting up a shop that has a bit of everything. There are many dozens of tanks with a bit of something for everyone. Fresh and salt water. Also a giant pond that contains some monster fish which was cool to see. Also lots of hard goods and supplies. Well worth a visit for any fish addicts.

Walked around the store for 45 minutes and nobody offered to help. Salt water selection was little to none. We asked for help and the man that answered kept stocking shelves and did not help. The man in the back completely ignored us. I will never fo back..rude and nothing to buy

Fish Addicts is actually one of Langley's best hidden gems imo. Really impressive selection, displays that are inspiring and some really stunning fish. The staff here have been a really knowledgeable source for me getting back into the aquarium hobby. I haven't purchased many actual fish here, but I have come here a lot of the last year to pick up various supplies and ask a lot of questions. They have shared much of their expertise and passion about the hobby with me. They culture live micro-worms here for nano fish as well which saved my Galaxy Rasboras. I spoke to the owner over the phone and explained the problem I was having and that was what he suggested. Well, when I got to the store, the whole micro-worms thing were a lot grosser that I initially pictured. That said, the guy who helped me and demonstrated how to feed the live worms was so cool about it I felt like I could manage it lol. Within days, the fish I was most worried about improved drastically. I was so sad thinking I might have to euthanize. Looks like he is making a full recovery, swimming with his buddies. The whole school of fish looks a lot happier and healthier now thanks to the support I got. Won't go anywhere else now!

I recently moved to Langley and found out about Fish Addicts from an associate at the Langley Petsmart. They didn’t carry a item I needed for my tank and I was told to try here. I love this place! It reminds me of the Vancouver aquarium as they have an immense variety of fish and you could easily spend a few hours gazing at all the tanks. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and obviously love what they do. The store carries a large selection of aquarium accessories at prices that I found to be very competitive. Definitely the only place I will be going to from now on. A great place for fish enthusiasts!

Disgusting. Every fish for sale was almost dead, looks like their entire system is infected with multiple diseases. All the cichlids were pale in color with sunken in bellies and sittin on the bottom of the tanks. The selection for cichlids were mostly over priced females and a couple of disease riddled males. Their show tanks and predator pond are cool and nice to look at (on separate filtration systems) but not for sale. I would never put a fish from their waters into any of my tanks. Left the store feeling really bad for all the poor fish that have been sent their to die of diseases.

This place was amazing, I walked in to help a friend and thought it was a cute quaint little shop at first glance. As I was told I could go to the "fish room" I was astonished to see how large it actually was and not just fish in there but a bunch of stuff like lizards snails and are you ready for this.... BABY TORTOISE. If you yourself is a "fish addict" I urge you to go take a peek for yourself you will not be disappointed.

I recently visited this aquarium store all the way from Delta. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The person helping us did not know anything about the plants at all and had to keep asking the person up front. Took a look at the fish stocks and some of the fish were dead and on the bottom of the tank. I have been excited to visit the store for a while now and I can say that it was truly a letdown.

My first trip into this store. To be totally fair, it was the last day of their Boxing Day sale.The tanks were virtually empty, but the fish they did have were on the small side. They have a huge variety of fish, but were well picked over by the time I got there. Their plants weren’t in the best of shape, but there was an excellent variety. I will definitely return to this store with my debit card in hand prepared to purchase when they are restocked.

The best fish store have ever been to. The owner is very personable with everybody he meets. I had recently set up a new saltwater tank and he answers all my questions the same day. I hadn't been able to get my protein skimmer working and I gave it to him and he's helping me figure it out. He is not just trying to make a sale when you go in, he wants the best for you and your tank and will take the time to ensure this.

The best quality fish stock you can get! Lots of used equipment options at a GREAT price. The staff are the MOST knowledgeable through the entire lower mainland, hands down! The most cichlids, lots of salt water, and a couple of HUGE display tanks with some of the most beautiful fish in town. Totally worth the trip from Vancouver or Chilliwack! Update- Not ONLY does this place have the best selection of fish, but they have the best staff. Trevor is my go-to guy! If I have an issue, Trevor. Question, Trevor. He is always helpful and ensuring that everybody has knowledge about that they're buying. Hands down Fish Addicts wouldn't be what it is today if Trevor didnt work there.

We drove here all the way from Kelowna after hearing all the great things about this store and I was not disappointed! The selection is MASSIVE in both fish and plants, as well as decorations such as driftwood that's really hard to get a hold of in the okanagan. I went there specifically looking for a a fancy pleco and I left very happy with pleco in hand :) Friendly and knowledgable staff, totally worth the trip.

The store had an amazing selection and there was great service. They have 250 tanks set up now and when moving is complete there should be up to 600 including saltwater. This place got my boyfriend excited about freshwater fish which was a first. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.
