This place was fantastic! We couldn’t find any bait shops open so late on a Sunday so we were lucky to come across this outdoor store that had a vending machine that allowed you to obtain a key to unlock a box where you can get worms and live minnows. It was easy and straightforward.

Friendly, and very respectful. Given all the time we wanted to look at new and used fire arms. Every question we asked was answered politely, when wandering around the shop any time we had a question someone was nearby. Would definitely go back, and will return to buy in the future. We visited 4 other hunting/gun stores in the Kingston/Belleville area and this one was by far the friendliest and most informed.

Visited early this summer, owner seemed very nice. Bought a scope for my sons gun , explained what it was for and for which gun, sold me a used scope for an airsoft gun at same price as it is instore new...actually he charged us 10 $ more. Not sure why you'd risk customers for such a small profit..

Called Friday to look for a browning AB3 stalker, said I'll be there this weekend. Didn't make Saturday, look at their website, said was open 10am-2pm Sunday. Drove 2 hours from Toronto to find the store closed. Called the "head office" number on their sign, some guy picks up and tells me it's his cell and he's half owner. Tells me to call his brother who owns the store, gives me his cell, I called, the number I was given wasn't in service. I called Monday morning to ask about their hours and flat our tell the owner of the Belleville store your websites says you're open Sunday's! His reply was "yea, we gotta fix that. It's been 3 years since we've closed on Sunday's just haven't updated the website. Sorry" really couldn't give a crap that someone waster about 4.5 hours of their day to find their doors locked. And certainly didn't offer any type of discount if I were to return to his shop. I'm in Belleville a lot and would rather skip and miss out fishing, hunting or shooting than to return to this establishment to give them a nickle of my money. Absolutely disgusting customer service (on the phone) wouldn't waste my time even on their website.

I have called twice, been twice, and recieved amazing genuine service evertime. This is my favorite store in the area. If u wanna spend ur money local this is the place..... prices were under 4 bucks from internet prices.

Although it takes a few minutes to adjust to the poor light when you walk in the door Cheshers outsoor store is certainly worth the visit. An incredibly knowledgeable staff thats willing to take the time to listen and address all your hunting and fishing needs. Compound all that with a great selection of merchandise for everything Archery, firearms and fishing makes every visit a great experience.

My initial review still holds as far as friendly and knowledgeable staff, they are great in that department. But as of my last visit I am finding their reliability in ordering very lacking. I ordered a Lee case length gauge, something that should not take more than a week to get in, we are on week two now. I could have ordered this from ebay or direct and got it faster. The original purchase order was not put in for some reason and had to be corrected after I arrived on pick up day to get it. Now .. two weeks later I am still waiting for a simple common item. Common guys you can do better than this.
