If they have what you want and you know where to go find it in the store you're going to be golden and have a great experience. On the other hand if you need to talk to someone at customer service be prepared to wait; and in some cases feel like you are being an inconvenience. Additionally 2 months later I am still waiting for the phone call that my rain check is in for a free Milwaukee battery valued at $250. Starting to feel I'll never get that phone call.

We placed an order for a tub of Rotatella T4 oil on a Friday. They were quick to process the payment yet, two weeks to the day, I still hadn’t heard from them. Fearing they lost the order, I called...”no sir, we have the order but it’s not been processed yet!” I called Canadian Tire on the Saturday... canceled the order and Peavy and picked up my Rotatella T4 in less than 48 hours! Cheaper, I might add!

I am not convinced that TSC should be doing e-commerce. The staff in-store are doing their best and try to help but there is always an issue with finding someone at the customer service desk. Today the gentleman at customer service was also the only cashier on duty, and he had a long line. He was excellent, polite and calm despite being overwhelmed. There is always an issue with finding someone to go retrieve my item from the back storage room, in the past I've witnessed arguments between overworked employees not wanting to go back to find something "in that mess." On a few occasions, the item could not be found easily and I had to wait a significant time. A bit of organization might help the employees. Also the store could use a tidy.

Always good quality items and a great price. For weekly flyer specials you either get there on the first day of sale or item will likely be sold out. Fair enough, the early bird... I find the floor staff and cashiers to be very knowledgeable on the products they carry, friendly, and helpful. If I call ahead to see if they have an item in stock they will hold it for me until later the same day so I can pick it up after work. In 15 years I don't think that I've ever had to return a single item, so that in itself is a real time saver.

Please note: My visit was just a couple of days after shopping in person was allowed due to covid 19. Had to wait in line 20 minutes. Not a problem-I get the new reality. However, once inside, there were hardly any shoppers. This is a large store and could easily have held another 50 shoppers and not have broken any rules. No staff at the entry directing traffic. Store was a mess-way understaffed. Garden center was a joke. If they ever have to close again, they'd better staff up and get the store ready before re-opening. The only bright spot this trip was the professional,courteous and friendly cashier on the way out.

Signage in this store is poor or non-existent. Went in to find items on sale in the flyer & zero signage. Also found that on the very 1st day of the flyer only 3 left of 1 of the items. On the plus side they actually have a designated changeroom unlike Kingston. Even if the door doesnt lock.

Dont park there if your not doing business there. They call the city and you get a 13 dollar ticket. Sad especially when the person got the fine went to his doctor and was give a prescription. Very spotty customer service. You can almost forget about sale items in the flyer. Even on the first day of the sale they often have none of the item in stock and have no clue as to when they may have some in. Poorly managed location - perhaps speaks to more significant corporate issues.

I normally love shopping at this location. One terrible customer service experience and I won't be coming back. Now, before getting into the negative of this review, let me say the Corporate Costumer Service person was amazingly helpful and this isn't against TSC Stores. As someone who works in agriculture and travels around Ontario, I have been to many TSC Stores across Ontario and usually have great experiences. EDIT: I did call customer service and I do wish I had mentioned that I am clearly not the only person who has had customer service issues with this location. Reading some of the reviews on here, I can see that the costumer service is just generally terrible at this store. So TLDR; if you're looking for good costumer service, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. If you're not sure if you're going to be returning something, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE. You can read my terrible costumer service experience with this location below: In trying to make a return (with receipt), I was essentially told that I was trying to return marking flags when "clearly there were some removed from the stack" (that or another TSC store ripped me off). So I counted, and there were 100 exactly. Then the tune was changed and then I couldn't return them because they were "dirty" (see picture, not quite sure how those would classify as dirty?) This was all sent to TSC Stores Costumer service who said the return should have been made. Now, if it's against the return policy to not take back things that have been opened, then fine. It was the attitude of the employee. I even said I would be okay if they gave me less money on the return because they were in "bad condition". She said the condition was so bad she'd have to throw them out. I'm sorry, is this not a farming store? I didn't realize a few bits of dust and some wrinkles, that were on marking flags when I bought it, would be too dirty for the rural community of Brant County.

