I had some pretty high expectations for this seafood market given all the signs they have exclaiming their fresh seafood. Unfortunately the reality of this store is that it is mostly frozen food, much of which is not seafood. We found the quality of food mediocre in flavour though the prices were reasonable. We did not try the sashimi grade fish which looked great because of the cost. The staff were nice and did a great job showing us around and highlighting their products.

They are friendly and clean and always have specials they have a variety of meats and fish and specialty sauces and jams. They also have prepared foods that are tasty chicken cordon bleu, chowders, dim sum and spring rolls.

Terrible customer service!! I bought a Groupon - 17$ for $30 worth of product. NOWHERE on the Groupon in the fine print did it say that it had to be the frozen or jarred product. The person I dealt with was extremely rude!! I filed a protest with Groupon and ultimately got my money back - WILL NEVER DEAL WITH AGAIN

The store is really good i mean they have plenty of choices of everything fish,lobsters,mussles etc including frozen meals ready to go.Plus they have also chicken and other stuff pre-cook meals.The owners ,couple is very helpful and nice .I wish them the best but for me almost everything is overpriced. I can buy frozen fish everywhere else much cheaper.

This place has sushi grade fish, prepared seafood and raw unprepared seafood. They also have a loyalty program where if you spend $40 on every 4 visits, your 5th visit you get 50% off. There are some limitations but its worth asking them about it. They do attend the farmers markets around Edmonton and area so they also sell some goods from other farmers market vendors. They have Kim chee. I looked all around north east Edmonton last year and couldn't find Kim chee anywhere so Im happy this is here.

Lobster tails and scallops we picked up and grilled at home were amazing. Use maps to get there, 'cause you could drive by and not see it. Haven't yet tried the salmon we got for free with our purchase, but definitely looking forward to it.

Omg! I went to catch of the day for the first time today after googling “sashimi grade salmon” I was so surprised by the amazing customer service, the lady was so helpful and welcoming! Now for the salmon… it is sooooo buttery and delicious, better than at most restaurants! I will definitely become a regular, definitely worth the trip to the north side! I also got 2 filet mignions, halibut and a seafood shell! Prices are amazing!

The bay scallops and Argentine shrimp I bought were both horrible fishy and the shrimp, which are ordinarily sweet, were flavorless but the fishy taste. The woman there was nice but extremely pushy. I won't be back.

I was a regular customer of their farmers markets and was happy they finally opened a store in my neighborhood! After a few times as a regular customer I saw and bought a groupon to use for my next visit. Spreading the word, my daughter bought me a groupon for Christmas. When I went in to use it, the owners recognized me and said that I couldn't use my gift groupon as it was only for new customers and I had already used one!! I tried to explain that the site does not stipulate that, and you were allowed to buy one and give one as a gift. How can you give one as a gift but the recipient cannot use it? That's when the owner lost it! I mean he was yelling and berating me in front of many other customers saying that they lose money on the groupons and there weren't going to accept it because of their rules they are allowed as private business owners. I have never had this happen and have used Groupon for many years. Then he ordered me and my friend out of the store!! It was humiliating and wrong on so many levels. How can you just start a business and treat a regular customer that way? I understand that many times businesses have to lose a little on a groupon, and they themselves signed up for that but he couldn't have cared that he lost two lifetime customers and how many more by word of mouth for a few dollars from a groupon that he could have written off as a business expense! If you feel strongly about his actions today, don't support this overpriced undeserving business. It was so wrong how we were treated and no one should have to be humiliated in a place of business when you are there to use a groupon that was legally purchased as a gift. We were sitting in the car in shock after being asked to leave the store when a lady who was in the store at the time and witnessed the owner's deplorable treatment of us came over to our car. She said "just so you know I thought that man was unbelievably rude and you didn't deserve to be treated that way so I will never set foot in that store again, I don't need seafood that bad"!! Just know there are so many falsehoods in the reply below. They try to justify their actions by accusing you of things that didn't happen and assuming other things they shouldn't. More nasty things are said and you can see for yourself the level of professionalism that just isn't there. Really? All for one little groupon I asked permission to use because it was a gift!!

