Food was good...worst customer service ever i had... the young lady has too much attitude...she didn't even ask us for water..she didn't say any word all the time that we spend there..the owner, wasn't happy to dine us inside...sometimes good customer service ignored mistakes in food..but in this case they are damaging the image of their restaurant that,they have really better indian taste then many indian restaurant.....i will never go there again and never suggest anyone to go there....

We ordered a bunch of dishes, about $60 worth of food from here, through UberEats, and it came in about a half-hour. WE ARE IN HEAVEN. This food, which they made vegan for us, is DELICIOUS!! It's beautifully spiced. The vegetable biryani rice is divine. The aloo tikki, the lentil daal, the aloo gobi, the stuffed garlic light bread, just EVERYTHING, is absolutely delicious and satisfying. Thank you so much for being here and making such great food to share!

This is a fantastic North Indian full service and takeout. We enjoyed table service in a polite and professional manner. Our food arrived quickly. It was fresh and the flavour combinations are THE REAL Deal. Affordably priced and generous portions, meant that we took some food home with us too! This is a family business and THEY know how to do fantastic vegetarian dishes. It can be tricky to find descent vegetarian restaurants, especially in this area. Well done!

Horrible service! Server was rude,arrogant and disrespectful! I had reservation for 4 people and she didn’t even take our order properly. I ask my dish to be spicy and i got mild instead. When I called her back to confirm with her, she said it was so I didn’t bother her after she gave me dirty looks. Then in the end of the meal she says that she has to clean and sanitize the table and would appreciate if we didn’t touch everything as she would have to sanitize even the chairs n the next table next to ours. So many things went wrong. I hope the owner see this review as I didn’t want to tell her off as I was with company. First of all, respect me as I came in with respect; I even booked a reservation for dine in. Don’t give me dirty looks when I tell you there’s something wrong with the food. Take it back and replace it please, don’t tell me that it’s spicy because I have taste it and so had everyone on the table to tell me that’s not spicy. Afterwards, you are trying to “teach us” not to touch tables and chairs?!? Like what? If you want to continue running a successful restaurant during covid times, you must sanitize everything, including your hands and the table. Now, I don’t understand why there was a need at the end of the meal telling us not to touch when you could have easily just said good bye to us and do your job which is finishing serving us and cleaning tables. Honestly bad experience, it’s not even worth it.

Subzi quantity is very less as compared to other similar places in Belleville. In addition, other place provides Rice along with Subzi at similar cost. Though, Subzi taste is good- need to provide more quantity

Food they are selling is Pakistani Cuisine, I tried Dal Makhni and Kadhai Paneer, nothing tasted like North Indian Cuisine. Asked for extra spicy food and got sweet paneer and extra creamy sweet dal. Roti was very thick. Liked the butter naan though.

Food was ready for the desired pick up time, however was fairly cold when I got it home (only live off College St so maybe 5 minutes away), which makes me think it sat out for a while before pick up. The butter chicken was more of a soup as it barely had 5 small chunks of chicken in it. Otherwise everything else was delicious!

Probably the only Indian Restaurant around the town. We ordered Non Veg Thali, Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Chicken for takeaway. Non veg thali included Butter Chicken, Goat Curry, and a choice of one veg curry. The butter chicken gravy was very sweet, and the chicken was hard to chew. The goat curry was decent and well-cooked. We were also served 1 Roti, rice, salad and Gulab Jamun along with it, which were all fine. For veg curry, we got Kadhai Paneer which was also had gravy similar to the butter chicken and paneer cubes, though were many, but were very chewy. In snacks, both chicken tikka and tandoori chicken were properly cooked, well marinated and tasted the best.

Not impressed. I get home and notice the butter chicken I ordered doesn't come with any rice. At a price of $10.99 you would think it would have rice. I asked for butter chicken spicy and received a very mild sauce that tasted like zoodles tomato sauce. The chicken pieces were the only redeeming quality. The best part of the order was the naan. It was delicious. My least favorite Indian restaurant in Belleville.

