Here you have all the opinions of people who have information of the products and services of Seafood City Supermarket (Fish Shop) in Alberta (Canada).
Currently the firm has a score of 4 out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is high, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their feddback when they are happy, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to place scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Fish Shop belongs to the category of Asian grocery store.
Great place and they have a jolibee. Cool food court and my wife loves it all. Get some calamansi juice and walk around. I need to go here more often as I’ve only been a couple times but it’s kind of far.
Want the best meats and seafood available? This is the place to go.
Lots of prepared food. Good selections!
A friendly place with good food. A wonderful addition to Winnipeg!
Good parking spaces. Very nice people. Authentic filipino cuisine at its best
good selection and great ready made food. the carts have a seat for a child but there are no holes for the child’s legs to go through so it is basically useless. music is way too loud
The best filipino supermarket in town. Prices are okay.
Good Place to get Authentic Filipino Food!
Over priced.
Great food court! Super big selection of foods from the Philippines. Very helpful staff, answered my many questions.
free clean and fry the seafood
Seafood City is a Philippines themed supermarket with huge Filipino specific produce groceries a fresh bakery fish market and local produce. It also has deli and fast food items. Definitely a nice addition to heartland center because there is no other fresh fish store within heartland.
I love the fact that it has a Jollibee restaurant and other "turo-turo" restaurants inside the supermarket. Lots of Filipino products and delicacies to choose from.
Filipino/Asian foods available..even cook ones
Clean, incredible variety and really good food court (the halo halo is great!)
Great place to find a little bit of the Philippines in Edmonton. You don't have to be a Filipino to appreciate all of the produce and seafood and other items. Lots of Filipino snacks to try out if you're tired of the same old stuff. Staff are really friendly. Used the washroom and it was spotless. This store is worth going to even if it's a little bit out of your way. Ingat!
Bought grilled squid and the cuttlebone was still there. Not sure if they've cleaned it properly. As far as i know that's the first thing you have to remove when cleaning squids.
Love the place. Finally a place that can bring us closer to being home.
Good
Good selection. Good food. Nice people.
I love it. But, please start using paper plates and etc for grill city and others. Would like to see you guys contribute to saving our environment
Good selection. Prices reasonable. Clean store. Shelves are well-stocked. Staff are friendly.
A wide variety of seafood and Filipino food. A Ready to Eat section as well. Wide aisles and wide smiles! Jollibee's just next door! It's definitely worth a visit! Lots of parking spaces fill up very fast! Go there early. Cheers Mates! Enjoy your visit here. Good prices! Good Value for Money! ( VFM ). Courteous and helpful staff!
When you’re a Filipino this is the place to go. I took my mom for the first time and we spent at least over an hour there. There were less people at that time so it was good due to covid. Looking at the products that remind us of back home, …
Cozy very organized ...less fill up for food take out! Container not full!
I feel like I am at my home base home origin country. And pricess of the accommodities are reasonably enough.
Most disappointing lunch at this Filipino grill restaurant. Very slow service due to only 2 people swr ing at the counter and one cashier despite lunch hour. Cold bbq pork and chicken, chewy and not authentic Bicol express and unexciting coconut braised jackfruit. $50 for 2 with just 4 bbq sticks, 1 grilled small pompano, small dinuguan, bicol express and lanka. OVERPRICED!
Impressive store, with awesome selection. It's very well stocked and is clean. The fish department smells nice and fresh.
love this store seems we used to shop after we eat in Jolibee.
Good place to shop at. There was alot of different foods there and even free samples
Like the food here and good items you'll find not elsewhere
They have so many things to offer better than other Asian store. Feels like I'm shopping in a grocery in the Philippines. Can't give more stars for now since I haven't tried the food stalls due to long queue.
Everything i could want
Good food. Good service.
They have so many different fish. And huge variety of Asian Ingredients. Loved it.
Best Asian supermarket in Toronto. I live in Montreal but I go here. Good staff, very kind to their customers. Nice place to shop. And Jolibee is next door OMG! Must go here!
Just opened. Super busy. Definitely an experience. Will update review when it slows down.
Wonderful place, with my wife being Filipino it most definitely makes her feel a bit closer to home. They have many items that will not be found any other place, the fresh chicken, pork and fish are quite nice. I am very confident that we will be back over and over again. Its much needed store to the Edmonton area.
its just like the Philippines down to the uniform, and how all the employees carry themselves, a great experience for anyone feeling homesick
Amazing place. Just opened and still getting stuff together but what is up and running is awesome. Place is packed with everything Filipino and the fast food area looks and smells great. Lots more to come including jollibee restaurant.
Good selection of groceries. If you need anything Filipino related, this is a great place.
You can find many great items and fresh food, dine in too, fruit frozen, items.
Went to experience Philippino bbq first time at the grill city inside of seafood store and it was nothing special. It's expensive for the amount they serve. Tried few other dishes around the food court and I must say, food @ oceans & t&t seems like a gourmet compare to these overpriced tasteless food. Also checked out the rest of the seafood store and they have lot of variety of authentic Philippino items but cost of most items are not comparable to any other Asian supermarket. The prices are closer to the Whole Food store, yet there is nothing organic in seafood store including the seafood they sell. I wouldn't recommend this place even to my Philippino friends.
The exact same area where Covid Vaccinations are administered. Parking is very spacious. Asian store but most were Filipino: staff, hot lunch, and groceries. They were all polite and friendly, as expected.
Best place to get Good Filipino food and products
Great place to shop.
If you don't live nearby, don't bother wasting your time and gas going there.. Especially for the cooked food. Absolutely no flavour whatsoever. You'd have a better experience of Filipino food by going to a family run restaurant. What a waste of money.
If you love Filipino food and Filipino products, this is the place to go. This place is basically a "Filipino island" in Canada. Great place to go buy food to feed the family but I wouldn't recommend going on the busy times since it will be hard to find seating. It's best to just buy food to take away "Baon," if you don't want the hassle of finding a table. The setup of the food court is also a bit confusing. If they have planned more / bigger seating and dining area it would have made a difference. The food is a bit over priced compared to other places, but it is good! Highly recommend "grill city" where they serve all kinds of BBQ items (just remember that it gets busy and the lines can stretch upto the entrance)
We can literally call this the Phillipine superstore. Has Jollibees at the entrance and other restaurants in the store. Freshly cooked food and snacks. Similar to a TNT. Great experience. Plenty of fresh fish and meat.
Online reservation is useless. You guys are not following it. Better take that ad down. Falls advertisement...
I always drop by here and go for groceries whenever I am in Mississauga. If you are into Filipino food and groceries, this is the place to go.
Very clean and well organized.
Unscrupulously high priced merchandises, unless you really do need it, like no one else has it. Specialty: Home-made like novelties. Other amenities: Parking is cramped, do not bring your 18 wheeler rig on site, there's No Wide Angled turns around. All in all: Be safe, do your hygiene protocol, and Best of luck.
Great place. Clean, friendly and happy environment. Very busy and long lines at the food court but that's expected because of the grand opening. Overall amazing experience!
Don't listen to anyone who has marked this place down for being busy. It just opened. It's supposed to be crowded you dumb idiots. What's with Filipinos not supporting each other. Think before you post a bad review.
Superb????????
Great store and wide selection on all products ranging in Philipino culture
I go here for blue crab and pompano fish, excellent service and good cleaning done on all items. …
Of course it was the best place ever! feels like home to me, less homesick when it comes to Filipino food and even the atmosphere. We don't need to go back in the Philippines nor go to USA to visit Seafood City!!!????????????
I like the grill city food area, affordable and very good bbq.
filipino foods
Love all the Filipino food in 1 place
TOO EXPENSIVE and TOO CROWDED
Amazing selection of culinary delights from the Philippines. Delicious food served at the restaurants.
To busy
Awesome place! I love Asian cuisine, and particularly their different kinds of drinks. Nice alternative to the mall food court too, as they have several restaurants here.
Clean and bright. A lot of new items that I have never seen. Friendly staff.
Feels like home, the smell and the atmosphere.
It's a great store specializing in Ş E Asian products and food A bit on the pricy side though
Nice place to shop for Asian and Filipino foods and groceries..price are reasonable
This store is clean well stocked that's probably because there are few people in it, you can travel 5mins in any direction and find the same products cheaper.from the dine in prices which are nowhere modest in price. The experience was fine but to repeat visit shame on me, nice store just hope your wallet is fat cause you'll need it!
Need BBQ? Go here.
Fresh seafood and good deals
Great Filipino product selection and take out
Too pricey. Not all but most of them (comparing to TNT) especially the hot dishes. Steamed rice, on two ice cream scoops for $1.85 plus tax - not impressed. So sorry. Never again!
A great place to buy fish, cleaned and fried too.
Very neat grocery store. I was just looking, & being celiac, I couldn't find anything certified gluten free. But looks fantastic for a fish market.
It's cramped. T&T has way more space and much more selection. For "Seafood City" there was a really lame selection of seafood. Some things are way over priced while others are reasonable. There are no good deals here. My guess is people swarm this place for the grill. The takeout restaurant was jumping, so I imagine that's the real draw here. If you're looking for a better Asian market, T&T or Lucky 7 are much better.
I love this place. Filipino product and food are the reasons why I visit this place. Keep on being friendly.
4 because it’s a bit expensive but they are the only store in Canada that holds liese and palty Japanese hair dyes and that is one reason I’ll keep coming back here.
Asian Goodies found here. Filipino stuff mostly. Dig in.
Good selection of Filipino, Korean and Japanese snacks. Check out the food court. The BBQ pork is really good!
This place is huge and the prepared food area has a variety of Filipino dishes you can try. The supermarket has lots of fresh produce and items you won't find at a regular grocery store. There is also a fresh fish and meat market.
Clean and tidy! Nice Christmas Decors!????
Nice food great deals a lot filipino you can found here.
Need to check out , so different from other stores, can shop different food and there a great area where food cooked and you can sit and eat . Super place
Been buying meat from here since they opened but For the past two months (2021), their packed pork meat smells and taste rotten after cooking it. It might not be properly stored when they were packing the meat.
A heaven for Filipinos but I find it a bit expensive
Not your typical Asian market, this place is SUPER clean and well priced.
A new Asian market in the west end, well stocked with products local to the Philippines and Asian countries. The place is new and opened its doors during the pandemic. It was great to see the grocery story full of people shopping responsibly. They have two restaurants that you can get Philippines street food. I have to try next time but I only poker my head in to check out what gluten free products they have. I'll be back for sure.
If you like Asian delicacy, this is the best place to go. Foods are good at a reasonable price. The grocery goods are a bit expensive compared to other Asian stores.
Best place to buy fresh fish. They offer free cleaning.
The store is very brightly lit, neat and clean. Well stocked. Offers quite a bit of stuff that you'd have to go to several places to get in one trip. Some side notes: 1. Some north american foods ( treats ) priced quite high compared to other stores. Some meat as well. I know it's not a discount grocery, but it took me a bit by surprise. 2. Cash out placement was a bit untraditional. Sort of in the middle of the store. Not a bad thing, just not used to it. Lots of staff working, and I was there first thing in the morning. So for those who are having difficulty getting inside due to crowds, go early. They still have a lot of people working, so you can get help very fast. I'm interested to see what it is like in six months time!
Filipino crusine is alsome.. same like cambodain food.
It a good concept that you buy the fish and they will fry it for you at $. 50 a lb. This will catch on, (too bad they don't offer steaming. Healthier option).
Have to say I was pretty disappointed with this store. I was hoping to find Philippine-specific items like kape barako, instead of instant noodles and other stuff imported from Japan, Korea, Thailand & Vietnam. Most of the stuff on their shelves, I can get from other Asian stores for less. The food court is very disorderly, and you have to squeeze through the scattered chairs and tables. I wasn't sure where some of the lines started and ended. If this is all they have to offer, it's not really worth the trip.
a staff in the front who lets people go inside is very rude. we were not looking when we were near the door but instead of saying excuse me, u may go inside now but he yelled us "hoy" with the hand gesture to go inside. i am a filipino but pls have some respect and decency about the job.
An interesting store with mostly Filipino goods and products. A bit more expensive but lots of variety and fresh Filipino foods available. So for those that want to try new foods or are Filipino this place has all your needs.
Good place to go for groceries. Unfortunately the place is too far from my where I live but I make sure to drop by everytime I am in the vicinity.
Good place to go to buy fresh meat
This place carry about 90% Filipino products and it's great to buy meat and fresh seafood from. They're fresh and doesn't have bad smell like other Asian market has. They sell home products, beer and dessert galore. I like the fact that the have a small food court to eat from before or after doing groceries and they open late. I love this place.
There are a lot of great Filipino food choices, including a Jollibee and a bakery that sells the best pastry on earth: cheese balls.
Love it
I would've rated them 5 stars if the prices of there goods were as affordable as the other Big Asian Supermarkets in Mississauga. Despite the expensive prices I still go there once in awhile to get the feel of my home country.
????
Love the food court they have here. The selections are amazing. Super yummy skewers at Grill City and the fried chicken skin at Crispy Town is a must!
Very good place .good food
Much more than "Seafood". Great meat counter and excellent produce section as well. At least 4 restaurants onsite with lots of available seating. Check out the onsite bakery and grave a peach mango pie from Jollibee's is the line is short.
Still chaotic like when it first started. especially the food court ie. grill city et al. The supermarket though is more calming, variety of goodies just like in the Philippines. I think this is the only dedicated Filipino supermarket in the GTA.
Awesome food court! Especially their grill items are Fanta-bulous!!! I really enjoyed the BBQ chicken skewers! Yum!
Managers and staff do not have the customer's best interest in mind. Was doubled charged and did not receive compensation. Will not be coming back here ever again. Support LOCAL filipino stores, NOT this corporation that doesn't have a heart for kapabayans alike.
The place is nice and bright and has a good selection of products but is a little pricier than other Asian supermarkets. The food court has very decent offerings, again on the pricier side compared to similar places. One of the big pluses of this Asian supermarket is that if you ask a question, they actually can respond with useful information and are very helpful.
Great variety of Asian groceries.. awesome food court!
Love it. All my ethnic food is in here.
Today we ate at noodle Street. We ordered la paz batchoy, I am so disappointed with the batchoy. I am expecting it to be good because the picture was looking so tasty. But when we saw the actual food its nothing like in the picture and it doesn't taste like batchoy especially the ingredients that they put. Its my first time for my whole life to see a batchoy with carrots, cabbage and a chopped piece of pork that its not appropriate for lapaz batchoy. Like who does that? And the soup is nothing like a lapaz batchoy, its so blant, its like they put only water and salt and the ingredients that they put is not even hot! So disappointed.
If you like ethnic Phillipino food, this is the place to come. The food court has amazing choices for a reasonable price.
They have their own bouquet of flavors perusing the shelves.
Some amazing assortment of imported items. Basics like eggs and butter are overpriced! Oil over priced! Don’t expect any big deals here unless your looking for special items. Really amazing seafood selection fresh and frozen. An awesome selection of cooked ready to eat items. Always a busy area of the store.
Filipino food is here yummy :) I found calamansee there and it was yummy . Calamine is a special lemon :)
Great place. Very organized. Food was fantastic and a great price.
Very popular, festive place for Filipinos. Big supermarket with lots of choices. Plenty of familiar dishes and they’ve added Jollibee!
A nice store for Pinoy foods though I don't really want their street foods (kwek kwek, fish ball etc) I'll love to buy other Pinoy made foods!
Always watch out on deli section where milks in display are near at expiration worst-case 3 day pass on expiration still haven't pulled out. Same for next items like noodles/ salted duck eggs / balut they all taste funny. An employee told me reason why they taste like that because they are in same chiller room with all meats with blood thaw which could easily to contamination.
Dont go on a weekend or Friday. Always crowded and busy. But the store and restaurants are well looked after. Really clean and organized.
Substandard fish smells very bad I do not advise anyone to buy from it
Awesome store. Always fresh, clean, tidy. Fantastic meals and take out. Items you just can't find elsewhere for the price. Will visit again for sure and bring friends and family.
Ethenic items only
Nice place but the fish are to open for a market for my liking
i bought expired food. For the first of it's kind here in Mississauga, I was shocked to find that the food I bought was OVER A YEAR old. When you go to a grocery store, you assume that the food has been checked for expiration and things of that sort. However, I was wrong about assuming that and later found that what i bought had been sitting on a rack for over a year. Shocking and disappointing.
Highly recommend the grilled meats at the take out counter. Not like they need my endorsement. There is always a long line up!
Busy Filipino shop , the food is fresh and good
So much good stuff and fresh seafood! Go get some fried bits from the little food court they have there. SO GOOD!!????
Amazing place.
Offers a good variety of cooked Filipino dishes for purchase/consumption food court style. Grocery store is well stocked with quality produce. Enjoy coming here when we're in the area! Weekends are very busy.
Love the food court and the store has a great variety of Filipino and Asian food products.
Wide selections of delicious cooked food ,fresh fish that staff clean for customers, quality meat and variety of restaurants. Staff are friendly.
Great community
Excellent selection. Decent prices
Really neat restaurants great selection of fish great first impression
Love getting there shrimp to BBQ
Was not welcomed in the bakery or at the crispy town. I only spoke English over priced meals and rude staff serving you. There always talking to one another rather than helping you get your order.
Although they were following Covid protocol, once you were inside the store, nobody was staying 6 feet away and the arrows on the floor dictating direction were not followed. It was a joke. Couldn't wait to get the heck out of there.
My all filipino all asian food stop..
If you're into Filipino foods, this is the right place especially with the newly open Jollibee.
great market, so many Filipino products
What a great place! Excellent selection, well laid out, and the restaurants inside have great food too!
Did a review for this place under a description of the mall it is in. Recap: Very expensive place, higher than any chinese supermarket. Food court is convenient in terms of selection but prices are higher than other places.
there should be filipino liquor on store like 4x4 ginebrq matador rather than the imported one not like in chicago you can get everything like Gin i know LCBO is not issuing a permit for those liquor so better look for a replacement not as good as Ginebra san miguel ..sarap eh triskelion yata yan
food court is busy all the time
Good location. Ample parking. Good source of Filipino foods.
Although not original to the Philippines, Seafood City caters to Filipinos in United States and now in Canada. Generally Filipino community in GTA rely on Chinese Supermarkets and very few small Filipino-centric grocery stores sparsely located in Toronto and suburbs of Toronto for their 'foods from home'. But now they have a place where they can go and feel at home. Most of the food items are imported from the Philippines. I think there is only one right in Canada now but I hope they open few more. Only one thing I, personally, don’t like is their food court. It is right in the front, as soon as you walk in to the store. Other than that, Store is clean, Well organized. If you are looking for any Filipino food item or snack that you tried on your last trip to the Philippines, I am pretty sure you can find it here.
Everything you need as Asian/Filipino all here.
Amazing place clean and well kept. I just dropped in to check it out . Was amazed at the stuff you get plus the food court
A good place to buy asian foods, fresh meat and fish. After your grocery you can dine here also .there are noodles fried grill and more.
Great place to shop oysters and other seafoods as well as delicious Asian food but a little bit pricey.
Philippines products, selection of other Asian too, this is the place to go. The staff is very friendly.
A little bit pricey but most Filipino food products are available
The right place for Seafoods and Asian goods. It has good fastfood restaurant inside too.
Great for Asian and seafood lovers
They have variety of take out foods. Mostly filipino dishes such as filipino bbq, desserts (halo halo, buko pandan), fishball and kwek-kweks. They mostly sell asian food items, but they have a variety of fresh seafood.
Good food. Average service. Overpriced groceries. Extremely busy during the weekends. But if your grocery shopping there are no lines because no one in their right mind would buy the basics here. Barbeque is always on point here.
Interesting store lots of good deals
I had crispy tilapia for dinner last night. I chose my fish and they cleaned and fried for FREE!
Large grocery shopping centre. Excited to it's opening here in Mississauga and all food stores. Can't wait for Jollibee and Valerios to open soon.
Plenty of meal options and they will clean and cook a fresh fish for you.
Great selection of Ethnic food
This place carries best selection of fish. Seafood section is very clean and provides self pick option. They clean fish to perfection. They carry fresh fish and good varieties and reasonably priced. They have various good option and Jollibee for fried chicken. Friendly staff and open late even on weekends .. If you are looking for good fish then look no further!
Has a variety of fresh fish options, reasonable prices.
Going through a few opening pains, but I think it will get better over time. It was hard trying to find someone to help answer questions as to where items where and when I found them they did not know much.
Jollibee famous for their pineapple juice and non greasy chicken. Taste great
Asian-themed grocery mart with a Filipino flavor. Features takeout food that includes fried noodles, grilled meat and seafood. Nice alternative to H-Mart, Lucky 97, and T&T.
