I just wanted to give huge kudos to Lori Ripplinger, Account Manager at Wiegers. In the summer of 2015, my wife was briefly hospitalized in Spokane WA due to a nut allergy issue. It turns out that was the time when Wiegers had found us a better deal so our group insurance companies were being switched. Nevertheless the claim still fell under the previous insurance company (who said all claims must be in within 3 months of their termination). I gave all of the Insurance Company's contact Information to the Spokane hospital (and I did tell them that we had just switched insurance companies) and they said “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of everything from here”. I believed them but then later found out that they had only submitted the claim after 6 months! So the Insurance Company said “Not our problem, you missed the 3 month cut-off”. And the Spokane hospital said “Not our problem, because typically we have a year to get in claims, and we were well within that”. So I was thinking “ I am on the hook”. I haggled around for over a year without any success but suddenly Lori Ripplinger with Wiegers appeared on the scene. (And keep in mind now that I am a casual employee, so I am not currently even a client of Weigers Group Plan.) Nevertheless, she said that Insurance Company needed to take responsibility and not hide behind a loop hole. She made some calls and must have been 'very persuasive' because the Insurance Company sent me a $3088 cheque for the outstanding amount!!!! I had been on an18 month wild goose chase but when Lori came on the scene, it quickly ended in a happy conclusion. Lori and her company, Weigers, are certainly exceptional performers.
