My Mom has been taking her dogs to the groomer for years! NEVER a problem, she always had complements on her well behaved poodles from the groomer! I been taking my Husky to get furminted and groomed for 4 years. (which comes to $100) I guess my mom had called her dog snarly and the lady took it very wrong. To the point she refused to groom the poodle. LMAO SHE's SCARED OF A POODLE!! She said this is their new policy can't serve snarly dogs. THIS DOG is harmless LOL. They have been grooming these 2 friendly poodles for 9 years!!! so my mom said if your not going to do both then bye. never had a problem before. I will no longer be bringing my friendly husky to get furminated there ever again, pet smart is not smart at all. GOOD JOB ON YOUR NEW POLICY. They also cage the animals to long, unorganized at setting appointments. They also don't treat the animals right.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, they even offered to take my bags to the car for me. However I was there for the grand opening along with everyone else at 8:30 AM waiting for it to open for 9. There was a promise of the first 50 people who showed up get $25 gift cards. The manager came out at about 8:50 and told us they gave them all out at 7am. It wasnt fair. They should of handed them out when the doors opened. Meanwhile everyone who stood outside freezing with there pets for 30 minutes was all for nothing. I contacted petsmart and they also wouldn't honor anything so just bare this in mind the next time petsmart offers any gift cards or anything.

The only good thing about this place would be sent of the prices. Staff knows next to nothing about animals, don't seperate their pets by sex so there's a good chance you're going home with something pregnant, the condition of the Bettas is disgusting and when a dead or sick one is reported the response is "it's just a fish", they attempted to tell someone looking for diabetic dog food alternatives that the protein percentage doesn't matter (which it is one of the most important factors) and when I asked if I could hold one of the small animals to see how well handled it was, I got an eye roll and she said "I'll get a manager to help you" and after 20 mins of waiting I just left. Im glad they have an online shopping option now so I don't have to deal with the Brantford location again. Very disappointed.

We rescued a kitten from the SPCA, started her on Nutrience Sub Zero Cat Food. Always got it for $27.99. She is a year and a half old now, and going to get her food at Pet Smart the last 3 months, it has gone up $10.00 and every month we go the food is expired within that month, yes it maybe discounted, but it is not good and I won't feed my furbaby expired food. I wouldn't feed my baby expired food either :( I have personally written and contacted this company, with no reply :(

A nice pet friendly spot to grab your furry friends some treats and supplies. Recommend signing up for the Treats loyalty program (free) as it can save you quite a bit on regular prices if you are a regular shopper. As with most pet items anywhere, things at PetSmart priced at a premium for what you get, but they are still competitive with what you would likely see on Amazon.

I am very unhappy with the service we had in the grooming section. I called ahead of time knowing they can be busy to book a nail trim appointment. They said I just had to come in, so I made sure if I came in the next 20 min that would be ok. They said that is perfectly fine. When we got there they were so disorganized. They were rushing through grooming other dogs by making comments like "can you finish him because I have to start the other one who's owner is here to get him and we haven't started". Followed by a rushed brush and so on. My small dog did great with the trimming, both my dogs always do, yet the girl missed 4 nails all together and many others were barley done. They had to re-do his. My larger dog has NEVER had issues with the groomer. Always sits well, fights a bit but hardly. We are always in and out quick with even having two dogs. That is not the case. The same girl who missed my first dogs nails stressed my dog out so much not knowing what she was doing, my dog sensed it, that two others had to do it. I was ok with it and left the room because she is more calm then. I watched from afar, one was VERY aggressive with my dog, not something you would want to see at all. I get that they need to be to make it easier BUT this was not like that. I had to stop them, tell them not to worry, she is never like this. They told ME to come back when it wasn't so busy so she wasn't so stressed....again why I called in the first place. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE. Even for the basics of trimming. I have taken y dogs to other locations, have not loved it BUT it wasn't like this. I am very unhappy with the multiple people working this evening and how the situation was handled.

I wish I read grooming salons reviews before hand. I am astounded at the Manager of grooming, she is rude and seriously lacking professionalism and customer care service .... even though they perch, “it’s all about customer care”. Not impressed at all. The grooming salon manager she lacks customer service training big time... I forgot my updated vaccine document at home for one of my dogs and when I got there she said it was required. I said oh I left it on the desk I’m close less than 10 minutes I will run and get it… The manager said… NO your appointment is canceled!!!! I said I’ll be less than 10 max she said NO we are booked for time, my mouth fell opened there was no other dogs in there at the time I even was early for my appointment…Is she kidding…I had no choice but to book my second dog next day which was really an inconvenience for me… So next day I was running a few minutes late, the manager from yesterday called me and said my appointment is canceled!!!! No customer consideration whatsoever for customers I bet I could have been only 1 minute late and she still would have canceled as well…. I used to like PetSmart until I came to this location. Seems like it all about money money money and it’s all about how many pets they can squeeze into one day. The rest of the staff was especially Mandy whom now moved on….was wonderful...but I understand why now she left. I understand about policy but considering no other dogs were in there at the time of my first apt and I was even early.. This manager is being rude. This place is a total money grab. And totally unprofessional in my book. I have 4 dogs they did not loose 1 customer but 4!!!!!!!

