Lots of fish in a small strip mall store. Parking right out front. Easy to find literally next to Giant Tiger store on the west side (left). Prices range quite abit but definitely included some of the lowest prices around, not counting Kijiji. Aquarium Supplies are limited as usual for smaller scale stores. It seems English, Vietnamese and Chinese services are available here. Go during no peak period if possible. The aisles are less than 4 ft wide so it can feel cramped quite quickly. Overall it's worth a visit if you've got the time.

Seriously. Best aquarium in the city. Had some issues with my angelfish tank getting ick for the first time. Other aquariums in the city essentially just told me to let everything die but the owner here helped me with medicating the tank, educated me on it, and then helped me get my rare angelfishes back to good health. Tank has been ick free for 5 months now. Thank you so much! Will definitely be buying all future fish from here!

I've been buying fish from Dennis @ Gold Aquariums for over 20 years. He is the most knowledgeable fish keeper I have met in Calgary and has basically taught me all I know. If you have a question, he is more than happy to give you sound advice. In fact, when I was just starting out, he made sure I understood the basics of water quality and which fish are compatible with which... In fact, I was having a hard time with water clarity so he offered to come to my house and watched me do a water change and quickly realised I was rinsing my filters under the tap. Dave and Dennis will definitely set you up for success. All that and his tanks are always super clean, his fish are super healthy, and just happen to have the best prices in town! Over the last 20 years, I've shopped around everywhere in Calgary and always come back to Gold's.. Thanks Dave and Dennis!

Stock of unique fish you do not often see at any chain pet store! The store itself is tight so I would suggest knowing what kind of fish you want / or call ahead but the crew was helpful and wanted to make sure the fish I was taking home was in good hands.

I ordered a custom tank from them and was told a week and a half to completion. I called at a week and a half and was told 2 more days. It's now been 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten it. I would suggest going to Concept Aquariums. Done in 3-4 days and no messing around.

Just switched to cichlids a few months ago, did lots of research before I started shopping. I went to 2 other stores and they were fine but found limited knowledgeable support. After going to golds I won't go anywhere else. They have a great selection, healthy fish, the best service I have experienced, very knowledgeable and helpful, and by far the best prices. As a new cichlids keeper, the staff took time to give me advice, and many of the tanks were labelled with scientific and common names so I knew what I was looking at.

A very great place to buy fish especially exotic types too. Is one of the best places in South Calgary that sell fish on the quality is very high and the expectations are high. They've a really good selection of fish and they also have a very good team of Staff who can answer pretty much any question you ask or throw at them. I previously bought a fish from there and I've had it for about 6 months now and has grown amazingly following their instructions on how to care for the fish.

Customer service is terrible, seems to be in a hurry at all times. Advertises wrong. I was trying to buy a certain color of cichlids and was being force to take the whole breeding group so i had no option but not to buy it, but on the tank it prices out for $25 each meaning its sold by each not as a group.

Very great place to shop specially for new aquarist, Dennis and Dave spend their their time to give good advice, i started my aquariums 7yrs ago (saltwater and freshwater) i bought all my fishes, corals, plants and equipments from this place and i didn't have any problems, both of my aquarium are thriving until now. The staffs are very friendly. Dennis and Dave are very knowledgeable to give some good advice and the big advantage are because they own the business, i do recommend Gold Aquarium.

Bought 3 gouramis..2 died the very next day. One of the cheapest place to buy fish..but I will opt for more expensive place like Pisces. Update: the rest of my already existing fishes started dying. The fish I bought from here was already sick which polluted my entire tank. Will stay away from this place like a plague. Only buy from here if you have a quarantine tank.
