Best fish & reptile store in our area for sure. Even if you're just looking for a Betta, this is the place to visit!! They treat their animals properly, and keep them healthy. On my visit I bought a Betta, and while they're a bit more expensice, you pay for what you get, the Bettas live in a comparably-spacious tank, to other stores that's been custom made for them. Also very good for finding weird chemicals or supplies mainstream petstores don't carry. Very local and convenient location, look forward to being a regular customer!!

I visited the Oasis pet shop looking for a new gecko tank. I had spend a good part of the day searching when I'd decided to try Oasis. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answeing all of the questions that I had very well. They had everything I needed and more to set up my tank and advice for how to go about it. A real hidden gem in the retail pet world. If you have reptiles/fish, or even a fleeting interest in looking at them (or maybe buying them), this place is hands-down your destination. First visit was a turn off for me, there is a little dog running around the store that I was almost tripping over, the staff made no attempt to call him off us even though I was clearly trying to get away from him. The lady we spoke with there was also kind of snotty, when I told her we were looking for fish for a tank with no heater she basically told me they had nothing to offer really and then she started talking to another staff member. I won't go back.

The owners and staff truly care about their animals and all the stock is very well cared for. The bettas in particular are kept in tanks instead of in sad little cups like you usually see at other pet stores, and they only get their reptiles from reputable breeders as well, to ensure that they're healthy. If you ever have any questions about reptile or fish care, they are super well informed and will help you as best they can. This is my go-to fish store, and I wouldn't have it any other way..~

This is a really neat store! I came to buy some mice for my snake and ended up wandering around a little and checking things out. They have a huge selection of items and they have some really neat little reptiles there. We happened to walk along the street while going back to St. Albert Gymnastics. My daughter wanted to check it out as we used to run a salt water tank and she remembers looking at the cool stuff in the tanks. So we dropped in. The business is clean and if I remember his name properly Adrian was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We didn't end up buying anything but I'm pretty sure that my daughter was begging me to buy a turtle for my wife's b-day. If we were to buy something we would probably end up coming back here.

I rlly liked this place for a while the people seemed rlly knowledagable and had every thing for my loved little beardie so i trusted a associate on the advice of coconut shells for a substrate saying it would be best for him due to him being able to digest is accidentaly eaten but...... The humidity was always too high and turns out he cant digest it I slowly started noticing the problems of having this substrate hes showing signs of resperatory problems and impaction i spent good money to ensure his health and i feel lied too and now i have to go to the vet concerned if he will be ok be wary of advice given....

I always have a great experience at Oasis! I got my betta and my mystery snail there. They keep their bettas in temperature controlled tanks with filtration, not cups like other pet stores! They have a great selection on bettas and many other fish! Their customer service is amazing, I always call when I have questions and they are very polite and knowledgeable. I prefer to go to Oasis over any other pet store! I know what I get there is going to be top quality and healthy. Their prices are really great too! It's hard to find better prices anywhere else!

So maybe Adrian and his staff know their reptiles but I have my doubts his experience with fish is what he says. I have a 180 gallon acrylic aquarium and had close to A hundred tetras and other small community fish along with 29 Discus( 10 adults and 19 young ones) and 3 plecos. The tank was well established and water parameters were all good and stable with nitrates slightly high around 5ppm. He was shown a video of one of the discus showing signs of possible fungal or bacteria problems. He recommended Methylene Blue as a treatment and based off his recommendations along with the bottle says was told to put 1 capful per 10 gallons for 5-7 days along with water change. I don’t have the ability for a hospital tank. After the first day it was very apparent this was an extremely high dosage and I called back to insure this was the correct way of doing it. Although he didn’t answer the phone his staff confirmed follow the directions on the bottle and everyday for 5 days or So, it was so dark in the aquarium you could not see anything. The 2nd day I did another dose and at that time I knew it was wrong. I called a vet who specializes in fish in Edmonton and he came and looked at what was going on and told me this was way too high of dose and should of been a few drops. In the end lost thousands of dollars in fish and plants and in the process of seeing if the aquarium is stained in anyway. Beware of what Adrian and his staff recommend and even more so when it is a rebranded medication being sold as part of the store. On a foot note I did try discussing this with Adrian but was adamant that he has used this stuff many times and this dosage with no issues and after a few days the blue will go away. It’s been 3 days and you still can’t see in the tank and that’s even after water changes each day!!!!!!

Today was my first time coming here. I was reccomend by another tortoise owner. What a great experience. I was wanting to order a large bag of Mazuri small tortoise diet. They were happy to order it and friendly to deal with. Tons of selection for food and specialty reptile supplies. Space was clean and well organized. I went here! This is a pet store that specializes in fish, and reptiles. As such, they have many fish, and also many reptiles (but as a little preview: they also have an amphibian!) There are abundant fish species, many snakes, several turtles, a good few lizards, and for the amphibian: they have an axolotl! But the real highlights is the chameleon. Hes very good. Has mittens for hands. Very observant eyes. Good. Good.

Oasis is awesome! They have stayed open through this pandemic using online resources since they don't have enough room to have people in the store. Even with this, it was my best experience with a reptile (or fish for that matter) store. They walked me through what the process would be like for picking up two new mourning geckos. Unfortunately, I was running late getting to the store but they stayed after close to ensure I got my geckos. It has now been almost a week, and my new little gals are doing very well! Oasis Fish & Reptile is hands-down the best place for anything reptile-related. I don't live in St Albert, but there's no question that this store is worth the drive (we've been buying food and supplies there for about two years now). Even pre-COVID they were always willing to communicate via Messenger re: stock availability, and now they are just simply rockstars at it. A couple months ago my husband and I decided that our daughter was finally ready for a pet lizard (she'd been agitating for one for over a year), and Adrian sent me care sheets so we could choose the most appropriate species. We came to a final decision last weekend, and as they are understandably closed for in-store shopping, Adrian sent us photos and prices of what was available. He also very kindly agreed to send us photos of a few different vine & foliage sets, and food varieties to choose from, so that my daughter could experience some of the excitement of choosing accessories for a long-awaited new pet. I highly recommend this store given their excellent selection, competitive prices, and because Adrian and Crystal are wonderful humans who clearly care deeply for their animals, and customers.

Very clustered space. I was asking questions and felt rushed and like I was just annoying them. I was looking into getting a snake and a couple new fish. It was my first time looking at the different types of snakes, easy to say once I do my OWN research I’ll be finding the right snake, and I won’t be coming to this place. Very unwelcoming. I hate to put a damper in all your 5 star reviews but my experience was not on the mark. Really makes me wonder how you actually get all these “5 stars”.

Decided to try this place after having hard time keeping my fish alive! They are totally different experience than all 'well known' shops that give you falsified info and different experience everytime! Oasis are super knowledgeable and helpful and the way they build your fish tank is quite scientific and systematic. They keep healthy fish and they have their own branded products which I love them especially how they treat excessive algae build up. I don't think any other fish shop has their consistent customer service.
