My boyfriend and I rented a canoe and fishing equipment here. The staff were all really lovely and knowledgable. Gear was in good shape. Staff had great recommendations for fishing spots at Pyramid Lake too. We also bought a camping plate and bowl here and they were reasonably priced. Overall, a great experience, would definitely recommend for fishing rentals.

This is a great store and guiding service. I had a great conversation with the owner, he was very nice. I also had help from one of their employees. In addition, I hired Ryan Catherwood for a fishing guide. He knows the area like the back of his hand. He was very knowledgeable and helped me catch a big bull trout. Go here with confidence!

Spent a brilliant day on Maligne Lake with Ryan and had an excellent guided fishing experience. Ryan was knowledgeable about not only fishing on Maligne, but also geography, history and other areas to try fishing. We'd been skunked on fishing together for over 37 years and Ryan made sure we broke that streak with one brown trout and we stopped counting the number of rainbow trout we caught.

We've been in here a few times this weekend, as I just bought a fishing rod before coming down to Jasper. FANTASTIC customer service, all of the guys (especially Bryan) are really helpful in giving us tips on where to fish, the best lures/things to use, etc. Today we overheard the manager or owner mention how all the other stores are charging more for fleece jackets, and how they weren't going to jack up their prices even though they could've. Mad respect for that! Keep it up guys :)

Wow!! Hubby and I booked a 4 hour trip for September 13th. Met our guide Ryan at the Maligne Lake boat launch and we both instantly knew we were going to have a great day. Ryan has a nice sized canoe that is well equipped. We did a mix of trolling and casting - me on a spinner reel and hubby fly fishing. Caught a bunch of trout which I personally had never fished for before - they are beautiful!! Ryan does all the dirty work and you just get to fish and take pics. Ryan is knowledgeable about all things fish as well as the area and we spent the day fishing, taking and laughing. He’s a great guide and really made our day so amazing. Can’t thank On Line and especially Ryan enough. We will definitely be back next year!

I recommend you stay away from here at all cost. We vacation and shop a lot in Jasper. I spent close to $200 on clothes for my family in this store on a recent trip, and then had the idea of renting a boat for half a day. For boat rentals, they only give the half day rate at around noon and it was 11:15 so I asked the owner if he wouldn't mind giving me the key a little early for the half day rate since I had spent a fair amount already. He proceeded to go on this long rant about how a smart businessman doesn't give breaks and he insulted me for being cheap. A simple "no" would have been fine, but his response was very hostile. Being the smart businessman that he is, I know take my business to other sports stores in Jasper.

Amazing store for flyfishers!!! After a horrible experience trying to rent a boat and ask about the area from "curries guiding" I was greeted with great customer service, and honest advice about the area that was integral to my success. Without their help, I would not have been successful my first time ever fly fishing in the area. The boats, batteries, and motors were in excellent working order. Especially if compared to other rental boats in the area that looked like they were abandoned. They were literally under water, beat up, old junkers. They belonged to "source for sports" Again a HUGE thanks to the 4 different employees of On-line sport and tackle for being so great at what you do!!! If fishing in the area, or just looking for a reliable boat, or looking for really anything outdoors related. I would highly recommend On-line sport and tackle!! I can't even imagine how awesome their guided trips must be!

I came in late one night as they were winding down for the day to get a few flies and maybe some intel on where to fish. I’m from Ontario and was only in jasper for two nights and wanted to make the most of it. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful with fly and location suggestions and with their tips I was able to land a handful of fish in a matter of hours. Very thankful for the advice and definitely recommend anyone looking to fish in jasper make a visit here beforehand!

The quality of their goods is generally poor. I purchased a sleeping bag based on one of their staffs recommendations. After closer inspection the quality was terrible and I couldn’t get a refund on it. They only issue store credit and being a tourist destination means that this is of little value to most customers as you’re essentially forced to buy other items that you don’t need.

This place apparently does not like children. We were in here 5 mins and the lady working in here told my kids to put the items we were thinking about buying back. I guess they don't want customers to touch anything before buying? Doesn't seem like a trust worthy or high quality place.