I was a little disappointed as it's a 25 minute drive to get here and the item I wanted (straw) , that showed 25 in stock, was nowhere to be found. Staff said it must be an inventory error. They didn't have isopropyl or diatomaceous earth either. I walked out with nothing I came looking for.

I'm a big fan of hardware stores, having spent many an hour browsing through Home Depot, Canadian Tire, etc....this was my first visit to a TSC and yet staff treated me like a regular. Prices were reasonable, I would say slightly lower than the big box hardware stores, and sale prices were of the "how can I NOT buy this?" variety...BUT - then I called the Belleville store later to ask if they could have an item I saw in store, a water fountain, shipped to the Cornwall store (closer to my home). They went and got the SKU, told me it would ship in about a week or two, and that was it....no one ever called back. I followed up with the Belleville and Cornwall stores and they both kept giving me the runaround. I should have stuck with Home Depot.

Just like when this place was TSC store it has some of the worst customer service I've experienced over the phone (not terrible when there in pearson). I called over 10:50am Sunday Dec 19/21 mentioned Terra work boots they were advertising in the local flyer.... after a bit of a pause (she had nothing to say) I asked what types of Terra boots they had in size 12 so she put me on hold. She came back not too long later saying "we have 1 pair of Terra boots at a size 12, I got the cashier to check".... (another pause). I mentioned the boots in the flyer again asking if those were the 12's they had and she responded with "I don't know anything about that add" (which is on the front page of their flyer, probably have a stack of them when u walk in). Even though I showed interest in buying a set of boots she couldn't even give me a price for the ones they did have in my size. Why is this pearson working in a retail setting? Is this how Peavey operates? Too bad cause like others have said they do carry some quality products but if your looking for answers before you just drive out there don't bother go somewhere that is organized or has some retail structure.

Today took the cake. The Belleville store has a poor reputation and this is a good example. We were in desperate need of Ice Melter.To my surprise when checking the TSC site it indicated there was an inventory of 47 bags. Unlike the CTC inventory that said 9 which could be understood there was a discrepancy. Arrived at the store to find no Ice Melter except small pails. Asked where was the Windor ice melter as inventory on line was 47 bags. Teller called Manager who indicated it was all gone. Returning to my vehicle, I noticed skids of some type of bags in the lock up outside. Wandered over and there was easily 35 to 40 bags of Ice melter. People driving all over the country looking for this. Weather forecast indicating ice and freezing rain. Returned to store and said that the product I wanted was in the lock up, would I not be able to get some. A $100.00 purchase by the way! A staff person arrived to examine the situation. Apologized and said that they would get me the five bags I wanted. In the end three male staff and the manager arrived. Product was paid for and loaded into my car. Managers' excuse was that it was covered in snow. NOT. If this is where retail is headed what a world.

This place is laughable. Good merchandising principles are nonexistent. The store is always an absolute mess. If you’re looking for something there’s a good chance the shelf will be empty, there will be no price, or the item will be somewhere it doesn’t belong. And good luck getting someone to help you find it. Employees will rush by you so fast you’ll never even get the chance to ask for help. Even if you’re lucky enough to have the displeasure of talking to someone they will make you want to go somewhere else, which is what I suggest doing in the first place.

Great place got lots of feed supply, would really wish I could purchase rolling achers layer krumble from the kingston store, as they never have any in stock forcing me twice a month to travelle here to belleville location, as we run a decent size egg farm, every time we need to change feeds leads to 2 weeks of poor egg production. Leaving us with unhappy customers that we can only sell to if they arrive at our farm. Unhappy customers that can't get a regular supply of eggs find other sellers. These employees here are ok because I'm there for 1 reason. TSC OWNERS TAKE NOTE IM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT WISHES YOU WOULD STOCK MORE IN KINGSTON, THEY TELL US ITS HEAD OFFICE SO GET YOUR STORE STOCK ISSUES SORTED, before we find new suppliers.

