This is a pick up restaurant. I love Indian cuisine. Dal soup and mango chutney here must be from a different part of India that I have eaten at many places before, as they looked, and were made from, different ingredients than “usually” in Indian restaurants. Chilly curry is a very interesting, flavourful and tasty dish. I like spicy food, so some dished I had in spicy and some in medium, and I was satisfied with the level of spice. We’ll definitely do pick up again!

This was the first Indian restaurant I tried when I moved to belleville, and I’ve since tried all the others and India Curry House is still my favourite!! I get something new every time and I’m never disappointed - always fresh and delicious! It’s also less expensive than the other Indian restaurants but don’t let it fool you because their food is great and the people are always kind. It’d also be hard to beat their lunch specials which are awesome!

The best indian food I have ever eaten. And you never get sick of it. Could eat it for days straight. It's a cute atmosphere too since it's just a small place. And all the workers are very friendly. Spice can be customized so dont worry if you dont like spicy things. And the prices are great, especially for the lunch specials.

I visit india curry house regularly and have never had a bad experience. The Staff is always friendly, curry is always tasty and spicy, but the best part is definitely the samosas!! I recommend ordering ahead as it can be busy at any time.

Ordered Lamb Biryani, Chicken Biryani and Veg Samosas. Biryanis are really bad and they tasted more like tomato rice than biryani. Order biryani only if you want to eat tomato rice. Samosas are pathetic too without salt or flavour. We noticed black soot on samosas which would happen only if you are frying in the same oil all day without filtering or changing it. To top it off the really bad taste, non of them are wearing masks or if they are then they are not even covering their nose properly. I haven’t seen anyone in the kitchen wearing gloves and hairnets. I could have given 0 rating if google allowed me to so sticking to one.

Two lunch orders - asked for 1 regular butter chicken and 1 extra mild butter chicken - both were identically spiced (i.e., obviously came from the same batch) - and inedible for the person wanting the extra mild. A real shame that either laziness or greed influenced customer service today. All that needed to be said was that extra mild was not available. Long time customers are now done. Oh, and since the Christmas hiatus, the chicken is shredded versus sliced, the rice is extra chewy and the naan bread is smaller (but still good quality). Almost like the place changed hands ...

They don't know the basic of Chicken biryani. Uncooked Onions on overlooked rice with just turmeric and chilli powder as spices. never had such and experience with Biriyani before anywhere else. They don't even serve a salad or pickle with Biriyani. It's like cheating in the name of food.

I was traveling from Montréal to Toronto and stopped to take lunch here. The food was decent and the restaurant had take out only. No dine in may be due to covid restrictions now. We were a bit late and went in by 3 but the staff were accommodating and took our orders after lunch hours!

Pricing is pretty reasonable, and the portion sizes are good. Food is prepared to order and served hot, with your choice of mild/med/hot for spice, although the exact level of spice I've found can vary day to day. Food tastes good although I've found it could use a bit more seasoning. Definitely recommend here for the quality and price point. Service is friendly. Will be back.

Head chef/ owner has lost his love for cooking! As a frequent flyer of this restaurant I have noticed a steady decline in quality and care put into there food. Many ingredients you can tell are frozen or canned. In the past, dishes were prepared with care and pride. I do not believe this is the case now. The sauces used to be rich and to die for.Naan bread is now a necessity to mop the water up off the plate. Please please please go back to the basics and use fresh local ingredients, take some love and care in your product, and business will make leaps and bounds for the better this I can guarantee. As a customer that has spent as much money at this restaurant as I have I dont feel I should have to beg you for your best because I will pay for your best. I am not a germaphobe by anymeans but I will say that better care also need to be taken in your bathrooms. 4.5 stars for previous visits.

Compared to real indian curry the curry house lacks all luster. I found the food to taste just enough to be Indian. Very watery, the spices were there (in powdered form) but not fresh, the meat tasted soft but almost pre packaged. The rice was good but that's not hard to mess up, could have used some turmeric. If you have never been to India or had the chance to experience real indian food then I could see why there are many 5 star ratings on here. The royal haveti in belleville are the closest to indian I have tried, but dont order there samosas because there about as good as the indian curry house.