Great experience tonight at our local PetSmart. Looking for a dog harness and the employee was extremely helpful and also explained their company’s return policy clearly and concisely. Totally eliminated our concerns about purchasing and potentially not having the product work the way we want. Thank you, we will definitely be returning!!!

Overall the shelves and everything was nicely organized but there were beta fish in tiny CUPS on the SHELVES on sale. Understandably beta fish have to be kept separate from each other in order not to kill one another, but keeping them in tiny cups they can barely move in is something I cannot support. *If you don't have the space for fish in decent sized tanks; DON'T SELL THEM.* I will not be supporting PetSmart, and I hope other's will do the same.

New Client to Grooming - booked an appointment over the phone for 4:30 the lady took my information as well as my pups birthdate. When I arrived they notified me that 1) my appointment wasnt entered into the system they questioned if I had called the Brantford site and I checked and it was in fact the Brantford site I had called 2) my pup had to be 8 weeks old (he's 7.4 weeks) 3) they don't take puppys under 8 weeks old at all and 4) they need his rabies vaccination papers in order for him to go in. Waste of my time.

The staff in this store were extremely friendly. The associate at the cash ensured we knew the process to engrave a dog tag and checked on us after to ensure we were satisfied. When we asked if a toy would be safe for our new German Shepherd puppy, however, (since they chew a ton), we got a roundabout response. I would have rather the employee just admit they did not know. Prices are definitely fair and affordable with a wide variety of unique product to choose from. Some of the shelves of the products we were looking for however were bare, but I would fault COVID for shipping delays.

I can not say enough good about this stroe. I used to go there every day until we moved futher away. The sttaff were always eager to talk to me and never rushed me or brushed me off to go do something. One day I went in and they were helping a senior with a rather large limp you could tell her left side had proplems. I’m no doc buy my best guess would be stroke left sided hemiplegia. (not a doc just making a guess what it could be l) Anyhow they treated him with the same kindness even pushing the cart to the car and hekp load in stuff. pushed her cart ad help her out. After the senior paid for all her goodinFriendly staff, sweet staff actaull for lack of better word. . When you walk into that store its like you belong there and everyones your friend. Great grooming services! Awesome, friendly, great with our dogs! We wouldn’t take them anywhere else. Each time we have had our dogs in for nails, we have been very satisfied. Today they both had baths which included nail trims and again we had great service from the professional groomers here.

We were recently in stores to shop for some items and the staff was quite friendly and helpful in pointing us in the right direction and giving good recommendations. However, most likely due to covid, they no longer give dog treats at the register, which highly disappointed our dog. A different pet store (off of market st) still gives out dog treats. Another time we did curbside pickup. The process was pretty straight forward and quick. However, we were not pleased to receive less than the amount of live mealworms we had ordered and plus 1/3 of them were not alive. Don't recommend getting mealworms here.

I have a shitzu that has been groomed at this location for four years. The girl we had always did a great job but unfortunately she moved on. Grooming told me I can no longer book regular appt. they have to be express service which costs more, but at my last appt. when my dog was picked up they said he was a good boy there were no problems. This place is a total money grab. Do your dog a favour and book with professionals.

I'm always very pleased by the amount of products they have. Everything is nicely laid out and well organized which is extremely pleasing to me! Whatever I may need, it's always easy to find from cat food, toys (so many adorable ones!!), and treats to rodent housing, food, and all things reptile! You need it, they'll most likely have it! The prices are reasonable as well. You can sign up for their program and earn rewards plus save. money on many different items. My go-to pet store!

It's a good place with friendly staff. I don't like that they sell teddy bear hamsters but not the proper cage for them. Ours out grew the recommended cage and wheel within 2 months. I had to resort to kijiji to buy the right cage. Ancaster petsmart does sell the right cage but not enough accessories and tunnels for it.

We use the grooming service for our Golden Retriver mix. We now have a regular groomer (Kari) who has seen our girl since she was a puppy, and she is AMAZING. She gives our girl the most incredible groom, and leaves her personal messages for appointments- they even exchange Christmas gifts. All of the other girls are just as great, and we are always welcomed with open arms by everyone. The store itself is always stocked, clean, and have good deals. We especially love that every season they come out with different lines of treats/clothing. I would highly recommend this location to anyone (and have!).

