Black Bart The Poet

This used to be an old furniture shop with a cool old rocking chair in front. That's not relevant to this rating, I just miss the chair. This current store is much more useful than that one. Although it's called EuroMax, it's a Polish store. It has great cold cuts, hot foods, desserts, treats, and everything else you could need. You don't need to be Polish to go here, but it helps. My wife doesn't like the bitter cold cut ladies.

This is a quaint little European grocery shop with items you cannot find in big box stores. The staff are friendly and willing to help. The food is fresh and well worth the price. There is a little shop below if you are looking for knickknacks and such which is quite nice as well.

As always Euro Max has an excellent array of fine cheesecakes. In addition to the selection of cheesecakes they have good selection of frozen strawberry, blueberry pierogies. And I forgot to mention the patistski's. Reminds me of when my parents would take down to Roncesvalles Ave in Toronto. To Granowska's bakery, which was always a treat. I am glad there are two locations in Brampton. This retailer is great!!!!

People with pressure problems - watch out for some types of sausages (eg Wood Smoked or Hunter's sausage). The amount of salt and preservatives makes the pressure jump significantly. Others like Juniper are OK. (Original) Obsługa jest miła i otwarta na ludzi, co nieczęsto się zdarza w innych sklepach. Osoby z problemami ciśnienia - uwaga na niektóre kiełbasy (np. Wood Smoked, czy myśliwska). Ilość soli i konserwantów sprawia, że ciśnienie skacze znacznie. Inne, np. Juniper są OK.

Hi. Unfortunately the fresh produce is not so fresh. The small cucumbers for pickling are old and rotten. After soaking them in cold water and cleaning all is left is good for garbage. Dill is also old and dry. Advice for others. Check the produce or get better and cheaper at Fortinos.

They've got a wide assortment of dried, cured, smoked, etc. sausages here each tastier than the next. It was also pretty surprising to see the variety of general foods and deserts packed into such a small building. We found some really great perogies, a chocolate nutella cake, fish fillets and sauces I hadn't seen since my trip to Europe. Definitely left with more than I had expected to.

I love this place! As soon as l walk in, l am greeted by the fragrant aroma of delicious European food. There is a good selection of smoked sausages, hams, salami, wursts, fresh meats, prepared foods. The delectable baked goods are the closest thing to old country breads, pastries, cakes, strudel. Delicious and fresh! They also have a good selection of fine chocolates, condiments, jams, honey. And the biggest selection of herbal teas very reasonably priced that l have seen anywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful so don't be afraid to ask if you are looking for something in particular. This Euromax is Brampton's only remaining European store and deli. It is the only place l where l can find the kind of apple strudel made with grated apples and lots of cinnamon in a super flaky filo pastry, like my Mother and Grandma used to make. This is a good sized store with an extensive selection of European foods, and specialties. Highly recommend it!! :)

Probably one of the best deli's to go to. All of their sausages and cold cuts are made and cured in local sources and they are not packaged in water or preservatives. This is real, fresh, top notch products. Traditional European products and the prices are reasonable for most things. Staff is fantastic. And the sweets and dessert section is by far the most amazing. Lots to choose from. I get fat just by looking at it! Fresh baked goods too! Try the Traditional Polish donut, Ponchki. Your welcome!

Have recently moved in the neighbourhood from Toronto - so this is my go to place for Deli Sandwiches, sliced meat or sausages, some good cakes/Desserts, European chocolates or just about anything. The staff is super nice (especially the lady handling the bakery section) and the store is always organized. One suggestion though - May be they can set up few tables and chairs outside the store and start serving some good European coffee and then it can become a great self-serve breakfast/brunch place throughout the day. But definitely a great place to shop & eat!

Buyer beware of bread sold here. Polsky Chleb Rye bread , two different sizes ( one half than the other), have exctly same label on them, pretending they were 800g, each, obviously same barcode.Not to mention that said 800g actually weigh 763g. But that is nothing compared with the fact that there were half sizes. Everybody wants to make a buck, but please....not like this.

While getting some cold cuts we asked to try a slice of the stuffed chicken. While getting the meet lady accidentally dropped it on the ground. She apologized and said to come back in afternoon as they will have more once the delivery arrives. We went around to get some bread and didn't even leave the store yet and that piece was back on the shelf. She didnt even wait for us to leave the store before placing it back on the shelf. Imagine the things you dont see.