Good prices
Good food
It starts to seem less busy now and the takeaway food gets dry looking due to not many people in the store anymore. Therefore the food also doesn't seem appealing anymore like it used to. Plus the service is average, my mom had to fight with a cashier cause the coupon was expiring that day and the cashier said the machines weren't taking the coupons, having system issues. The business just doesn't seem to care, only making money and not really about give the best possible service. . . . . . . . . As well I had a friend who worked here and wasn't treated the best same with a few other employees.. as to what I heard.
Awesome place to go ???? they have good food...
Good place to buy fishes, they'll clean it on site, free of charge. The market is super clean, and the food court has got good selection of Filipino street food. This place is my safe haven.
Nice place to buy groceries, fruits, meat and fish.
Before i went to seafood city and there was no any ube and filipino flavourings. But now they do have ube, pandan, and mango flavourings. Very Good but kinda expensive tho????
Great options for our friends from the Philippines and lovers of Filipino food stuffs. The restaurants inside are fantastic. The service is attentive and helpful. Top notch.
Great options for our friends from the Philippines and lovers of Filipino food stuffs. The restaurants inside are fantastic. The service is attentive and helpful. Top notch.
wonderful place to do your grocery and have a meal after or before????
Lots of fresh groceries, really large selection of items, a lot of them imported from the Philippines.
Asian stuff???????????????? like crispy pata, chicken skin.
Various items but really too far from my home
Very disappointed. They only have a very few selection of seafood. They should not use the name "Seafood City". Grocery was not good as well, you can buy the same Pilipino stuff from nearby Chinese grocery with a much lower price.
Large variety of Asian food. ????
Always clean and personnels are very friendly. Items always looks fresh and clean
It has everything you are looking for, but the prices are way to high. They seem to keep raising the prices.
Yes , like to visit again
The prepared food is extremely unhealthy. They should just list what flavor the saturated fat and tons of sodium they fill their so called food with Supermarket is more expensive than regular groceries Not recomendable
The ready to eat barbecued pork and chicken sticks are favorites at our house
The food is fantastic and appreciates that they observe social distancing and implement the use of face masks. Some goods are a bit pricey compared to other stores. Their washrooms are clean when I went there. They have ample parking spaces for everyone. I’ll probably visit again when I visit the West Edmonton area.
Far Eastern ethnic food store, specialising in Philippines groceries. Fish counter has lots of variety. Chicken, pork and beef is reasonably priced. A food court of ethnic Filipino Street food. An extremely clean store
Best place to get Filipino food. Toronto should get one if this
Newly opened so still working on amount of food to have available. Exciting addition to the Asian market scene.
Items in meat department where empty or in short supply. Green onions were not fresh.
Lots of food and selections but I find it way to pricey for Filipino food.
Staffs are friendly. Keep this attitude fellow Filipinos.
Lots of food options. Price is affordable. Staff are super friendly and ready to assist. The store is clean. Very organized. Its easy to find what you're looking for.
Very convenient since it's close to Jollibee! ???? Totally love the variety of food and products they offer. Feels like home
Good filipino cooked food selections on the food court and great Jollibee location. Grocery items though costs more than the chinese stores around Toronto area. Some items costs $1-2 more! We come here for the cooked food or Jollibee but prefer to go buy our filipino groceries, seafood, and other filipino snacks and food items somewhere else.
The shelves were well stocked. They looked organized and cleaned. Overall a well managed place. The prices were okay too. The food court is an authentic Filipino experience. The tastes could be improved. Prices too.
Big assortment of Filipino food of course. Diverse selection in the eating areas.
Jolibee Chicken was greasy had no taste it was very disappointing after waiting for almost an hour for the food
This place is pretty neat with 3 restaurants inside. Great fresh fish options but the grocery part is pretty much the same as any Asian supermarket in town.
Always a great place to buy Filipino groceries.
The lineup to order food is long. The grocery part is nice, clean and well stock. The staff are friendly and they greet you with a smile!!!
Best Asian grocery store as they have a food court and a Jollibee. Always have whatever groceries we need and great Filipino favourites.
Feels like home
It was like I was a part of a whole other culture! Love it!
It was very clean in there. Sadly butcher didn't want to wiggle on price for pork shoulders. Fish was very fresh ????
I been to this supermarket on Monday Feb 10 I ordered chicken hot pot and after two hrs I was running to the washroom all night. The vegetables and chicken was cold and veggies were uncooked in this chicken hot pot. it cost $10.99 that’s not cheap and the flavour was bland. I'm thinking the soup was not hot enough to kill any germs on the cold chicken breast and raw veggies. When I order hot pot from t&t supermarket, they cook the noodle vegetables in a boiling broth in front of you before they give it to you. I never got sick from any of t&t prepared food from raw Sushi to hot pot and sweet and sour dishes. I got sick eating at this store. I ‘m not eating here expensive, bland and you risk getting sick.
Its okay i enjoy the food court part but grocceries are expensive but not bad.
The place is okey nothing fancy only if you miss a filipino foods and home cooking but a bit pricey!????
Great selection, but very high prices. Many items we wanted were priced way higher then other stores we shop at.
Cheaper than tnt.
It's predominantly Filipino food and grocery stores, with variety of fresh fish, beef, pork and chicken....Very friendly staff....also has Jollybee fast food, live grill food store serving delicious grilled meats and bakery and lots of free parking
Their chicken BBQ is delicious. Quick service, hot & fresh foods.
Love the wide variety of food, wish I had this place where I live!
Clean and well maintained!
Clean, well stocked, organized, a good place to get south Asian groceries, lots of meat cuts on counter and lots of seafood selections
We grabbed lunch at Jollibee inside Seafood City. The service was fast and efficient. Will keep coming back.
Food was delicious, lots of selection throughout the supermarket, and staff are friendly! It was very cold, however, because the doors let in all the winter air in which made it a bit uncomfortable in the dining area. Other than that, will definitely go back!
I wish this was in Montreal too. So for me this is a great place to visit. We were so happy to see all of these stores/restaurants together. Sending my appreciation to the people that made this happen. We will definitely come back again.
Most Filipino food I like to eat. Good price on products.
Very busy and high energy place. Interesting market looking store with food court surrounding.
We bought the kebabs they were awesome
Overpriced but clean. I like the bakery attached as well as the food court.
For all of the hype that this place has gotten I expected more. It's not that the noodle/soup I had was bad it's like the old saying "nothing to write home about" So try it if you want I just didn't care for it.
Great selection for Filipino products, save from mouldy baked products.
Nice place for some fresh veggies. The problem was that, when I went on cash. Two cashiers were talking, chatting in their language.
Made me feel like I was back home in the philippines. What a nice place❤
Ordered a stick of pork from the grill hot table, pretty much all fat. Very gross, won't be going back.
Biggest Filipino grocery with lots of stocks. Love this store and great promotion each week!
Plethora of Phillipeno grocery items. Bright, clean, new. This store is about product availability & selection - Not price. This isn't a discount ethnic grocery store. Authentic ingredients and real Phillipino treats and brands. Large Hot food section, may wait for seating but there is plenty of it. The seating is also designed for larger families - not the traditional seating accommodating parties of 2's & 4's. I would commend Seafood City Management on this modification from typical Mississauga public seating configuration. Fresh fish is fantastic (their namesake, after all). Live Crab, Squid and Octopus to name a few. Choose a clear-eyed Tilapia - or any fresh fish - and the friendly Seafood Counter staff will clean it and fry it for you, no extra charge. "Single diner" and "cooking for 2" packs for individuals who may not be preparing Phillipino meals at home daily - but rather trying something new, like making Thai or Indian Curry at home. The Pack's contain the spices, sauce, Vegs and the weighed portion of Meat or Protien. Really convenient & removes any apprehension or hurdle of investing in new spices, & sauces when making only 1 dish. Excellent selections, clean aisles, stocked shelves, friendly staff. Keep up the great work!
A bit overprice and the food is too crispy and lots of oil.
Good choice of seafood!
Nice and well-organized. I hope it's not only because it's a new store.
Every time I feel homesick, Seafood City makes me feel like I just got dropped off in the middle of the Philippines... excellent food
Went to the location on July 27th and bought a whole bunch of food to try since its a brand new loacation..Later day came to see that the drink we got was xpired 4 days before and they still had it to serve the customer. Messaged them about it and there was no action taken in this. Wow happy that i was able to spread this around so that atleast people will look for the product dates more now and atkeast seafood city can do soemthing on this.
Very clean, friendly staff and fresh fish and meats!
Great source of Filipino food
Probably the best Asian grocery store I’ve been to in a while, I liked it well more than Oceans (which itself isn’t bad at all). They have a really cool food court concept where they have a wide selection of Asian foods. They also have this awesome street food like stall where you can get “street food”. I really liked it.
Interesting Filipino supermarket. Seafood seems to be the best thing here.
Way too overpriced. Very cool to see a variety of options not seen in Canada before (Jollee Bee). Still feel the products are a bit over priced.
If you have come from USA, it is a kind of H-Mart for us. You get all variety of seafood, fruits, veggies, all Asian products.
The Filipino community is the warmest group of people in the city. You can bet on it.
The Best!
Seafood city had tons of stuff and competes well with Chinese/Korean counterparts. I'd say the food court can be a bit pricey though the foods are really delicious!
I liked the store it's great the store is in the westend l don't have to drive through the city coming from Spruce Grove and l avoid the mall.
Great food
Great food
All encompassing Filipino supermarket and food court including a Jollibee's. Very busy but civil. great selection of items.
I found the prices very expensive. The ukoy looks crispy but inside is not cooked. The pork intestine isaw taste really awful. It's been my favourite street food but after i tried one bite of their isaw me and my colleagues got the same reactions that almost threw up where we were sitting inside the Supermarket. The biggest ube Goldilocks cake is overpricing. I got it for $35 before tax. Since I was craving I bought it. The next day we went to Filipino store and I saw exactly the same size of the Goldilocks and the price is only $19. Unbelievable! Their homemade vinegar also expires just after a month I purchased it. I bought it December 2020, And expired last Jan. 2021. It's labelled refrigerate after opening. It's vinegar and should not expires that fast but it really went bad. It's a big Supermarket so people taught that it will be cheaper to buy there compared to small Filipino stores but actually this Supermarket is more expensive and buying here it's not worth the price. I'm sorry to say but I'm just telling what my bad experienced. I'm sure it's not just me who had the same feedback. But, I will never buy anything there again.
Drove here from Toronto with two toddlers, one who isn’t walking yet so I was depending on the shopping cart to place him into..... the carts have a child seat but NO LEG HOLES?!? I was so looking forward to checking this place out but unfortunately the shopping cart have NO leg holes! Very strange.
Overpriced goods. Hot foods was great though.
The store is kept extremely clean and organized! The prices are also pretty reasonable, especially when you just need to do some one-stop shopping! It would probably be in your best interest to choose take-out when ordering food as the food court seems to be always full.
Great store to buy international food products. Also lots of Filipino eatery’s semi food courts around. People just need to be reminded to keep their required distance and face masks, can be overly crowded sometimes.
Foods very fresh. Clean. But employees are very very slow. Slow cleaning the fishes. Slow in checking out. Store not busy but very slow pace.
Best place to get sea food in Winnipeg. They clean the fish and cut it for you with no cost.
I don't know I've never been to this establishment. Something seems a little fishy.
Spent a small fortune because I missed so many Filipino foods. Now I'm not cooking for a whole week. Hahaha. They didn't have dairy cream though. But other than that, found a lot of good stuff
Good price, good select of seafood. A bit drive but worth the shot.
Amazing... the closest you will get to the philippines without taking a plane. Good food and great staff. The butcher and fish market has good deals. I got a a deal of .99 per pound of chicken drumsticks. Cant beat that.
Great store, similar to a T&T and definitely needed in Winnipeg.
Me and my fiance ask for refund and the manager at cryspy town was very rude to talked to never visit this place again.
If you want to meet rude staffs and expensive average tasting foods. Go to grill city. They wont fail you. Will give negative stars if i could.
They have a food court offering delicious filipino food and now they also have Jollibee. The line up wasnt that bad.
Very impressed, Super clean store!
Extremely clean store, fresh fish very well stocked, lots of choice and ice on it, prices are fair, will return for sure. All staff very nice and polite..
Beek Maki from Noodle Street
This place is unbelievably full of Asian products you won't find in your regular groceries. Fresh seafood, pork, chicken, and beef. The food court has it all. Plenty of parking.
First time visiting this place after finding a product that I've been looking for for a while, took some time off work to reroute and it turns out they closed early because of some party that they're having at 7:30pm Tuesday night. They even had people waiting outside making sure no one gets in, I'm fairly sure there was like 50 people turned away within 5 minutes. Very inconsiderate.
Great, but expensive though
Best place grocer filipino...jolly bee here too yum!
Amazing Filipino food! Adobo, pork bellies, fried or grilled squid, chicken and pork kebabs... Everything is very tasty and staff are friendly. I love this place
The price is relatively more expensive than the regular chinese stores in Mississauga but the store is cleaner and more organized than the regular Chinese grocery stores. Please inspect the delicacies as my friends and I saw some that have molds
it's a very convenient location in heartland Mississauga. service is good. the place is clean. but don't eat in their food court. doesn't look very appealing.
Everything there is expensive, went there twice. Foods counter just a ripped off.
Nice and clean. Disappointed they stopped selling the plain barquillos wafer sticks. Why???????
Love the FOOD! Especially the grilled foods that really pulls you to try it upon entry. Soups are good too. Grocery have a lot of variety, complete food items, fresh and frozen all good. Try the bakery items too, so good!
Good place to eat Filipino food Ryan Crisostomo of Precise Car Doctor
Seafood City is an Asian supermarket with a particular Philippine skew, with 2 of its 3 restos serving Philippine style food. The most popular of the 3 restos appears to be Grill City, serving Pork Barbecue and Grilled Pork (called Liempo) by Pinoys. I loved both the barbecue and liempo, plus the added dinakdakan (Provincial dish of pork soaked in vinegar and spices). The supermarket was great, clean, well laid out, but the only thing I'm bummed is that the price of Grill City is a bit pricey.
2/5. Bibingka came with eggs! Yuck!
Excellent has everything in Asian food
Their products are so expensive especially the cooked items.
Friendly staff. Big, clean and the lights are bright
Pricey but very clean and organized and will meet all your Pilipino needs.
Great Filipino Supermarket
This supermarket main clientele is the Filipino community. You can even get the famous Balut there. I saw seafood and vegetables in the store but nowhere near what you can get at the bigger Asian supermarkets. It is not the place to go to get bargain prices. There is also a food court
Marie from crispy town very efficient .She get my payment with the big smile even she's wearing a mask I can see it in her eyes...
A bit over priced. But they got a lot of cool and delicious stuff. I bought ube cheese cake and other ube snacks. It is purple and good. Ill come back for more food and the jolibees coming soon
Super clean lots of choices and very friendly staff! I would love to come back soon when I can
The fresh fish area doesn't smell like most Asian supermarkets. That's a great sign of freshness. Prices are actually quite decent. Food court has a great selection of noodles, fried, and grilled delicates. Produce is fresh and well maintained. Far better than T&T Supermarket. Highly recommend coming at least once.
Great seafood market
I ordered meat platter and tuton in crispy town, tastes all the same, taste like they are cook in same oil even the turon tastes the same. And it is pricey
Great food, prices are a little more expensive on groceries though compared to other places
The grocery store prices are very expensive. If you look for Filipino food item good choice. But if you purchase items that you can find in other grocery stores like Superstore or Walmart then the prices are at least 25% more expensive. We tried Crispy Meal food, it was disappointing and very expansive.
They have lots of fresh sea food for reasonable price. They also have food court. I enjoyed seafood shopping.
Delicious food but overpriced drinks. The Crispy Chicken fast food side has mislabeled food which doesn't help customers whether they do or do not know what the food names are in Tagalog. Grill section is at least organized.
Enjoyed all the food in all the restaurants especially the bbq and noodle soups. Great selection in the grocery side as well! Kindly look into eliminating the plastic bags to reduce waste. I would love to see a greener Seafood City!
Pretty good food. Not perfect, super slow checkout lines in grill city or pretty much all stations, but food brings me back all the time.
It took me so many years of living here to realise this supermarket existed. All these foods remind me of growing up in a Filipino household. If you're into Filipino food like myself, then this is one of those places to go to! Highly recommended.
Love the grill city and crispy town. Good prices on meat.
A great place to get your Filipino groceries. One of the few places I can buy San Miguel Pilsner.
Would give 5 stars but some tills are not working
nice place to find asian foods. only thing is none of the POS machines are capable of Tap when paying, you'll always have to insert your card and press your key code.
Nice selection, if not a bit pricey.
I love the filipino food variety in this place!
Not busy. Food served are all high in fats does not taste like filipino food
Workers are polite and helpful, fast and a happy place to food shop Cheaper meat, fresh, and my most favorite is you get $4 dollar coupon in every $40 you spend, where else you can find like that?
Wasn't busy yet when we went there. Food is good. Lots of different snack choices and cheaper than T&T.
offers Asian groceries options and fast foods. also available the Filipino fast food Jollibee a great food specially the fried chicken highly recommended must try their menu
Its a little bit pricey but its a nice place to feel at home
This place is awsome! You can by fresh fish and then if you like they will clean, cook and season it for you all for around 50cents a pound. I hope they can maintain this service seeing is how it must cost the store a lot to have the employees maintaining, icing and cooking all these foods. Thank you seafood city
Place are clean but everything are expensive.Poor customer service at Crispy Town, why? Because one time I bought a food here and the server just gave me all veggies without meat and when I told the lady manager and she whisper to her employee and they laugh infront of us. No manners! No wonder because here no need to have management course certificate to become a manager. I feel.bad because almost every week we used to go there for the grocery.
A very good market which has lots of choices.
I am curious about this place. My friends told me a lot of asian food. I will visit soon.
Great place to buy fish. You pick your fish and they clean the fish for you for free. They also can fry your fish for a small fee. You usually have your fish fried in under a half hour. Many different varieties of fish to choose from.
Great market with a really tasty food court. Excellent lunch, for a great price!
Your employee, Paolo Barrameda really set a high standard for other employment opportunities. Future workers really have to step their game up if they want to be hired
Quite a busy place to go for dinner on a Saturday night. We went with 4 kids and spent around $100 for food alone. There were some items that were hit and miss: Hit: - BBQ was juicy and flavourful - Palabok was tasty but not enough garnish or meat, it pretty much a plate of noodles - Batchoy was yummy and hot because it was served on top of a portable burner Miss: - Taho wasn't what I expected and didn't realize it was expensive until my husband freaked on me - Malabon on banana leaves had great presentation but my mother-in-law didn't enjoy it because the banana leaf flavour started to over powered the dish. Not a bad place to go if it was a bit closer.
Disorganized food court, noisy and crowded with so many people. Expensive burned bbq skewers, but good crispy fried items, enjoyed the steamed buns as well. Grocery section had many cheaply packaged expired Filipino cakes, canned/ dry goods were insanely expensive, compared to the other Asian supermarket in Mississauga. Not impressed.
Love the place it's so clean and all worker's are nice.
Love this place from the first time we went. Great products. Cashiers are very helpful and always willing to share cooking secrets
Grill city is my favourite but it is a bit overpriced. The supermarket offers a good selection of asian foods but it is always way too busy.
Great food and selection of groceries, but gets super crowded on weekends
Food was probably great at NOODLE STREET if there was someone in the store at 1:30pm on a Wednesday to serve Lunch. I came all the way from Milton to have lunch, craving their Infamous Soup that i keep hearing about but I was greatly dissapointed to find out that ONLY ONE PERSON was running the store and that person happened to be on a LUNCH BREAK outside. To satisfy my HANGER, I ended up consuming JOLLIBEE instead. Yay. Kudos to the owner of the store for Your Excemplary Customer Service!
Am I in the Philippines!? There's a lot of stuff here I miss from way back home. Its like a wonderland for me. Food, beer, pulutan, meryenda... name it! And most of all, a lot of kababayans!