I gotta say he makes the best butter chicken I have ever tried, me and my coworkers, always order from here, if you order for take out make sure you place your order in advance, if not you will have to wait a couple min. The Naan is always perfect ???? a 10/10, only thing I always order a non veg thali, and butter chicken instead of goat, but yesterday they said I couldn't have butter chicken/ butter chicken instead of goat. Very disappointing because they have always let me have it that way. Other than that is still my favorite. Thank you for existing. Thumbs up !!!

It isn’t the spiciest Indian food I’ve tried, but the flavour is so rich and enjoyable. Presentation is awesome and the value for the money is solid. Inviting atmosphere. I quite liked the food. Owners are nice. The first palak paneer I got did not have a lot of cheese in it. The next day I ordered a different Paneer and that one had a lot of cheese in it so maybe the first was just an accident. Both were tasty. I really like the naan bread it is very soft and fresh. I like how there is a lot of seasoning right on top. Update: Have eaten here several times now and I really like the food. It's my go to Indian place in Belleville.

Oh My Gosh! I had heard about this place before and have been waiting so long to try it. I was pleasantly surprised by how quaint and cozy this place is. The washrooms are clean soap dispensers have sensors. Then we get to the food, it’s quite hard to find Indian restaurants with so many vegetarian options on the menu. My sincerest compliments to the chef, the food was delicious and soo worth it! Every gravy had it’s own flavour. I will definitely be going back for more!

It was really amazing food. I had garlic naan and naan stuffed with Chicken with Madras Paneer. It was very delicious. I also had onion fritters (onion bhaji). It was very crunchy and delicious! I visited the second time after few weeks , the owner were very rude with my friend. He was just asking about Patio. The food, madras chicken curry was good. Malai paneer was regular and naans were good too. Food wise restaurant is good but owners really need to focus on customer service. Also, they didnt provide any cutlery anytime. Please ask for cutlery and napkins as they dont give that on takeout. That's why I am reducing the stars of the review ( For being very rude with my friend).

At same time there were 2 or 3 more canadian customer there and they ordered the same thing which is thali but the girl served them on their table. My wife and I have tried the limited variety of Indian Food restaurants in the area for the last few years, since we moved here in 2015. Nothing as impressive as Tanjore Indian Cuisine - WOW! We could barely have a conversation about anything else because we were too busy taking a bite and then going, "MMmM!" "Oh, man!" "Yes!" "Wowsa!" Yes ... their food is that good. Very amazed at the quality, portioning and prices. For those wanting to try Indian Food for the first time (or introduce it to your kids) and think it's too spicy, you can relax knowing that their goal is not to provide edible rocket fuel, like other Indian restaurants, but elegantly flavoured food that is highly palatable and extremely tasty without the pain. (Try the butter chicken for NO heat if you're sensitive). Dig in Belleville! M&N

Best Butter Chicken EVER! We have tried several varieties/versions from different restaurant around the Toronto area and Fort Myers area. This is the same Tanjore that has relocated from Scarborough in Toronto. Besides it's Butter Chicken all its other dishes are superb. Channa Masala, Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, etc. Basically all that they have on their menu is awesome.

First time customer and what we ordered was delicious; I really enjoyed the butter chicken. What would have been nice is if the person taking our order over the phone had informed us that rice wasn’t included - as it often is at many places. I bring the food home and have to wait until we made our own rice. Not a big deal although it kind of undermines the whole ‘order take out so ya don’t have to make dinner’ aspect. No napkins or anything else either, so if we planned on eating anywhere but at home we wouldn’t be able to. As a former customer service executive, may I suggest using any opportunity to inform your customers in order to enhance their experience with your establishment. I’m sure there are many people like my wife and I who love to try new places while at the same time, have no experience with your style of food or what comes with it. I wish you nothing but success!

We were first time customers at the restaurant and we were able to dine in with a reservation. We had ordered the non vegetable lunch special to try out an assortment of food and it was really great. We both throughly enjoyed it. It was served hot and fresh. The naan was also served right off the stove and it was delicious! The service was great too. I would diffinately try this restaurant again. What I didn't like was that, we asked to sit where we wanted to sit (which was more farther apart from the one other table that was occupied) and we were not allowed to???? And that when we arrived we were asked to physically produce our identification and honestly I'd rather stay home next time and order take out.

