From the very first meeting with Kat she has always taken the time to share her extensive knowledge about how to care for Jack our Lab Collie mix puppy. All of her staff have also taken their time with us never making us feel rushed or that any of our questions were silly. We always feel remembered and that goes a long way ensuring our continued business with them. We buy all of our puppies food, treats, harness, leash...all that Jack needs Kats store supplies. Her prices are reasonable and so far we feel everything purchased is of high quality. My dog LOVES this store because it's smaller and has some quieter times that are good for coming in to get some pets and treats. We like to stop by when we go to Shoppers every couple weeks and grab a nylabone and/or cow ears. Maple is noticeably disappointed if we don't stop here ????

Staff was to preoccupied with their phone to be any help. Edit Oct 2020 I'm all about making things right and this store has done just that. We have been struggling with getting our 5 month old cane corso/pressa mix pups diet under control. The girls at the store spent some time and deduced that her current diet may be to high in protein and have put us on a different food. (The Performatrin brand). They have even offered to return the new food if it doesn't agree with her and help us find the right food. To answer the question you may be asking , yes we have consulted a vet and have ruled out parasites and gi tract issues. Our vet is sure it's diet related.

I was interested in shampoos for my fur baby & the lady that grooms the pets there came out & helped me pick the perfect shampoo for what was need & gave me helpful advice to make the product last as long as possible as well as easier to use. I called 3 times to place an order for pickup and I went to the store to try and place my order there and the young lady told me I wasn't allowed too and had to call to place my order. And kept telling me they were busy but no one was doing anything but came out To help someone place their order at the table... I called again after 3 times and no one still didn't pick up. Great location with lots to select from. My girlfriends father had just got a dog so we were looking at dog harnesses. We were in on Christmas eve and the store manager had no problem taking the time to help us and see what worked best on the dog. Multiple staff members were in on taking pictures with the puppy and gave him a treat to take home. The only issue I ever have with Pet Valu is finding a large aquarium section, it just seems like its not their area of expertise.

Just went to the self serve dog Wash station on Wellington Street. I usually go to Angus. I should have went there. The Wellington one is not set up properly and they gave me a blow dryer for a person to dry my dog. The towels were all stained and there was no harness to use on my dog in the tub. The only good part was that the girl working was very nice and helpful. If you want to bath your dog, go to Bayfield or Angus.
