I ordered, in person at the store face to face, 30 lbs of live crawfish to be picked up Friday. We had a complete conversation about the crawfish, she told me she had the seasoning in store for when I picked them up. Friday came along, guests from out of town were on their way, i got a call from Gaudettes telling me my order had arrived. I verified that I could also grab the seasoning when picking up the crawfish. She says"i ordered you lobster?" I explained that my order was for crawfish not lobster to which she replied well all those went out yesterday, ive only got 5 lbs, do you know anyone else who would want live lobster?..... not an apology, no trying to make it right. Even still I went it to buy the remaining 5lbs of crawfish and some of the lobster, yes It was 2 hours after our phone conversation, but I was EXTREMELY disappointed as we'd purchased everything for a crawfish boil, not lobster. Without calling me back to verify I wanted any if not all, she had sold them on me, now I'm stuck with nothing but her lowsey attitude towards me when I came into her store. NEVER again will I go back, no apology, no trying to compensate, just attitude as if I had made the mistake not her.

First time visiting Gaudet's and let me tell you, it didn't feel like a first. I was very welcomed and had an easy conversation on what I was looking for. Smells like an ocean and the food was amazing. I had picked out some blue crab and Sushi grade salmon for the night which was so delicious! Can't wait to try out the halibut I purchased for a later date!

Picked up 5 lbs of fresh mussels and some other frozen items, and just finished cooking most of the items. Gaudet's quality is much higher than I've encountered and the lady there is very knowledgeable! Highly recommended.

I would give this place 5 stars but i have always found them a little more expensive than Fins seafood but then there's the quality you can't argue with (especially since Fins was bought out and their quality has really gone down) and i know I'll burn for this but i never remember the lovely lady who runs the place and is a total star with me!

I have never been to a sea food market before but we decided to do a sea food boil for Thanksgiving. Im not sure what the ladies name was that helped me out but she was amazing. She asked how many we were feeding and she was more than knowledgeable with how much sea food we'd need and had all the time in the world to help me out. My family lived on Queen Charlotte Island (so we know sea food) for many years and although frozen the quality of product was top notch and absolutely amazing. Keep up the great costumer service and quality and we will definitely be back.

Love this place! We have purchased food a few times from here and the food is always delicious! This past week we had company coming to visit down from Germany and wanted to do a big seafood feast including crab legs- I called my husband while at the store to confirm which size of crab legs he wanted me to purchase. The woman working overheard my conversation and the fact that we didn’t have a pot to cook the crab legs and offered that we bowwow hers to cook them and then bring the pot back the following week. Unbelievable kindness- my husband and I both were so thankful at what a generous and kind heart the woman working had. She just trusted we would return the pot - she didn’t even ask any questions. Thank you! We will continue to buy our seafood here always not only for the amazing quality of food but also the wonderful customer service!

I have been a regular customer of Gaudets both in the the old location and new for over 5 years. They are by far the best place to go for seafood in the Edmonton area. Now in St. Albert, I travel out of my way to ensure I get the highest quality - nothing like what you will get at your local grocery store. The King crab is huge, snow crab, Digby scallops, lobster selection phenomenal, fresh and frozen fish of all kinds, and much more. Prices are better than the competition, too. Service is way above average. I love this place!!!

Very disappointing. $75 worth of Chilean Sea Bass was full of bones. By the time the bones were removed 1/3 of it was waste and the intended dish was a write off. Couldn't feel or see the bones at time of purchase because it was frozen. Won't be back.

I have been purchasing seafood from Gaudet's since it opened in St. Albert. I have yet to be disappointed. The selection of fresh fish is excellent, and always changing, as fresh fish selection should. The frozen fish selection is wonderful, as is the sashimi selection as well, whether that be flash frozen or fresh. Shirley is always there, ready to answer any questions, very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a wonderful place with great prices and friendly service, Gaudet's is the place, no need to look further. You will not be disappointed and your family will enjoy the delicious seafood you bring home. My kids love seafood and love going into Gaudet's to see Shirley. Thank you Shirley!!!! Only place I know of that only sells fish solely from the Atlantic which means no Fukushima radiation. Fresh fish is brought in every couple days. I don't eat fish from anywhere else.

They ship in fresh east coast seafood and wild Atlantic salmon weekly with special orders welcome. They have an amazing selection of fish from around the world. All sorts of treats; from cod cheeks and popcorn shrimp to crab cakes. Shirley knows everything about every piece of seafood she sells. Knows the origin, texture, protein content etc. Shirley has been in the seafood game for a very long time and her business demonstrates that expertise at a very high level. Highly recommend this independent business.