After reading the last review about pricing being different, I decided to investigate myself. I checked many items I usually buy here and then for the first time drove to the other location and compared prices. Let me just say, I won't be back here. Many of the items were priced higher and the size difference on other items is shocking to say the least. So happy that the other user noticed this problem after his rum balls experience and was able to awaking the consumers!

They have quite a variety of products I've never seen before but it's worth the trip just to see what they have. They have a sweets counter, Deli counter, and cold items such as salads and meal items. They also have a great frozen sections with a wide selection of perogies. They also have baked goods. They can be a bit pricy on some items, but you just need to shop around.

Worst service ever. Just because I have a big family and buy a lot of salami (sandwich meats) does not mean I like having my cuts as thick as the steaks. Absolutely rude. They should at least ask if they are to lazy to do their job properly. We love Euro Max products but we are not coming back to this location. Never had this issue in any other locations.

Love going to this store....very European! Just love the smell of smoked meats when you enter the store. They have a good selection of cold meats and some they smoke themselves. Prices are very reasonable. The bakery has authentic European baked goods but are on the expensive side but nonetheless are still delicious. Would not hesitate recommending this store!

The worst bakery I have ever visited in my life. I took four type of cakes and pastries. Everything tasted too stale. As if they were at least 10 days old. I wasted over 30 dollars. Love the atmosphere and food but the prices are high. I understand it's hard to compete with Fortino's across the street. The Poles support it and anyone of European background will recognize the smells and food of this quaint deli and pastry place. The cakes we bought for Easter were very fresh and tasty. They were sold out of dinner rolls (at $.70 apiece!)

I moved out of Brampton three and a half years ago and I enjoy shopping at euromaxx so much that when I'm in the area I always stop Hands down they have the best selection of pickles I've ever seen in my entire life The deli counter is always incredibly well-stocked. And the staff is always eager to help me pronounce whatever cold cuts I would like to try. I also think that they have the best rye bread I've ever had!

First of all I would state that this is a great European grocery store. One of the few still left in Brampton. The cold cuts selection is superb!! So is the sweet counter. I am a customer of Euromax for at least a decade. I hope the owners are going to read this post. Unfortunately today I had a horrible experience at the cold cut counter. An elderly gentlemen served me with limited English. That is not a big problem as language barriers can be resolved, however his knowledge of the products he was serving was extremely limited. I had to try at least 3-4 times to point out what I wish to buy and confirm several times how much I wish to buy. He sliced the cold cut and placed to the scale one slice by one slice. It lasted 10 minutes to cut and scale 300 grams of cold cut. Then he started to arrange the counter for other several minutes before he handed me the wrapped cold cuts. I wanted to buy more items but I just gave up and left. Please owner(s) watch who you going to entrust with service. I will be still a loyal customer, but I do not want to go through this experience again.

An old-style European (actually Polish) deli with a huge variety of of fresh and prepared meat, cheese, cookies, baked goods, pastries and weird food. Who doesn't love European veal wieners or smoked pork hocks??? My only wish is that they'd carry more cream filled pasties instead of custard filled.

So this was my first time at the store. I called yesterday and asked if they had rum balls, They said yes. I asked are they same price as other store. They said yes. Today I arrive at the store the price is .50 cents higher. I talked to the pleasant worker in the bakery, who asked another lady to come talk to me. This lady was not as friendly. I told her the price was higher then other location. She tried to tell me it's because it's a different vendor product, which I heard the day before the truck delivers to both locations. LOL! Anyways, I then asked if her if they would match price of other location, as if not I would not be coming back to this location? She, said she will go check. After a 10 minute wait, she comes back and says NO we can not do that. Now, the funniest part of the story. Since she kept me waiting 10 minutes and wasting my time, I decided to look around store. I realized so many things were higher priced then other locations and even some of the cooked items were smaller for same price or higher. I would recommend do not waste your time here! Would love to hear from store representative. But, I am sure that will not happen. Thanks for wasting my time, See you never!!

This review is based on multiple shopping visits at this location. Unfortunately, as much as the store is very conveniently located, I will not be shopping there anymore. I purchased more than twice meats that went to garbage on the same day as they smelled off upon opening the package. In addition, the sale items not always scan properly and this store has only one explanation: Nobody is perfect. Very true but what is the limit? I guess you the shopper have to decide. So to sum it up, check your purchases for freshness and the receipt as you only have 24 hours for returns.
