Love having a locally owned pet shop near my house! Our dogs eat acana which I either have to go downtown Orillia or Barrie to get. Plus they have a buy 10 get 1 free for your dog food! Works out for us to have a free bag a year!

Excellent service they placed a special order for me I offered to pay for the item they would not even take a deposit. Called me when it arrived, I still took a couple of weeks to collect it. I have never seen so much stock for such small shop and a small business. I highly recommend The Whistle Stop for everything related to animals.

Awesome little place! The owner Pam breeds and raises her own green cheek conures and cockatiels, which means you can visit and pick your own baby. Prices are very competitive, with a huge range of products for everything from dogs to reptiles. Many of the treats and toys are made locally in Canada as well! If you live in town or are passing through, it's definitely a great place to check out!

I was 2 or 3 hours from home, headed camping with my pup - but forgot his harness and leash (he enjoys life in the nude). Pam saved our trip and was very pleasant to boot! The current state of the world prevented me from being able to peruse the store myself, but Pam took time to put options in the window for me to choose from. Above-and-beyond service and great highway access, too. ????

This seemingly small pet shop has a massive selection of natural pet products for a wide variety of pets. Pamela is extremely knowledgeable about her products and has a passion for animals that shows. She also often has a few different critters, birds and fish available to add to your family! This family owned and operated pet store is worth the drive from town, they carry many brands not offered at larger pet shops. If they don't have what you need they are often more than willing to order it in. I love Whistle Stop Pet Shop!

The Whistle Stop Pet Shop is not just a pet supply store - it's an experience! Due to covid, we were not able to shop this store - but by phoning and having the owner, Pam, ask the right questions and make suggestions, we were able to get all of our new puppy needs met. I have recommended this family owned business to anyone who speaks of pet needs. It is on the way to Mount St. Louis ski hill. It is 10 minutes north of Barrie, in a charming little village of Craighurst. Also, it is just off of the 400!
