Drove here from Niagara region, really wish I hadn’t. There was one person working. There was a dog to large for the space along with having customers in the store as well (very friendly dog). I noticed a few animal seem to be in enclosure that maybe to small for the size or species. I also noticed that enclosures were dirty. And the air smelt stagnant and musty. I have a local reptile shop we’re I live but was passing thru and thought I would give it a chance to help out the local community I grew up in. Sadly I was disappointed. Visited this shop on a few occasions, every time I have been less than impressed. I purchased crickets for my leopard gecko and they were not healthy crickets. They died within 2 days. Today I went in looking for a new leopard gecko and I was blown away with the way they treat their animals. The owner told me flat out that he never handles any animals, he then proceeded to pull out a gecko by its tail and dangle it in front of me, which anybody who knows anything about reptiles know that you don't do since they can have their tail fall off. He proceeded to drop him back in and did the same with 2 other geckos as well, until I stopped him and said I was no longer interested in buying one. And the kicker was that his prices were insane, and the ages he told me were completely off. I will never shop here again, and I recommend others don't either.

Crickets are better price than everywhere else in the area, animals are over priced and so is reptile accessories cages are dirty and unkept. Animals aren’t socialized either. I had a friend who picked up a garter snake from the wrangler and was super mean and aggressive. Imagine if this were someone buying their first reptile ? They would be turned off of reptiles for a while thinking they’re mean. Imagine if this was picked up as a family pet and ended up biting a child.

Every week I'm in to get stuff for my dragon sometimes out of horned and silk worm's but that's ok always always have crickets and normally super worms, as long as people from city come up clean him out and nothing left for his regular customers. But otherwise totally recommend to go here.

I wouldn't really recommend going anywhere else but here for your reptile needs. The owner Cares about his animals and customers. Solid advice and products. Bugs / feeders are fresh and stay alive for a long time. The selection of reptiles and amphibians are hard to beat anywhere in the GTA. They also breed some of their own stock which is really cool and a sign of good herp husbandry. Keep it up and support local or gems like this will disappear forever.

I go here regularly for crickets. Best price in the area. Every time, I do a whole sweep around the store, they have an good setup considering the size of their store and the variety of reptiles is surprisingly good. Again, Prices are great, and the customer service is second to none. Highly recommend, simply for the tour of the lizards or getting your basic lizard needs. Only downside is the repertoire of accessories, pet smart has more options when it comes to cages and such, but the owner has no qualms recommending a competitor if he doesn't have an item in stock.

Reptiles seem to be kept very well; knowledgeable and helpful staff. Lots of supplies including enclosures, live vivarium plants, substrate, etc. Prices are comparable to other stores that sell reptiles, (sometimes, but not always, prices are a little more. But remember you are paying for healthy, well-cared-for animals and good advice, which most pet stores don't offer). Would recommend.

Poor service, high prices. $45 for a box of super worms? Are you kidding, everyone else charges $30. He lies about the age of reptiles in his store and tries to sell them at ridiculous prices. If you don't know any better he will take complete and full advantage of you, I know a few amateurs that made the mistake of doing business with the wrangler and got ripped off.

He doesn’t take proper care of his animals He is lazy and doesn’t clean His frozen rats are served to you in paper bags which is absolutely disgusting (the literally sweat through the bag on the drive home) People like this give the reptile community a bad name It is a shame that this uneducated person operates the only shop in town

I ordered axolotls from these guys and was advised that it would take a month or so which is fine. Needless to say it's been over a year and heard nothing. I called several times to follow up but no one ever answers the phone. I tried to message them on FB but still no response. I have recently been trying to get a hold of them to see if they have black worms but...surprise! no answer and the VM is full so I can't even leave a message

Wish I knew about this place sooner. I went to another pet store looking for reptile supplies and they told me about reptile wrangler. So I Went there looking for a corn snake. Staff answered all my questions even though I told them I just bought all supplies I needed somewhere else... The wrangler will take full advantage of you if you don’t know what your talking about. Also prices are through the roof and bugs are never healthy. Guy at the desk has a attitude and the animals are in basically dollarama bug cages. I’ve seen animals here for months in tiny conditions

Is there anyway I can give this place no stars? I went there for a heat lamp for my terrarium and he told me that I could simply put it on top of the tank and it would be fine. Well I did as he said and went next door to my friend's place for 2 hours and the lamp had melted the top of the terrarium.... If I had been gone any longer, the house would have caught fire. I'd rather turn my a.c off then use the lamp that heats up so fast I'm afraid to turn it on. Don't go to him. He will take advantage of you and lie to you. I feel so stupid for believing this p.o.s

Amazing! First discovered The Reptile Wrangler a year ago, and will be a customer for life. Staff are fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. I was new to reptiles and it didn't many how many times I would visit the store or how many 100s of questions I would ask, the owner and staff would always answer them to the fullest to be sure I knew what I was getting into. Their passion for reptiles and educating people about them is what sets them apart. Great variety of animals all extremely well cared for! Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Those who have had "poor" experiences that didn't inflict it upon themselves with their own agenda and attitude towards the store, I encourage you to revisit and rethink your stand on this place and the staff. These guys can and WILL offer way more than a Petsmart or comparable store ever will!! Thank you guys, you've fuelled my passion for reptiles as well, something I will keep with me forever!