I had never eaten Indian before, but my boyfriend had been craving some. I was very nervous as I am not good with spice, a vegetarian, and gluten-free. This can make me difficult to feed at some restaurants, but the waitress was very patient with me, offered her recommendation with the two dishes I thought I might enjoy and double checked items she wasnt positive about when it comes to being gluten free. I ended up with the spinach potato dish... it was made mild-medium spicy (which was spicy, but I could finish it). In terms of the food... i tend to eat very plain food, so this was extremely flavourful. I'm not certain if I really liked it, but I definitely didn't think it was gross as I finished it all. ????????????. But this is a me thing, and not a restaurant thing. Overall a good experience and I would try again.

I absolutely love this place! Although I've never eaten in, every experience I've had has been great! The food stays HOT on the 15 minute drive home and although the portions are HUGE there is never leftovers for the next day (unfortunately) my personal favourites are the Korma (I like it with lamb but is great with chicken too) and the Vindaloo, which is great with chicken and nice and spicy... Like... Really spicy (consider that your warning) really any combination of curry and meat is incredible! Everything is nice and fresh AND tasty! I promise you can't go wrong

Came for lunch. I ordered the chicken korma with rice and a naan (~10.00 ). The flavour of the Korma was quite good. However the presentation was a mess, just slopped over the rice. I much prefer the curry to be in a seperate dish. The chicken portion was a joke....5 little pieces smaller than the end of my thumb. The rest of the curry comprised of "frozen vegetable medley" from the grocery store. I complained, and the server (grudgingly) brought me another (small) portion of chicken. The Naan was ok, although much smaller than I'm used to. The kitchen was FILTHY, I caught a glimpse of it as I went past to use the washroom. If I had known it was that dirty I wouldn't have eaten here. It's too bad there are so many flaws here, because the flavours of the curry again are good. J

I ordered a fairly large meal.. cost me just over $40 and I'll tell you, I wish I had waited for Tanjore to be open. I am not impressed. I remember the curry chicken being creamy and delicious.. it was disgusting. On top of that, the pakora was burnt, the garlic naan was like cardboard.. like c'mon. I could have done a better job in my own kitchen following online guides, ensuring I wouldn't burn my food. Terrible.

In the past, we have enjoyed the food here. Today was a different (and disappointing) story. Ordered just after lunch time (for pick up) 2 butter chicken meals. Asked very specifically for one meal to be 'normal' and the other to be 'very, very mild'. The food was labelled as requested, but both meals were the same - scorchingly hot/spicy. Normally, our request is fulfilled - you can tell because the spicer of the two meals is always darker in colour. Today - both the same colour. Figure the cook was too lazy to make 2 different meals (and seems to lack an understanding as to what 'mild' even means to the avg. customer). You've lost our business. Sad.

Stopped in for a “vegetarian take out” lunch. Exactly at 2:00 pm when lunch ends. The team accommodated my request, within 10 minutes, and I was on my way. There are a few tables to dine in, but today, I was on the go, so couldn’t stay. Friendly, warm and accommodating. The love ❤️ of what they do, was evident to me.

Recently ordered from India Curry House and was very IMPRESSED! As soon as you walk in the door, you are hit with the scents of Indian spices and warm Hospitality. I went to India eight years ago for a month and since coming back and moving to this region, I haven't been able to find a restaurant that is authentic as the dishes delivered by this restaurant. The Samosa with Channa was large enough to be a main course in itself and was very delicious. I also ordered the Chicken Curry (Medium) and that amount you get coupled with the helping of rice was enough for two people! Finally, the Garlic Naan was perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant. VERY WELL PRICED as well! Great Job!

yellow lentils over the skip changed into whole lentils when you open the container. nothing could give you more toothache as their naan breads. it was my birthday and the worst food I could ever had. wasted good sum of money.

I went to this place today afternoon for lunch with my friends as we saw good rating but Honestly this was the WORST PLACE I have ever been for food in Canada. I got shahi panir & panir has Fungus on it. How can they serve food with fungus on it to their customers? Naan was uncooked and was also smelling bad. When I asked the employee over their, they didn't even apologize for it and even saw anger on me for showing their mistake. Who will be responsible if someone get food poisoning by this food? It's about health issue of customers. I will Never go back to this place and not even suggesting to anyone. Please check your food before eating over here.