Ordered a bunch of different things; Butter chicken Chicken korma Garlic naan Vegetable biryani and the samosas. I have never ordered so many varieties from a restaurant and loved them all. Everything was savoury, juicy and downright delicious. The ONLY thing I would suggest is better packaging so things don't spill over BUT that is so menial compared to the great food and kind delivery person! Great job.

First time ordering here. The staff were all very nice, polite, and professional. However, the food wasn’t good. The naan had great texture but was heavily slathered in what tasted like butter and not ghee. The butter chicken was very dairy heavy and rich, it lacked spice and was reminiscent of Campbell’s tomato soup if made with milk. The chicken vindaloo (requested “extra extra hot”) was as mild as the cream used in the butter chicken and quite watery. The onion bhaji were Ok. Overall, the food had little flavour, no chili heat, and way too much dairy.

We have enjoyed Rakesh Kumar's cooking for years. First at the Bombay Palace then later at Tanjore in Scarborough. We were in Belleville yesterday and stopped at Tanjore for a meal. The best Indian food around. We really miss Tanjore in Scarborough!

The menu on the website is hard to read. The vegetable dish with creamy sauce had only a handful of frozen carrots and peas. The naan bread had no flavour. The chicken dish was swimming in sauce and was not very tasty.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional. The absolute worst customer service. Order was placed via phone. This was more difficult than it had to be. Asked which chicken items they had, the lady proceeded to tell us they did not have butter chicken. Maybe she was hard of hearing. I had to persuade and extract the available menu items from her. Order was to be ready in 30 mins. Got there in 37 mins. Order was not yet ready. A few minutes of waiting it was ready. Great. Paid for the food. We saw that there was an outdoor patio section with a (dirty) table. Asked if the patio is open and if we can eat there. The cook's face contorted into one possessed by rage. He started shouting, "DID YOU ORDER TAKEOUT OR DINE IN?!!". I was a little confused and taken aback at the response. He continued shouting that take out is takeout and dining in is dining in. When the guy stopped to take a breather I simply told him that there was no need to be so negative. The guy does not respond but the lady quickly spoke up and said, "He's not being negative. He's explaining." My colleague and I walk out. I did not get a clear answer but I think this restaurant is not allowing dine in on their patio. My colleague thinks their food is good. I consider the food to be average. I'm not sure if it was the food or if it was the absolute failure of basic human interaction, but I have some indigestion now. Also, not a single napkin or utensil was included in the takeout. The naan was also a little cold. My colleague who orders from here stated they make a habit of not including utensils with takeout. I won't order from here in the future. I hope the staff learn how to interact with people better. I waa born in a 3rd world country and this is objectively the worst customer service I've ever received from a restaurant.

Their food is delicious! Hands down this is our favorite indian restaurant in the area after trying all of them. Prices are pretty middle of the road, not cheap, but not expensive enough to make you hesitate. Our recommendations are the paneer makhni, butter chicken, and korma for curries, the tandoori chicken is to die for, and their naan is fresh made, super soft and the perfect snack.

They said yes for dine in and open until 7.30pm, Went there 6 pm and we were told do you have reservation, I said no but I called in and asked for dine in so we came. To everyone in Belleville, you are so lucky to have them, the Butter Chicken and Navrattan Korma are just the best. Too many great dishes to name them all. Tanjore North Indian Cuisine is a culinary delight that everyone should experience. The quality of the food is consistently incredible, order completion is always punctual, and the quantity of food will leave you satisfied. Great prices, and a hospitable family owned, and operated atmosphere. I personally recommend the Kadhai Gosht! Thanks for opening your doors, Tanjore North Indian Cuisine!

Hands down, my favourite Indian restaurant in Belleville. I came to Belleville from Toronto and was spoiled by all the delicious, authentic Indian restaurants in Toronto... I'm a big fan of Indian food. This restaurant is a gem in Belleville and I go often for the lunch special! Delicious and super affordable. Stop reading and get down here already!
