If I could give 0 stars I would. Customer service is non existent at this branch. They made me go all the way to surrey branch to solve something they had absolutely alllllll the capacity to fix themselves, this was informed by the general manager at the branch in surrey I was forced to go to. The managers are complete and utterly useless, rude and downright careless. You want help? Don’t expect it from them. I did the stupid mistake of even telling them I had issues with my bank card in hopes they could give me a new one, their response was to call the 1800 number. Not I’m sorry you’ve had troubles. Or sorry for the inconvenience. Just call the 1800. Don’t waste your time coming here. They are rude. Arrogant. And the least bit helpful. Take tour business to TD where they THRIVE on customer service.

This is the branch next to my house and I’ve always liked it a lot. Very friendly, super knowledgeable and supportive staff. They always want to help you in order to satisfy all the needs and provide the most detailed explanations. Sometimes there is a lineup to the tellers, so manager and branch assistant are always step up to help, so never waited longer than 10-15 minutes. But today they overarchived my expectations, when have been helping my husband who is not even the bank customer. That’s in my mind how bank should work. Thanks a lot.

Called 10 times today with no answer. I had to drive there personally to grab a business card of one of the Financial advisors. Finally got through to her. Then she told me she cant find my information, even though I am a client. Said she will call back once she finds it. Never got a call back. Had to do her job and found out they didn't include my middle name hench now there are 2 profiles. Told her that information, and once again got told that she needs to speak with her manager in order to find my information, and will call me back. Still haven't gotten a call back. This Branch is a joke and the workers there have no interest in making money for CIBC. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I read the reviews before going but I needed to deposit money and it was the closest to me this afternoon. I expected that maybe the other negative reviews were from people who may have had a bad hair day before arriving , alas tis true the bank employee was much less than helpful. When you need help depositing a check into a US account and the best this guy could come up with is to tell me to phone another bank for instructions. The CIBC bank person at Park Royal was exceptionally good and explained everything to and for me and then I come to the Lonsdale branch expecting the same only to be insulted. Where is the half star?

Don't bother trying to call the branch and speak with a real person. You will only waste your time. Going in to the branch is also a waste of time, especially if you drive a vehicle. There is no parking and the wait-time is outrageous.

Very nice neat and well run modern CIBC branch in the Shoppers and LCBO plaza. All ATMs work, no line up at tellers. This location has a drive through and lots of free parking in the plaza. I've been trying to withdraw from my USA account an exact amount which I'm not able to do from an ATM machine. I came to this location last Saturday at 3:37 and they informed me that I am 7 minutes late and that they're unable to withdraw from my USA account and told me to come next week. This Sunday I went to this location again but this time they decided to close down their tellers for no apparent reason and did not provide any information in advance.

1 star goes to the bank and to the customer service as well. Bank started to hold money for 5 days (business days, so in reality it doesn’t show up for 7-9 days on your account) when deposit your paycheck. Zero explanation provided. Bank worker just mentioned that it’s a new policy. That’s feels like something from 19th century, but ok. Maybe it’s some safety procedures or whatever. The solution that was provided by the worker is to deposit money into savings account. For some reason there are no hold there. But, the worker never mentioned 1% fee when you withdraw from savings account. So that would be a “nice” surprise if I would follow that advice. Moreover, I was asked if I have some “E Advantage” account. I wasn’t sure about that and was asked to provide my ID instead of receiving explanation what that “E advantage” means. The worker told that I have that weirdly named account BUT I just spent 10 minutes in my Mobile banking app and still have no idea which one of my accounts is “E Advance”. How can you create dozens of account names every year and expect customers to remember them when they never ever call them like that? It was rude and unpleasant experience absolutely for no reason.

First impression of the branch was bad. Button to open main door is busted and you need to grab the handle to open it. In Covid times, you'd think it'd be a priority to have that working. I arrived on time for my appointment, but no one is at the front desk. I spoke to a staff walking by who told me the person I had the appointment with had quit. Apparently they did not bother reassigning that person's appointments or at least reaching out to the customers to let them know or move the appointment. It's been 22 minutes and I'm still waiting to see if someone else can help me. Can't believe I took time of work for this. If you're going to have people waiting this long at least put a coue chairs out for them to sit and wait.