I could not be more disappointed with this store. The shelves are poorly labeled. Their inventory does not match what is on the shelves. The staff are almost never helpful, it can be impossible to get anyone on the phone and we ordered a mini greenhouse online a month and a half ago with still no word as to when it will be shipped. It doesn't matter how many times we call, chat or go into the store no one knows what is going on with our order. I would avoid this place if I were you. I know I will in the future. Update We did receive a greenhouse in the end. It took two months, was a different cheaper model than the one we had ordered and it was bent and broken. When we asked the staff to open it up for us to assess the damage on it one of the guys was polite about it while the other one started sighing and grumbling under his breath angrily that we asked this of him. There were no issues with getting a refund and we left never to return to that store again.

I rarely do these but had a horrible experience this morning at the Brantford Location. I think they need to get a grip during the pandemic crisis we have going on. The way they're treating their customers is ridiculous. I was in there with my my mom. We went in separately and weren't near each other but when we talked to each other after asking the employee about a saw blade, the employee told us one of of us would have to leave. I understand social distancing but we live in separate houses and they just seem to be making up their own uneducated rules regarding this whole thing. I walked out and will not be going back ever again. Went to Home Hardware and was pleasantly helped with my purchases, and treated with respect. Plus their prices were better. Good riddance TSC

Called ahead to see if they had black hardware for chain link fence post gate, after being put on hold for about 5 mins the young man we were speaking to came back on and said "what was it again, I got side tracked?" We once again explained what we needed and again were put on hold while he checked. He came back on line and stated they had 4-5 gate hardware kits at which time we asked how late they were open and that we would be there in 30 mins (travelling from Stockdale area) Upon arrival we could not find any and asked for assistance, at that time we were told they didn't carry those. Infuriated we asked to speak with store manager and he checked to see who took our original call, no one owned up to the error and we left the store with just an apology. Extremely dissatisfied and would NOT recommend this store nor management to anyone looking to make a purchase

I went because they changed their name and was hoping they fixed the issues I had with TSC. This store could be my go to store if they would spend more time maintaining their inventory. Do not go there expect things to be organized or people to know where to find things. The associate will have an excuse though, oh it must be in the barn, or it must still be in the truck. And don't expect to get your raincheck you have to fight to find out it got delivered to the wrong store. Corporate blames the local store the local store blames corporate. It is always someone else's fault. I went in to find a fitting for a hose recently, nothing was in any of the bins matched the label, if there was a label. When I took a step back to see if I could find an order to how the bins were arranged there was none. When I found an associate to help me I mentioned that I can't figure out how the section is organized, her reply, its not organized. If you know the store isn't organized why doesn't someone organize it. If they knew where things were and didn't have to blame someone else it would be a great store.

The hours on here are wrong. Showed up at 8pm and they closed the doors on us and wouldn't let us in. We explained that online the hours are until 9pm but they didn't care, even though we told them we had driven 45 minutes. They just blamed Google. As a business owner myself, I know that if you are registered with Google you can change the hours yourself. Very unprofessional attitude we received. Will not be going again.

Last I rated a 3star but last visit a 2. No help on floor. Store is a mess. Product in isles. Product un priced. Asked a staff member for price on generator. She didn't know asked another staff member. He disappeared to get price and never returned. Asked first girl again and she was more interested in making sure people entering were washing and didnt have time to ask or inquire. No sizing in cover-alls that we went for 2 pair and left only with 1 pair work pants. Will not cross town again for this store

