This is a pretty good fish place.. the fish is always fresh and not smelly. The portions are huge ... two piece dinner is enough for two people. The only down side I’ve noticed is the fries are over cooked and super hard ! But maybe next time I will ask them to under cook the fries... 3 rd visit They probably have the worst chowder in the world ... three of us bought it and we had to walk away from it... tasted like wallpaper paste...

Great meal and exceptional service. Husband had the gluten free cod and gluten free onion rings. He was very happy to have gluten free fried food. He said the onion ring breading was well seasoned. I had cod and poutine. Everything was delicious. The young man who took our order was exceptionally pleasant. This is not close to where we live at all but we will make sure to go back!

The cod was, so so. The fish portion was small and the batter had little to no flavor (the oil tasted old) and they really needed to let it rest before putting it on my fries, there was so much grease. It pooled at the bottom of my basket and soaked through all my fries (which weren't really cooked all the way through) but the staff was friendly, place was neat to look at, but a little weirded out that I had to pay before my meal though..

Had to enjoy this delicious meal outside in my car, but well worth it, great service even better food, the employee even came back outside to bring us forks and knifes, then he came out a third time to make sure we didnt need anything else, above and beyond! We ordered two of the big platters on the day they were discounted. Plenty of food for 4 persons. Great fish n chip place, plus UK beers as well. Multiple types of fish to choose from. Fries are handmade. Had to prepay for the food, so it's like a fast food place even though it's a restaurant.

Good value for what you get. We had the sole, cod and haddock. 2 pieces each with the fries. The fish was huge and very tasty and the fries were delicious. But next time we will order 1 piece of fish and not 2. We were stuffed after eating 2 pieces and some of the fries. We will definitely be back next time we camp in Devon

After reading all these raving reviews and being a fish lover myself I had to stop in, was told by the young girl at front that haddock is what I should go with, So I did. My drink came out right away and was cold, great start. 15-20ish min later I received my rather small extremely greasy portion of fish and fries so over cooked it was like eating bark.. not once did either of the employees who were working come to check how things were.. unfortunately I had a flight to catch so I ate what I could of what was eatable.. after driving away I really wish that I had said something ... so this is now I am writing this post as I have never done before or if so not in a very long time.... not sure if it was what seem to be laid back in experienced personnel that was working but rather disappointed..????

I was REALLY excited to find a place that had so many GF options. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed and found that the batter was very hard/bland and everything was completely tasteless. After a few bites we just couldn't do it, decided to get up and leave our food. Even the water tasted awful. The one positive is that they gave us a refund with no questions asked. I did feel bad as I know restaurants are struggling but I was not going to drop fifty bucks on a meal that I couldn't even choke down. They need to up their game!!

I've given Superior Fish &Chip's two chances, the first time they forgot our two sides and no tartar sauce, napkins etc. So we made do since we lived 30 miles away. The second time, one piece of Cod was unedable from the grease, it litterly fell apart and the gravy was like black tar. Sorry but true. I wouldn't go back as I enjoy good fish and chips somewhere else for that price.

Happened upon this place after taking a wrong turn in Devon Alberta. What a delight to have found this gem. First impression clean. Plenty of parking. Great menu for the British style chip shop. Cod was perfect. Pasty was great, sausage in batter to good to miss. I would recommend this place it is worth the drive from Edmonton area. Will be back soon. Try it you will love the food. And they serve Beer, Tea and Pop.

We have never been so disappointed in a meal. Today we ordered gluten free battered mushrooms and their platter with fish, onion rings and french fries. The batter was extremely salty - so much so that I complained to the cook who unfortunately did not understand English well enough to comprehend the issue and do anything about it. We continued eating, trying to drown the salt out with ketchup but both my wife and myself began getting quite nauseated. We took most of the food home where we hope to be able to somehow salvage it - perhaps we'll try to peel the salty batter off. We drove almost an hour to eat there and paid almost $70.00 for a horribly salty meal that ended up making us sick. Never again.

First time picking up food here so decided to try a bunch of things. Some haddock, cod, oysters, haggis, fries, and onion rings. Every thing was excellent. My family would have finished it all if not for the generous portions. Personally my favourite was the fried oysters - super flavourful and lightly battered. Has a big stamp of approval from me and my family. Ps try the curry sauce, it’s got a nice sweetness that is delicious with the fried seafood.

Superior Fish and Chips has good quality Fish and Chips. We ordered the Haddock and Cod, both had extremely crispy batter and tender fish on the inside. Batter is made in house, and so is the delicious tartar sauce. The chips were flavourful and crispy, especially when paired with their rich gravy. Sides that we ordered were the delicious mushy peas, huge mozzarella sticks, and the deep fried cheddar perogies. Coleslaw also comes as a side with the Fish and chips, creating that perfect refresh from all the deep fried foods. Don't forget to wash it all down with their wide variety of UK sodas. The cream soda and Dandelion Burdock soda is our recommendation! Interior decor is absolutely incredible, with small attention to detail on British elements, recreating the feel of a small London homestyle restaurant. Superior is a great place for friends and family to gather!