Awesome selection of fish and all types of Filipino meats and goodies. Fruit and veg were really fresh
Big fan of Seafood City. We were super excited when they decided to help create jobs where they do business by selling local with Columbia Ice. Jobs and profits where they live. The wife was pumped to go here. Apparently you can buy fish and have them cook it for you. When I left the store I noticed I lost my wife. She saw some noodles, got stuck in the arrows saying walk this way. I was in another arrow path. We used our phones to meet up in the parking lot :)
(Translated) The food was expensive and not good for my taste. (Original) 음식 가격도 비싸면서 내입맛에는 별로였다
Amazing selection of seafood and Filipino groceries. Very clean and well organized. There are many attendants to help you out and tell you where to stand especially with COVID going on. Grill City has such a great selection of ready to eat foods. If the store gets very busy you need to join the virtual queue online through their website. They'll send you a text to tell you you can come in. There are two seperate queues for the grocery store and the grilled food so sign up for both. Right now there is a special of free cleaning and frying for any fish you buy. I got a tilapia and it was totally worth it. So delicious and best of all it was under $5!! Will be back soon.
It's predominantly Filipino food and grocery stores, with variety of fresh fish, beef, pork and chicken....Very friendly staff....also has Jollybee fast food, live grill food store serving delicious grilled meats and bakery and lots of free parking
Love to saw some of the Philippines groceries stuff and others. The I just noticed some of the goodies are much pricey compared to superstore across the street.
Went to Crispy Town at Seafood city this morning. 7 hours later while eating dinner we only then realized that we were charged for IMAGINARY half order of crispy calamari for $8+tax!! Honest mistake? Our fault for not double checking the receipt when we were paying? Either way - annoyed.
Great deals on food!! Such a wide variety of different Asian foods. You can’t beat the prices.
Depth of available items are great. They have a lot of the items that are normally sold in Filipino grocery stores. As it should be since that is the target population. Great items on sale as well, like chicken quarters for 50 cents a pound. However, lines for the cashiers have a waiting period of at least 2 hours. I don't know if it's the volume of shoppers or the efficiency of cashiers. Or maybe they need to add more lanes.. Either way, it needs to be addressed.
Very expensive place to shop. You can get almost all the same stuff at Oceans for a lower price. The cooked food is very tasty, but expansive.
Lots of different types of Asian centric foods, wonderful place for anybody whos looking for Asian food that are more SEA based. The staff are wonderful & are always willing to help you if you require assistance the food sold inside the market is tasty & they even offer to clean & grill raw fish you buy within the market for a price which is extremely convienient.
I'm filipino so my review might be biased, but hey it's got all I need if ever I want to make home made filipino cuisine. They also have cooked filipino delicacies on case you can't be bothered to make your own. Think TnT but focused more on Filipino stuff. Overall I really like the place.
What a unique shopping experience. There are some really interesting products available, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The staff that we encountered were all incredibly polite. We also grabbed food to go, on the way out from Noodle Street and it was absolutely delicious. We can't wait to come back and try the other restaurants.
Nice people, fast unloading, big parking yard, overnight park yes.
Beautiful new Phillipines supermarket. Super fresh fish and meats. Large selection of specialty food. Plenty of takeaway faves
Clean and good variety. Very crowded, hard to social distance. (I went on a Sunday around 1pm).
Great Supermarket with a Philipino twist. Awesome food court!
I was in line ordering food from crispy town stood there for a while but the guy behind me was the first one they entertain to take their orders, why fall in line if thats the case?, these staffs needs to train more, I ordered pork dinuguan hoping its going to taste good but it taste very salty and sour it doesnt have that savoury taste like the average pork dinuguan. I was so dissapointed????
The place was clean and spotless. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about stuff.. Fast food were good. Needed bit more seasoning.
Barbecue and Siopao tasted like leftovers from the day before. Their sales probably got hit during this pandemic that's why they don't taste good as they were before.
The area are clean and orderly. Their shelves are nice and full. The people are pleasant and it gets my craving for Pinoy food in an instant!
Not a fan of sea food but if you are this is the place to go for your everyday sea food ingredients
Strange place for Grocery. There are better place than this. Unable to understand what they are selling. Not for people who understand English only. Store associates are confused whether they are selling Chinese or Philippine products and in what language.
Loved the selection of Filipino food! Fresh produce, lots of bakery choices.
Good Filipino food.
A little pricey but you can find the things that you need. Staff are helpful
Great place for cheap seafood.
very clean supermarket with variety of products not just Filipino stuff ????
It's bigger than some seafood city that I have seen! This has grill city, Crispy town n noodle street. Roomy!
Awesome
A good store especially Asian and Filipino products. They also sell good food
I enjoy coming here during the not-so-busy hours. Everything that I had since I was kid from the Philippines, I can buy here. The store is very clean from their washrooms all the way to the Seafood Area. If you love and enjoy Filipino snacks and delicacies, come by and check this place. Can't wait till I get Jollibee again!
Great supermarket if you're on the lookout for Filipino groceries! Awesome selection and the supermarket is clean and organized! They have a great food court with of course....amazing food! I like stopping by for lechon and deep fried chicken skin! There is also a Jollibee connected to it which is fantastic!
I’ve been here for the first time today. I have to say that l’m so impressed. This is one of the cleanest Asian Grocery Store in Toronto. They have a lots of great fish, meat and seafood products. The price is reasonable. Very friendly and helpful service. I like the variety of products that you can buy. Everything is fresh and tasty. Great grocery store. I definitely will coming back soon. Thank you for your service!!
It was fun doing our groceries and having our breakfast and supper here. Everything Filipino from food to groceries is in here.
Today was the first time that we decided to see this supermarket. Such a terrible store! I've never had such a bad experience like this store in Canada and also my shopping! First of all, the power shut off and everything was messed! We orderd two fishes and wanted them just open them and JUST clean the inside! It takes 30 mins and when she called my number I looked at my order and nothing changed!!! we wanted her to clean it again and she waisted the time. Finally when the fish was ready we stayed in the line to pay. After 15 mins the cashier told us Only Cash!! Because of the power. We left our orders and in the other cash there was a machine to pay with credit!!!! Finally we bought the fishes and now when we wanted to put them in the refrigerator the inside is terrible! I believe that she didn't clean them at all! Oh my God! The customer service was awful. I am NOT recommend it AT ALL!!! Waiste time and money!!!
Clean fresh produce everywhere. Neatly packaged. But the price is a bit too high . I guess if you want fresh , tidy you have to pay the price.
Friendly and professional staff. And also their food are so delicious! Especially the sea food grill. I just wished they have bigger space than the one in Calgary.
I enjoy coming here weekly for my grocery. I like the ambience especially now that the holidays are coming.
An amazing grocery store with lots of Filipino and South East Asian products!
Great store lots of items to shop for and love the market place as well.
Good produce and specialty goods, but lousy staff.
Huge, budget friendly asian grocery.
Loving coming here for the food court alone. Big selection of good food with friendly service.
Great selection and a great vibe go there for a really nice experience.
Great selection of Filipino grocery items. Food court is awesome! BBQ tastes like home.
Impressive selection of Philippine products. It was jam packed with people even with the huge space. I’m afraid of how crowded it’d be when Jollibee opens.
False advertisement. They have an advertisement for any two platters. In the picture it shows the grill platter and the crispy platter, we tried ordering the two platters like shown in the advertisement but turns out we weren't allowed to mix the two it was only two of the same platter. They should have stated that in the advertisement rather than falsely advertising it. I also received the wrong item when ordering food and despite asking the lady at the counter to check she tried to assure me that it was the right thing. In the future please be more clear with advertisements.
Had good variety of products but generally a bit on the expensive side. Same goes for their food court, the taste is okay but price is high.
Merchandise are organized properly with a lot of varieties to choose from.
Clean and organized! Friendly staff too :)
Nice location, stocks well organize neat and clean place. For sure will come again for shopping needs.. ...????????????????????????
The prices for the groceries are a lot higher than other supermarkets in the area, so shopping there is usually out of the question. The food court is a nice touch, the prices are again a bit too high, but they're fairly generous with the servings. However, sometimes trying to ask about dishes that I'm not familiar with can be a chore, even if it's not busy. Can't wait till the Jollibee gets there in a few months.
Prrice is a little bit high. What I dont like is people who orders and is in line takes so much time. For example, If you are ordering rice, you should just say how many rice you needed, one time this guy was infront of me. He ordered one rice, then when the lady ask him is there anything else, he said can I have two rice, then he did it again 3 rice. Dude? You cnt just tell ate that u want 3 rice? Then people waiting for the brbq to get done u guys should stay out of the line and they should have a nmbr or something so when its ready they can go in the line. Cause people who knows what their buying are stuck in line cause of the people waiting for the brbq
Not my kind of place to go to.
So happy and grateful that Seafood city is here in Canada...got the suki card and bought about $150 worth of groceries which we don't find at other local Filipino variety stores, cooked boneless bangus (milkfish) and liempo, and got a free gift of 5L cup rice cooker. Expected a huge lineup at the food stalls because we came after work. Hope to try them some time soon. I hope all the Filipinos in the area, and others as well, will patronize it...Proud to be a Filipino! Mabuhay to you and all the best!!!
This place is always crowded. It's like a city in itself, bustling with busy people and businesses. The food was excellent. They were prepared and cooked in the best way possible
Since landing here in canada and getting a bit homesick after 3 months, this sulpermarket made me feel am still in the phillipines. All i need to cook our food and the grand slam is you get to eat all our traditional food that tastes great like "what mom used to cook". When i say ALL i mean all such as bagnet, lechon kawali sisig, karekare, bbq, laing, pinakbet, sinigang, bulalo, lumpia, turon, suman, chicharong bulaklak, etc etc... This opened my eyes why there are chinatown in all countries i toured. You feel your at your hometown meeting , greeting, eating with your fellow countrymen. I am a filipino!!
Overpriced compared to Lucky's and Superstore. Decent selection however.
This is the first seafood city in canada. It is a great place specially for Filipinos because this is a major store build for the filipinos. But dont get me wrong the place will cater to everybody specially the food. You have to remember that Filipino foods are part chinese, spanish, english and filipino. To make it better who doesn't like BBQ and deep fried. It is pretty new and everything is still in place and clean. So visiting now would be a great experience. Prices are reasonable well depending how you like it. So we will revisit the place in a few month but for now its a place to visit.
Good food! And lots of varieties that you can buy in the supermarket
Nice unique grocery store, more expensive though
The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. I found what I was looking for.
I was really happy with the foid court. good tasty options. The store itself is clean and well stocked. Lots of choices but prices can be a bit on the higher end compared to other stores. I wouldn't go out of the way to go here.
A little bit pricy.. I like the fresh shimp and fresh crabs!
I love this place , fresh food , fresh sea foods , fresh vegetables and fruits, very very friendly staff and helpful, you can buy everything you want, the store is clean and nice , parking available, restaurants and more , I recommend this place strongly, thanks
Good place for seafood. Especially all the fish varieties are good and fresh. Main source is Filipino foods. Vegetables are little expensive comparatively.
Very busy place .But it's Plenty of Asian foods choices from Bake stuff ,cooked food and special san Miguel beer and also Jollibee is in there too .Exotic foods fresh or frozen are in there available .A bit pricey but it's there .
Need more places like this in Winnipeg if we want to truly make it a city which can compete with cities like Vancouver or Toronto.
Need to add more table.. Food was so great.. Specially Lumpia sariwa.
They have Asian food
Sells exactly the same thing as Chinese stores but some prices are twice as much. You won't even get to order at the food court at 10am it already have a long line up.
Clean ,good products, and produces. Great fast food items
The best Filipino food that I drive 2 hours just to get it.
While it's a grocery store, the highlight is the grill section. Very reasonable and amazingly tasty BBQ can be found there. Very much worth waiting in line.
Price is abit expensive compared to other asian groceries.not alot of variety on some products.crispy town was awesome and so is the grill city
Good place to buy Asian goodies particularly filipino products and produce. One place to buy a variety of exotic fish with free cleaning and affordable cost for frying. But don’t get your fish fried. Cook has no clue what is medium and toasted or well done. Everything gets toasted and oil not regularly changed. Fried fish smell is not good. Food in the restaurant seems pricey but satisfying when you crave for filipino food. Get the experience by visiting.
There was a fly in my hot pot, I didn't know what to say. Just stoped eating and left the food court.
Dont buy the suman lihiya noodle street it taste plain
3 Food court restaurants as soon as you enter. A grill place, a noodle place, and a fried place. You don't have to shop hungry. Seating can be hard to get at times so bring a friend who can secure a spot while you order your food. The main shopping area has a good selection of produce, food items and groceries from the Philippines and other parts of Asia. The seafood section is impressive. Counter staff will clean and fry your purchase for a small fee so your house won't smell like fish for dinner. There is a points rewards program you can sign up for at the cash out. Lots of parking. Busy on weekends.
seeing my wife here was like a kid in a candy store she wanted everything after leaving the phillipines a year ago
It's ok.but I'm not happy with there BBQ the portion change. The cut of the meat was so skinny compare it to the first time they open.
What an interesting store. I wish I knew what more of the products are about as many are outside my cultural familiarity. There is plenty of seafood for sure. Staff were friendly.
Ya. I like this supermarket. Lots of filipino goods to purchase. Shelves are stocked. Rows are clean. I went in with an intention to buy 1 thing and left with 60bucks worth of stuff. Thats because i forced myself to not buy more. Of else i …
Great Philippine food the mini restos serve some good grilled meats. I suggest halo halo smoothie/shake.
I only come here to buy beef, pork, fish, green tea and few veggies. Most grocery items are pricey versus T&T and Walmart. Hot food items (from Noodle Street, Crispy Town & Grill City) are delicious but also pricey. Not for everyday purchase except if you don’t know how to cook.
I got to try the filipino cuisine food here & it was good-BBQ/grilled spam. Unfortunately lines very long and crowded everywhere.
Seems like most of the things I like are kinda expensive here! I heard from people, they find it expensive as well. Lots of variety of food tho. The food is delish... yum!
Pretty good number of Filipino products, though half of it are not authentic and is under the brand "Pamana". Prices are to be expected, but the system of entering and leaving the store could be improved. There is a section for takeout food as well, though the selection here is baffling
most of the customers don't pracyice social distancing.. need more knowledge about it..
Huge selection of stuff and the 3 take out places are pretty deeecent for the $$$
Finally here! Happy that I get to find Filipino foods that I miss. Feels like home, away from home! Very clean and friendly staff! Very Filipino vibe during holiday season!
Amazing products and prepared food..so clean..great restaurants too!! A must try????
Free EV parking and charging for the first 2 hours. Good selection of cooked and fresh foods. Unfortunately, some of the shoppers are lazy and uncaring. They leave their shopping carts all over the parking lot. So car owners, beware.
The takeout is what makes it 5 stars. I'd give the grocery portion a 4.
Not really impressed with the selections, plus I noticed that a lot of the items are overpriced!
This pinoy loved it! And I'm not pinoy.
Yay, love being here because of their BBQ (pork and chicken skewers)???? They are the best????
Prices are good, good selection of products and clean.
I like going here
Love it that we can buy fish, have them cleaned and deep fried for $0.50/lb. Well worth the money and the fish is priced more reasonable that other supermarket. Well worth the trip. Things not on special are significantly more expensive. So buy what's on special.
Nice environment! Organized.
Love the products ????
i feel like im back in the philippines in this store, but the price is nothing like it is in the philippines but that is understandable! good service!
We found it by accident. So happy we did!
Good selection of filipino products, price a bit high
More than seafood. The food court was really busy when we went (lunar new year) so I didn't have a chance to try anything yet. There's a large selection on the shelves so it's a good place to find a variety of imported Asian snacks. For the lactose intolerant, the bakery smells good but many products do contain milk so be attentive. I found one cake that used coconut milk. Can't speak much for the groceries as I wanted snacks but there are a lot of condiments and spice mixes available. I picked up some tamarind soup mix. True to its name there is a nice seafood market that I want to go back for.
Clean and good selection. Helpful staff when choosing a ready-made drink.
Went for evening lunch, bit on pricey side, not impressed. Would not go there fo lunch again.
Amazing selection but the clientele is pushy. Perfect experience.
Wow ... What a gem. Best mangoes we have ever had.
They have great selection of Filipino goods that are hard to find in any other stores. Unfortunately, that comes with a premium since their prices are also a bit higher. The barbeque they sell in their restaurant is superb (though again, a bit expensive). I'm sure i'll be visiting again in the future when i'm craving for Filipino dishes.
Loved the place, but I'd only say that the prices for some products are overpriced, but this is a great place to be at.
Reminds me of Greenhills ????????
Philipino food store with some fruits vegetables noodles fish and very tasty philipino icecream.Friendly Staff
The best Seafood city I've been too because it's new, clean and lots of Filipino foods. Lanzones ! Wow, Mabuhay !
First of all, I'm really happy most people had a good experience at Seafood City. Unfortunately, my experience left A LOT to be desired. There were long lines (about 1 hour per line in the food court -2 to 3 line options) - I feel bad for the (harried) workers dealing with such a long line/backlog/ irate customers - Suki program is buggy on the food court side if you signed up online (make sure to check your points to ensure you won't be missing anything - security guards were busier gossiping inside vs trying to maintain a semblance of order.
Nice place to buy filipino foods and especially jolibee
Only experienced the food court, but was a good experience of Asian food especially street food. Was yum.
Been obsessed with the takeout food hiding in this store. Delicious BBQ pork.
Maybe the only good thing is the jollibee and the selection of products. The bad is it is very expensive and i regularly shop at whole foods, so i know what expensive is. Compared with T&T this place is 1 out of 5 stars. I give it 2 because there are not many stores around there to compare. However, customer volume seems quite low for the saturday evening i was there. It was a cold day and inside in the food court it was freezing!! I was eating jollibee with gloves! I doubt this store is owned by Filipinos as they would know to keep prices reasonable. Pretty poor experience overall. Won't be back to this place.
Very busy but nice place!
Phillipino or pinoy central, kind people and environment, great food, great service, very afforable grocery store prices as well as a great pace to their service and Jollibees right inside for a jolly experience
Great supermarket, beautiful and good place to shopping.
Very expensive to go shopping... We understand the facts that there's rent, workers, and other things to be paid, but so does the other Asian Stores! And yet, other stores can sell it for a cheaper price! But, if you don't mind the price, and you're willing to spend a fortune, then, this is a place to go!!!
I went on opening day to check out the place, given that it is only a 5 minute walk from home. Overall, there was a great selection of Filipino food such as chips, vinegar, exotic seafood such as stingrays and parrotfish but I was …
The food is great and you can find a lot of fruits and food you won't find anywhere else.
Disappointed, pricey and limited stock and variety. Philippino food mart. Better with T & T and didn't see many seafood options.
This is a great place to bring visitors and / or shop for ethnic food items. I would recommend to visit /shop outside the hours of 12pm to 7pm as this range is peak. They have a bakery shop connected to the supermarket and eatery section within. Jolibee is located adjacent and customers can exit into the supermarket. Be prepared to wait in long lines for every prepared food area but, it is worth the wait. I would recommend the foods from the "Grill City". You will not be disappointed.
If you know me well enough, you'll know that I love me some Filipinos. Filipino food is included in that generalized statement! Seafood City is gigantic but that can't contain the multitudes of people that come to this much-anticipated supermarket and fabled food court. The food area is definitely the main attraction at Seafood City and there are three main sections which are CRISPY, GRILL, AND NOODLES. Major lines for all of them but Grill City by far had the longest lines. We got 4 chicken skewers for approx. $22 which is pricey but I'm a total sucker for good Filipino food. It was a 30-minute lineup for skewers that were finished in 7 minutes. You can decide if that was worth it if you come here! It's refreshing to visit a Filipino supermarket and see all the traditional food items that are sold here. Halo-halo, ice cream, pastries, and longanisa are just the tip of the iceberg of this supermarket and you can find some great items to add to your grocery list if you come. Definitely, a must visit but be warned of the HUGE hoards of people that will be here.
Affordable products
The vibe is very Filipino and feel like home. Good food selection and plenty of options to choose from.
Parking space could be a bit wider for each car that parks, and prices could be a bit cheaper, but it's pretty good overall...
It's a one stop store for your grocery and right to take food if your feeling lazy to cook after hard day at work. Clean and organized place to visit with social distancing. The only downside is take home food is a bit price, rather then that everything is good.
I have been to Seafood City multiple times now. We always buy food and snacks whenever it’s my day off. But today’s visit was disappointing due to the rotten Pichix2 I got. It’s April 21 and the packaging says it will expire in the 24th so I bought the snack and when I got home the pichi2x has rotten and sour taste to it. I am dissatisfied with my visit today. I live far from Seafood City and always make an effort to drive there. I called customer service but no one answered. I don’t know if I will trust their food again.
Came here at 9:30 pm on a Tuesday, turned away at the door saying they've been closed for 30 minutes. Hours on the doors haven't changed and neither has google and the website.
Good place for philipino foods maybe a little pricey but very nice
Nice clean store great seafood selection.