I tried to open saving account for my business in this branch, but advisor D’Sauza has a very poor product knowledge. First thing he asked why I didn’t go to the branch where I opened my business account. After that he tried to do my personal credit check, which is doesn’t make any sense. He doesn’t say a word about saving account options, price and other details. He was on rush becouse his appointment showes up and he didn’t have time to serve me. I’m very disappointed. I think Penny is the name of the cibc moose jaw general manager who was really rude. She made snide and ignorant remarks on me. She is the most Disgusting employee I have ever come across. I don't understand why this place is always understaffed on tellers. They always have either one or 2 tellers only. I remember 2 years ago they used to have separate business line and have 4 tellers on top of that. I don't know what changed but wait time before you see teller is horrible.

I have been a CIBC customer for several years and typically have good to very good experience at other branches (especially the Telus Garden in downtown). I was disappointed today at Londsdale branch. First of all, I had to wait in line for at least 20 minutes (with other customers not wearing masks!) while there were just two tellers open. I was shocked to see two of the younger looking tellers wearing casual T-shirts and somewhat dirty looking white sneakers! When I was finally helped, the teller didn't even bother to ask me how he could help, he just looked at me as if I was a nuisance. I came to get some coins and when I handed him $100 in banknotes, I didn't even get a receipt. When I inquired why, he said it's not necessary. Not the kind of professionalism I would expect from a reputable banking institution. Thinking of taking my money elsewhere..

Notnonly have we been customers for YEARS and they charge you insane monthly fees to use your own money, I went into get a money order. The rep asked me what the money was going towards. I asked her if I needed to answer that question and she relplies she is just making conversation. Non of the banks business where my money goes. The worse service ever and rude! They won't even accommodate you to any of your banking needs. One client service lady even has the nerve to butt into our conversation while serving her client. While this is all taken place my boss and other co-workers were the among the onlookers who also bank with them witness and overheard the entire conversation walked away the same time with me. Terrible experiences several times I visited. The “triage/welcome” desk out front mostly redirects you to another staff member, rather than doing anything for you, no matter how simple. Some staffers I encountered were very sullen and provided incomplete service. For example, I went here to close my business account, and took all the remaining money out in June. In Sept I got an overdraft notice and $39 fee. Went in again to this branch, and they said I could only close an account at my “home”branch. That I never go to — who visits any branch in 2021?That detail was never mentioned previously. But worst, CIBC head office should’ve never sent this ill informed letter. So at its root, it’s primarily the institution that sets the terrible tone. And why, after nearly 50 years as a customer, I am closing all my accounts. In the end, I went to my “home” branch, and had everything fixed up instantly. Kudos to Yonge/Norton for redeeming CIBC’s reputation (slightly).

Got an appointment to meet a Financial Services Representative -Ali Elmjamali- from teller - Farideh and the Financial Service Rep - Shadi - last week. I get off from work and show up on time, then found out that the CIBC person has taken an extra day off after long weekend. They even bother to contact me and inform me for this change. I opened a bank with them a year ago from now. A lady named Sally helped me set up new account with $300 bonus, only to find out when I meet the requirements after setting up things, that she forgot to put me in the system to be eligible for that $300. Isn't that scam if they promised to give me the money and they didn't? I called a man named Richard who was there with Sally a year ago. And guess what? He told me that she had been transferred to another branch and he doesn't know where she is now. He promised me to escalate the situation to upper level, which was like 4 months ago already. I called him more than 5 times every two to four weeks. Now I can't even reach him either email nor call. I don't think I want to be with CIBC anymore. Will probably change to another bank.

Absolutely the worst banking/mortgage experience I have ever dealt with. Trying to take over a mortgage from a family member, because this is considered a low priority to them they have postponed the deal for 6 months. They even claimed they "lost" our documents. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CIBC. CIBC also has a history of Fraud and unethical investing with their brokers.

Tried to reach them out over the phone numerous times to resolve my situation. They put my money on hold for over a week on my account and nobody answered the phone or answered and directed me to another branch. I decided to go there in person and when I entered the branch I saw 5 or 6 people laughing and doing nothing. Manager didn't say hello or anything when started the conversation with me. He started accusing me that I didn't sign some forms in order to release the money that he sent to the another branch where I was two hours before that. The problem was that he sent the documents that I supposed to sing to a person who's on vacation and didn't check. I spent 3 days going from one branch to another, wasting my time because employees of this branch didn't really want to help me. They just wanted to pass the problem to another branch.

I came in and wanted to talk about opening a joint acount with my partner, they arranged a meeting with Rose Gubbels the senior financial services representitive. She was very rude and seemed to discriminate me and my partner based on our age. We came in with all the right identification and she proceded to tell me that my Ontario license was "altered" and refused to serve me. I have never received such bad service from a cibc branch, I have been with them for 7 years and have never experienced this from any other branch. Avoid this branch at all cost!