Completely misleading advertising. I drove all the way across the city to come here to get the fresh fish that was advertised on the website. The website listed several wonderful options as fresh. When I got there, the only thing they had that was fresh was salmon. I was incredibly disappointed having driven all the way over there looking for the fresh wild arctic char that they had advertised. I do not believe in rewarding companies that falsely advertise, I will not be back.

sold me a hot sauce once I got home and used it I noticed the best before date was 28 se 20. So i called back to tell them that this is expired/best before ( same thing in my opinion ) and they told me that it is just a best before date which means its still good just not its best. I wish I they would have informed me that I was getting old product that is not at its best when I spent 15 dollars a bottle of hot sauce.

I have been receiving emails of their monthly flyers and specials for some time now and have also bought a Groupon voucher. I finally visited the store this weekend as they were celebrating their 1 year of opening. I was greeted as I entered and everyone was very nice. Emilie came out and introduce herself to me and asked if this was my first time at the store and of course it was my first time. She started showing me all the products they carry and was very knowledgeable with every item she showed me, explained to me the items that were on special and an explination of the Groupon I have as I told her I was planning to use it. I totally understand that the Groupon I have could not be used on current promotional or specials as that is stated on the Groupon website. Some people take advantage of that and use the Groupon on promotional items. I still ended up using my Groupon because I did purchased an item that was not a promo or special item. After grabbing what I wanted and Emilie offering to take them inside for me she offered me some tasting of food that they were offering on location. Of course I tasted a bit of everything and it all tasted pretty good. In the end I spent over $50 and also received a free sashimi grade salmon. Overall good experience here with friendly staff and lots of good seafood selections. Will definitely be back.

Catch of the day is one of my favourite stores in Edmonton. I have been going for a over a year now. The seafood is incredible. The store recently expanded and it is well stocked will a very wide variety of seafood. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their sashimi grade salmon is delicious. Everything is delicious.

This was my second visit. Staff are all super friendly and helpful. Fresh fish is delicious and the prepared stuff that we have tried ( bacon wrapped scallops and coconut shrimp) were both really good. We ended up getting a membership to pig out on fish more often

Great place. There in the middle of expanding their shop . Hard to find as it's located behind the thrift shop and there's no signs to state their location until u pull up to the door and then you can see his display in the window. Very friendly service.

I have never been more disappointed in an establishment. Came in and bought FOUR lobster tails for $70, with the lady stating that they were 8 ounces. Came home and weighed them to have them only be 5.51 ounces. OVERPRICED AND DECEIVING. The amount of meat I got for $70 was truly infuriating. STAY AWAY. You'd get more out of your money going to a restaurant! Very very disappointing.

The aunt Edna's lobster mac and cheese was a huge disappointment. It's not lobster it's cheap immigration crab meat the same garbage you get at the grocery store. Very disappointed that a place claiming to sell fresh fish would use this and call it lobster.

We have not tried our other purchases at Bountiful Market from this merchant last Sunday. But the perch was poor. It was strong, not sweet and delicate as it should be. It was probably old. It was a great disappointment.

Staff was very friendly and informative, I appreciated that they took the time to show me around the store The sashimi salmon was tasty, but quite expensive. I would not recommend getting the lobster mac and cheese or the crab cakes. Both items had an overwhelming amount of imitation lobster/crab (pollock), it was hard to tell if any actual seafood was in there and taste was lacking. Spinach dip in the refrigerator was expired and still for sale.

If I could give a zero I would unfortunately the minimum is a 1. I’ve given these people 3 opportunities. I have had 2 bad experiences with the food but thought I would give them 1 more try. What a mistake. I think I will take my leftovers back to them this time (which was their frozen lobster mac n cheese). Heating instructions where totally inaccurate and it was flavourless. Lots of macaroni not much sauce or cheese and even less lobster. Not impressed and I don’t think I will ever go back. (Except to take back the leftovers).
