I bought by 2018 renedage 850 base model from Bancroft sport and marine in March 2018. I was told since I bought the 2018 Renegade 850 from them brand new I could get accessories installed on the first service for free. Sounded great! So I pre ordered/ paid for my snorkel and the first service in August since I had the money at that time and would have likely spent it before the first service. I was told that they would order the snorkel and keep it in stock for me until it came time for the service. I went in and talked to someone November 28th 2018 about booking my ATV in for its first service and to get the snorkel installed. Dec. 1st 2018 I dropped my ATV off at Bancroft sport and marine and was told it will be done on or before Dec. 7th 2018. I did not hear from them until Dec. 28th 2018, on that day I received a phone call and they said the wrong snorkel had been ordered (an outlander snorkel) and that mine is on order and will be in and ready to go by Jan 7th 2019. I asked to be called if anything changes so I don’t drive all that way for something that’s not ready. I arrived Jan7th 2019 to the surprise of my ATV not being done. They claimed the snorkel “ARRIVED” on this day (Jan 7th 2019) and that it was “CURRENTLY BEING WORKED ON.” They then said it will be ready tomorrow (Jan 8th 2019). We called Jan 8th to confirm it was complete before making the drive again and they claimed the snorkel was on back order, when we stated that a person yesterday told us it was in and being worked on the story changed to “the snorkel is in but the adapter for the 2018/ 2019 models was forgotten and that it will arrive between Jan 11th 2019 and Jan 16th 2019. We were also told that “they are doing us a huge favour and we shouldn’t be upset.” (I didn’t know a buying insentive was a huge favour to me? I would have 1. Bought else where or 2. Paid someone else to install the snorkel) So we called Jan 15th for an update on if the part came in (since they fail to make the effort of communicating, we have to make all the calls) turns out THEY NEVER HAD THE SNORKEL in and now it’s on back order until Feb. 20th 2019!! So I picked up my ATV Jan 16th 2019 got refunded for the snorkel and now I’m forced to go elsewhere. Also no one would look me in and eyes and I didn’t get a single apology when I was there. ZERO COMMUNICATION!! If there was less stars than a 1 star I would give it to them. Response to your response Jan 17th 2019 I paid $14,156.64 for a base model renegade 850. This is an average price. Not competitive. Yes you offer me a 10% discount I didn’t realize this meant I was going to be treated poorly for the $50.00 off/ free labor I would have gone else where and payed full price to get proper service and communication. I paid full price for my first service, I can bring the receipt in to show you! So don’t tell me I got this for free.. I paid for it when I paid for the snorkel. Check your facts/ invoices. I was call by George on Dec. 28th and at this point is when he told me the wrong snorkel was ordered and the new one was on its way and to be done on Jan9th and I would be informed if anything changes. I stick to my original post of time lines whether you chose to deny this or not. I have a snorkel that I am picking up from Bay Marine tomorrow because they HAVE IT IN STOCK. This 2015 renedage you speak of is not mine and has nothing to do with this review but if you would like one done on that it can be done because there was a huge LACK OF COMMUNICATION there as well.

