Most times the steak is really good but can be a bit overpriced for what you get. Service is always good and attentive. However if you don't like steak I feel the menu won't appeal to many as their other options are slim and not creative almost bordering on boring. Their selection of apps, besides their calamari, is lacking.

We did have an issue with the preparation of one of our salads but the staff were apologetic and made it right. Would like to see better value overall as the bill even without alcohol was more than we have paid at other steak houses with drinks included.

Traveling from the US and wanted to check out some restaurants here. We all loved our meals and the waitress was attentive despite being busy. It is very pricey, be prepared to drop 200 easy if there's a couple of you eating together. For my taste, it was a little too dark in there... was hard to even see my plate.

Came here on Valentine's Day for my 30th birthday. These guys are the only restaurant that didn't turn down my reservation request, unlike other local businesses. I ordered the prime rib. It was absolutely succulent. Juicy. Cooked perfectly... I was very happy. I also had a glass of wine, but curse this 30 year old brain, I forgot what kind. The server came by at the end of the meal with some cake and he sang happy birthday to me. It was a very positive experience. I look forward to coming back.

Friend made a reservation for 6 to 8 people. We got seated at a table for 6. They would not move us and refused our friends to enter at the door. Unreal the poor service when a reservation was made. This is my second time with poor service. Waiter was excellent, front end staff was ignorant. Unfortunate as the Keg anywhere else has fantastic service.

Drove from Edmonton and decided to stop in at this Keg since it's one of our favourite restaurants back home. We placed our order and a few minutes later my husband was told the 6oz steak and king crab wasn't available. They only had 8oz, which my husband couldn't possibly eat, but they insisted we pay extra for!! I suggested they give him the 8oz for the 6oz price but they refused. Apparently they'd been out of the 6oz for days! I suggested they just cut 2oz off the larger steak but they refused that too. I ran out of ideas and no matter what, they wanted us to pay the extra cost for their lack of preparedness. After running out of suggestions, and seeing me begin to provide a rating, did they finally budge and offered to give us a free Pepsi to make up for the difference they were going to charge us for the extra steak that we didn't want or ask for!! This would have never happened at our home location. Good wasn't bad and service just average. But the nonsense with the overcharging gives this visit one star!

There was a large group of us. I had the baseball, they said medium rare was maximum they could cook it, it came out medium well or more. Service was good, but it was very warm in the reasturant and the waiter said it was hard to air condition a wooden building. Sounded like a BS story.

Went here for dinner tonight with my boyfriend to celebrate our two years together, the staff was great, very friendly and our server was awesome. The place was very clean and beautiful. We got the mushrooms neptune to start which was AMAZING, then we each had a steak dinner. The steak was delicious. We even got a free dessert from them to help us celebrate! That was the best cheesecake I've ever had! Awesome place to go for a fancy night out! It is a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for in my opinion! Will definitely go again :)

Had the roast prime rib. We got off to a bad start with a tuna tartare for an Appy at $17? It was warm tuna chunks in a sweet sauce on top of avocado. I tried a bite and then just ate the avocado. Waiter took the plate with no comment. Ahh the rib eye was not a prime graded cut. Marbling was not there. It never had a bone in it The cut was dry and appeared to be cut from an outside round. No fat cover, no grains of fat like is found on a real ribeye roast Server was fixated on serving booze rather than 3 teetotalers

Steaks are always delicious, highly recommend trying out the baseball version of the top sirloin if you usually get the normal sirloin. I always make reservations online on the app and have no problem with wait times or anything. Parking lot does suck but there is always the road or places nearby. Would love to see some kind of rewards program like scene since their now owned by Recipe Unlimited. At the end of the day, great place for a slightly high priced delicious meal.

Extremely great experience, food was good was not really my kinda taste but it was nice clean "top shelf food", I suspect that what made the food so Great was the hospitallity, the customer service was off the meter. Especially the manager, he was about working the floor and engaging it felt natural. then the environment was pretty 1st class Kudos to these guys the really nailed it. For the fellas looking to nail that great date I say give this place a shot you wont regret it! I will be going back there for sure! Keep up the good work guys, alot went into this place!