Has most of what I need. The only vegan items they have are fruits, vegetables and tofu. Some bread and noodles, but that’s it. I can be creative with everything else, but it’s a decent bare bones sort of market.
Nice supermarket and great choices for filipino products. It is very clean and organized. Took out a star because their markup is through the roof. I wouldn't get all my groceries here but just the products that other groceries dont carry.
Line up out the door, through the store, and into another que on the street.... Maybe next time
Beautiful supermarket with lots of Filipino goodies! Jollibee is right inside too.
Ideal for Asian food in the far east ( Philippines and Jollibee in particular )
Check the expiry dates of what you buy here. The fruit jam we bought was moldy and disgusting. I won't come back here.
good selection of Filipino foods
It was a great experience and good food.
One of the best supermarket hot tables around. Authentic fresh food.
Looks like I am in Asian market. Different experience
Stopped by seafood city during our trip to Niagara Falls to see what the hype was about. It’s a very nice clean location with plenty of food vendors. My family ended up getting a little something from each vendor to just taste and sample. All the pork bbq, halo halo, chicharron and many other dishes was very good. It was our first time going to seafood city since we don’t have any on the eastcoast. Definitely a grocery store chain I would go too on a weekly basis if we had one close by.
Don't know what the big fuss was when this place opened up. You can get better pricing at any other Asian Supermarket. Oddly enough they have Ramune. Edit July 2018: They don't seem to carry ramune anymore. Also with the inception of Jollibee, there is a bigger crowd now, parking seems to be a bit of a mess and it seems less inviting going into the grocery store. Definitely get your meats or produce at any other grocers asides from Seafood City...not worth the headache fighting the crowds and dealing with the prices.
Seafood City is a Filipino mega-market that encompasses produce, dry staples, a food court and of course, plenty of fresh seafood. Has come to embody what’s known in Filipino culture as “sariling atin” or “truly ours,” a community hub for families to get the staples that are merely approximated at other grocers, do the weekly shopping and gather over a meal.
Very good source of Filipino food. There's variety and good selection of sometimes hard to find delicacies.
Things are overly priced. Aisles are very narrow. The fresh meat section had the number system which is a great idea considering how busy the store is. However, the workers do not use the system and only call out whoever is standing at the front. I don't find the dry goods are that special because most of the stuff there can be found at many stores for cheaper. The only thing i find special was the fish gutting service but it was a huge line up. The idea of having a food court in the grocery store is great but the seats/tables are extremely tight. We went out of our way to check out this store but we were a bit disappointed.
Well...the bbq was good I have to give them that BUT the quality of the meals is very bad. Food looks like it's been there for some time if not left over from the night before, it's hard on top or grease is floating to the top. The portions they give is not worth the price you pay, Palabok (noodles) had sauce and a few pieces of ground pork with 1 quarter slice of egg. They should learn from T&T hot table, portion and quality should be a top priority. If they are going to charge for noodles they should have more than JUST noodles. This may work in the states but NOT IN CANADA we have lots of great options for food if they want to compete they better up the quality and portion. Seems like they are more concerned about PROFIT than making customers happy and want to come back.
Sadly its too cluttered and confusing. They don't accept tap anywhere which is a big disappointment. What if i am on a rush. Also lack of customer service. Im pretty sure jolibee will open soon *those who read this and jolibee was open then ignore that part* normally i would see different people of races in every grocery i went. This one only had 10% of different races, and 90% filipino
The place nice and clean. I was in the seafood section and smelled nothing. Great job guys.
Really good for Filipino food.
Best place to purchase my seafood most especially shrimp and beef, chicken it’s just so much cheaper and they have a good selection Of groceries and already cooked food.
Food is great and has variety of selection but expensive. You can also do grocery shopping.
Crispy deep fried meats! Get some!
Is seafood city open on Saturday January 1?
Filipino style grocery. Has great Filipino counters with cooked food inside but a bit above average price wise. The pork BBQ is just like back home. Grill City is where you get grilled stuff. Noodle Street has noodle soups. Crispy Town is where you can get deep fried stuff. Valerios has the baked goods. The Jolibee is still under construction.
Expensive. But I get to find some few things that I look for. The other thing is that I expected the staffs to be super friendly because it's a Filipino store. Sad to say I didn't get hi or hello.
I had a great experience here. They have a large variety of products that a person needs.
Great place to find Filipino goods. Doesn't carry all items but good enough. Also has a few selections of other Asian sweets and snacks from Japan and Korea.
Awesome
The grocery store appears to be well stocked with many varieties of South East Asian specialties.
Good selection of fresh seafood.
Very clean Asian supermarket. Can find a lot Philippines stuff. They have a good food course too.
Honestly my go-to place for all asian condiments and meats. Also 10/10 for cleanliness compared to most other supermarkets.
Food is so great! Highly recommended. staff are very accommodating, everything is well organized.
Yum so good and fresh will definitely be back at this location
I love this place . It has all the Filipino foods you could ever need . Plus a lot of friendly Filipino people who speak good English and Ilocano just like my awesome girlfriend . I highly recommend it , even if you live 90 minutes away like I do , lol .
Very clean place, you have to come here with the mentality that this is a "specialty" supermarket. So prices are expect to a big higher. But sadly the a lot of things are way overpriced compared to other Asian markets such as TNT or FoodyMart. The food prices are pretty expensive as well, and honestly does appear the price matches the quality and portion. Over it is a good experience . Will I ever shop here? Maybe on a sale day,but it doesn't make sense if TnT offers almost 90% of things they provided other than cooked food.
Bad food handling people eat drink in the grill area no hair net Bad service Bad workers
Food court food is pretty good here. They just opened up a Jolibee's too by the Supermarket.
Good place to get fresh fishes and Shrimp on very reasonable price.
(Translated) Crispy (Original) Crispy
It's my first time to do shopping in this place. I.like it because looks like all Philippine.product is here..love it.
This place is a zoo! Crazy crowded and noisy due to the huge food court that's part of this supermarket. Definitely not a place to go for a leisurely shopping trip.
Missing the filipino foods! First time that i got here, I was broke! Ordered a lot of foods from crispy town and my mom ordered bbq. The food is great. Can’t wait fo jollibee to open. This place is super duper busy especially during the weekends.
If you're craving for pinoy food and drinks, they have it all here! Thou goods are very expensive especially the cakes and 'kakanin', and so are the cooked foods and they are not as tasty as the other competing pinoy resto in the area. The bbq and pork liempo taste great but they cost gold, 2 pcs for $20 no rice, sidedish or whatsoever.
Grocery is too over price, but they are clean and you can ask the fish section to cook your fish for $.50 cent. Might as well go to Ocean, or B-Trust they price is way better have a lot off Asian and goods.
I like the market but the service today Crispy Town was just terrible. 4 people behind "working" but none were helping anyone in line, just standing there ignoring the customers.
The place is a little bit crowded but maybe because it's a new store. Although, it is not as spacious as I expected, it is well organized. It's not difficult to find what you need. Most of their goods, items, or food you can buy are from Philippines. There two main Filipino food stores: Grill City and Crispy Town. All grilled and fried food, obviously. There are deserts and delicacies from Philippines too.
Want to understand Filipino culture? Go through Filipino food! It's a Filipino-first grocery store but they also carry ready-to-eat BBQs as well as other favourites that are pretty mainstream. It is the first Seafood City location outside …
It is just another grocery store. Did not find anything particular interesting. For cooked food, I still prefer Nations. grocery, I still prefer yuanming. But it is just my opinion.
Too many Asian products to choose from, bring s nostalgia, cost would be about twice it's normal cost
great food awesome service
Good place for Asian grocery shopping. Filipino food and grocery majority. Food service is fresh and tasty but a bit expensive for the portion you receive. Groceries were slightly over priced but there is mainly products from Philippines. I'd like to see more products from the South Asian countries, so there is more variety of selections. But overall, good place for quick bite to eat if your looking for Filipino grocery and food.
That’s the place where you buy seafood
I love to come and buy my groceries here. They have a huge variety of seafoods to choose from. You can also ask them to clean and cook it for you free of charge. What a incredible service!!???? Fruits and vegetables are mostly individually wrapped to keep the products fresher for longer. Face masks are required to get in and social distancing is properly implemented. The Price of goods are decent. You can also enjoy the Asian cuisine in their three restaurants inside.
All the food staff department still think the cooking time would be 45 min for a single food but from what experience it doesn’t even take 45 min to cook
It had a lot of built up hype behind it. Today was my first successful visit, but perhaps I expected too much. It was definitely not what I'd expected. They seemed to have alot of the same foods at different areas, giving a false impression of a larger variety. The flavor if the food is not for everyone. Will give it a second chance a little further down the road.
Oh my... So much delicious food crammed in one building! Friendly staff, good selection, can't wait to go back for more!
when i crave asian food, i go here. plus the price tags were already computed after tax.
Good services. Prices are not attractive compared to Superstore. I bought vegetables and fish and the quality was good. Fruits are extremely pricey.
Likely the largest Philipino supermarket around - come for unique Pinoy ingredients for you next recipe challenge: tropical fruit (jackfruit, breadfruit, and other mad fruits), ube (purple yam) everything (purple condensed milk for your coffee?), live seafood and a bustling food court, then line up at the legend that is Jollibee - you'll have more than enough time in line to watch Anthony Bourdain's review for it on Parts Unknown. At the moment it's new and constantly crowded (Aug. 2018) - _Asia_ crowded, so be extra prepared, but your kids will love it the whole time. * Disclaimer: am Asian.
I love this place. It’s like I’m visiting another country. Great produce selection and unique product
Carries a wide variety of products not available at most stores in Winnipeg. Fish purchased was not particularly fresh.
alternative choice
Always great experience at this location. Clean, organized, fish section is really good.
This store is ridiculous!!the cakes has a lot of cheese Molds and still selling it .the expiration date which is already expired was replaced with a new red sticker
Quality Filipino food, nice ambiance, but slightly expensive.
Great supermarket that is clean and not smelly. Lots of interesting Asian produce and packaged goods. Some things you cannot get anywhere else. They also have a small food court.
Great Lechon at Crispy Town and the sticks at Grill City are always yummy. One time I got some Cebu/Lechon from Grill City, left over from a special order and it was heaven. It had herbs and spice in between the layers. The staff here has been quite friendly and helpfull. Looking forward to my next trip. Peace. D
Great place for fresh BBQ and hot foods. Avoid frozen food area. Most items are rancid. Dumplings are the worst. Reported to AHS for follow-up.
Seems ok????
Nice, friendly and responsive staff, will always visit this place for groceries
Filipino supermarket chain. Everything is filipino. Big place but they made it congested accomodating other outlets like grillcity....
Excellent store for Philippino and Asian food and products.
We found the meat section to be clean and the meat products are good too plus the price is just right. We've started to patronize this place and hopefully they would continue to serve us well. Oh..hope they would be strict in following the protocol of social distancing as it seems to be crowded at certain times.
Very clean. Fair price. Large food court with traditional Filipino food.
If you don’t know the filipinos culture very well your gona have a bad time. Go with someone who can speak it. Go to a filipino restaurant instead.
Great food at crunchy. And did all the shopping fun time was had by all.
Great selection of ready to eat food and amazing seafood section but missing live crab and lobster. They will tend to all your fish needs, clean, pack and grill.
Great filipino goods and foods
Fresh produce and plenty of other items. San Miguel beer too. No need to hunt it down at the beer store anymore. Staff are friendly and helpful. One tip... don't go there hungry. The BBQ will call you. Lol. Enjoy !!
I wish there were one of these further north but it is definitely worth the drive. Not only do they stock a lot of international brands that are incredibly difficult to find elsewhere but the restaurants inside are great as well. Please open a location in Vaughan or Aurora.
Nice food offers. Perfect for a once in a while high cholesterol galore.
Lots of cool Filipino and Asian food. Great produce, snacks and meat. There's even a food section with grilled meat and ready to eat platters. Had lots of fun discovering cool items.
Love it, amazing food and great quality. The whole outside of the store is a veritable bonanza of tasty delights and meat & fish processing..... Mmmmmmmmmmmm, I am not joking! Check it out!
Customers keep on parking at curbside pickup spots even they are going in the store for grocery. Telephone number hotline is not listed on the post signage but other than that, the staff went out quickly after I called the phone number listed on Google.
I ordered chicken skin yesterday and i got disappointed when i saw tons of chicken hair in it which made me lose my appetite. Gross!
nice
Its an all asian (filipino)food market! Everything u want, u can find it here... pinoy foods, pinoy breads, cakes and pastries and best of all Jollibee is there! Give them 5☆☆☆☆☆
The grocery store is pretty nice and feels like home (Philippines) the cooked food, on the other hand, is pretty lame. The portions of the food and the price don't match. I'd rather go to a simple local Filipino restaurant to eat rather than here.
Wider varities of Filipino goodies and seafoods. Love the fastfood area.
Love all the items I find in this super market. Though it's sad in this day and age that this business does not support Apple / Samsung pay and tap payments at the register. I avoid this store and other business that don't support tap.
The Jollibee gives the location a 5 star as my wife loves the food. As for the grocery store it's not bad but doesn't offer much different than t&t
Good Filipino BBQ and selection of different food. There's 3 in-store restos and now Jollibee is open too. You can also grab your grocery which accomodates most of the place. Valerios bakery at the far end completes your food and grocery shopping.
Good place for Philipino food.
fgh
February 2021 This is my 4th visit and been spending $$$ each time. This last visit was probably the worst experience I've ever had in my shopping. Half of the produce are not fresh at all. The Turon, which is a sweet banana wrapped roll was greasy and I can tell it was cooked in a recycled oil which was used in cooking fish, undeniably can smell and taste fishy. Bought a bagoong (shrimp paste) that didn't have an expiration date and when I opened it, it looked not so fresh and dry to the taste. On the seafood section, I bought round scad wrapped in a plastic bag in which I had it fried as it was offered free cleaning and frying. I picked it up wrapped in paper and plastic bag. At the till, I noticed the strong smell of the fried fish and it was stinky! I didn't think much about the smell so I paid for my grocery and went home. As I was excited to have the fried fish for dinner, I went ahead and ate it with my steamed rice. An hour hasn't gone by and I started vomiting and diarrhea simultaneously. This went on for a whole 24 hour period with no relief in site. I didn't have must choice but to phone 911 and was at the hospital for about 8 hours. I was fully dehydrated that there were concerns of my kidney functions. They had to give me 5 bags of intravenous rehydration solutions to hydrate my body. TO MANAGEMENT: YOU SHOULDN'T SELL SPOILED FISH OR ANY KIND OF SEAFOOD. IN ADDITION, PROPER KEEPING AND STORAGE MUST BE MAINTAINED SUCH AS THE PRESENCE OF CRUSHED ICE WHEN SELLING UNFROZEN ONES. DURING MY LAST VISIT, IVE NOTICED SOME OF YOUR SEAFOOD SUCH AS THE ROUND SCAD I BOUGHT AND BLUE CRABS ARE NOT IMBEDDED IN ICE! AS MUCH AS I WANT TO PATRONIZE YOUR GROCERY STORE WHICH IS SUPPOSEDLY NAMED " SEAFOOD CITY" I EXPECTED IT TO BE THE ON TOP AND BEST WHEN IT COMES TO SEAFOOD. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I HAD PLACED MY HEALTH AT RISK DUE TO YOUR SPOILED FISH!!! I HOPE CITY OF EDMONTON FOOD INSPECTORS WILL PAY A SURPRISED VISIT AND DO A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF YOUR SEAFOOD SECTION. #CITYOFEDMONTON #ALBERTAHEALTHSERVICES #FOODINSPECTORS
Satisfies your Filipino cravings, but most items are pricier than if you can the same items at Chinese supermarkets.
Its a great place to shop for Asian products but its also a great place to eat with lots of options from Grill city, Crispy town and Noodle street. When you are a filipino like me eating here feels very nostalgic. You get that Fiesta feel of the Philippines.
Coffee, which we use to have while attending marriage functions in India, is available here!
everything you can buy here in a cheap price
Big grocery store with a lot of Filipino items and a great food court with a variety of Filipino foods
Organized and clean but pricing is a bit high especially for the mini food area there. The food is pretty expensive, take a look at the photos below.
Okay quality. Prices aren't cheap but aren't terrible. People are friendly. Management is awful. - Scales at cash register do not work - Tap to pay does not work - Pin entry to pay does work, but then they make you sign it?? -Costco-like receipt checkers make the lines even worse
Great service, well-maintained cleanliness and organized merchandise. Great place to eat and shop for Filipino food and asian stuff. Huge selection of merchandise and unique experience of its own. Great selection of fresh produce, unique products and services from meat and fish section, well-organized groceries section. Customer service is fantastic. Food court has a vast selection great and authentic Filipino food that you can never taste and experience anywhere else in Canada. Perfect place to showcase authentic Filipino taste! Two thumbs Up!
I tried their overpriced chicharon bulaklak which was $20 for one piece. How was it? Disgusting. The center was raw. My cousin from back home told me that it really wasn’t cooked properly since chicharon bulaklak is supposed to be crunchy as a whole. Just the thought of them serving these the whole day is sickening already. I don’t think I’ll be eating chicharon bulaklak again anytime soon. Thank you Seafood City.
I love getting my grocery here sometime but some food a bit pricey though.
The food court was packed when i went on a saturday night. The price is i think lower than superstore because i got so much groceries for the same amount of money i spend at superstore.
This place is a family to us..we are from Fort McMurray and we are driving every week for our groceries..Madam Nancy is known to us from our first visit with my 3 little boys. So much greatfull to have an environment likw this while shopping..love you guys!!
Was hoping for a larger selection of spices.
Went here early in the week and was dissapointed with the produce department...it was fantastic when the store first opened but you can tell it hasn't been looked after well at all. With such an amazing store overall the crappy produce ruins the experience and makes me think twice about taking the long drive up there. I notified a clerk without being rude that these things are gonna drive customers away. I also understand that weekdays are slower but there are ways to adjust and still offer fresh product. The rest of the store is very good though.
A unique experience for a supermarket. Food court is a must try. Busy but worth visiting.
Amazing experience visiting this place. It's like being in an upscale shopping mall in Manila. Definitely worth visiting.
Great supermarket for Filipino and Thai groceries. The eating area does get crowded on the weekends as the seating area is limited. Wide selection of fish and they offer free cleaning!
The selection and the freshness of seafood is great.
Wished employees wore hair nets at the food section area.
Good place to have lunch and so grocery. Although the prices for pretty much everything are a tad too expensive but so worth it to have the taste of home again. I don't do much grocery there since it's expensive and can get the same items at a slightly lower or same price here in London. We mainly go for the food court and Jollibee. The overall appearance of the store is nice and clean and tidy. Washrooms too. ????
Our favorite place for fresh fish and seafood. Prices are reasonable and good quality. We buy fresh mussels often and rarely have any bad ones. Their Grill City takeaway can be pricey, but very good!
First time in this store. Its awesome will definitely go back
Grill City: Worst customer service. Ordered online thru skip and when delivered there were missing items. I called in to ask and was given an explanation that their online ordering menu is wrong. I was then forwarded to manager since I complained that this is false advertising. So the manager kept arguing with me that it was not their mistake that their online menu was wrong (unbelievable, so it was my mistake then??) and had the audacity to tell me it was not his fault because he was not the one who packaged my order (no accountability! Doesn’t own up to the mistakes of his staff). The fact that the manager doesn’t know how to appease an upset customer and doesn’t know how to rectify the issue only means that this establishment needs to retrain its staff and employees.
The bibingka in Pinoy Street food, taste bland and mushy. Making the price very expensive. Oh the grated coconut is cold and bland as well. The macaroni in the sopas is mushy also. Feels like it's more than 2 days already. Sopas is also bland.
This place is great if you want Filipino food, plus, they have Jollibee at the same building. ???????? I just wanna warn you tho, the smell is not very pleasant.
went in here with my mom for tomatoes and bananas and we're never going in here again. both things were mouldy and bad. that was disgusting. i don't recconmend this place at all. i'll stick with safeway, they don't put bad stuff out. if i could give this place zero stars i would!
Over priced and rude customer service
Descent
Love this place , since it open thursday , we"ve been there 3x in a row, now I don't have to cook if we crave for filipino food , I just hope the taste of their food won't change .????
Lovely place for groceries and seafood shopping. Fresh vagitables and fruits are available on reasonable price.
Super busy on the weekends. Definitely can find what you need. Still a little pricey compared to other supermarkets.
Why does your chicken smell? Is it really supposed to smell like that?