I actually am really pleased with my experiences here. CIBC itself (as a whole not this branch) would of turned down my loan and mortgage I got. The staff here actually got their feet on the ground here and knows the uniqueness of someone working here vs the same job down south. I would probably still not be a home owner now if it wasn't for the staff on the ground here.

Worst and slowest customer service. I went to the information desk to ask if she could help me with a void check because the lineup for a teller was very long. I was told I had to wait in line and talk to the teller. Ok no problem. After waiting for 20 minutes and being the 2nd person in line, the same lady comes back from the info desk and tells me she can give me the void check. Why didn’t you give me the void check the first time.

I went in to get a new debit card since my old one was expired. Dara helped me through the process and it was a very pleasant experience. Date September 2nd at 5:50pm just before closing. Everything went smooth up until the last step. A male staff was keep walking around Dara asking her what was taking so long. At the end Usually the teller walks you to the atm machine to help you put in your password. The male staff said no I can do it on my own. The client before me received that help how come when it came to me I could do it on my own? Let me guess it’s closing time and you want to run home at 5:59pm. Please don’t rush your coworkers and clients before closing hour. Thanks Dara!

Ridiculously long wait any time that you go in. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes before seeing a teller. Even when they are busy they have only 2 tellers available but they always have someone walking down the line trying to pressure you to use the atm when you actually need to talk a teller for something.

Hands down best CIBC, and overall best banking service I have ever received. I was greeted by Alessandra, she helped me out with my many questions I came in asking. She then also referred me to Samantha one of their financial advisors, Samantha took the time to clearly explain everything I needed to know, it is clear she is very knowledgeable in her field. I feel confident in my future banking endeavours with someone like Samantha by my side. My experience with both ladies were sincere and extremely professional.

Service quality has become terrible at the teller level at this branch: I've noticed that most of the Friday tellers are replete with attitude and completely out of line. There is a gatekeeper mentality and some of them seem motivated to deny service where they can. In one year I've witnessed a couple of banking errors at the counter and found it to be an extremely unaccommodating, unfriendly atmosphere in general. The exception to the rule is Gian, who is unfailingly professional, humble, cooperative, and efficient.

ICBC has the worst services. Just doing a lot of advertising that we help our customer during this pandemic but in reality they do nothing for their customers. Not helpful at all. They do their best to make you more financial problems.I’m definitely changing my bank. The interesting thing is after reading my review somebody called me from the bank and told me because you have been a loyal customer we are going to give you an offer and talked to me for almost half an hour and finally as she found out I'm on EI she said sorry we can not help you now. If you have been sick for any reason in this banking system means that you are not eligible for any help from the bank.

Terrible customer service one of the worst banking experiences I've had. During a withdrawal my signature varied slightly, fine follow protocol, but think! I gave you two government issued ids yet I was still being questioned over a signature. Idiots at the branch were holding my account hostage, bouncing me between staff who don't want to help. I couldn't get my money when I NEEDED it. This is not my first terrible experience with CIBC. I do not recommend it, TD has been more consistent. I'm closing my accounts with CIBC.

After repeated disappointment with RBC's service, I've decided this CIBC branch needs a review for what a bank's service should be like! This branch is the best CIBC branch. My personal and business is with CIBC. Whichever teller you get, even the managers, everyone is smiling and happy to help you. If the line starts to get long, managers will come see if they can help anyone in the line up to relieve the wait. Best bank for me. Got me through tough times. Staff in main street moose jaw CIBC are very helpful especially Kali and Tina. and Amanda. CIBC should be the number one bank in Canada. their CIBC Call center is helpful too. uhmmm, but CIBC should work on the parking space though, it's really disappointing. I cant stop saying bad things about this bank, first having customers have to do the paper work themselves when dealing with investment sides of things. You should have people for that, I don't have time to print out and file my own paperwork, I want a person to do that for me hired by you. Not only this, but now they have no cash on hand? Why bother even calling it a bank? bring your tellers back, bring back cash reserves, and stop finding ways to cut corners and serve your customers!

Went to the branch at 430 pm when teller service closed at 6. They had 4 tellers present but only one open, 3 of them were closing their tills. I waited 45 mins in line. Not one of the tellers opened up to help with the extraordinary long line. After a while, people started to complain. The staff would barely look at the customers, refusing to make eye contact with us. They then said that they were behind because of computer issues present - which we had to drag out of them, they didn't offer up on their own. It seemed pretty clear that there wasn't a computer issue as they just seemed like they were cashing out. Even if there was, they could have let us know and dealt with it proactively instead of ignoring us. I've left this branch frustrated multiple times now.