Bill is great with the sales pitch. His family is great and everyone is friendly and helpful. The only downside to our experience has been seeking to obtain both the financial documents and bill of sale. We sent texts and emails to ask for these but nothing was sent. Finally Bill responded with, “What’s your number to call yoi”...after I plainly asked for the financial documents and bill of sale. There was nothing to speak about, it was a simple response he should have made of, “Yes, you are right, we’ll get copies and send them to you. How would you like them sent, via email or through Canada Post?” The situation would have been fully resolved with that. Now that I’ve written this, I’m certain that someone will come on here to respond to this and justify their actions or the utter lack thereof. It’s okay, if you believe them then that is your loss not mine. We have already contacted everyone in our trailer park area to advise them to purchase their CAN AM machines out of the area and not to go to Bancroft Sport and Marine. We have even contacted BRP Head Office to log a complaint and demand for the documents we have not yet received from the Bancroft Sport and Marine. With a proper bill of sale, I’m pretty much riding a stolen ATV. Next step is involvement of the local authorities to have them get the documentation that we have full legal right to have. PS: Aaaah, look folks...the very response I fully expected and predicted! Yes Mr. White, we have the photograph you took of the bill of sale that we sent to the insurance company but they have repeatedly and continue to request the original. I’ve logged a complaint already with BRP Canada to investigate this matter and to get the financial documentation and paper copy of the bill of sale. You’ve shot yourselves in the foot by insinuating that we are liars and making false claims. As a military member, I take great pride in serving my country and pride in representing the uniform - I take pride in honesty and truth. I’m of the habit of praising good service and if you had taken a moment to read what I had written vice becoming aggressive and slanderous, you would have clearly understood that all we had an issue with is not getting the documentation that I had contacted you about several times. It was a very straight forward issue and even simpler to resolve. The fact that you’ve decided to try to make us look like idiots and incompetent folks has really shown your absolute true colours Mr. White. I’ll make certain to spread your fame about the entire Haliburton county area and beyond. As my wife astutely observed, it’s ironic that you seem to have plenty of time on your hands to respond to reviews and actively discredit folks but lack the time to respond to the minor requests that we put forth. A request so small in nature that it could have avoided all of this mess. PSS: Concerning the bill of sale which you took a picture and somehow thought that would suffice. Our insurance company still is hounding us for an actual paper version or they will cancel our insurance on the ATV! Thanks once again for all you attention to the details and such immaculately impeccable customer care after the sale.

Lies about parts being in when they aren’t. So when you take the time to bring in your machine you’re just wasting your time because they aren’t even organized to know whether the part is actually there or not. Owner is very rude and yells at costumers. Very unprofessional. Also they don’t stick with the price they quote originally. No matter what they tell you when you get the final bill or sales papers it’s more than what they say. It’s worth the extra drive to go to another dealership.

They go the extra mile just to make sure your a Happy Customer. I bought a 2014 1200 renegade. I get them both serviced every year at this establishment and I never have problems during the season they go over everything and grease it right up. Thanks for the years an years of great service.

AVOID THIS MARINA AT ALL COSTS: Absolutely horrific customer service. I purchased a brand new Starcraft pontoon boat from Bancroft Marine, at a cost of $48,000 in 2015. All was great during the purchase, however once the boat was delivered, it all went downhill. It would appear that my boat was not prepped and was delivered with a magnitude of defects. Further, I didn't receive any of the extras I was promised (anchor & extra table for the boat). When the boat was delivered it had wires hanging into the water, torn fuel line, torn conopy, broken stereo, broken throttle, side panel falling off, sink that didn't work, sink faucet that wasn't secured and a few other defective items. After contacting Bill at Bancroft Marine a minimum of 20 times ( he will never return phone calls or emails) I finally was told the items would be repaired. The entire boating season passed with no repairs. I booked a total of 5 service calls, to have them just not show up. I was promised a full repair over the winter and that the boat would be delivered in the spring in perfect condition. After placing 5 phone calls prior to the delivery to ensure it would be ready, they promised all was done. The boat was delivered in the exact same condition with NO repair work done. I called Bill 6 more times to only be shrugged off and told that he is too busy. He basically just lies and tells you what you want to hear to get you off the phone, he doesn't care about his customers at all. He doesn't have any intention of actually completing the work. After escalating and contacting Starcraft directly in the USA, they have promised to have the work completed. I'm still waiting with fingers crossed. Interesting enough, he never even submitted any of the warranty requests to Starcraft. It's clear, he didn't intend on doing the work. Avoid this marina at all costs, it's simply horrific service and an owner who doesn't know a thing about running a company.

Bought a pontoon boat going on the third year and still waiting for warranty work to be done that they promised would look after me. Talked to the owner in July and he said that they would look after it and contact me. Guess what no contact at all. Would not be recommending this dealer to anybody’s seems they got there money and your on your own. Let’s see if they read this and actually contact me and fix these problems!

How they think its ethical practice to sell a $40,000 boat then refuse to give proof of purchase/bill of sale is insane. Out and out lying to paying customers, not honouring warranty when the boats less than 4 months old. Disgusting. Dont waste your time or money on this place.

