So I ordered the 10 piece haddock and fries. The fish is greasy but delicious! The fries were good as well, very good dinner. The gravy is like jelly, but still good. The coleslaw is amazing! I usually don't like the coleslaw places have, but this was made very good. They also have homemade tartar sauce which is good because I dont like those packaged ones. Overall me and my kids enjoyed the meal and would definitely order again.

I had really high hopes for this place reading all the great reviews and I’ve been craving fish and chips. We ordered online at 6:54 and put that we would be paying by card at the door, 7:47 it still hasn’t arrived, so I called just to get an update because I saw they closed at 8 which made me think did our order actually go through… The lady on the phone said it was on its way. 15 minutes later it shows up, I have my card in hand ready to pay when the delivery guy says no it’s cash. I specified that I put on the online order I was paying by card and he insisted no you’re paying cash. I said well I don’t have any so idk what you want me to do. So I called the restaurant the lady asked me to put him on the phone. After the whole mix up he took my payment. (Not sure if this is an in-house delivery or they outsource it) Now I’m ready to dive in to some great fish and chips… well they were good but not great. Fish and chips were extremely soggy, the chips were still surprisingly good. The fish was extremely greasy. The gravy tasted just like New York fries gravy which was great. I hope to order again and experience the tasty food that everyone raves about, but for now I can’t say I was thoroughly impressed.

Great little place - went with a group of 6 - just a heads up their tables do not move so the biggest table they have is for 4. Not the end of the world as we sat 4 and then 2 at a table across the aisle. It’s a very small little place with only a handful of tables. You could tell the people in there were regulars as they were chatting to the staff. Everyone was very friendly. Our group ordered the fish & chips, I had clams & chips & my husband (not a fish person) had chicken fingers & chips. My clams were great, it was a good sized serving of clam strips. Everyone else enjoyed their fish, also good sized servings. The chicken fingers were a little small (to be fair it’s not really what they’re known for). Service was quick. We were there on a Saturday night around 6 and there was no wait for tables considering how small the place is. I only gave it a four star as the carpeted floors were quite sticky with grease. The decor is what you’d expect for a little hole in the wall, dated & kitschy but cute. Overall I’d go again, sticky floors or not - those clam strips were delish!!

Chose this place because the reviews looked great. Honestly, greasiest food I’ve ever eaten in my life. 1 piece of fish soaked 7 napkins. Fish was chewy, fries were dark & dripping in fish grease as well. Food looked nothing like the photos posted here. I’ve never left a Google review before but this was SO BAD that I had to.. Go anywhere else..

Excellent prices for good fish and hand cut fries. Yummy battered mushrooms too. The calamari is breaded and is just okay. Everything is a little on the greasy side and our fries were a little under-done, but for the great price, this was a very recommendable place. I think it would be even better to eat-in to avoid everything getting a bit mushy from the steam in the takeout containers. If you're hungry for a deep friend treat, this is your place! Just ask for your fries to be well done.

Stumbled upon this place for fish and chips when I was visiting Paris and Brantford. Amazing takeout experience. Food was absolutely great, lightly battered crispy halibut and fresh cut potato chips. Still crispy even when I ate it like 15min later and I even poured malt vinegar on it!

I’m a huge believer in supporting local business. With these unorthodox times going into a third lockdown because of Covid-19 we ended up getting a couple of fish and chip dinners from this place. It truly delivers on flavour. I have to laugh when o read the reviews and they say “it’s greasy” HELLO!!!! FISH AND CHIPS ARE FRIED! You don’t want greasy go to PitaPit. These guys were great very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us. And given the light of the circumstances that are out of their control due to Covid I’d say that they did an amazing job! I give them 5 stars!

My fiancee and I are new to Brantford and we wanted to have some Fish and Chips. We passed this place many times and we always wanted to go here. Once we came in we were welcomed by the polite workers and they was very pleasant to talk to. I had the Cod and Haddock they were amazing! Please check out this place!

Quaint little Shop. But the food was quick fresh and verrrry delicious! Waited maybe 10 15 minutes tops. Had a good selection of fish. I got the halibut and it was very generous portions. And PIPING hot. Batter wasn't overly heavy either! Great place to stop of you're in town.

The fish tasted like it was soak in grease all day..the fries were burnt n we got the ends..waitress looked like she didn't want to be there.. when we were getting up to pay for our awful meals ..the dang waitress had the big bowl of Cole slaw left wide open on the counter..that was gross..they use to have the best fish n chips around..but have to say the opposite...lost our business!