I'm so disappointed in the Belleville TSC. I've shopped almost weekly at this store for the past two months only to find I pay full price on sale items each time, and it adds up. I went there to buy folding camp chairs that were in there flyer. I went the first day of the sale around 9:00 a.m.. I walked to lawn/garden area where I thought they would be, they weren't there. I aimlessly walked up and down every aisle searching as another customer commented that he also couldn't find what he was looking for. The back aisle of the store was a mess. A staff member walked by and didn't offer any assistance. I went to the cashier and asked about the chairs. She pointed to the door and said that they were there. I went and by the door there was one chair, it was dusty and the bag that it should have been in was stuffed in the cup holder. I bought the chair because, I needed it for that day. I went back to the cashier and was ignored by the two staff that were talking about how they had to greet every customer that was to come in because, loss prevention was coming that day. I took the chair to the event I needed it for and when I opened it up, it had a dirty tissue on the seat and was dirty. I was really unimpressed with my purchase and the lack of customer service that I received.

As a small business owner I wouldn’t normally dream of leaving a bad review. But I arrived at tsc this morning at 10:01 am, asked immediately for someone with a key to help me in the hunting section. The women behind the counter made three calls to staff, all of which where ignored. Then she even asked what looked like a higher up if she could assist me, and with attitude said he will have to wait. Then proceeded to go about other business. I waited till 10:40 before leaving the store having not been helped. Normally I do not feel entitled enough to be this upset, but there was maybe one other person shopping in the store with 4-5 staff around, all of which couldn’t be bothered to help a customer for two minutes. Very disappointed

And the guy that said his wife got caught in traffic and was 2 minutes late after closing.....LIAR. i was there. His wife pulled up a half hour after the store was closed. Cashes are closed down. Cant run a transaction with out a cash and they have to be closed down by a certain time.

This is probably the worst store and company I have ever dealt with. Not only can they not send an order in a timely manner but they cannot communicate any issues. It has been me calling and following up with the company as to where my order is for a month in a half (full payment was taken upon order). Even after getting an email to "pick up" the order at the store ..... it still wasn't there and the store is actually even worse to speak too. I was offered no discount, no rush just that it would be reshipped after no one can find the order. And that it will now take another two weeks at the least. Best advise I can give future buyers.......DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY........LOOK ELSEWHERE.

My son sent me a picture from the Peevy flyer containing all information to order an item for him.. Phoned Belleville Store. They didn't have any, and no stock in warehouse. but nice enough to give me thephone number for Brookville who said you have to order off the website and get it transfered to Belleville Store. Website wouldn't accept size. I phoned Brockville back. Sat on hold for 10 minutes while the nice girl said she would have to trans me to their office Their office said a transfer with in stores would have to initiate in Belleville. OMG, at that point I gave up and found it easily and ordered it from their competitor. I really try to buy from Canadian Stores, but they need to up their game!!!

Today at 10am I phoned the Belleville store, to see if they had any roof rakes in stock, I was told "yes". At 11am my wife drove to the store to pick one up, only to be told that "they didn't have any". I phoned the store an hour later and explained what had happened to a supervisor, and he informed me that "they had sold out the evening before and the employee that said they had them was mistaken". He then asked me if my wife had a purple coat, and I said "yes" , he then told me that two roof rakes had been returned and that they put one good one together out of the two returned ones, that my wife had "just left the store with it". Long story short, my wife came home without one because they told her they were sold out, it seems that an hour after she left the store they sold one to another lady with a purple coat !!! I phoned the Belleville store shortly after noon and spoke with a manager (Carol) , All she could do is say she was "sorry" . The treatment that this customer received today from T.S.C. was very sub-standard !

Went to get two pairs of Flex pants that were on sale for $29.99. You would think that if there was a sale on they would put the sale prices on but they don't have any sale prices listed on shelves in store. Seems you just need to guess. While I was there 5 customers left, because the cashiers were taking way to long. The staff try to find things for you but the store is so disorganized with no sale signage. Products is all over the place multiple items of the same thing in different aisles with no updated prices on it. They should close this store and get someone into restructure the entire thing. It is a mess.

