Probably the worst seafood experience of my life. I felt like a terrible parent expecting my children to eat their food and fully planned on all of us getting sick from the undercooked appetizers. Very disappointing and expensive. Contacted management who publicly stated that our concerns would be addressed, but they never were.

We were visiting Brandon and just wanted some good middle of the road food. The food was good and what you'd expect at a Joey's - the green salad was exceptionally good ????; the service was fast and attentive - or so we thought at first, but it later turned into almost harassment/stalking with the server coming running every few seconds and trying to take our plates away. Due to a medical condition, my son doesn't eat very fast, so this became really irritating really fast. It definitely felt like she couldn't get us out of the shop fast enough; funny when there were other patrons who lingered at their tables after finishing their meals. We were unsure of the reason for this - were we racially/ethnically profiled, or were they just busy and unable to handle the situation? Weird

This is my favorite restaurant in Brandon, as well as Winnipeg. The spicy popcorn shrimp appetizer is the tastiest shrimp I've ever had. I most often get joeys classic fish, which comes with a delicious Caesar salad or fries, and an incredibly tasty corn bread muffin. My husband has ordered several things from the menu and his favorites are the shrimp or fish tacos. He could eat the Chipotle sauce plain and has before ????

They asked for 2 pieces of ID Covid health card and Picture ID. I thought that was unusual but I could see that they did not have the iPad for use for just the Covid health card and they are required by law to take pictures on their phones of all their customers. I understand and that's OK by me. I am following the law and necessary covid requirements as they are.

Food is good but not great. Service was prompt and friendly. I am a fan of the crispy shrimp tacos, but I love tartar sauce with fish and chips and I dislike it here. Tastes like very lightly seasoned mayo and nothing else.

This place was recommended to us by friends & family so we decided to try it out. We were NOT disappointed!!! Amazing, flavorful food! Excellent portion sizes! Great service by the waitress (thanks Julie). We will definitely come back here!

We didn't even get in to try as the MANAGER decided they needed to close at 8 rather than 9 (like their sign says) and we had arrived at 7:50. We were basically made to feel like it was it was an imposition. So we left. I doubt if we will go back ????

I'm pleased. We're talking about a middle of the road fish fry restaurant just as you would expect. The place certainly can use a face lift, it's off putting for atmosphere, I certainly don't care for viewable kitchens unless they are spotless, and that's not always easy to do if it's a busy place or an older establishment. Prices are as you expect and there's good deals for the thrifty. The colors of the restaurant are heavy, dark, not well lit, high dark celings which only add to the lack of atmosphere. I do think this might be a poor choice from corporate vs the franchise owner but more could be done to give a lighter feel so you don't feel like you're done before you begin eating. I'm not a fan of fried foods unless it's very dry and light breading however, this isn't what I expected when I walked in and that's not what I got but as a whole it wasn't bad. It all looked fresh (clean grease) and done as well as fried food could be done. I had the coconut shrimp, Cajun shrimp, Pollock filet, & veg egg rolls. Way more than I could eat in two sittings but I tried eveything and was satisfied with all of it. Service was friendly and fairly quick. I showed up 10 min before closing and wasn't rushed or treated as THAT customer coming in 10 min before closing. They just started offering margaritas and those were great. Far better than anticipated for a fish fry place. I would go again but not for a few months, when I get the erge to eat fried foods again.

It's a good place to go if you're craving some seafood in Brandon! Many good specials going on there like 2 can dine for 20! I recommend trying it out if you like fish!

Came in for lunch on December 3rd, 2021. The service was incredibly slow. The only reason we got out food was we lined up at the door to leave. It was a slow day and the restaurant was by no means packed, even by COVID standards. Worst of all the food was cold. Absolutely terrible service, I will NOT be coming back ever.

I went in because of the high ratings for the restuarant online. As I walked in there was a bad smell inside the restaurant but I still stayed just to taste the food. I thought food will be amazing but that wasn't true. I asked the server what's their best dish even she couldn't point or recommend anything that is outstanding or signature dish. I got sick after eating there.

It’s definitely on the pricey side but I absolutely LOVE their fried fish! The meals are always hot and cooked properly but there’s often the odd mistake on taking the order (nothing worse than getting all the way home and realizing there isn’t enough tartar sauce). Their salmon is great as well but again, pricey.

Food came had to track down a waitress to get a fork. Finished eating waited 10 minutes for them to come by then asked for a water to wash the food down and a dessert menu. 7 mins later stopped the other waitress for the same told her I'm waiting for these things. She said they only had lemon pie, but brought the water. I'm only usually at a Joey's from start to finish 25-30 minutes was here for over a hour. The 2 stars are for the food and that's generous.