I purchased a jacket from this place and come to find out it was double the cost. I went to return the jacket and the Manager instructed me that I couldn't return the jacket. She said speak to the owner. The owner is only in on the weekend and it is a 6 hour drive for me. Horrendous customer service. If the manager can't handle customersituations then what is the point of even having a manager. DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER!

Abysmal customer service. I had misplaced my fishing license that I had purchased from here a few days ago. When called to get a scan or a picture of the carbon copy I was rudely told that it wasn't their job and that if I wanted to look through the book to see if it's there then I myself could make a copy. I will not be driving out there from hinton for a chance that they may have it. I have shopped here for some time and have spent more than enough money on their overpriced tackle and clothing solely because I want to support a local proprietor. No more for me. If you fish the area regularly, get your license elsewhere. it's just a tiny slip of paper easily lost or destroyed. You'll end up buying a new one.

Worst place !! Do not buy any battery powered lighting from this place! We had to go back 2 days in a row after it failed after an hour and wouldn’t give a refund... not convenient when your camping with no light.

The owner should take some classes on business practice standards and treating customers with respect. Terrible experience. Unfortunately, the entire staff lack customer service skills. I was lied to on the phone for a boat rental and was charged right away on my credit card and when I asked for a refund I was told I wasn't getting one. Do not go here! There are plenty of other sports stores in Jasper. Unfortunately, I have learned the hard way. P.s. Unfortunately is the only word I heard for the 2 days I spent dealing with these criminals, hundreds of dollars gone with no reason why I wasn't getting a refund and unsatisfactory results. The owner hung up in my face. If you want to keep customers coming to your store and keep business up then you need to take care of your customers. Word of mouth spreads far. With the internet, I hope your store shuts down!

Was buying an Alberta Fishing magazine tonight, as i was walking with it towards the front for my wife to pay for with a shirt she was purchasing, the older lady stated quite loudly that it is not a free magazine. The green sales sticker on the front didn't give it away. Won't be shopping there anytime soon again.

Walked in after talking to the local source for sports about fishing locally in the winter. Was told by source that there was nothing but ice fishing in December. After talking to the staff at online they told me there was tons of fishing to do! Was directed to a great spot just outside of town where I hooked up on 5 and landed three within an hour! One of which being almost a ten pound bull trout that took me 20 mins to bring in! Staff was awesome, store was awesome would definitely recommend for anyone wondering about fishing in the area. Fly fishing or spin, this is the place to go!

We rented two boats with motors from them. One boat had both paddle and motor broken after 10 hours. Finally we were saved by Canada NP Rescue. The other boat had water leaking!!! One people in the boat had to keep working to get rid of water in boat. We are so lucky that we survived from the trip....

Absolutely unacceptable customer service. They were very rude to say the least. When we had issues with the motors & canoes we rented, they did not care to resolve any of the issues. All they cared about is taking our money. Even tried to speak to the owner Mike, and he was very rude and did not help. I DO NOT recommend renting anything from here, there are plenty of other places in Jasper to rent from, but this place has soulless workers that only see dollar signs in tourists eyes and zero service or honesty

We rented a canoe for Maligne lake here. Staff was friendly. They gave us lots of ideas about things to do in Jasper and fishing tips for Maligne Lake. We managed to land 5 nice trout with their help! The canoes were in great shape and it was a super easy process. They are stored at the lake near the boat launch. They let us take the keys the night before and drop them off the morning after for the full day rental which was great as we did not have to rush. Would highly recommend them if you're looking for boat rentals or need advice about fishing in Jasper.

Very bad customer service. The manager is not service oriented. They treat you like they're doing you a huge favor by renting from them. We got information from one guy. Went back in, got different information from a manager and when we called to rent again different information. No one has a clue what they're doing. Their boats are in poor shape too. Stay away from these miserable people.

Customer service is the worst i ever experienced, the products... lets not even start... i rented a boat and i promised myself to never do it again from this store. This is the kind of place, that would certainly ruin your vacation or your mood for the day at-least. I have learned the hard way that reviews on google are accurate. I hope for the sake of tourists, that they find another place.

Terrible customer service. Mike, the owner, stood in front of us on a personal call for several minutes before helping us. Began the conversation talking about roadkill and then asked us if we wanted to do something illegal. Appalling.