Ordered the sirloin Oscar to go. got back to hotel and there was no bernaise sauce so I called back and they made me a new order and this is was I got. My poor fork couldn't hack it!! My fiance took me out to celebrate my new job promotion, haven't been to yhe keg in years and unfortunately was underwhelmed. Service was GREAT! We got baked roma tomatos to start they were delicious but more satisfying then my our main dishes. I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna & it was way over done like they cooked they like a medium done stake rare (basically bleeding & lightly seared). My fiance order baked chicken with garlic mash, everything was way too sweet & he had to put copious amounts of both salt and pepper all over his dish. Potatos were clearly russett & hadnt been washed properly causing a continuous taste of soil throughout his meal. Our drinks, appitizer and service definitely made up for it. We still had an okay time but its the kind of experience/food i wouldnt want to pay for again, unless someone else is paying for it haha.

We were turned away at the Keg today for being unable to show identification to prove my partner George and I live together, though it clearly states in Para 6(3) of the MB Public Health Act that a declaration can be signed instead. We were asked for ID without being given a reason when we could have easily been asked (at least first) if we resided together. There is also an article in the Winnipeg Sun which states that the health order for requesting IDs had been reversed which I clearly stated to the manager, even offering to show him the piece, who promptly told me that he did not take the Winnipeg Sun into consideration. I feel discriminated against and will be pursuing this as a human rights infraction. Or at least as an attempt to get them to pay for the Burger King we opted for instead ????????☺️

One of the best resutuants in brandon. Consistant high quality food and drinks, food always prepared perfectly and never have any problems. The parking can be a bit of a pain in the ass but that is a minor issue. Staff is always very friendly and provide excellent service. Free deserts on special occasions. Amazing! They seated us even tho we did not have a reservation...... oh no! we had to sit on the patio, such a shame... beautiful evening, fantastic food and cold drinks! What more could I have asked for!

Never have been a big fan of the Keg in the past(I was a picky eater when I was younger, and wasn't into going to a fancy place). But went there recently and I must say the food is amazing as well as the service is great. Will definitely be going back in the future

When we are traveling we try and find good local places and stay away from chains. We had seen many of these Keg restaurants as we've traveled around Canada and decided to give the one in Brandon a try. It was quite good. We each had a Casual Plate. My wife had the Crab Cakes and I had the Butcher's Cut. Both excellent and just the right amount after traveling all day. Our waitress was great. Would not hesitate to try another Keg. Highly recommended.

I wanted to get my in laws a New Years gift. I knew they were going there for dinner and I am in Winnipeg. They could not take a credit card over the phone but Chad who was the manager ( and I see why!) came up with a solution to my dilemma. He walked me through and I emailed the gift certificate to his Keg location and it was on my in laws table within ten minutes! Other restaurants need to learn from this guy when it comes to customer service and going from Good to Great! I knew they were super busy but he took the time and returned my call promptly ... Cudos to you Chad as your company should be proud of what a great thing you did for myself in helping me treat my in -laws from Dauphin down there for dinner! I think people should tell Chad he done a good thing!!!( and head office needs to reward this man )

Came on a busy night before a Wheaties game. An hour wait for a table but bar seating was available. We decided to go for it and glad we did. Great service and conversation from the bartenders. We will be back for sure ????

We have had bad meals 4 out of the last 5 times that we have been there this summer and that is not like the Keg at all. We have been going there for 30 years and I’m not sure what has happened recently but it’s not good. To top it off our waitress couldn’t care less about having to send our steaks back. My medium steak was raw and came back half the size well done......

Walked in at 8:53 pm on a Monday night. Hostess said they don’t take walk-ins past 8:40 pm and would not seat us even though they were open until 10:00. It does not say that anywhere on the website or we would have called ahead or made sure to be there 13 minutes sooner. We were a twosome and the place was empty. Asked for an exception as it was my birthday and she still said no. Way to go over and above!

Both steaks were overcooked one was burnt. Zero flavor. Hardly any sauce. The shrimp and scallops seemed boiled, no color or flavor. Broccoli was undercooked so much I would consider it raw. Drink was to spicy when ask it not to be. Tables were to close for COVID19 restrictions. Seating was horrible. Waiter was never to be found when needed. For how we received our food the price was extreme. I have ate there numerous times and never had a complaint and my meals have been great. Maybe this night was an off night for them.

This is the best place to eat in Brandon hands down no one comes close on service or quality. Just ate here again jan 25th 2021 was perfect, food brought right to the vehicle to take home if you haven't had the kegs take away get on it!!

My family weng out for a meal last weekend and was thoroughly disappointed. Firstly we had a table booked for 7pm and had to wait 40 mins. We all ordered steak for our meal. Not one of us enjoyed the meat. My steak espy was overdone and defo not what I asked for. I found the lightning very dark and not appealing at all Will not be back Thanks Lynne