The halibut was very good the Cole slaw was very good and the tartar sauce was to die for they need to work on the fries though, the place Is clean and cozy, maybe on my next visit I will try a different dish and hopefully I can bump them up to a 4star rating.

The fish was really good, not greasy that I can’t eat more than a few bites but rather quite delicious. Had an awful customer experience at another fish a chip place called Maria’s earlier in the evening and attempted to give this place a try. I’m not sure what the waitresses name was but she was busy, it was a full house with takeout orders coming through and she still managed to be polite, kind, and improve my overall takeout experience tonight. I would highly recommend, and thank you to the waitress, I didn’t have to wait, she was quick and very kind.

I have never eaten there before we felt like some fish and chips and this is the place I went with. I am happy I did. It was very good. We got the haddock family meal for 2 adults and 3 kids and it fed us all. I wouldn't count on it every time but we got a few extra pieces of fish too. And the price was right. And it didn't take long from the time I order to when it was ready. We did pick up. The lady who was at the counter was very friendly. We will definitely order from them again.

My sister ordered 2 two-piece haddock meals for our dinner, substituted onion rings instead of fries for an extra $1.50 each, and then ordered two sides of fries. The fish pieces were underwhelming in size. She asked for extra tartar sauce, and received 4 small condiment sized tartar packages. I’m not sure if they regularly send only 1 package for each two-piece meal, or if they send 2 packages for each two-piece meal and they just didn’t include the extra tartar sauce. There were 5 onion rings in one meal, and 3 in the other. The onion rings were greasy and soggy, and salting them and setting them out didn’t crisp them up. I needed to wipe my hands after each bite of onion ring. They were edible, but not enjoyable. It seems rather expensive to pay a total of $3 to upgrade 2 meals to onion rings, and then receive only 8 onion rings total for both meals combined. The fries were fine, although soft and not crispy. The cost for what was received, in addition to what was mentioned above, will keep her from ever ordering from them again. She heard about them by word of mouth, and she’ll be mentioning this disappointing experience to the person who originally mentioned them to her. There are much better options in Brantford for fish and chips. Edit: we found the extra tartar sauces in the folds of the bag. I felt something inside as I was preparing to discard the bag. We didn’t like the taste of the tartar sauce, but since it’s a mass produced item, I considered that a personal preference.

It was so good that we went back a week later. The specials are very reasonable and the large plate of fries is extremely large. We ordered the 1 double fish dinner and a large plate of fries and it was plenty enough for two adults. The restaurant is in a small plaza but don't let that fool you. It is worth the drive to Brantford especially if you are taking in some of the sites.

Dont bother calling as they dont bother answering there phone for the customers. Called 4 time withing 20 minutes and just never answers. Not to mention no answering service. Also for how small the dine in area is you figure they would answer for pickup orders. Very disappointed I guess I'll be eating elsewhere from now on. I'll also pass word on to my friends

Dont order takeout from this place. I called in my order and the lady probably cut me off 3 times during me ordering. I ended up paying 34$ for two orders of fish and ships and the delivery guy, charged me 6 dollars which seemed to be his own rate he made up. So just over 40$ for two orders of fish and ships. I pass the guy a 50 and i ask him for change, he hands me a 5$ bill and says thats all hes got Lmao. and shows me like 2$ worth of quarters he brought along, really?. What a frieking shtshow. never have i ever had a man finesse me for a tip like that before. Get your frieking business in order

Due to a family sickness, two fish and chip dinners were ordered and picked up. Haddock and chips were ordered this visit. The meals were found to be extremely good. The taste of the meal was very good. Our server, Robin was very friendly and helpful in the ordering of our meals. We will be back again. Been coming here for years! Always great service and consistently excellent food served very quickly. Can't go wrong here!

Last Friday evening we decided to order fish and chips at your restaurant. The order was called in and I was told that the order would be ready in 25 minutes. Travelling from Waterford, I allowed travel time to arrive. I ordered 2 Halibut dinners, each 8.95, according to your website and menu. I waiting 20 minutes in the restaurant for my order to be done and was entertained by a staff member talking about her personal experience at a bar. When I finally got home, I received no condiments at all and the I was charged 42.95! Unfortunately, I did not notice this until I travelled back home and was not about to go back into Brantford. I gave this girl a $5.00 cash tip as well which was a mistake, I am now thinking. I have contacted them 3 times but no response. Rip off!
