We support and patronize Ocean Odyssey Inland for the highest quality seafood and local food products, and have for years. We do not buy extravagantly but the Ocean Odyssey Inland business model of sustainable, organic and non-industrial food provisions is important to us. The product does cost more than the big box provisioners (poisoners?) but is so wonderful. Fresh from Iceland and the Pacific coast of Canada, frozen from the same. It is the right source for thoughtful seafood and other local organic foods.

As a fan of seafood I was fortunate enough to stumble upon Ocean Odyssey Inland. They carry Atlantic fish too, which I've had trouble finding in the west. Most of it's frozen but you can get fresh seafood on Thursdays. On Tuesdays they have 10% off their Icelandic products. They also bison meat but the selection is limited. If you're a fan of seafood in this landlocked city you'll likely enjoy Ocean Odyssey Inland.

I am not a fish eater, however my wife is. We went on a Saturday and the door was opened before the advertised business hours. That made me a fan right off the start. Once inside my wife commented on the great variety of products. Everything was nicely displayed with prices clearly marked. Not knowing much about seafood I thought the prices seemed high. She commented that if the quality was good then the extra cost was worth it compared to buying fish elsewhere. After a few minutes a nice young man asked if we need assistance. Sure we said. What fish would be good for pan fried sweet and sour recipes? He offered suggestions based on the fact that certain fish are firmer and would not fall apart during cooking. Nice. I thought. Someone that actually knew his stuff. These days people have no idea what they are selling. Sad but true. We purchased product based on his recommendation. Later in the day we cooked the fish and I was pleased to find the whole house didn't have an overpowering fish smell. My wife and son were in their glory eating their sweet and sour fish. While I ate something else. They commented how good the flavor and texture was. Much better than other fish we had previously bought from other sources. So we now have a new source of seafood for them and we will be regular customers. As for me... I noticed they sell large containers of local honey. That's a reason for me to look forward to a return visit. Support this fine establishment. They provide good quality products and deserve your business.

This Humble little store in Edmonton is a gem! Friendly , well informed young man helped me with picking type of fish I wanted. Prices of fish and quality was outstanding!!! They also have lots of other local foods to buy.... frozen local perogies, borscht, meat pies, etc. Will now be a regular customer for sure . Buy local! Great seafood can be tough to find in Edmonton, but this place solves that problem. A small distributor that is open to the public, these guys provide seafood to the best restaurants in town. A wide selection of fresh fish and mussels and probably the widest selection of frozen in town. I didn't know smoked albacore tuna existed before I found it here and now I can't go long without it. I love crab cakes but I think I might love their salmon cakes even more. This is definately not the cheapest place for seafood but I don't think anyone should be looking for that so far from an ocean. The quality is unmatched and the friendly staff is always happy to provide information or suggestion. They also have a selection of local Ukrainian dishes and local cheeses. This is the only place in town I buy seafood from anymore.

Great spot to get fresh oysters! Very good selection of fish and seafood at reasonable prices - and you can get special items like Certified Ocean Wise caviar from NB, and just about anything else with a bit of lead time. Friendly staff and always willing to answer questions with a smile.

Wonderful service. Large variety of fish, King crab, fish stock, Icelandic salt. I had to travel a distance home and they packed my purchase in ice packs to make sure it stayed frozen. Great little business home grown.

IF you want fresh wild caught fish, certified MSC, and fish you can trust is what is represented then look no further than Ocean Odyssey iNLAND market near Mayfield Common. ( And weekends at the local farmer's markets) They bring in fish and seafood direct from Iceland and across Canada to give you the best options "catch" of the day. And if they run out they also have a vast catalog of fresh frozen premium products from around the world! A+ (Having some Fresh Wild Atlantic Salmon tomorrow on the grill!)

Great place for good quality wild caught, fresh fish, as well as frozen. The arctic char I purchased here was excellent. I did feel a bit patronized to when I tried to ask about fresh sea bass, however. Got talked down to a little bit. I'm not there for a lecture, thanks.

I expected more fresh fish maybe a couple of live fish swimming around that I could pick. I called a few days before and was told the shipment comes in on Thursday, thought they would be stocked to the gills ( hahaha) The fish i did buy was cleaned poorly and I had to scale it. TnT supermarket does this for you. The customer service is good, the price was also amazing, so I can live with having to throw scales all over my kitchen counter. Once I taste the fish then my review may change. For now, I "might" be back?

I was looking for sashimi grade fish and was disappointed. Their Atlantic salmon had skin on it still and that's what they told me they had for salmon grade. Very small selection for sushi grade fishes. Their Ahi tuna was great for sushi grade! The quality looks great but a bit more expensive than other places I have been too. TNT sells skin less salmon grade sushi Fin's seafood is cheaper for AHI TUNA sushi grade.

it's my 2nd 5 stars review for this place. by far the best seafood shopping place we found in this seafood desert town. most of the seafood you found in the stores are next to garbage in our standard. we want nothing but clean and safe to eat seafood. couldn't believe here in Edmonton supermarkets are selling almost rotten fishes, crabs stored in dirty water, etc. we found this store by accident cause it's not on a busy road. we received good service there and gained some extra knowledges too about the seafood. although I did not figure out why bison meat is available in a seafood store but it is not what I care anyway. highly recommended. don't expect you can find live fish swimming in crystal clear sea water like they do in Asia in this town, this shop probably is the most freshest seafood you can find. I like they put my oysters in small boxes with ice on the top. keep them cool and fresh.