Absolute worst service! I own a cottage in the bancroft area and own a 2014 Can Am Max 1000 XT. I was warned by many people in that area not to take my ATV to Bancroft Sport & Marine, as the service is awful. When I took my ATV in, I spoke with the owner Bill about the rumours and he assured me this is not how they treat customers and it was because of an old partner - so I took his word. I dropped off my ATV in mid-November to get service and picked up on my trailer. When I got back to my cottage, I decided to ride up down the lane and noticed a loud rattling sound near the front - I called Bill right away and he assured me he will have his tech come out to look at it. That day I was heading back home, so I dropped the ATV keys with Bill and he can go up anytime to look at the ATV.... In December, I called 3 times leaving a message with reception for Bill to return my calls and nothing! Finally, I called back after Christmas and Bill answered and gave me some excuse and promised he would call me right back.... well... he didn't! January 6th, 2017, I decided to pop in unannounced and walked straight to Bill's office, when he saw me, it looked like a deer in the headlights! I requested for my keys, he had nothing to say to me, just got up to get my keys, on his way back, I expressed how disgusted I was in the service and how the rumours were true! He want on wanting to try and fix it ...foolishly, I accepted and once again promised he will have his tech come out. It's not January 18th, 201 and nothing! I was going to be purchasing a pontoon and seadoo from him in the spring... clearly he does not understand customer service and value of a long term customer! I am shocked they are still in business, considering the rumours going around! I spent $300 and received my ATV back worse than when I took it in!

Brought in my atv to get it ready for the season with a $225 full inspection, $900 dollars later they said it was all fixed and ready to go. I got the atv with a rear break light not working and the shifter broke off when I got it home. I took it to another dealership that had to fix the above mentioned issues as well as new break pads and break disc as they were bent and the drive shaft was out of alignment. Apparently a very easy issue to find in any basic inspection. Extra $500 cost from the second repair. I spent $225 at Bancroft to find these issues which they clearly skipped. After calling and speaking with the owner3 seperate occasions he has said he would get back to me and still no contact.

I picked up a brand new Can Am Maverick Trail from Bancroft Sport and Marine in June 2021 and experienced great service from this dealer. They had unfortunately found an issue with the machine (the manufacturer’s fault, not their own) and fixed it right away. I would recommend their services to anyone.

After many other stops before going to sport and marine. We were fed up and ready to quit. We talked to a person behind cash that was not in sales and she gave us a quote and went over what we were looking for. We than waited for the sales guy and he showed us the best deal and what would work for us. We never expected to get such great service. We got approved and had the bike in our possession in a week. Buyers beware! This business will use your credit card as their piggy bank without ever telling you! I bought a brand new boat from Bill White at the Toronto Boat Show in January 2018, and gave him my credit card for the deposit. The boat was deliver in June, I gave the delivery guy a certified cheque for the outstanding balance as agreed. Everything was good until I noticed a charge of $126.24 on my credit card on the following week. After numerous emails and phone calls, Bill White told me that his staff miscalculated the balance by $100, but could never explain what the extra $26.24 was. When I asked him why this had never been mentioned to me and instead he decided to charge my cc after the fact and behind my back, he became very agitated and accused me of cheating him out of his money! Totally uncalled for and disgraceful! I gave two stars to this business only because the delivery guy was very nice and gave me a good tour of the boat. If not for him, this business and its owner Bill White don't deserve any stars at all!

I was very disappointed in my recent visit to this marina.. Last fall, I brought my 5hp motor to be serviced. I was told in November that it was ready. Once I collected, I was advised of services performed and paid nearly $400 for the repair. As it was November, I did not have a chance to test the motor and stored it. This spring, I tried to use the motor and it failed to start.. When I returned it to the marina, I was advised there was no compression!! How did that happen?? I was accused of using the motor. I tried to explain that wasn't the case, and I have not used it since it was collected.. Neither the service department, or the owner would assist.. I was told to pack my motor up and leave! I am 75 years old. I carried my motor to the car and now have nothing. There was no offer to refund my money or to assist with any other option. I am very disappointed. This was by far the worst service and treatment I have ever received in my years..