Come here for the groceries, don't stay for the food. Over priced food-to-go that has people lining up for a long time, just to find that the food you grab is expensive as hell. I wouldn't complain too much about the price, if the quality was there but it wasn't met. Sub par at best, understand that I'm Filipino at the food served here is bland. You're better off elsewhere, like Something Sweet, where it's more wholesome and packed with flavour. Clean floors and washrooms (if needed). But only coming back to get some groceries because it's "closer" than Nations or Oceans. TBH wasn't worth the hype, really waiting for Jollibee.
One stop shop for all food. Friendly and helpful staff all around.
I would say when it comes to serving amount of foods, its way better in Calgary branch. When it comes to staff/crew, they are always in a hurry need more training.
A Filipino oriented supermarket, Seafood City provides a plethora of ingredients that might be hard to obtain elsewhere. The food court selection is always very good. The major flaws of this store are the issues that most Asian super markets suffer from: organization and questionable cleanliness. That being said, both of these attributes are minimal and don't seem to effect the experience. Overall, very solid Asian super market and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
Love the food and grocery as long as you don't come during peak times otherwise you have to wait so long.
Good atmosphere, helpful staff, excellent inventory.
Great food Fresh sea food A must to go and eat
My husband Grant and I were so happy to find kangkong hence complete ingredients for pork sinigang! Native delicacies are a bit pricey and can improve taste like kutsinta. The butchi and bibingka were okay, arroz caldo can improve. Just the same, we look forward to our next shopping experience. So many Pinoy products, feels like Philippines! What a great shopping spree!
Love that I can choose a fresh fish and have them clean and fry it for me. Excellent experience with their staff.
50 50 depends on when you get there. During rush food off grill is amazing but off rush food is cold.
First time comming hear great place for shopping had everything I was looking for
An assortment of fish & meats. Clean shopping facility. Can get overcrowded in the food court & produce area. Personable staff. A variety of Filipino and Asian groceries.
Awesome a Filipino town/mall. Craving Filipino dishes more than sure something to tickle your fancy. Well priced foods for good size portions and delicious. More than sure enough you will be eating or snacking before you get to your vehicle.
Was wonderful experience with special delicious food and reasonable price, also knows sooo pleased with the warm staff servings and greetings
Amazing food and the best thing is, you don't need to purchase an airplane ticket to taste the authentic Filipino Cuisine. This place is my kitchen. I have no time to cook and Seafood City prepare it for me. Staff so friendly and everyday all the foods are fresh. The grilled bangus is to die for. Maraming Salamat that you open a store here in Canada.
Love the place! Clean and not smelly. They have fresh veggies, fish and meat and most of all Filipino foods that I love! Imagine I found fresh banana(saba) not the frozen one... it's really cool! And of course great Filipino workers who's always have that smile in their faces.
Loved the place. First time here... Clean that's a first especially at the fish department. Enjoyed some hot soup will be back soon
Very nice Filipino grocery store with a wide selection of seafood. The ladies that run the fish counter are the nicest csr ladies you will ever meet. The fish frying is very efficient and the end result is delicious. This location has ample parking and clean new restroom facilities.
I went to Seafood City today to buy a few groceries. I was going to get a basket, but they were so disgustingly dirty I wouldn't even touch them. I walked through the entire store and they have a very extensive choice of groceries. I noticed the majority of items were more expensive than the stores I usually frequent. eg: 3.25% milk usually costs me $4.89 per 4 liter, Here it cost me $6.35 that's 30% more. 30% more on your grocery bill is substantial. I only ended up buying 5 items as my arms and hands were full without the use of a basket.
Its like any other asian supermarket but I will say that their hot food is delicious ????
Seafood City feels like home, the Philippines. Its like a trip down memory lane when you go over the aisles and food. Great place to get affordable veggies and fruits, and a must for finding Filipino food and snacks! Go there and you will definitely see a Pinoy friend too!
My good friend loves Noodle House, Grill City, Bakers Avenue!
Fair prices. Great service. Great perks.
Super busy but looking good. Hot plates are great.
Probably the best place for both Filipino groceries and for fast food. Everything you would need to do flipino cooking is likely here. However, given its popularity and relatively small size, the crowds are unbelievable and can feel quite cramped inside. Doesn't help that every inch of the store is used to sell something. Be prepared to wait a long time for the 'fast' food.
Reasonable prices, wide variety of fish and east Asian commodities
Rude and the casher was not getting my order right
Great place to get Filipino food and ingredients
Worst store layout I have ever seen
We Filipinos love Seafood City. Honestly, this is much cleaner than the ones in the LA area. However, I am deducting stars because the groceries are more expensive than the competing Asian grocery stores. However, their halo-halo is bomb and reasonably priced. They also have pretty great food, even if expensive for the serving size (I'm American though). They make fresh longganisa, too. Haven't tried it here, but I've tried the one in Carson. It's great stuff. I'm not including Jollibee in my star list, but it's much too crowded, just like the Philippines.
Our first visit. It must be good for Phillipinos. Not very sure of pricing. One thing is good for time being I.e. go fishing, get it cleaned and cooked.
Love the selection of food. Super clean and organized. Amazing selection of restaurants as well.
I found people eating behind counter at the restaurant with no hair nets and serving clients totally grossed
They fry fish for you
I love this grocery store it's too bad they don't have one on the Southside but I stop in whenever I'm in the west.
Lots of various items available
Great Filipino supermarket, with great fresh fast food, can be for to go or dine in.
The store is always spotless The selection is fantastic The store as well organized and the different food vendors is amazing you guys wowed me as always another great experience thanks very much.
Awesome place to stop for lunch or a snack
Prices kinda peak tbh but this ain't no superstore. Tried bagnet for the first time and got a heart attack. Crispy and grill city got nice food. Noodle town is trash though.
Great place to get alot of Filipino brands and food. Usually have a pretty good selection of fast foods as well as prepared foods.
I love the food at grill city Altho it is a bit pricey and can be busy af
Well. I was not expecting all the thing's I found. So many choices. Staff was wonderful.
It was okay
Its a scam market, i buy a fish which was absolutely tasteless and all the meat was taken from the fish and was filled with the veggies.
Very good selection for Filipino and other South Asian food items. A little pricier than other stores but for good reason with the convenience of having a variety to choose from under one roof.
Finally a place that sell only Asian food, unlike Ample that sell Indian, Jamaican, now white food...And I don’t get why people are complaining about less variety, this is an Asian market, let us have our own store, go to Ample market if you don’t like it then. And the Filipino food, especially the BBQ are DELICIOUS! I can not wait for jolly bee to open. I love this store, I hope it does not change! And as for people complaining about long line ups, really? You have not been to Costco? Walmart? It’s really silly, and it’s better to have a lot of people, that’s business, if we don’t have people buying, the store won’t do well. And for the people complaining about only Filipinos eat their....DUH! It’s Filipino food, so us Filipinos will go their, just like how white people go to their restaurants, and how Jamaican people go to theirs, the same goes for Indians...but if Asians are eating Asian food, it’s absurd? People in the reviews are dumb....
Awesome store
Just when you thought pork belly couldn’t possibly taste better... this place has deep fried pork belly ???????? Bursting with flavour but not gamey, crispy and crunchy but still juicy. Perfect amount of saltiness.. it’s heavenly. My rating is solely based on this one item here haha
A lot of variety of Filipino delicacies and foods that you cannot find anywhere else. Pricing is decent. Staff are great and helpful.
(Translated) It ’s a real love to eat here, the pork skewers taste pretty good, and the beef hotpot and egg noodles are pretty good (Original) 能到这吃饭的算是真爱了,猪肉串味道还不错,牛肉火锅蛋面也挺好
Seafood selection is quite extensive, living up to the name of the place. Also lots of Filipino snacks and other items. HOWEVER, this probably the most outrageously expensive grocery store I have ever shopped in. Four pork bbq sticks for $22.00!! I had to stare at the package for longer than usual as I could not believe what I was seeing. Same with any of the fruit items as they are close to double the price anywhere else. If there is something you need to remind yourself of the Philippines then this will do the job but be prepared to pay at least double the price of anywhere else.
Absolutely love this store it has so much variety of options for everyone. Very cultural and very clean!
Very organized, the best in Mississauga ????
I love the bakery over there. Garlic cheese bun was so yummy.
It's a new "go-to" place for people who wants fresh seafood. They have a large collection of Asian spices that we miss, and they even have Tabo for sale. It can get crowded in the afternoon so come early. They also have grilled foods, crispy pata (pork knuckles), and many viands to choose from when you get hungry from the shopping. It can get pricey depending on what you choose. The place is clean and organized. Their staffs are willing to help and for those who came from far places, they are willing to place ice in the seafood that you purchased so that it will stay fresh during your travel.
rude cashier at food court
Good food and lots of choices for grocery items
Great food , great place , clean great staff , well stocked , delish filipino grub !
Store is really clean, staff are polite and helpful, and the prices of their products are fair. Though there are still some Filipono products that are lacking in my opinion.
I give 4 stars because the missing taste of sauces are not there, the lechon traditional sauce and fish traditional sauce.
A lot of Filipino based products here, their food court is amazing, best go there when it's not too busy.
Good food! ! Try it....
I really love buying my tongo lunch and dinner here. The food is so good, and yummy. But sometimes I feel it's too expensive, sometimes they giving me a great portion of food sometimes less than aswell.. but still it's great for to go food.
Great assortment of asian products! Also has a very nice sit down dine inf or the variety of restaurants that are available inside the supermarket
Worth travelling 3.5 hrs. I just love going here to get my oriental goods, especially my pandesal at Valerio. Fresher fish, meat, etc. Also dropping boxes at Atlas.
Great supermarket! Seafood city celebrates true Filipino goodness. They have endless Filipino snacks. They have access to to Valerio's tropical bakery along with 4 other mini food places. This places is like a one stop shop. Just spend the entire afternoon here to satisfy your hunger. Jollibee will be open soon.
Lotsa pinoy food, really nice groceries. I tried the pinoy street food stand and it was awesome. If you're Filipino or have Filipino wife and you're in Mississauga, drop by by all means.
Good place for Filipino food. Fresh seafoods.
Such a nice store to buy Filipino groceries and food.
Bought Halo-halo yesterday afternoon, tasted good but half way saw a little hair. ????????????????
They need to add more tables and chairs on the food court. A lot of people including myself have to change places just because the food court is always full.
I feel like am in the Philippines and the lady cashier ahe is very entertaining.
love grilled city mostly their food is good especially pork barbecue, reasonable price, clean work station
Amazing selection of Philipino groceries with an extensive selection of take out Philipino dishes and a food court.
Good selection of Filipino foods and great eating area. I find it a little pricey, but has everything you would want.
Hygiene is perfect ???? good and kind professional staff ???? fast service.
The food is okay but the fried chow mein noodles from the noodle restaurant sucks. I bought one today and the beef was super sweet and an odd tasting sweet. Could’ve been the sauce they used?? But it wasn’t a pleasant taste.. I just hope it wasn’t expired or anything. It didn’t taste like the usual kind that you would buy from a Chinese restaurant.
They don't have much items in sales, not like other oriental stores.
Great selection of seafood and veggies as well also have a ton of different cuts of meat and an in-store butcher. Lots of Filipino products as this is definitely a Filipino store.
My go to Filipino store in Edmonton. We never go anywhere else. They have the best Filipino to-go/food court stalls. They also have Filipino ingredients that you can never find anywhere else.
Nice store. Clean. Well organized. Price is a bit high but you get good service. Plus they sell some baked good from local Filipino bakers.
Got a chance to try out their food for free from grill and crispy city inside the supermarket and their food items are decent! Was able to have a glimpse of the supermarket inside and it was very clean and very big!!
Well organized, large variety of fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood and Asian food. Great food court.
Takes forever to.checkout. its like they only hire the laziest employees they can find. 45min and 2nd in line
Great store experience.
Food is great!
Great food albeit pricey. Great genuine Filipino experience.
Was pleasantly surprised to see this store in Edmonton, ran across it by chance. Happy finding items I have looked for and could not find in a regular store. Very clean and very helpful staff! Will definitely be a regular shopper :)
1. Price is high when bench maked with Lucky supermarket or T & T supermarket. 2. The fish cleaning is not satisfactory and proper. Fins abd scales are still there. The free cleaning is just a marketing gimmick. It is not properly cleaned or cut. 3. The sea food, especially the marine fish are not fresh or lively. Most of them are frozen and days old. 4. Lack of variety and selection in the marine fish section. More wide selection and diversity needed. Expensive !
Went here and wow do these people have good Filipino selection! Great food, Jollibee and Valerio’s, nice big supermarket and pretty decent amount of parking due to the fact that the parking is shared with other shops in the area. Also right beside a Congee Queen. Overall a great place to be!
Very good food the marinated pork belly grill is good and the barbecue pork
There was a long line up seems unorganized with covid protocols
The barbecue stuff really good but I'd be careful with picking up some of their baked cakes and such. I bought a Yema Cake from there and I found mold at the very bottom of the cake.
(Translated) Yummy Filipino food, diniguan, sisig and more! (Original) Yummy Filipino food, diniguan, sisig and laing!
They sell good quality and tasty food ????
A bit pricy compared to other asian store, I like the seafood section
Grill city, very expensive for that kind of food..it doesn't worth the price...small plate rize and chiken $15.00 ..OMG. (no drink) I'll never come back there !!!
Way too crowded! They even let people in without wearing a mask! I saw also, that one of the cooks didn't wear a mask, while preparing food. And the kitchen is fully packed. Not really acceptable, even almost all of them wearing a mask.
Love their grilled dood items!
New place to explore...
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I bought a dessert pack of espasol and biko yesterday and brought it to work, when I was about to eat it, I saw MOLD on the espasol!!! When I got back home, the pieces underneath the ones I took had …

please improve your heating system. customers eating at the food court section are freezing cold!
Tried contacting the store for 3 days to pre-order some food since I had no time to personally go to the store. Called multiple times but no one would pick. I finally went to the store in person to try and order some food but the staff really rude. Would not recommend
Noodle Street has better bihon dish than Grill City. Grill City's dinuguan is weird with chicken meat in it...not the same taste. Love the Halo-halo at Noodle Street.
Lost of fresh products, friendly employees and very helpful.
It’s a good place if you want fresh fish. They do a great job at cleaning the fish. The only issue is they are very slow.
Excellent place to shop. It's nice because even wearing a mask the staff still remember me especially Marie in crispy town she's always happy and puts a smile on my face everytime I deal with her at crispy city. Very nice young lady. I highly recommend seafood city always the best in good genuine service.
Cool store and all but I and the 2 I was with did not like the food we got at the noodle section..at all.
Great place full of exotic food and snacks. And the food court is amazing!!
Most of my Asian food shopping done here. The employees are friendly. The products are neat, organized and most of all are fresh and clean. Overall I am very satisfied.
Lots of cooked food to choose.
Very expensive food for a fast food joint. Customers are not practicing social distancing although there are signs and markers. It's so crowded servers are rushing customers to order. My tray was pushed all the way to the cashier and I was left behind at the back of the line. Cashier was yelling my name but due to the high volume of people not practicing social distancing, I couldn't hear my name. Also, I was not finished ordering food. Roast pork (or was it deep fried) was overcooked, chewey and tough. Barbecue pork was chewey and too sweet. Palabok was very salty and no taste. Pork chop was overcooked and tough (again deep fried?). It seems they deep fry a lot of their food. However, I like the pancit malabon. My wife liked the deep fried prawns, tilapia and bangus. We both enjoyed the expensive halo halo . No inside dining area. There are tables and chairs outside the building. Try eating outside at -25 degree celcius. Hellooo, what are you guys thinking!!! The person/s who did the planning probably do not live in Edmonton. I doubt if any employee has a Food Safety certificate. I very much doubt if any of their cooks have a journeyman certicate in culinary. Servers are cashiers too. No assigned employee as cashier. Servers are not washing hands and changing gloves after they cash out a customer. Will not go there again unless my wife forces me to. Happy wife, happy life!
Lots of choice filipino stuff but can be a bit pricy.. Just beware
We live hours away from Toronto and was craving for longanisa among other things so we ordered online and asked a family friend to pick up the groceries. We were so happy but disappointed when we found out that the Pamana Jumbo Sweet Pork Longanisa was best consumed by 081821 (August 18, 2021); I ordered the items just last Friday (Aug 27th). This shouldnt be on their shelves to begin with anymore, but still made its way to my home. I feel like a superstore with an established name carrying trusted brands shouldnt be selling items that's past the best by date.
Must get your Pork BBQ's here!! Absolutely YUMMY!!!!
Totally waste old fishes they are selling. Waste of money.
Good place to shop Filipino products. I just don't like their plastic bags because it is so small so if you are shopping lots of stuff and you didn't bring reusable shopping bags, you will end up carrying so many small plastic bags with you. Always bring your own shopping bags.
I bought this chicken I eat like a charcoal
It is a great place to get a taste of Filipino dishes like the famous bbq and pancit. Too crowded on the weekend.
WE bought food in Crispy town this evening but the cashier who is working there is not nice. My husband asked how much is the value meal for the milkfish and he thought that its one whole fish but the fish is only half so when he went to the cashier he asked again about the price and the cashier said if he buy only fish its $13.99 and the value meal is $12.99 half fish and rice so my husband decided to buy the whole fish instead. The cashier who is working there was so rude and she doesnt know customer service. If she is tired then she should not be working there. I think the management should teach their staff about customer service.
Fantastic place! And they're opening in Scarborough soon, too!
Complete Filipino supplies and foods
Although it was pretty packed the time I visited, it was understandable due to the fact that it had just opened a few weeks earlier. I got the chance to dine at the BBQ place (near the entrance) I think that line was the probably the longest one - probably meant it was the best too! Lol, anyway, their skewers were HUGE! I got a chicken skewer, paired with another pork dish and rice. On the side, a drink of calamansi juice - all very yummy! Line up wasn't too bad and staff were so friendly and helpful towards any questions I had. I loved coming here bc it just reminded me of being back home some odd years ago. I miss it so much now and made me feel kinda homesick. I was kind of sad that I didn't see one of the Lucky Me noodles I was hoping to get - I still haven't found it anywhere but the Philippines, so the search continues! Fish is fresh, the selection is INSANE, and be prepared to bump into at least 4 people you know if you're Filipino. A must visit and try if in the area. Come right before closing to avoid longer line ups, overcrowding, and also in hopes of you finding a nearby parking spot, that would be my advice to you!
Great selection of Filipino food.. but Crispy Town is wayyy too expensive I always buy Bagnet here but my recent purchase was not all good because they included big chunks of bone before weighing it on top of that I asked for it to be chopped.. instead the lady was lazy chopped it in BIG CHUNKS!!.. I would not come back unless they stop adding bone to their Bagnet. Poor SERVICE
Crazy expensive! You are better off buying at any of the other Chinese run stores in Sauga. More like price gouging as they know people will visit for the novelty, but with stuff, especially grocery and frozen foods around 15-20% higher than what you'd normally find in other stores, I won't be shopping here.
Worst place to shop for groceries. I bought Atlantic salmon, but the cashier did not put this in my package. I found out only when I arrived home. You just stole $ 13 from me.
Great place, love the food, soooo good, the chicken skewers sell out soo fast.
I love the food and they have latin products as well.
Food, price and options are great but I noticed that every transaction I make I have to queue in long time
Lots of great filipino products here. Sometimes they even have fresh calamansi!!!!
The store is fairly big and clean. I ordered some chicken skewers with rice from Crispytown (the hot food that they sold there). They were pretty good, and the price was great. The only problem I had was with one of the workers (some younger girl with dyed white/platinum blonde hair) who just responded with something that was similar to “Yeah Yeah..” when my father asked if she could wrap it (which she didnt end up doing, causing some of the food to spill in the bag) since we saw her wrapping up the other peoples food too. Imo, she didnt seem too friendly, although the rest of the workers seemed respectful. I also noticed that there was also not much social distancing either.
Omgulay this place is amazing! They had a really good assortment of foods and I felt like I was back home in Manila. I would've given 5 stars but they sold me the wrong bananas that weren't labelled properly and the washroom doors need to be fixed because my pare got stuck in one
Disorganized, limited selection and poor food quality. And yes, overpriced for what you are getting!
Lot of nice foods, fresh meat and fish are well displayed. I wish they weight in kilogram not in pound.
Nicely laid out ,clean will shop there sgsin
Goods are super expensive compared to the same product found at a competing Chinese/ Asian store. Some staff are rude and entitled - doesn't reflect Filipino attitude. Do not be fooled by the positive reviews, they probably from the staff of the store. Avoid the cooked food as well, expensive and gross, you are better off buying from a small Filipino store across the street and friendlier staff too.
