I am very disappointed in the store in the last month. We arrived today at 11:30 am today, Thursday , the day the sale begins and were very disappointed in the meat and frozen food aisles, there was no ground beef, and the selection of fresh meat was minimal, considering this is a long weekend. The Chapman freezer section was scant. I could understand if this was Saturday but the first day of the sale. I was also disappointed with the lack of Canadian produce. We finished our shopping at Food land. We have been finding our shopping at Food land more successful. Food land also casries more Canadian products. I have been finding No Frills is always short on sale products. I actually discussed this with another customer in Food land, whom had just left No Frills for the same reasons.

Comparing this to No Frills from Toronto, Kingston, or other cities I'd have to say it was very clean, well organized and very cheap prices. Even though we stopped in on a Monday afternoon, it was pretty busy but still had short lines. More cashiers than I'd normally see in the city, so that was great.

Do you make appearances to places and should not the staff make them either put the mask on or tell them to leave? It is to small for the amount of customers. You will get your ankles smashed on pay day and the 20th of every month. It has good deals but the produce is borderline as far as quality. They have to much pork and burger mix which happened a few months ago. They need more burger.

Your typical No Frills store, there are no frills. We visited during Covid-19 and found them to be extremely well organized and they surpassed our expectation when it came to "health and safety precautions". Because Bancroft is at the centre of cottage country, we expected prices to be jacked up to some degree only to find out that we were wrong. We found great produce (local corn on the cob and cucumbers) as well as quality meat. They did not have marshmallows - haha - that is the only complaint we had (but to be fair, it was the same back home in Ottawa, our grocery stores were sold out as well - it must be the new reality of "covid-stay-cation".

Terrible store. Since No Frills opened I've watched this store decline over time. Hard to get certain products, always sold out of items, shelves are empty. Staff isn't very helpful or overly friendly. Management/owners don't seem to care about the inconvenience this causes customers. When asked about new stock/products, you are always told its because of the delivery truck. Best answer ever: the truck got lost. haha

I live in Apsley and purposely drive to Bancroft to do my weekly shopping at Pepin's. It is my favourite grocery store. On the rare occasion I have had an issue with a product/service, my concerns were immediately resolved to my total satisfaction. No muss/no fuss. I think it is true with any popular establishment that it might not be fun during peak periods. I plan my trips to avoid these times.

I drove for one hour to get to your store today as I usually like to shop there and it's worth the drive for me. I spent over an hour doing my shopping planning to use points ...the cashier rings up my stuff and at that moment I find out that the points system was down....it was so very busy in there...nobody was able to do anything with points.....somebody should have made an announcement about this to us shoppers. Thank goodness I had cash on me or I would have had to leave everything there. But my budget was not including me spending 100.00 cash out of pocket! Very poor policy you have or lack there of.

The worst produce Ive ever dealt with in a grocery store. I've gotten two bags of carrots now (one tonight) that were mushy and mouldy inside the bag. A cucumber that went bad in three days. The broccoli always looks 'off'. This is over a 9 month period since I moved back to town. This is not an uncommon happening. I was warned about Bancroft No Frills produce a while ago. I didn't listen. For canned goods, the prices are okay and the store has nice enough staff. Place feels clean. But even though Foodland is a bit more expensive (their sales on meat products are better than No Frills however), I will be buying all my produce exclusively from them from now on. And probably my other stuff since it'll just be convenient. Never again. Clean up your act and stop assuming people will buy your mouldy food because they are without options.

Good prices and the best selection of fresh produce in Bancroft. However, parking is terrible and you need .25 for a shopping cart. Also very narrow aisles and claustrophobic inside.

Many items out of stock, bare shelves, not enough cashiers!!!!! I usually shop at no frills in Bancroft but today I made an unexpected stop there as we where at the hospital earlier, went and did my shopping went through the checkout line as usual cashiers have nothing to say other then your total and how would u like to pay! So fine whatever I just want to get my stuff and get out but when I turned to see there was no boxes and the cashier had not given any bags (which yes this happens they run out of boxes and give u bags) the lady behind me had already paid for hers and said to the cashier no boxes? Cashier replied no u have to pay for bags! The lady looked at me and said u probably already paid for yours, me myself I do not and will not pay for a bag! So i said to the cashier where are the boxes her response we won't supply bags for the summer month u must pay for bags! So yes thank u so much as u ran me through the checkout said nothing and did not even bother to ask me if I wanted bags so now if I did I would have to pull my card out to just pay for bags ???? not happening so I took a full shopping cart to my car with no bags and no boxes if I would have known this before paying for my items I would have went to foodland instead! ???????????? royaly pissed and no impressed! Do not expect me back ????

Very crowded. No room to get around. Store is WAY to small to accomadate the products. People pushing and shoving. Not well organized. Frozen food at one end . Meat at other end. Products plugging up isles.

Cheapest place for groceries in the area. However the staff could be friendlier and the meat selection could be better. Bakery section gets picked over quickly, they sell out of hot dog/hamburger buns etc.
