I have had a great experience at Blue World. I had set up a new 29 Gal Nano cube tank and purchased an expensive led lighting system that was recommended by the owner Clay, After just a few months I had problems with the led lighting. Clay was GREAT! I was in the store when Clay was on the phone with the wholesaler and he fought for me to get my lighting replaced. Being a small business owner I saw how hard Clay fought to get my led lights replaced. That was going over and above the call. They have an excellent attitude. They treat their customers with respect and very helpful to people who want to start their first salt water aquarium. Every time I go into the store Clay and Len are very helpful.. Both very well versed in salt aquariums. The pricing I have compared to big stores in Vancouver. Blue World is cheaper or price matching. I have seen them refuse to sell a certain fish to customers because that type was not compatible with the set up they are doing. Its not about the money.. Its about customer service and a fair pricing on everything they sell. I am happy to tell people about Blue World Aquariums. These guys wont steer you wrong. I have always been extremely happy to go into the store. They help you as much as they can and do NOT steer you wrong. I have no problem giving Clay and Len 5 stars.. easy to talk to and happy to teach everyone about how to take care of a salt water reef tank.

I knew Andrew before he began new ownership of the store and had the opportunity to also meet his lovely wife. The store has greatly improved with new ownership! Very lovely and helpful family. Love that corals from FragGarage (Adam) are also featured in the store. Hes got an amazing variety and incredibly knowledgeable guy. The fish Ive received from them have been happy, I love my tank bred Banghai Cards. Highly recommend supporting this LFS (Local fish store)

Very poor grand opening. Half the tanks in the store were empty of water, and the tanks that did contain water were empty of fish and livestock. How do you have a grand opening for a new fish store with no fish?! Also the payment systems were down so couldn't purchase anything unless you had cash (which no one carries these days). They should have waited another month to stock the tanks, as you only get one shot at first impressions. Just hope that they maintain the ability to order livestock, of your own choosing, from Quality Marine as the previous owner had. Otherwise this place will fade quickly.

Finally a local saltwater store in Victoria that cares about the health of their fish and coral, plus the cleanliness of their tanks again. Prices are good, and the new ownership is the best I've seen in a long time. Always willing to help out when and where they can. Partnering with Frag Garage for his coral experience and knowledge was a very good idea as well.
