Not a fan of putting bad reviews on anyone business, however, our experience was nothing less than Disappointing. Ordered in for a date night, thought we'd try Joey's. NEVER AGAIN. Food portion was disgusting for the money paid & our food delivered cold. When we called the store to let the manager know, though she was not rude, we were met with basically an "it is what it is" attitude. Definitely NOT money well spent.

placed and order it was $80 and the order was the family meal 3 orders of the popcorn shrimp again 3 not only was the food late by a half hour but we only got 1 order of shrimp so we called they claim that all 3 where there (witch again there was only 1) and on top of that they hung up the phone on us all 3 times we called you can not tell me that all 3 orders fit in that tiny little box cause thats saying that you only get 4 pieces of shrimp. ive worked with customers before and i understand they sometimes make you mad but you dont hang up on them thats very unprofessional if i was the manager (witch ill be calling to talk to tomorrow) that girl would be fired! im never ordering from there again. oh did i mention it was $80 plus we gave the driver a tip (picture below is what they claim is 3 orders of popcorn shrimp)

Great food and service. Not bad of pricing but you do get quite a bit. I like the way they do their garlic toasts. It's different than any other place I've eaten at that serves garlic toasts. They grill their toasts, and then put garlic butter and some kind of herb on them. The taste would be similar to some kind of burger, which is pretty unique.

Having just moved to Brantford, I'm trying out some of the eateries to see what my new favourites may be. For fish and chips I'd say Joey's is the one. Good sized pieces of fish, chips not soggy or greasy and good service.

I went with my wife and daughter. Not a happy experience. Overpriced Cod on the specialty day just fries and Cod all you can eat $22. Not special and you don't want more than the 3 pieces they serve. Not recommended there are better and still cheaper places in Brantford

First time dining at Joey's my partner and I ordered fish and chips with coleslaw to be honest I was disheartened the chips where your cheap bulk frozen type and the fish..well what can I say minute and being an Englishman they can do better there's a saying in the UK as cheap as chips another words buy real spuds mate and a crisp up your batter and you'll do good????

I was craving fish & chips!! I ordered a piece of halibut and chips. When I opened the box to eat my fish, I found what looked like a lightly battered minnow!! The piece of fish was about 3 inches long and 2 inches wide!! The batter was gooey and falling off. The grease was pooling in the bottom of the box!! It was disgusting to say the least!! $16 for a minnow and chips!! I WON'T be going back!! Very disappointing!!

The takeout menu was very misleading. I purchased 4 halibut dinners where fish is measured in 1/4; 1/2 & 3/4 pound prices. Fish at 1/4 wasn't bigger then a very small human palm size just under $20 per meal. The fish was so small and the French fries where the only large portion. 4 very disappointed customers to never return again. If I could rate less then a star I would.

We drive from Kitchener to. Joey's in Brantford because they are so amazing! Customer service is top notch! My husband and I wanted a nice fish and chip dinner so we went to Joey's and for $32.00 we got more fries then fish very sad looking dish. We had gone there before but has been quite some time ago and the fish portions we much larger then. We will not return especially when for the same amount of money we can get a platter to share with two large pcs of haddock 3 nice size deep fried shrimp 3 large scallops fries and coleslaw from another restaurant in Brantford. My spouse and I just had lunch today at Joeys and I was pleasantly surprised as to how tasty my meal was. Had the haddock and my spouse had the 2pc pollock..Our fries were crispy and our fish was cooked beautifully..It arrived to our table promptly and our server was very friendly and attentive.. First time trying out Joey's was pleasantly surprised. Our fish and chip dinner turned out nice and crispy without any oily-greasy mess that sometimes can accompany this type of meal. Absolutely horrible. Waitress stood behind d counter texting on her phone . Would never recommend to anyone. The whole restaurant was empty except us and service was terrible. Food was okay but have had better. Celery toast was burnt. Perch had bones in it and wasn't quite cooked could taste raw batter. Waitress started to take dishes away when weren't finished eating. No tip given and no tip deserved.

Haven’t been to Joey’s in many years but used to come here once a month. We were looking forward to a good fish dinner like we used to get here. We were seated quickly but waited a very long time for our food. Previous reviews say it was all chips and no fish, we barely got either. Fish was thin and all batter, we didn’t even get enough chips to cover the bottom of the plate. And when the food finally arrived, we had to raid other tables for cutlery and condiments because no one came back to see if we had what we needed. Sadly disappointed at how badly the place has gone downhill. We would give no stars if it was possible. We will never go back there again.

Staff is knowledge about menu, pricing and can offer a better selection. If this virus thing wasn't happening we would be there more often. They were loaded up neatly and generously with toppings. (No pic of tacos i ate them too fast haha) chocolate cream pie was the best ive ever had - homemade crust was great! My wife and I went to Joey's on Tue the 25 of September we both ordered halibut one piece dinners I received app 18 fries and yes I counted them along with a piece of halibut that measured 3/4×2 1/2×4 in that was over cooked my wife had 3 more fries and about a 1/2 in more fish and could not eaven get a refill on our pop the bill was 54.00 possibly the worst we ever had and when I told the lady at the cash she really didn't care won't be back to this on

Walked in, was seated, reviewed menu. Our waitress was very nice and polite. It appeared as though the manager (not sure her position) was seated at a booth with another woman. Even on a break you NEVER sit in the dining room (customers can't tell if you're on break or lazy). The manager started speaking to our server in a very rude and demeaning tone, from her comfortable seated position, for a number of different reasons, while our server was busy running the dining room on her own. We were so uncomfortable we had to explain to the server that we were leaving because of the way in which she was being spoken to. There was no excuse to speak to an employee in that manor. Especially in front of patrons trying to have a pleasant experience. NEVER again will we return. Thank you to our server and we hope you find employment with a company that will treat you with respect.

We visited again on Aug 8/2020 and Karen was our server. She was awsome!! She made all of us feel comfortable and feel at home even during this covid time.