Customer srevice and inventory is hit and miss. Kind of frustrating when the staff tell you to come up with the sku number for an item that the website says they have 4 in stock of without them even tryimg to look the item up on their system. Can't get receptiin in the store so i had to leave the store, look up the item on their website and come back in to give them their own sku number. Then they said the Didn't have even thiugh their website said they had 4 in stock. She admitted that their inventory is usually wrong after make a half attemp of looking for the item. I was 1 of 3 people in the store so it's not like they were overly busy.

Store was clean, well organized, shelves tidy. I gave them a three because it was hard to find clerks on the floor at 3 pm on a Saturday. We went there for a tractor seat cover, apparently they no longer sell tractor seat covers. Are they no longer a farm supply company selling farm supplies/tractor supplies now that they are no longer TSC? The closest to a tractor seat in the store was a bar stool with a tractor pan seat on it.

I have been to this store many many times... the customer service is beyond horrible .. it is non existent. I went in looking for the camping wood stove, which I know for a fact the store carries. I asked their customer service associate for one and was told they don't carry camping wood stoves. The very next flyer .. bam there is a camping wood stove on sale. So this associate instead of looking up the product flat out lied right to my face. On another visit I went into this store looking for a propane salamander ... once again I asked this same employee where I could find them... once again I was told they no longer sell them... once again I receive a flyer with low and behold a salamander on sale. I find this store lacking in all departments. Asking for anything is useless, asking for help is like your talking a foreign language. The store manager... is a joke, she has no clue on how to train the employee's or make sure they are doing their jobs. I have asked to speak to her on a few occasions and have been told every time she is busy... at one point I said I would wait... an hour later another employee came over and told me she had left for the day. Good luck shopping at this hell hole!

IF I COULD GIVE A "-100" FOR REVIEW I WOULD!!, This store is an absolute JOKE, I was in the store in June looking for a wheelbarrow, they ended up ordering one for me online and i PREPAID when ordering, it was supposed to take 6weeks to arrive, after waiting the 6 weeks , I called the store and they actually sold it on me to someone else, their excuse was " we only hold items for 10days" then they hung up on my after I asked for a manager and none was available, I PAID FOR THIS ITEM AND THEY SOLD IT ON ME WITH NO CALL TO SAY IT HAD ARRIVED OR ANYTHING, SELL MY WHEELBARROW AND KEEP MY MONEY??? now they say I gotta go to the store to get my refund and then I have to order it online again and wait 6 more weeks, I will never step foot in that store again, very unprofessional and run by very unprofessional ignorant staff!!

Worst TSC I have ever been in. Can't find items that are in flyer. They are not marked. Picked up birdfeeder that said it was on sale. Got to cash and it rang in higher. Would not give me the sale price even though it had sale price on it. Staff have no concept of customer service. Store looks messy and even saw a mouse running around.

This store has a good selection of inventory, however it is messy and not organized as nice as the Simcoe TSC store. The Brantford store also has a smell...probably feed or something which stinks and other TSC stores do not have that smell. Lots of staff are busy and when questioned are not very knowledgeable and always have to go ask someone else. I live in Brantford so I shop here.

I have had my last visit to their store. I have driven to the store on different ocasions after receiving their flyer only to be told sold out,and I find out that some stores dont have any stock thats advertised and some only have one of the items listed in flyer and I have seen to many pepole ask for sale items only to be told sold out they pull this every flyer not just once in a while so the next time you go to get an advertised item and told their out complain we as Canadians ar to placid they wouldn't get away with this in the US