Mediocre seafood. Good variety of sauces and vinegars of various ethnic origins. Good produce with some hard to find items.
5 stars
You better try deep fried anchovies. It's their best-seller. Fresh fish you buy from Seafood city can be cleaned free of charge. You just need to wait as there is a long queue. Better be there early in the morning. Now we are a fan of Seafood City. Just hope that their groceries will be at par or even lower with the prices of other Asian store. If this happens, then this store is perfect.
Pasko na sa seafood city! Wow lots Filipino dishes and delicacies. You have to be early to beat the line up at the food court. But the visit, the food and experience is awesome! The 3 silog for 15 Canadian dollars is one of the best deal in their menu. And if you like fresh fish cleaned for free. Try their frying service for a small fee. Saves you a lot of hassle and your house from smelling fried fish all day. I highly recommend it.
Very busy place. Friendly people. We ate at their food court. It took a while to find an empty table. We had chicken noodles soup from noodle street. It was good. Chicken was just ok. BBQ squid with rice from grill city was good. The fried fish from crispy town was very good.
Was impressed by the choices. Store is clean and staff are friendly.
Amazing place! I'm so grateful that they have a mega Filipino food/grocery store nearby. The food tastes fresh, friendly customer reps, and wonderful Filipino music. I feel like I'm back home.
Cooked food was inedible and very expensive. Not worth the time or money. The BBQ was all fat and the noodles and other items are very greasy. Any of the other Asian supermarkets in 'Sauga have better tasting food and better value. Also, the groceries are all super expensive,
Fairly new to Edmonton. Fresh fish and meat. Several food preparation areas as well.
If your from the Philippines you will enjoy coming here its not just a market there are also Filipino fast food like the famous Jollibee!
Review from Edmonton family. When we 1st went there for breakfast, we enjoyed their meal. We went there again next day, we ordered their bbq meal, inasal meal, and binatog. We were not impressed with what we got, specially the binatog. The chicken was dry, bbq was tough, and binatog had an after taste. I know that they haven't been open for a long time, there is definitely room for improvement. I hope when we come back, they have improved on the aforementioned concerns.
I enjoyed my many visits here and I recommend this place for great Filipino food both groceries and hot food. They hand make the Halo-Halo and tastes great! Parking can be packed so best times to come here are in the evenings.
Awesome grocery store, there is street food and restaurants from the Philippines built in like Jollibee. The prices for produce here is way cheaper than Metro or Sobeys
The items here are too pricey! Its a robbery of my hard earned money for a taste of cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart diseases
Blatant disregard for the COVID-19 restrictions. There is a sign on the front door saying there is a 60 person maximum, however, it was packed. I counted 60 people when I standing in the front of the store where I could see maybe a quarter of the whole store. There was no line up outside to get in, they just let everyone in. The workers and customers also weren't practicing social distancing, especially in the hot food lines. Nor were a lot of people following the arrows on the ground. Extremely unsafe.
Helpful staff, helped me choose a milk fish and have it fried. Very tasty fish.
Nice place and food court to meet Filipinos.
Cool new Filipino supermarket in Heartland. Worth a visit if you are into Filipino cuisine or seafood.
Seafood city is where you find lots of delicious ready meal, dine in or take out. Restaurant and a grocery store in one.
Loved it here
Try the the deep fried chicken skins just add lemon juice
Great supermarket. There are many places to choose from to eat in the food court including a Jollibee. There is also a bakery connected to the supermarket. The street food section was good.
amazing food court great prices. very high quality
great selection. some prices on everyday items are high. I recommend going to your local supermarket. great selection of fish. aisles can be congested. go early or be very patient if you arrive in the afternoon.
Good selection of Filipino cuisine, condiments and snacks. Best Filipino focused grocery we have been to in Edmonton. I would certainly recommend. Just recently ordered some BBQ Chicken and BBQ Pork Skewers for take-out. The whole Family enjoyed them thoroughly.
looking for asian foods, particularly filipino, you will find them here.
Evrytime I'm here I'm disappointed but yet I come again ,groceries are awesome but grill city service is not great.
Great variety of Filipino and close Asian countries! Fair prices on most items as well!
Lots of variety. The fish selection is awesome. Lots of beer ????.
It's ok but nothing really special. The $ though youd think you got robbed when you are done buying????
Nice place to get your Asian stuff, safe place to send your remittance to the Philippines (PNB). Lots of food. Free parking.
You should teach your cashier to smile at their customer. I had a very unpleasant dealing with one of your cashier her name is brenis malong not ones but twice, she is very rude and thinks she owned them place. If she doesnt like what she does why work ad a customer service? If you are having a bad day or tired, dont take it on us “customer”.
What a great place to go and get a well priced, well cooked lunch.
Thea R. (below) was not impressed, unfortunately. Today, Saturday (Sept.30, 2017) I also went there and there were too many people and observed the same thing. BUT in my opinion that is NOT a reason to give it a very low rating. You don't give a low rating just because a new place is highly patronized. It's a brand-new (mega) store in Canada. Yes, the first one here and it will have growing pains in the Canadian market. It took Wal-mart years to get the habits of Canadian consumers. Also, there are tons of people because it's NEW and it's the first opening weekend - I say just let time pass and surely the crowd will diminish. But, from what I've seen today and what the store offers - it's clean, it's huge (except when there are tons of people, lol) and the variety of their products is something to be happy about. Although I did not get to buy anything from the fast food coz I refuse to fall in line, the food choices are amazing. I bet the management is also overwhelmed and surprised by the people passing through their door - and if they are smart they are already taking notes as to how they will make things better. For now, I applaud Seafood City for coming to Canada, investing in Ontario and giving Canadians jobs! I heard Seafood City has been operating for 20+ years all over the United States. Welcome to Canada!
Went grocery shopping today and needed milk for my son. Expiration aug 10 but milk is spoiled already. Was in a hurry so I didn’t paid much attention to the expiration date. Maybe just don’t buy milk products here.
Fresh seafood and great selection of Filipino groceries and cooked food. There is also a Jollibee and Bakery connected.
Grill city employees are rude and don’t have manners. They should be ashamed of their attitude including the manager. We used to come here but this time employees attitude were unacceptable. management should take action and educate their employees to handle customers and be respectful. Btw, the food were not that good so better have good costumer service.
Best place to get filipino food and so much variety of things
Someday restaurants in the super market are okay other days they are not so good. It is hit or miss. Recently Jollibee is opened. Need to try that one day once the craze dwindles down. I heard from philipino friends that tastes is not that same. Will try one day sure.
Amazing selections the food is always fresh and really good. It's definitely worth going to. Just watch out for the amount of traffic, there are a lot of people that come and go so expect line up's.
It's a incredible place for our Phipinno community members, I believe the mall made a huge mistake. For several reasons, the smell in the mall from Centre Court to the store is very strong, the other stores in between have to deal with it, I can't image during the summer months. Grocery store with a large mall, didn't work for Safeway in Polo Park, it won't work here. It's great for for the community, there are a mixed cultural present. Facilities are nice, but isles are very tight, beautiful displays, pricing a bit high on standard it's. Well staffed, very friendly, fantastic selection of products.
This supermarket is overpriced! Local supermarket is better pricing for Filipino grocery item.
Large variety of South East Asian groceries. Food court is always packed. Great cooked foods at an affordable price. Definitely a good place to shop for a quick meal to go.
All the cooked food are too expensive, there are many other Filipino restaurants that are more affordable.
Enjoyed going through products and food court items. A little perplexed with pork bungholes though. ????
Looks ok. Just not for me. No Canadian fish that I saw.
Love going to this place. Great for Filipino food and groceries. Large selection.
This place is awesome great selection and prices are reasonable
delicious cooked food! lots of shopping to be done. lots of fresh items. lots of specialty items. definitely a great place to shop or just eat.
Some very great tasting food.
Expect more...I'll try again though
not pet friendly! sign was too small to see that pets were not allowed. staff were not respectful when informing me that my dog was not allowed in the store. need their staff to be trained on how to be respectful and be polite
Pros: Entrance - Clean, Bathroom - very Clean - should maintain the cleanliness as it is very important especially with the on-going pandemic. Very well arranged products. Impressive! Cons: Customer Service - very slow, really, really slow. I was ahead of the line, but she catered the customer behind me first. Very poor system. 2 cooks, 4 on the counter, but I felt I was in the Philippines, where service is very slow. Food Presentation/cost: Expensive indeed!!! doesn't look appetizing even though I was starving, it tasted very ordinary especially being surrounded with friends/Filipino chef that are very good cook. That would be my first and last visit there. I still prepare to shop in TNT or Lucky Superstore! Inevitably, I do like the Seafood City in Las Vegas, the food there is quite delicious and a lot of variety to choose for.
They don’t take the skin off the shrimp
Be prepared for long queues to order food. Also not enough sitting area if planning to dine in...
I ordered 18pcs. chicken bbq on stick along with whole grilled bangus around 8pm . When we are paying, I noticed thay they punched in pork bbq. I asked the cashier If it was chicken, and she then told me that It's the same price as pork. My husband noticed it as well and so I ask twice if it was actually chicken and the cashier confirmed that it is chicken bbq. we forgot to take the receipt but I habve the picture of the pork bbq. My family doesn't eat pork and I'm just so disappointed that I chose to order here on my engagement dinner. :/
They had everything that we needed. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff was courteous and friendly.
Okoy was burn, the lumpia is burn, they are so dis organize almost double the price of Toronto filipino restaurant..The jolibee is not open yet...I believe the ratio of supervisor is 1:1 at crispy town but then again I'm talking about the crispy town.Took me for 1 hour but i only counted 15 peoples ahead of me. Who ever plan the opening severely under estimated the people.
Overall, it's a great place to eat filipino food.
If your a filipino you will definitely visit this place. Say goodbye to your pinoy cravings
Food is great, however it is bone chilling cold inside the market. Seating area is too small for the number of patrons, and we were bumping into each others back.
Updated Review Dec 2021 So far I have been coming here every week cause my school is around but yeah its four stars now because I have noticed prices are fairly and reasonably comparable and affordable. Except for filipino hotdogs lol! My first time here today. I love the grill, crispy and noodles part of the store. Health and beauty stuff is 2x expensive than a Chinese store. Chips and candies are reasonably cheap and usual. Produce prices are not bad. The aisles are crowded and narrow whether if it’s busy or not. The line ups are not bad, they keep opening one if it’s busy. I have a bad feeling when Jollibee opens, the section between the entrance is gonna be packed and annoying to get through. Overall I give it a 3/5. Just okay.
Omg!! Im so dissapointed the food there is so expensive everything is expensive! Never going back again!
We’ve been waiting a long time for Seafood City to open here in Edmonton. I’m a regular shopper in California. Their variety of Filipino products are amazing and the prices are really reasonable. I’ll tell my friends to come to the store!
Awesome place to shop...many different items. Would have given it 5 stars but they don't have power grocery carts for people with disabilities.
The produce here is great and staff is always pleased to help people.
When I shop or go shopping, there are different places I go. However, I recently discovered Seafood City Supermarket and this place allowed me to bring back memories of the place I grew up... buy the foods and alot of other items I love to eat, to use at home from kitchen stuff, toilet needs, groceries, all native stuffs...and so much other things that I need. I love it here!!!
Decent grocery store, tons of unique items that I’ve tried and liked that I can’t find anywhere else.
Staff is friendly and the store is clean. Food at the restaurants are good but pricy. Lots of Filipino products.
This Asian Supermarket (Philipino) has a slight twist compared the other Asian Supermarkets (Chinese) in Mississauga and is worth a trip to check them out.
Fried daing na bangus and ginataang langka WOW!!! It's soo good that i craved going back there again.. Went back and got bbq chicken and pork. It's good. Big disappointment on their halo halo @$6.99 theres not too much in it. Little sweetened beans are quite hard and 3 little sliced bananas sour. Although i will be back, i will not order that again. Not worth it.
It's a nice place to buy Filipino foods only thing was a little bit expensive.
Good food
Filipino groceries mostly. They have a lot of yummy food. Fresh fish as well.
Bad service. Rushing to get there to buy some food . Website says closing at 10 pm but they dont serve any food at 9:40 pm pls. explain why this is happening . We came from Barrie to get food drove hour and half .
Clean, chicken skin are so good
Great experience, would recommend.
So many things to buy. Clean and well organized. Will always come back.
The place is okay, if you miss home (Philippines) then go here for some of the things you can't find at the regular Asian market. But other than that it's over priced, their food is okay--go to something sweet across the other side if you want Filipino food or ask your mom to cook.
Best variety of Asian/Filipino food.
Bad service from a impatient lady lol Sorry that I call the store on the wrong time? Next time I will call again and I hope it's not the same cranky lady! Loll ppl please dont ruin that lady day or els she will scream at me again lol
Many Filipino food options, great selection plus a full blown grocery store. Not to mention a bakery on site. Come hungry!
Simple, tasty food items. Prices are inflated quite a bit for simple cuisine but decent selection. Expect a good waiting period when purchasing hot food, but grocery area is not too busy. Nice place to find what you are craving.
I learned what dinuguan tastes like. ???????????? love iiiiiit!
If your dad goes here a lot then you're Filipino Filipino
When it comes to fish and meats, this is the best place to buy..fresh and satisfactory cleaned.
Employees are all extremely helpful. lineups in the food court are long, be prepared to wait to order your food (the food in the food court is salty!) good selection of filipino foods, poor selection of fresh veggies (asian or otherwise), prices are comparable to loblaws or metro.. very few bargains to be found.the store is exceptionally clean. when I went on friday afternoon, it wasn't too crowded except in the food court. Long and short, if your looking for filipino ingredients, or want to try (or long for some food from the philippines) then definitely check this place out. However, if your looking for "deals" look somewhere else
Best place to find lots of Filipino food and snacks. Although the food court and Jollibee makes the space so cramped which gets really packed on the weekends.
Lots of fresh fish and meat
there are molds on "kankanin" products :( i would love to take a picture of that but I will consider this as a warning. keep eyes on your display
If you're ever craving filipino style pork BBQ def check out Seafood City. This place has lots of food choices including a Jollibee if you're craving fried chicken. They also have a grocery store to get your fruits, veggies, meats and snacks. This location is in Mississauga but there is also one in the East end if you're in Scarborough.
Great grocery store!
Edmonton’s first major Filipino grocery store chain. It was brightly lit and kept very clean. Everything was clearly marked and staff was readily available and very helpful.
We've been here a lot of times. Went for groceries, but mostly to buy food in Grilled City and Crispy Town. They are usually good. But tonight was simply the worst! We went to Crispy Town to buy calamari, chicken skin, bibingka, siopao, buko pandan and ginataang munggo. We've ordered these a lot of times. When we got home, we started eating them. We ate the ginataang munggo last. For some reason, the smell is different. And when I tried it, it taste spoiled. I immediately told my wife not to eat it and we have to return it. For us, it's not really a big issue. But the problem is when we returned it. At first, the lady who we talked to was apologetic and courteous. We planned just to have a refund. Which was $4.95. But she offered us 2 turons. I told my wife to just take it so we can go. While she was packing the turons, a lady intercept her and told her that it's too much. And told us that we need to add more money if we want to have the turons. It's like, "What the heck!? I ate their spoiled food, wasted my time to inform and return their, again, SPOILED food, for a simple turon, which take note, we don't even need, they cannot afford to loss a couple of dollars and I need to spend more money for them to have more profit in the expense of all the troubles!? First of all, some people will literally demand way more than the price of a spoiled food. I don't really need that. But to imply to us that looked like you don't have any fault to it because there are other customers beside us, that really felt insulting! I immediately told her that we don't need the turons and the other lady was the one who offered that and we'll just have the refund. After that, we had to wait for the, I don't know if manager or whoever, to get the $4.95. When the manager came, he did not even talked to us, he just went inside the counter and talked to the ladies and after almost 10 minutes, they've decided to give the refund. But since I used debit card, they cannot return it to my card and have to give me cash instead. (That's the first time I've heard of that! You cannot return money to a debit card??) ATTENTION Crispy Town! Maybe you should review your customer service!? The customer is the one who got and eaten a spoiled food! Had the good intention to inform you and just asked for a refund discretely. But for a $3.00 loss because of your lack of monitoring of your food, you'll require the customer to pay for the extra which in the first place one of your people was the one who offered it? Common! That's disappointing! I don't really mind paying the $3.00. But the way you required it and the way your management people handled it, that made me mad right there and there! VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! TSK TSK TSK TSK...
So Rude staff.
Unless you are Filipino and just want a reminder of home, stay away from this place. The prices are high compared to every other Asian market. It’s almost like they bought their inventory from T & T and just added 30%. The line up to get into the Jollibee is ridiculous. Again only if you want a taste of Philippines. Their famous fried Chicken Joy is like KFC without any taste. So they sell you gravy ????....oh did I mention There’s actually no seafood in “Seafood”City
Vegetables not fresh
nice
Great place, friendly staff and lot of verity
Really small variety of shrimps etc
My family and I were there last night and ordered food from Crispy Town. The rice was extremely mushy - almost like the consistency of cheese cake. The food is also over priced for the portion that they give you.
Nice only coz I am a Filipino. Ur introductory prices are not much better than those at TNT/WEM inspite of directly sourcing Phil products from country source. Your golden pampano look so pale parang hindi blast frozen fresh.
Authentic Filipino food! There are so much choices on food and also for grocery, you can find everything that you need here
It's located in Mississauga, 20mins drive from the airport. There's Filipino fast food inside
Great way to find and buy some cheap filipino snacks Street food (served during weekends) is always great I dont recommend buying their "fresh" made drinks. They are overpriced (they range from $5-$7 in a small sized cup) Always ask for the price before paying as they are not always posted - and may not be even worth it Other than that, the employees are respectful and work fast
????
Great selection of produce and always fresh. Prices may be a little bit higher than other stores. Meat section- i love how they cut the meat, they have skin on pork chops! Omg i looove it! Again, prices may be 50C -75c higher than other stores. Seafood- great selection! Very fresh , reasonable priced. Bread section- very expensive!:-( ridiculous. Better off buying at Valerios. Place is always clean and no doubt that the staff is always very welcoming.
Best food and good prices too!
Prices of groceries and baked products are costly compared to other grocery stores in Edmonton and staff need to be more friendly to customers! Not to mention, your shoppers are mostly Filipino root so please be more generous. Take note, we live in Canada and not in the Philippines. The success of every business is through the patriotism of consumers. We pay more, you give us back more!!!
Great service
Food court is full of kababayans and makes you feel at home, hearing native tongue. The grocery and food court are filled with items from back home. Valerios bakery also have the best cheese breads, and how can anybody forget the newly opened Jollibee! It doesnt only transport you to the Philippines but also gives back some of your childhood memories. :)
Was waiting for more than 1/2 hrs to get food. Should have better planning for Father's Day. You have three staff working. The one doing the he cashier is also serving food as well as making drinks. How can he do a good job managing all of them. No wonder the line is slow n long. Should be more efficient in getting the line moving quickly.
I like it ????
Lots of variety for Filipino groceries especially fresh seafood but a bit expensive especially if you decide to eat at grill city. I know places where they serve as good if not better Filipino food but not as expensive. This place is good to visit but only once in a while. This are just my observation.
Nice store with a huge selection of Asian groceries. However, almost all of their produce is wrapped in single use plastic. Not very environmentally friendly.
Great Asian grocery store. Specifically for the Philippines stuff. Great foods and bakery plus connect to jolly bee fried chicken.
Very interesting selections. Some things available here not found in Asian stores. Counter help friendly and quick. If you want to try something but not sure what it is, just ask.
Great. Lots of variety and their hot food section had some pretty good skewers. Nicely grilled and flavourful. For your basic everyday grocery shopping, you have what you need there.
I asked the lady at the food counter if I can get vinegar sauce. She said my meal dont come with sauce. So, I pointed at the picture that it came with sauce. Im filipino and I eat my fried pork with sauce. Poor customer service.
It's basically a phillipino market. Neat and clean. A large variety of sea food, fresh, frozen and freshly cooked. Good place to eat. Fresh fruits and vegetables are nice. A separate portion for bakery.
I really liked coming here for the delicious food from both Crispy Town and Grill City. But I’m knocking down two stars because: A. Expensive all around and B. Nobody is social distancing there even the staff! I first went on a weekend and understandably, it was busy. So then I tried to go on a weekday and even with less people, most customers were still walking around with their masks below their chins and no social distancing! The servers kept pulling their masks down too WHILE serving the food and talking to customers! If only other patrons and servers will actually take the pandemic seriously and more carefully, I will be coming back more often.
