I have just had call with Vernon and I have not been impressed at all. After listening 4 hours to the boot camp and trying to understand, my conclusion as business owner and real estate investor is: They have a great sales process where they are looking for people it is easy to sell to There is a lot of water around and manipulation with the terms "Be Your Own Banker", "The money flows to you", "You get paid dividends because you are part of the company" and so on. They try to explain why returns are not important - because returns are not good with this product. So they do their best to direct away from this point. In my opinion. they did not provide good clear explanation why I should mix life insurance with poorly producing investment. You put your money to borrow it later - they try to explain it is not your money as your money continue working for you. However, you pay interest on the money you borrow so if the return is less than what you borrow for, we are loosing money. At the end, you put your money and you are allowed to borrow against it for high interest. They try to explain that cash value is not there for a few years, as you need to invest in the business, however, fail to mention that a full year of the premiums and may be more goes to pay commission for selling you this product. Plus you probably pay insurance company for managing your money. When you ask what is the negative - the only answer is not to take advantage of it :-) It is clear that no one product can be useful for everyone. And there are many more points. While doing my research I saw a few videos from Dave Ramsey who very clearly explain the issue with these types of products and why people who sell these products and insurance companies mainly benefit from it. It is also a big commitment for many years, that if you decide to exit earlier or cannot make these contributions for 10+ years with big upfront payments that insurance company is going to use, you loose a lot of money. No one mentioned it during the presentation or during the call. I know it is a long review, however, I did a long research and wanted to share it so people can do their own before trusting sales person who has a goal of selling it because of the commission.