When will google give less than 1 star I got feeder fish for my African butterfly as we can only get my parents cat liter from this store and did not want to drive around town. NOT ONLY did i have to wait 30 minutes for someone to come get the things ( i was about to get them myself as i worked at a pet store that use to sell fish) she had no idea what the hell she was doing not only that but she counted wrong i wanted 24 she gave me 15 and put 24 on the bag so my dad made her go put more in the bag and it gets better the chick does not know how to tie a gd bag half way home i notice the bag felt weird YUP no water and my fish are dying because this dummy cant tie a bag properly good thing i was around the corner from my house and threw them into my tank never going there for fish ever again the staff all suck they dont look after their animals im surprised this place is still in business.

I’ve had trouble in the past trying to find a place who will treat my 9 year old female Rottweiler nicely. They are great with her. She can be bit of a hassle, as she doesn’t like me leaving her and doesn’t like her toes being touched. Nail trims are rough! This crew will take great care of your pup, regardless of the bread. Had an appointment to get my dog groomed. When the groomer came out, right away I got a bad vibe from her.She would not look at me and was acting like she didn't want to be there. When she got down to take a look at my (little malshi) dog i didn't like the way she was interacting with him. She told me she was going to shave his hair right off because of one little tangle in the hair on his ear. She said she'd get me a brush so I could brush it out, but by then I had had enough of her rudeness and took my dog and left. If that's how she acted with me there, I can't even imagine how she would have treated my dog when I left.

This PetSmart is brutal. Do yourself a favour and use another grooming service. It’s been twice now where i have booked my dog for a full groom (bathing, brush, clipping, teeth and paws) and they booked him for only a bath and said they can’t do the other stuff because the groomers are booked. The grooming staff horrible and untrained. Take your dog to an actual grooming service rather than giving petsmart more money.

If I could rate a lower rating I would, my sister has a learning disability and went for her first interview. It took a lot of courage for her to go to the interview. She went early to the interview, dressed to impress and brought pictures of the grooming she has done. I think this came down to discrimination and it's unacceptable. Wouldn't give her a straight answer and promised to call her multiple times and never did. She also went in a few times just so she wouldn't be pushed aside.

Ordered dog food for my daughter online. Was sent an email when ready to pick up, which was less than 24 hours later. Picked up curbside. Very easy to do. They were fast, friendly and efficient

I was there getting puppy food, saw 2 store employee and neither one asked if they could help, or even say "HI" !!! Items put on wrong hangers so thinking you are getting the sale item and than you pay full price!! Just all in all,,, not a friendly store!!!

The store is very clean, the staff help out with any questions I've had. And the selection is great. My doggie just loves coming in to this store. I have never used the grooming services so I can't comment on them.

Your store hours on google are wrong, even though it says they were updated 1 week ago. I came in from out of town to be at the store for 6:30 to get my brand new puppies food only to find out the hours on google are wrong and the store doesn't actually close at 7 on Sundays like google says, it closes at 6. Someone should really update that. I suggested an edit to speed things up.

The store always seems to operate with too little staff. Long wait times if you need crickets or have questions. Some staff is friendly but the lady this morning was rude. Told Me Not to Come until 9 a.m. next time because there would be nobody here to check me out. Unfortunately she seems to have forgotten about the time change last weekend because it was 9 a.m. Insisted that it was currently 8 a.m.... It is not uncommon to have these kinds of bizarre experiences at this store.

I spend a lot of money at Pet Smart and have had absolutely great service. I had an appointment for my Aoife German Shepard to have a bath and brush. I waited 2 months for this appointment and no one told me that the dog could not be muzzled. Now normally I would not have to muzzle her but she was barking at a pup in the parking lot so I put the muzzle on her so she wouldn't scare the pup and owners. She was very good about and came to greet and pet Aoife. I then proceeded to th appointment and left the muzzle on her just for convenience and was refused service by the groomer and the reason was a dog cannot come to the appointment with a muzzle on or they are refused service. No one told me this before hand and it was inconceivable to me that that was an excuse to refuse service.

I used to love petsmart! Until I came to this location. The store was fine but I had a terrible experience with the grooming salon. Everyone from the groomers to management. I do not recommend anyone bring there beloved pets there. They are very rude and unprofessional. I went as far as reporting the incidents to upper management and also spoke to customer resolutions but got no response. I’ve dealt with many different locations but never would I recommend anyone go to this one. I’ve also lost a lot of respect for petsmart. Protecting there investments but not caring for the customer. I would give zero stars if I could.

Extremely disappointed to find Petsmart using wire wheels for the rodents on sale. Wire wheels are considered dangerous and can break limbs. You'd think a pet store would know better. Also, I noticed the rodents doing nothing but vigorously digging at the corners of their enclosures, an indication that they're under-stimulated. There are a few other concerns I have about pet-safety and the products they sell, so PLEASE be careful and do your research before purchasing products, and adopt don't shop!