They have a lot of Filipino and Asian food items. But it was all cramped in a small area that we ended up going back to other ethnic stores where it's more spacious to shop. We wanted to try the food court but the lines were long. Maybe we'll try again next time.
Bought ginatang bilobilo, was very disappointed as if the mixture was water with lots of sugar plus ube colouring adding the bilobilo ingredients no f.c.c oconut milk taste at all.
Newly opened and pretty crowded. Good for quick bite and grocery shopping.
They are getting expensive. Coupons has been stop. Most of the products are overprice. Not recommended to buy.
If you looking for variety and good Asain food (Flipino) this is the place.
It feels like home! We tried bagnet, palabok, grilled pusit, porkbbq, smelts, calamari and chicharon bulaklak! Will come back again! Very tasty and yum-O. You can find all snacks from V-cut to clover chips and pork rinds and the price is a lot cheaper than in other asian stores. Try taho and buco pandan. Also the coffee jelly. Fresh vegetables are cheap and very clean. Frying the fish still free of charge and they’re crunchy too. Worth my money.
Lots of variety. ???? the Salted Eggs!
Great products with a Phillipino flavour.
Bringing Filipino goodness in the heart of Winnipeg.
Filipino grocery store that has everything under the sun. However, I found it to be pricier compared to other grocery stores.
Me and my son went to seafood city today to check it out. We were gonna try something from crispy town. The girl at the counter asked if she could help us and I told her I’m still deciding. She started laughing and turned around and went and told her co worker something and then she turned around and started laughing to as they were starring at us. And not speaking English. So rude. So uncalled for. We walked out. Never going there again.
Great place. Great food. Just the price
It's more expensive than other grocery stores. Except it has a few select Asian items not found in other stores.
I feel like people only come here for the restaurants. Their grocery items are just too expensive compared to the local Asian supermarkets.
Had a less than stellar experience this past weekend. First customer in and took over 1 hour to leave. 45 minutes was spent waiting for the cleaning of one fish. That’s right - 1 fish. Indicated my displeasure to the cashier. Asked to speak to the manager-on-duty and the person never showed to speak to me. Several other customers were frustrated in the seafood/fish area and had to also wait between 45-60 minutes. Why is only 1 person there to clean fish? While they clean the fish for free you need to be prepared for a long wait. Not exactly customer service focused in this department. Area for improvement only if management chooses to do so. What a shame. Overall supermarket is good though. Great selection of food products.
The best ever grocery stop, i felt im always at home ????
Very clean and organized supermarket with a lot of selection! This place has a variety of Asian groceries that you may not find at nearby supermarkets ranging from vegetables and snacks to fresh fish and meat (albeit on the more expensive side). Lots of free parking as well. They also have a food court serving Filipino food. I went for the BBQ pork skewers at Grill City (4 for $16) and BBQ chicken skewer value meal ($15 for 1 BBQ chicken skewer, white rice, and one small entree dish, which I picked Sisig). The BBQ chicken skewer was better than the pork skewer, but both were very good.
I have edited review. It is crowded not not that bad anymore. Very yummy food, great to eat... if you find a table. Fish assortment is great.
What a selection of product. Fresh fish etc! Stuff I've never seen before.
This store was unique and interesting place. When you first go in, there are take out food restaurants that cooks Philippines foods. There were fishes, chicken and kabobs with noodles. Additionally, there are all type of groceries and lots fishes. It was well worth to visit this place. Only thing I thought the store should do better control was the area where they sell fish and meat, there were too many peoples in that area that made me worry about COVID situations. There was NO WAY to have 2 meters apart and actually you have to hit someone to go around. I felt really uncomfortable and wonder about the health regulations regarding on COVID 19.
Sea food section and combo dinner.
having lunch in this wonderful one stop shopping and dine in one
Excellent staff.
Clean grocery supermarket catering mostly to Filipinos and Asians foods. It has cooked food markets for the tastebud.
Affordable price and amazing services.
Great place. Very busy. A grocery store with unique Asian items. The fast food areas "Grilled" or "Crispy" has an large selection and was very tasty. Nice first time experience.
Not much good deals..
Yes there will be line ups and crowd. same as walmart and costco especially on a weekend (and its really new). Its normal. Hope they restock on other items soon!
Terrible place to eat. Some Filipina who works at cryspy town and grill city are very Bi....chy!
Its neat and "VERY BUSY".. Google busy Live is lying and broken. Says other stores are busy but Seafood City is less busy like usual....Nope wrong.. Beautiful store and good deals. Idk what to trust Google Busy Live I guess...
THE WORST PLACE TO BUY SEAFOOD.. ironically SEAFOOD inside SEAFOOD CITY is stale. The fish is NOT fresh and you will have to go through each of them to seek out the ones that are .. the gills are rotting and i suspect they’re adding ammonia to preserve it. I know my fish well and i can spot a rot when i see one. Look at the pics.. it’s rotting.yuck
They don't turn on the heat so you are like shopping freezing and when you buy your hot meal you will just enjoy the first bite. After that your food gets cold. What is wrong with you people?
Fantastic place, first rate staff and products. But, ironically I don't like busy stores so I may have to try some others.
Just went there to check it out.
Good food
Wide variety of seldom found Asian delicacies.
Filipino asian food this is the place cost a little more but youll luv it!
Very cool place. Great Filipino food representation. Inside are some peaty sweet restaurants. Loved the availability of dishes. Come and spend a few hrs and enjoy the flavors of Philippines ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????☕ ☀️????????????????????????????????
Good stock of Filipino items that I can't get elsewhere. Obviously the food court is awesome. I wish they had the street food every day instead of just weekends.
I would rate it 5* but it is extremely cold while eating at the fast food area. Fresh meat and fish, lots of choices. I am able to eat the Filipino food I' ve been craving for so long due to a wide variety of Filipino dishes and grocery selections available.
It's a nice place with lots of asian groceries. Expect they don't have wide variety of seafood. The store is clean though which is a plus to me.
Lots of imported foods. Fish looks really good.
Great selection of ethnic food. Plenty of parking
Super clean supermarket, employees were helpful and friendly. Everything seemed fresh. Liked the in-store bakery, and ready made foods. We tried Grill City, it was the smell that drew us in.
Very slow service, so many employees behind the counter but only couple of them are giving service. They were better when it first opened and place was crowded. Will never go back here, not worth it.
The food
Very Filipino. Food court is very good. Grocery is very good. The seafood area is fresh. It also very busy when weekends
Over priced my gosh!!!! The siopao I bought was old. Should have not been sold after a certain time period!!!! Also bought ginatan halo-halo on two different occasions and had tummy ache and diarrhea!!!!
Great selection of Filipino dishes and groceries that are fresh and delicious! Warm memories of South pacific!
Everything started great when seafood city just opened; It slowly went downhill after that. They now have rude employees and are very slow in service. Now a days, having only 2-3 people in line; have to wait about 20 minutes each to be served in grill city or in crispy town. With my experience lately, I kindly asked an employee in crispy town for a sauce, she got annoyed and insisted that its difficult for her to pour it in the container. If observed in general, the employees have attitudes and sour faces. I'm pretty sure other costumers can relate to this regarding your service. This place needs to be re-assessed for service quality. No costumers would want to come back being treated this way. As a Filipino, I wrote this review not to talk bad, but to show concern for your business. Still hoping for improvement, Good luck.
extremely poor service!!!! we order 14 days advance and expect our food to be ready on the 24. we waited for our order for almost 3 hours. were told by one of the staff to comeback on the 25 for our order. they ended up giving us the wrong order and burned food, disgusting....
Severely overpriced mediocre quality food from the prepared food section. 10 Chicken skewers + 2 Mami soups (beef & chicken) + 1 fried chicken order (3 legs) + 1 small mongo + 4 ube shakes (purple yam) + 1 rice + 2 banana q's = $120.00. The burn after realizing the quality was not worth $120? Priceless. The fried chicken was very hard even after being re-heated in a microwave, and the grease used is very low quality, you really need to scrub your hands well to get it off while using anti grease dish soap. Imagine that getting inside your system. Save your money to eat at Casa Manila or even Max's chicken for more reasonably priced better quality Filipino food.
Very very good selection of Filipino grocery items, seafood and meat.
Really wide range of Filipino products here. Reasonable prices. Hope there will be more sitting sa dining!
All the food I saw here (mostly all the cuts of pork) I would eat. if you want to try something different go here. I don't know how good everyone's English will be, but I'm sure if you see something you like, you can point at it and they will give it to you if you pay them. I had pork hock and rice. It was very clean and tidy on a busy day, so can't go wrong.
Very Cramped and they’re clearly not done with the set up. Ordering food at the hot counter is a nightmare, so many staff just talking amongst themselves. Some items are priced extremely high. There was a dead fly stuck in the wrapped corn. Buyer beware, they separated the lotto ticket then stapled it back together and sold them. The two tickets didn’t even match!
Place are good. Clean floors, very organize products, clean washroom.
The GOOD: items in the grocery are clean & fresh but some items are a bit pricey some are not. There are huge amount of Pinoy Goodies. The NOT so GOOD: Cooked foods are over priced and portions are way too small. Worth noting that they put coconut milk in their Buko Pie and Rice in they're packed cooked meals. Coconut milk are high in calories and saturated fat. Hope they avoid using this because it really doesn't taste good and its not healthy. The food court are clean but the way too over priced. Eat here if you want to spend more but beware of the small portions.
Very expensive compare to lucky
This Filipino supermarket chain is pretty large and has groceries and other household goods. You can find all sorts of unique items. Unlike other grocery stores, they even sell large moving boxes in their aisle for $6.99. There's 3 fast food chains located inside the grocery store (Crispy town, Noodle Street and Grill City). Very clean store but in my experience, the staff aren't very helpful when you ask for directions in the store and when ordering items at their fast food joints.
As much as I love my Filipino foods this place just kills the excitement. First of all it is so expensive, second the quality of the dishes are not good. I must say having gone here and taste the food once will be my last unless things change.
I buy a lot of food in your restaurants all the time. The last time I went there, I was patiently waiting for my turn to order food at the crispy town. When it’s my turn to order, the lady( she’s a little taller than the other ladies, slimmer and likes to frown) just ditched me ignored me and served the guy next to me instead. I don’t think she’s blind because I saw her looked at me and didn’t even say a thing. I left super disappointed!!!! I wish they have better people that knows how to smile as well and better service. I don’t even know if their customer service cares about people’s experiences like other stores do? I work in a customer service, and if something like this happens in our stores, the employee is called to the office right away. This is like discrimination!!! Who knows how many time she did this to customers. BAD EXPERIENCE for sure!!!
can you make sure that all your cashiers have smart serve or not sell alcohol at all. i jumped atleast 4 counters just to buy Budweiser(yes, a filipino store without San Miguel Beer so SAD). or make a counter that says can buy alcohol here.
Definitely has a terrific Filipino Vibe, and is a very unique grocery experience. Fresh food section is well stocked and fresh as you would expect in a busy store like this. Hear a lot of squaking about prices but they keep coming back. I just updated my review, I initially only gave 3 stars because of the prices. Now I take into account the excellent service. Particularly, at the meat and seafood department.
Hello again just an other day on the beach living life they have a great selection of dishes you can have my second time arround just learning them but delicious. Regards to all you young people.
Great selection of asian groceries. They have different promos everyday and in-house brand. Though price is a bit higher compared to other asian stores
Customer service never answered their phone. Consistency of answering phone is so important thank you.
I've visited twice so far and there is a lot to see. Some foods/produces are familiar and some are not. The restaurant section looks to be constantly busy. There's a large variety of fish. Looking forward to exploring and sampling the products.
Love this place! I can find the food that I missed from back home.
Well never again will I buy the food at takeout food court someone needs too monitored the food cause whom ever doing the cooking do be "fire" I'm not philipino even I can better I've learn how too cook but with flavor that my first time and my last unless they fine a better cooker P.s. and the "server's" need too have better management in customer service training that also major lack of respect
Great, delicious, crispy food with excellent service.
Decent collection of Asian food but from a grocery standpoint you could get most items from any Asian store like T&T. Some unique Filipino items but that's about it. Having a Jollibee next door seems to be the biggest draw. The food court has unreal lines with wait times of a minimum 15 mins. No sense of urgency and very casual attitude leading to an underwhelming experience overall. Food I felt was priced on the higher side too, expect to pay 15$ in the food court for a combo.
Clean supermarket with a good selection. Asians- Filipinos in particular will like it. Good selection of fish. Was happy with the food court as well.
Always clean,, items are easy to find, staff is helpful...foodcourt is awesome..
Lots of lots people doing grocery. Plus the fact there is food to eat and of course " Jollibee" inside the place.
Have Nice Fresh Seafood Everything your Looking For and Great Food court of Seafood yum yum ????
Some items are expensive but it's a given since it's largely imported goods. The seafood is great- pick your fish and let staff clean and fry it! I recommend to get the grilled pampano. Also can't go wrong with the food options in the food court. :)
As soon as you enter, the smell of BBQ skewers tickles your senses. There's a wide variety of freshly cooked food ranging from skewers of chicken and pork, to mini hot pots with wontons, delicious siopao and crispy lechon. The aisles are filled with Filipino delights ranging from Ube cheesecake and Ensaymada, to fish chips and a Goldilocks section that will tempt even the sweetest tooth. Combined with a good fresh and frozen meat section and a bakery on site. Also, can't forget about having their very own Jollibee attached out front. Always a great time and experience when you go.
I love the grilled city .because now you cannot cook outside ,at grilled city u can eat bbq and fish anytime u want .????
There’s now less variety compared to when they first opened. Prices have gone up too.
Great food court choices
Clean supermarket. Kinda pricey compare to other asian supermarket.
A lot of option for seafoods
Awesome fresh seafood that they clean and cook for you. Awesome staff there to help you navigate your way, just ask and they help you with a smile.
I love your grilled food, especially tilapia and pompano.
Proper covid measures in place, I really appreciate that. Also have a really good section for hot food
The Manager is really friendly and helpful
Great food from City Grill and awesome pork adobo
The prices can get a little disencouraging sometimes but they usually lower them.
Nice, clean and organized ...the vegetables and fruits are fresh, the Seafoods and meats are also good. It's only pricy.
If there was a "0" rating in Google Review, I would give this grocery store that rating. Poor service exhibited by some staff a the fish counter and also by the assistant manager. I also attempted to contact the head office in California, and just got voicemail. Poorly run company and will think twice with continuing to shop there due to the lack of customer service at the store and head office.
(Translated) A lot of noise and confusion, I've never been able to taste food in the restaurant, it's kind of confusing (Original) Muito barulho e confusão, nunca consegui provar comida no restaurante é meio confuso
Went to go buy mango ice cream and was pleasantly surprised when I went home and opened the container. Instead of mango ice cream I found a Filipino delicacy Dinuguan. I also bought a container of butter cookies to have for dessert, and lo and behold as I opened the package found delicious needle and thred complete with tomato pin cushion. I would easily give this place 5 cao caos out of 5.
Super love it!!! ????
Asian market, nice fresh baked goods. The product prices are same as Walmart
Very good sea food and exceptional fish cleaning services
Variety of seafood. You will find a lot of different types of fishes which are not available anywhere else
Not what I was looking for. Good service and lots of Verity , my daughter will luv this place.
I go there for grill city and crispy town. The store generally is clean and gives you the vibe of big chain filipino supermarkets in the philippines. However, the grocery prices are overpriced in my opinion. ????
Must be particular with product storage to avoid selling poor quality items.
This the cleanest and friendliest Asian store in Edmonton! The BBQ is worth the trip alone, but don't forget the try the bagnet in crispy town! Or their foot long turon! Or their super halo-halo! If I could give 6 stars, I would!
(Translated) The best fried fish we have eaten in Winnipeg. You buy it at the fishmonger and they cook it for you right there. The prices in general are high, but everything depends on your possibilities. (Original) El mejor pescado frito que hemos comido en Winnipeg. Lo compras en la pescadero a y te lo cocinan ahí mismo. Los pre iis en general son altos, pero todo depe de de tus posibilidades.
A little crowded, but Social Distancing maintained...alcohol dispense is in place
Its clean , new & a large assortment of produce , Fresh fish , some seafood , and restaurants with Hot food take out ! Lots of choices to pic from . Enjoy yourself here .
Great Filipino store. It has fast food restaurants and you can ask to have the fish that you bought cleaned and prepared for you.
Grill city best bbq pinoy in the country
Loved this store! Had a take-out lunch. Very good. Went & did some shopping found some very good deals in produce. This store is similar to HK,T&T, and Lucky97. Loved it.
Great Philippine food! Also Jollibee!
Food is good but I have never seen a place with staff full of attitude as much as here
It's a one stop supermarket packed with almost all food/food items that l m craving for be they very fresh or dry goods or cooked food. If one gets really hungry it's there already hot and ready. The staff are gracious and super helpful. Clean except the washroom. For a big and busy establishment like this, the customers deserve a very clean environment for their privacy. Suggestion: renovate the washroom.
Nice and quiet on a Friday early afternoon. Great selection of different foods that you might not find at other Asian supermarkets. Loved it will definitely come back to explore more
Best store in Winnipeg
Decent place to get your grocery fix but the biggest issues with me and my family is the extreme long wait lines especially at the food court, as well as the high prices.
Food at restaurants are expensive and not very good
Great asian supermarket with a range of great products and fresh produce. Love the food court with a great selection of Filipino food, and even better with a Jolibee restaurant in the complex!
The cooked food taste great
Nice store workers....very welcoming!!!
A bit pricey!! I ordered a mixed tray from grilled seafood for $39. Expecting be able to try a little of everything then they gave me 2 fishes and all bbq pork. Fishes were tasteless and pork was salty and dry. I couldn’t even finish half of that. However, halo halo was good for a hot day.
Bought a Salmon head and ask for it to be cut an cleaned. It was not done properly. Seems like a lazy job. I was warned about this by relatives but now I had to experience it first hand. Oceans is a better as they clean and cut fish really well. 'Will not buy fish at this place. Such an irony as the place is called Seafood city.
Nice place to shop Philippines groceries and had a food court serve basically Philippines foods.
Wow! I was at the store today and ordered everything I’ve been missing a long time. The best experience ever. Me and my friends will keep coming back. Thank you Seafood City:)
Fun place to shop. So many Filipino delicacies.
Been here twice now. Both times just for a fast meal. Haven't visited the grocery section yet. Just the food hall. There is alot of options. Almost too many options that it may become overwhelming. I got up to the county at Grill City and got a combo which includes rice and 1 option. I asked for Sisig and got one that I have never seen before. It looked like cream of mushroom with meat. Very weird. Then I walked over to Crispy town and noticed they had the right Sisig I was looking for there. Oh well. Maybe next time. I also ordered the Pancit for my daughter. She loves Pancit and wouldn't eat it. way too salty. Overall it was ok. I rated the Weird Sisig 2 ???? and the Pancit a waste of $4.99. 2nd time around I went to noodle street and got the Beef Wonton Mami, Special Arroz Caldo, and some Special pork Lumpia. Beef Mami was ok. Nothing really special. Kind of bland. Arroz Caldo was very flavorful. The Lumpia was very dry and greasy. Tasted like it sat in the deep fryer for too long. Not really impressed by the food at this place. I would have to say that I have moved on and will not be purchasing food from here anymore. Unfortunately it wasn't worth it.
Staff needs to be trained. Poor customer service esp.those who were at the snack area. They are not happy with their work. Unpleasant to their customers. They don't know how to value and treat people.
Well organized
Have been there 3x both for eating and shopping food was always disappointing in amount and taste garden city eatery have better tasting food and the store was not worth walking around in and most items found to be overpriced
Love all the foods at this store, thanks to the chef. I bought pancit malabon last Saturday but unfortunately it was so salty. If you could consider the health condition (like high blood pressure) of the customers that would be great
Great food great atmosphere despite covid regulations in place
It's a good Filipino and Asian market. You can also eat, the foods are freshly cooked but most are not seasoned well and I would say, quite expensive to the taste.
Gets crowded, but prices are decent and product selection are huge.
Read about this place in Toronto Life... I work a couple blocks away and decided to give it a shot.... I am impressed. Large store with wide selection of goods at decent prices. There is a Jollibee located inside the supermarket; stay tuned for a review on that shortly.
So many good things here and the prices are very good one of my favorite places to shop
I love the selection of fish and seafood there. The store is really clean with a very friendly atmosphere.
Not a good assorted seafood
Some of the products are too pricey compared to the ones that you can buy from a local store. They do sell somethings that you can only buy from them.
