North Sea in Crowfoot has incredibly high quality products and service, par excellence. Thank you Maxine! Everything is so fresh and delicious, my favourites are the Atlantic and Sockeye Salmon. The fish is sashimi grade, so sometimes we make our own sushi, nigiri, & hand rolls at home. Also, don't forgot to check out the freezer, there are yummy Valbella Tourtierre meat pies, free range chickens, various soups (my favourite is the Bouillabaise), and tobiko. There is also much more I need to try. Ooh, also the candied salmon is fabulous, if I am at the store and am hungry I pick this up for my family to munch on while we get dinner going :)

So my fiance bought us 2 bags of Crab for my birthday dinner and they were AMAZING. We went to costco a couple days after and saw that the crab there was at least 3x more expensive and did not look anywhere near as good as the Crab we got! I have a Crab obsession and will be visiting often!!!!

From reading the other reviews I thought this place would be a good spot for seafood. They did have what I needed and I bought some extra stuff as well but I won't be going back. I now understand their 1 star reviews. Even though they may have some good product the lady serving me, I'm assuming may be the owner was very unfriendly. It felt as though she had no patience for me and I may be wasting her time. Mind you there wasn't a line up outside the store and I wasn't taking my own sweet time. I'm only giving 3 stars because the seafood I bought was excellent but the service is poor.

VERY poor attitude on the lady in there. She was literally personally offended by me because I didn't like the caviar. The selection in there is small also.

Hi just a note to say what a pleasurable experience it was to deal with Maxine the new owner of North Sea fish Market. Yes the product was great, I bought haddock and, upon Maxine's suggestion I tried some fermented Cod Livers (the taste is amazing!). I guess the best part is how endearing Maxine is, down to earth (east coast style), truly knowledgable , and always open for a good conversation. That's why I give the company two thumbs up. Perhaps this should be their Stop for the fish… but stay for the conversation. Just a thought.

Came in looking for sea bass, was welcomed warmly with an amazing staff member who I later found out was the owner and operator, and was served well beyond my expectations. We just had the sea bass for dinner and it was the best sea bass we have ever had! And we’ve had from a few places! We have referred this place to 6 people who are interested so far and will definitely come back. Very very pleased and impressed !!

So was in today and just started coming,I'm very happy as this place has great seafood BUT as I was paying I realized they had lobster tails and was told well we have other people waiting !!!!! I felt obligated to leave as I was about to spend another 100$ plus I felt bad for people outside waiting but to bad ,I found what I wanted without buying as 5 extra minutes was too long apparently,

We drive an hour each way to come to his store and have never been disappointed with the quality of their seafood. The owner is pleasant and helpful, and obviously takes great pride in her business. Great selection of fresh and frozen, and love being able to buy fresh oysters. We especially appreciate being able to phone-in and reserve our order, so we don’t make the drive and find they are sold out!