I don’t often do reviews positive or negative but I need to this time. I visited the Brantford store this today about 4pm. We are getting our new puppy tomorrow and need to pick up some essential things to bring him home. My husband and I entered the store together so excited to get the few things we needed. So few things to be excited about right now. As soon as we walked in the door a lady at the cash SNAPPED at us that we could not be together. Only one of us could enter. I totally appreciate that with the current situation! She made one of us leave and totally embarrassed us with her tone and volume the whole store could hear and attitude. Took a moment of happiness from us in one second! I went in did the shopping and she made him leave. While he was outside she came out and approached 2 other couples in line and told them they could not come in. She came back in the store on and her way said to everyone in line rudely “is this Pandemic over yet”. When she came in the store she told the other young lady to watch me! Pointed at me and said she and some guy are trying to shop together. Even tho he was outside waiting for me!! I felt sick to my stomach and just wanted to go home! In this situation we are asked to respect the people working. And I do! But in return the people working need to respect us the consumer too. Its hard for some of us the even be there! We needed to. That said .... the young girl who checked me out was so sweet and told me to enjoy my new puppy. I completely respect to rules put in place in this time but it’s an adjustment to everyone and we all need to treat each other with same respect we expect to get. I’m at home now should be happy to get my new baby but instead this experience is eating me up. I left almost in tears just because my new puppy needed some things to make his new home a home.

Went to buy a outdoor red Jordana conversation set. Paid for it and realized it was damaged on the arm of the loveseat and a leg of a chair was damaged as well. . Asked to speak to the manager and was told by the sales girl that they would take $50.00 off. Asked again to have the manager speak to us and the girl returned she said that 50.00 was the best the manager would offer. He would not come out and speak with us and look at the damage. We then requested a full refund. Bad customer service on the managers part. Please explain what a managers job is...I thought it was to deal with customers concerns and complaints. The other staff were friendly.

Absolute horrible experiences at this location on more then one occasion. Staff have little interest in helping you find items that are later found to be out of stock with no idea when replacements will be in stock. Tried to return some ratchet straps that were unused and was told that they didn't sell them which is BS because I had purchased them there. Manager seemed completely uninterested in listening to my side and actually turned her back on me which ended the conversation. Can honestly say I have never been treated this bad by retail EVER. I complained to corporate HQ and they have the same attitude. Do a search online for employees comments about working for TSC and they will confirm all of what I state in this review. Don't set foot in these stores...go to Home Depot or Lowes---a MUCH better choice!!!!

I went to check-out with an air hose. I got a shock when she rang it in. Turns out the price tag on the shelf didn’t match the hose. They had none as per the tag and there was no tag for the hose I took to the cash register. The description on the tag seemed right but they said it was wrong. No sale.

I go here from time to time. Especially if something is on special. Don't go here out of your way for advertised specials, because 90% of the time they don't have any left and no rain checks. Even if you are there first day of sale. Kind of a joke really.

I shop here often because of the unique product selection. The staff are friendly but I often have difficulty the price on merchandise. I have given up on checking availability online because the inventory is often inaccurate. Sometimes I find product sitting on the shelf when the computer says there is none. Other times it says there is inventory and the store is sold out. Staff never seem surprised by this. It seems like it is normal at this location. I believe this store has very good people but lacks a strong product management system.

Just had an experience at this store that I thought should be noted. Parked in the lot and went and stood in line to get in. One person ahead of me. A shopper left and the guy ahead of me goes in. Now there are no signs of the store policy on how many are allowed in the store so. There are only a handful of vehicles in the lot so I poke my head in the door and ask if Ian allowed in? The young girl at the register snaps back at me to get out and that only 3 shoppers are allowed in the store at a time. I also could not wait in the vestibule behind a door I had to wait outside. I then watched a lady leave the store asked her if I could go in and she said yes go ahead. So I walked in and had the Mgr come running from the back telling me to get out that there are only 3 allowed in the store and I am the 4th. I told her about the lady telling me to go ahead whom I then find out works there as well. Mgr says she doesn’t care and people have been sneaking in all day and I have to leave. I commented on how there is absolutely no signage outside explaining any of this and that her and the first employee were extremely rude. Not that surprised as the customer service here has been horrendous for years. She didn’t care to apologize regarding her demeanor and said I could leave if I wanted. I understand these are odd times and stores are implementing rules.... then post them in the door! And don’t yell at the customers waiting to get in. Customer service is a dying concept none more obvious than here.