Bought a dessert from the "fresh food" line, it tasted old and like it was about to expire. The price of the groceries are rather high as well. The last time I was there I looked at the "live crab" bin and only one crab was alive and moving. The rest of them were dead. Update: I went back there today and bought some warm food. The young girl helping me boxed up some food that I picked out and put it on the tray and then walked to the other end of the line and started to help the other customers behind me but I still wanted to buy more food. Didn't even confirm if that was all I wanted to buy , she just walked away. After I paid, I wanted to buy a bag of fish that was being displayed for $2.99 in some ice. When I went to the cashier to go pay, she told me to go back and weigh the bag because there was no price on the bag of fish. The cashier in question, Maria Filipina A (according to the receipt), was rather rude about it as she was also talking to another female co-worker next to her. When I went back to the seafood area, no one was there to help me so I just put the fish back. Why should the customers be the ones to weigh the bagged fish and have it priced? Why can't the employees price them before putting them out on display like a regular grocery store?? I went back to Maria to pay for the rest of my items and told her no one was available to help me. She didn't care, she just rung up my total unconcerned and continued to talk to her co-worker. After I paid, she didn't even smile or said good bye or anything. Just mindlessly gave me my change, my receipt, turned around and continued to talk to her co-worker. This place has terrible customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Bought boneless pork leg part but when cooking it it has a bad smell..the skin is really bad..
I tried the beef noodle soup bowl. It came with carrots bok choy, tofu, beef noodles. It was something different and I really enjoyed it. I love trying new things.
Great selection. No complains on the grocery section. Except the seafood section where it gets cleaned and fried. I understand the line up and waiting but when a person that the employee knows they get fast tracked. Seen this atleast twice now.
Rude customers won't move when you say excuse me rude!!!!!!!!!
Great place for the fish and excellent choices for the grilled items.
Oriental goods, ready made hot food, native pastry and bakery
Our experience was pretty good. Got all that we came for and the cashier provided very good customer service.
Very clean. Always nice and friendly workers. Ready food to go is always delicious.
I'm a big fan of Filipino cuisine, and my coworker got me excited for this place. Was quite disappointed however when I went to try their BBQ meats and seafood. The flavor is okay, some things are drenched in sauce and have really nice flavor, but other things are very dry and virtually have no taste. If you are looking for the authentic experience, this is definitely NOT the place to go. If you are just a beginner in Filipino cuisine, this place is worth a try. Overall, nothing special and very very expensive for the price! You are better off with Jollibees or Manila Grill. Won't be back for a while.
Omg....supermarket is never bussy, but there is a food court and it is busy......30 min...wait..
Awesome selection, great tasting food! The free coffee taste, my wife is wondering, how is this free? =) Good job. Keep it up.
Great place to buy seafood and they have small food court eat and Relax.
You can get most of asian foods but the prices are little high.
If you like filipino food. This is the place.
Good place for Filipino / south Asian grocery and food. Meat and fish is not frozen. Food stalls in the store and Jollibee is in the same location.
great little eating area...like being in the Philippines
This grocery store caters to the Filipinos in the GTA area, if you are not used the smell of Filipino food, this place might be a bit overbearing for you. The groceries, seafood and meat tend to be more expensive than it's Chinese groceries counterparts. Prepare to have to wait in long line as this place does get busy and crowded especially during the weekends.
Seafood city made me feel like I am at home. The staff were hospitable and efficient.
I love this place especially for getting fish, just convenient. I pick my own fish from the variety laid out, get it cleaned and to top it up, I get it friend also. I recommend this place for any seafood lover looking for convinience
Lot of Asian food choices but sometimes the prices are higher as compared to the other Chinese groceries in the city.
Neat store. Lots of differnet frozen fish at a good price.
I give this place 5+ Before judging the place let it give its best shot! It just opened so eventually it will be super crowded. Canada is not cheap, compare to California. Taxes are higher than USA. So Seafood Canada has to follow financial protocol to remain open. Yes it is crowded but obviously the place is newly open... It is overpriced? I dont think so... Found deals of chicken for $2.50 for 5 lbs. I would never find that elsewhere... They have prices that are higher than average but thats because it was imported! Go to chinese & look for filipino food it is overrated! Bought a candies from Philippines before & it was $5.99 for 1 box 12 pcs! Found it at Seafood city same box & same candy for $4.29...Chinese food are cheaper at Chinese supermarket, but NOT filipino foods. I can guarantee you two hands up with that. Id rather support my fellow filipino than support other asian supermarket, it took time for filipino to have a decent humongous supermarket & now they have it I am not sure y other filipino putting it down! Give it a shot guys! You wont regret.
They sell farm raised fishes. I bought Artic salmon and then I did some research it does say farm raised fishes has darker white lines in between, which is really bad for health to eat farm raised fish. Any other suggestions to get wild salmon?
The food was delicious and I love the convenience of doing grocery shopping in the same place
Grilled tilapia. So yummy ????????????
I love almost everything about this Store except their Pamana brand products, I will not recommend this brand, these are terrible stuffs.
Very clean. Pretty quick service. Lots of options!! I will definitely go back. I didn't know there was such a great gem hidden so close to home!! Yay Asian stuff!
Cashier accidentally double charged my credit card. When I went to the general manager to get a refund or even just store credit, I was denied and stated that my claim was invalid. I even showed them my bank account details as proof (which I should not have had to do AT ALL) and showed double transaction at the exact same time, the exact same price, and all they said was that they could not do anything about it. Matter of fact, THERE WAS SOMETHING YOU COULD DO ABOUT IT. Issue could have simply been resolved with a refund or store credit. General manager has no common sense of how to run a business in fear of owning up to a mistake. Ridiculous. Will not shop here ever again.
Perfect place to buy grocery and already made food items if you are craving for Filipino cuisine
Good and cheap cooked Filipino food and you can find diff. seafood you won't usually find in other supermarkets
Was just at the grand opening, omg guys the prices are ridiculously expensive... crazy how Chinese grocery stores are able to offer lower prices on ALL the Filipino foods they carry compared to an actual Filipino store... all the snacks and produce are overpriced... this store is soooo out of touch with reality and just looking for a cash grab... save your $$ and go elsewhere unless you're stopping by for the novelty of it
I go there for sea food only. The fish is fresh. There is long wait time for cleaning or frying on the weekends , the service is fast and good.
I love this place especially for getting fish, just convenient. I pick my own fish from the variety laid out, get it cleaned and to top it up, I get it friend also. I recommend this place for any seafood lover looking for convinience
Great selection of filipino food! Prices are decent and cashiers are friendly and fast.
First try its signature chicken and pineapple drink. Taste good and price is reasonable. Like it.
Having not travelled far except where necessary, it was nice to grab some things from Seafood City which are not available in our local grocery store. The various ube products purchased there were quite delicious.
Very disappointed to see that there are no lots of "sea" food selections (The name of the venue does not reflect what's inside). Although, there are Lots of asian junk food, tropical fruits, pinoy street food, pinoy desserts, Asian can goods selections. The place is clean and lots of parking too.
Great selection of Filipino groceries.
Everything you could want as a white guy in a Filipino family. ????. And of course Jollibee is right there!!
Food great. Grilled foods, noodle towns food presentation is awesome. Try it. Its value your money
Has many traditional food and snacks that are not common in most stores. A little bit pricey for certain meals and Filipino street food. But definitely convenient to have it all in one location.
International supermarket with lots of food varieties - great food court with authentic Filipino food. They have a street food bar if you wanna get some snacks on the go or if you like night market type of food. Taken one point as the fish aren't super fresh once they are cut opened, it is a lose-lose for the business and customers. S Tip: if you are a taro fan, must try their UBE icecream from the freezer, very rich in flavors
Overly priced compared to other ethnic stores and food is decent. The food is also expensive, better Filipino food elsewhere.
Very expensive
Nice store for southeast Asian selections. They have grilltown food court in the store which has so many nice foods, definitely always craving to come back
One of the best places to buy fresh groceries and some items are sourced uniquely for Sea food City
Lots of variety of Phillipine food. Fresh fruit abd vehetabkes reasonably priced.cooked food bar plus restaurant area. Very popular so the food is good.
Staff disorganized. I came here for the first time after dropping my mom off at work this morning. There were 4 people at the door one gave me hand sanitizer the others greeted me. I was walking around for 5 mins then approached by another employee who told me I had to wear a masks and I didn't have on me at the time and so i asked if they provided it or sell any individual ones and she said no and told me to bring my own and kicked me out... I just feel like you guys should provide masks for free or sell them if you are going to make them mandatory and also tell me at the door instead of embarrassingly kicking me out of the store.
Quality of food is decreasing, portions are becoming smaller as well as the price is increasing for smaller portions? I dunno what's happening but I'll be going less and less from now on, feels much cheaper than when they first opened... saddened by this
It was amazingly Neat but Counter service was too slow even theres a lot of Costumers in line waiitng to be check out and still other counters are remained close. Needs more improvements!
Liked the turon and barbeque. The grilled squid and pork chop covered by too much flour tasted raw. They need to be cooked more.
very popular with a large assortment of prepared Asian foods. long line-ups always. like a huge restaurant at the entrance at the grocery store
If you love Filipino food, this is the place to shop. And grab some BBQ while you're there.
They have everything I need from fresh produce to cooked and processed food...
Food court has very good selection, food is very delicious.
Nice,visit once there
????
Staff serving the hot foods were professionals. Variety of Asian foods especially Filipino food. Be aware though, my bf was watched by the whole floor staff as we were shopping. They made him feel uncomfortable probably because he was the only black person there.
Love the store good food, fresh veg.and lots of new products from Philippines...
Good quality product's and great hot food. Only complaint is prices are pretty high.
It's fun to go here & eat Filipino food & buy some stuff.
Where is the fresh seafood? T & T has much more.
Loved the variety this place has to offer. Plenty of fresh food choices and seating to enjoy along with a grocery store, bakery and Jollibee in the same plaza.
The fresh fish are good, I picked three varieties of fish. But one of them was not fresh. For this reason I am taking out 1 star. The cleanliness of the area and store is up to the mark. The area where they sell fish and meat are pretty good compared to some other fish store. Overall 4 star is a worth, however it is a new store and if they maintain this standard it would be perfect.
This review is not for the whole seafood city but rather on grill time bbq. queue is long which i understand and i got my order for like 3 mins. but standing in line for 20 mins to pay is a effin disaapointment. by the time i finished paying up, the food is not warm to eat. additional issue is the cashier and you have long nails like common, you are handling someones food at least wear a glove or better cut it off. what a day!
For a big store it run out of the things I needed
Filipino Supermarket and more food district choices of grill, noodles, great authentic Filipino dishes..., Good place, good prices, loyalty rewards, plus services of dental, remittance, cargo boxes shipments.
Many many yummy food especially their Bagnet and their bibinka.
GOOD SERVICES...HELPFUL...FOOD ARE YUMMY...CLEAN AND FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES..
I'm so happy Seafood City is finally here! The prices are competitive and the food (BBQ, chicken skin, halo-halo) is absolutely delicious. There's so much hard-to-find product that you can't get anywhere else in Edmonton. They also clean and fry your fish for FREE in a super clean wet-market feel. One of my favorite parts about this place is that there is NO SMELL! I can finally shop in an Asian market without smelling like seafood at the end of my shopping. Another part is that all the employees are so kind and greeted me and my family from entrance to exit. It felt just like home.
We went to seafood city today ,I cannot believe this meal cost us 24.15$.Quantity is next to nothing .I remember when I went to the seafood city when its first opened there was a good Quantity and quality. So seafood city stop ripping people off.We compare the prices of seafood city with the Walmart and superstore trust me you will find the same thing 5x times cheaper So I am asking people why are you going to seafood city if you get the same thing 5x cheaper in other stores. The price of 1 BBQ pork or chicken stick is 7$ ,just 2 bites trust me guys,It's just a rip off .Please find better store where you can more quantity and quality, Our experience with the front counter lady was very bad, would you believe she scooped back from my bowl to their own bowl.I was shocked ???? what a customer service, will never go back there in next 7 lives ,It's my humble request to all other people why they throwing their hardworking money to seafood city when they don't get the value of their money, feed poor people instead of wasting your in seafood city I don't know who gave them 5stars but I think that's their own people or they ask their own family members to give them 5 stars,if I have to give them no star I would have, no doubt .So seafood city stop ✋ ripping and give the quantity people are paying for ok
Very expensive nothing special about it just simple menu that can eat everyday not worth it. I brought some seafood and meat platters so little no sauce to dip. Manila Grilled is a complete meal already much better.
This is a fantastic location. Quite occupied. A food store providing a variety of Asian products.
A lot of food are delicious. You jiust need to try and taste them. I love the Barbeques and ginataang laing. Turon is good. The grocery and food item is a little bit pricey compare to other store. Thou there are some sale items which you can bought in the store. I hope one of this days they can make their price more atttactive to the customers. Staff are friendly.
Went in to check it out, not for me
Best place to visit if you are missing Pinoy grocery goods and food!
Excellent customer service by cashier Melanie R. Although the store was very busy at the time, she took time to answer questions and was very courteous and smiling the whole time.
Not bad!A goog place to try Filipino Food...
I purchased skate wings two days ago and I did not want it fried and I took it home and cooked it, the smell of the fish was rancid when it was opened from the packaging but I cooked it anyways. When I ate it, it tasted horrible so I threw it out. Never purchasing ANY seafood from this place EVER AGAIN.
Is big a lot of things that I have never seen, too much to choose from, but over all didn't buy much of anything that I like!
Friendly staff, manager immediately response on my complaint on overcooked skewers and replaced them quicly
This supermarket is super clean and has a selection of groceries I've never seen at other Asian supermarkets. The jollibee is now open at this location too. The Filipino bakery attached to this supermarket is sooooo good!!! Even though this location is far for us we like to come here often!
Enjoyed the great food we missed from the Philippines!
One stop shop for Pinoy born from the Philippines. Grocery + food trip. Great place to do grocery, eat in and take out. Panlasang Pinoy. Food line up though is extremely long and cashier is slow. Grocery prices not bad, some items are low but some are way much higher. Location is not ideal though.
Very well organized.
First time and surely not the last! It was amazing.
Can't really give it 4 or 5 star as I don't recognise a lot of the products on offer. If there is a better explanation of what I will be buying, then I would try it out, then my rating will be higher. Worth checking out though
Lots of filipino foods. Some are lil pricey but to have in the community.
Loved ???? all everything freshly cooked homestyle Filipino Asian food
Lots of seafood! You can even have your fish fried!. Will definitely comeback here.!
All the prepared foods are great. However, limited selection of produce and meats. Produce isn't the freshest in town. Prices are good.
???????????? Found all the things I needed.
Its like stepping back in time to a 1970's IGA. Its a good experience the place is clean the staff is friendly and lots of cool food. And the produce is fresh. Its also nice with those restaurants in there so you can pick up supper and not worry about cooking when you get home
Too busy..there's NO SOCIAL DISTANCING...NO good!!!!
well i visited based on recommendations of a friend...i asked walked to Grillcity asked for one value pack of fish.....one with grilled chicken and one with grilled pork. I got served bagnu fish in all three plates and 4 sticks of pork which I had to pay for on the side as an addition. And I didn't open the packs till I got home because I assumed I was clear....you can imagine my horror Little bit of advise please get some English speaking or understanding staff.. this was a horrible experience.
Don’t ever go here unless you want diarrhea. This place is only suitable for filipinos. You’ll never look at filipinos the same way again after you eat here. If you’re getting the mixed platter you better get a new toilet too. The food was too horrendous and I don’t even think I could deem it edible. All the food was too hard and tasteless. The portions were definitely not worth the price. At first glance, the mixed platter seemed to be an amazing deal, but that is not the case. I would give it a price tag of $5 instead of $40. I was hoping to step out of my comfort zone by exploring different Asian foods, but I think I’ll step back into it. When I threw my food into the trash can, the pre-existing trash looked more appetizing. I swear my lifespan decreased by 10 years after eating here. Remember to tell your parents goodbye before you visit.
NANCY THE MGR.AT SFC KNOWS HOW TO TAKE CARE OF CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM. SHE HAS AN AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. THANK YOU NANCY. Martha Carrera
Went there tonight to check out all the hype and do some grocery shopping and eat some ready made food. I thought everything was more expensive than other Asian markets. Ready made food was pricey and it was just ok. Probably wouldn’t go back unless I’m looking for hard to find products elsewhere.
busy place
Most of their goods are too way expensive compared to other locals
I'm rating 4☆ for many selections of food but very pricey. If you don't mind the $price it's a good place to get groceries and a quick bite.
Just picked up for Christmas Eve scheduled at 3:00 pm today and the line was so long. There is no system and no social distancing, totally in violation of COVID protocol! If you don’t push to give your orders form no one takes it and the pick up is not in order. If I get COVID it’ll be from Seafood City!!!
Lots of food
Convenience store on the go.
Excellent ???? service
I bought a Palabok in Grill city seafood city in Mississauga the noodles was still hard as if they cook it fast and lack of taste n ingredients sooo disappointed!!!warning guys don’t buy Palabok there….
A place for everyone who loves Philippines cuisine and groceries. It is with the same building of JOLLIBEE and VALERIOS. A busy place on the weekend.
They have so many selection of seafood and vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in their food court. Take out and dining in options available. Also grocery and other items are in store.
Good ready to eat foods. A lot of fish and good price. A little bit expensive fruits and vegetable.
Ita a great place to buy grocery, especially Asian food. They have a lot of choices, multiple brands and their prices are reasonable. You can find almost everything for your daily needs. The place is very clean and the staff is polite. I recommend this place for your grocery. Its located in Missisauga near Toronto.
Seafood is just a small part of the store, so the name can be a bit misleading. However the selection of seafood available is bigger than that at stores like Walmart, Safeway, Sobeys, Save on Food or Superstore. The downside is total disregard to social distancing by the shoppers, mainly of Flipino ethnicity.
I am reviewing for Grill City. Their chicken barbecue was cold as if it was cooked the day before and left out on a broken food warmer. The flavor was long gone. It was horrid. 2/5 stars for at least getting the white rice cooked properly.
Prices is a bit $$ expensive. But, the store is nice and clean. Staff are friendly... Washroom is clean but the hand dryer a little bit too loud you need a earplugs.
The best Asian supermarket that I'd been. If you're looking to buy Filipino food and ingredients, this is the best place. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the foods are delicious. The prices are reasonable for the most part, although you can buy some food with cheaper price in other groceries like Metro and Fresco.
not too much vegetables. but very clean place, but your music speaker seems bit problem.
Good place to find alot of different things.. reminds me of the Philippines.
Not ever going back to this place again! The food we tried was bland, grilled pork belly was rubbery, dry and tough! Worst of all, its super pricey! There are better Asian food places way better than this place. How can they justify " bagnet" or deep fried pork belly at $29.95 a pound?
It feels good to visit sometimes when you're looking something different or food you're missing. It's a little bit expensive of what they sell including the food when you eat there. It's like just regular if you rate the food you eat and the price you're paying.
I always enjoy going to this place. All the ingredients for the food I like to cook can be found here. My favourite is their ready to cook pork barbeque. It is so good and reasonably priced. Fresh fish can also be bought here and they can …
They have stuff that isn't available in other Asian grocery stores so I like to come here. They also offer take out food! It can be really crowded here though.
Too crowded even on late night on weekdays. Much worse on the weekends. But the free fish cleaning and cheap frying charge makes up for it.
Lot of Philippine food, selection of other Asian too, just flow isnt there (too cramped). Still worth the 2 hour drive, from London, for my family.
They have good cooked foods in house. BBQ Chicken and pork are same as in seafood city in cerritos california, but I think it is more expensive here in Mississauga. The grocery items are bit expensive. You also can find some Filipino grocery items that hard to find in other grocery stores. The fishes are fresh and ready cook. You can select fresh fishes in house and they can dip fry for you for $0.50 per pound. Hoping that Red Ribbon Bakeshop will open here too. Jollibee site construction in progress inside seafood city. I might be back here but for cooked food in house.
Went to Seafood City on July 15, 2020, it was around 2PM and it wasn't busy including Grill City and Crispy Town. Some of the prices, when it's on sale at Seafood City are competitive compared to the other Asian grocery stores in Edmonton but I find most of their products very expensive. After shopping we went over to Crispy Town to see what they have, maybe get a snack but the prices are expensive. My wife decided to get a drink instead. There was a customer in front of my wife paying for their food and she was next in line. After the employee processed the customer payment, she ignored my wife and walked away. Okay, maybe she didn't notice my wife but my wife wait patiently at the cash register to pay for her drink. The same female employee came back to the cash register, but instead of ringing in my wife's order she rudely told my wife to move aside so that she can ring in the guy behind her. We just left. We won't be going back to Seafood City after this experience.