I Put a review similar to this up and they promised if I took it down they would respond in 2 days to get back to me with results for a 2021 seadoo !! Called for a part that I had the # for already. They were very pleasant on the phone and said it would be in the following day. GREAT! PERFECT! Three days later I called to confirn before making the trip to pick it up and was told they would check and call back right away. I heard nothing. Called again later in day and was told the same thing. Heard nothing. Next day called again and told the same thing. No call back. Emailed hoping someone else would get it and reply. Heard nothing. The following week called again and was told the same thing. "We will call right back" heard nothing. Next call 1 hr later I stayed on the line while they looked and was told they couldn't get the part because it was showing as vintage but another place had one. They said they would see if they could get it and what the price would be since they would have to add shipping and let me know. 4 days later still have heard nothing. My atv was bought there new but my next one won't be. Oh, I did managed to get the part delivered in my hands in less than 48 hrs from another ATV shop.

well 3 short weeks ago i bought a sea doo spark for my kid for xmas,and also a used 850 XRS .We live in yellowknife so these toys where bought over the phone . well i tell you i just pick both of them up today from shipping . bill told me they where mint but come on........ you couldnt tell they where used or just traveled across canada they where mint and all waxed and serviced to go . thanks bill for you honestly and top notch service we will be buying again for sure . ps thanks for the hats and hoodies mike

Terrible customer service. I was told a date and time to pick up new Grand Touring but Bill didn’t have the paperwork and registration complete. He told me 15 minutes. 3 hours later he told me to head home and he’d mail the registration. I just brought in sled to have serviced and to check what is drawing down battery. (Battery dead from first day I brought home) They told me all fixed up and I return home (an hour away) just to find the battery is still dead. I’ve called numerous times and every time I’m told that they will call me back shortly and they don’t. Very disorganized, terrible communication. I love skidoo but I’m considering switching to Polaris because I know Bonters in Marmora have exceptional after sales service. BRP should drop Bancroft Sport and Marine as an authorized dealer if they can’t provide reasonable service. Bill - after sales service is important if you want customers to return.

New boat purchase experience awful. Promises of “we can do that” “we can add that”. Any add ons are difficult to price out. Follow ups are a nightmare. Saturdays hours of operation are not convenient especially if you have your boat delivered on a Saturday and there is travel time for them. We told them this is our firstboat ever. They said their experienced guy will take us out and show us all the boat features on the water when they deliver it. We will register your boat number etc etc. You will be all set. They registered boat with a typo in our name. Had to follow up many times to get the paperwork and to get the correction. So the day arrives for boat delivery (we are 1.5 hr or more drive away). We receive a call from Bill’s wife around 10:30am they are leaving. So now it is almost 12:30pm when boat arrives. Boat is dropped into water we don’t know anything and are trying to maneouver it around. Finally experienced guy jumps on and helps us by parking it in our dock. We go over some of the items on the boat and notice wires dangling under steering column. There are buttons that experienced guy was not sure on either. We didnt get all the manuals for the boat. Clearly not cleaned properly as we saw under seats still old leaves and other dirt. So we were very disappointed. By the time we went out for a short boat ride with the experienced guy and came back we started reviewing the boat in more detail. Now we see there is damage to boat (nothing that made it inoperable but the point is its a Brand New Boat). Now it is almost closing we didnt have much time to call the office regarding missing items and damage to boat. What a horrible stressful delivery day. Obviously not reviewed prior to delivery! Very disappointing and frustrating experience overall. Promises not kept. VERY DIFFICULT to get timely answers and responses on queries. Do Not Recommend Place because of OVERALL customer service. One person doesnt know what the other person has promised or conveyed. Just to add in the end (one season of boating later). Madison (cheers to her efforts) did get all the problems corrected so that we were satisfied that everything was now complete.

Great Service. Bought a side x side here. Great staff and there was no bs and the price was right. More than willing to help out with accessories if you buy a bike from them. Had two warranty issues that were addressed and resolved instantly. George is excellent to deal with, and extremely knowledgeable. Can-am was not my brand but so far I'm convinced.

I called on a Monday to see if I could have a pull cord replaced on my motor. They said no-problem we can have it done by Friday and it would cost about $9 for the cord and about $70 to $80 for the labor. So I call Friday to see if it was ready it was. Super excited!!!! Right!! NOT!!! It ended up costing $140. $8.99 for the cord $115 for the loabe... Then I go to use it pull three time on the cord and the handle falls off. I call them and talked tosales representative who was somewhat rude then made me drive an hour back into town to get it fixed because he said it could be something wrong with our handle which they just were looking at when they fixed the cord!!! So we bring it back to them they say it'll be about half an hour to fix. The sale guy ignores us and then when he did finally talk to us says "well stuff happens, have a good one!!!! Great customer service. NOT!!!!!
