I would give them 0 stars if I could Scotia just stole 664.00 off of me they say ita a computer glitch. I have tried to call and get it fixed after a 30 minute wait they take more money out of me. I cant even afford my heart medication cause of this.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had with Scotiabank at this location. Manager is extremely rude, as well as some tellers. Seriously considering switching banks after this experience.

I have been a Scotia Bank customer for nearly 20 years. My home branch used to be at the Centre Mall, bust since moving to the west side of the city I gave been using the 22nd St branch. The customer service stinks! So much do, that Ivd decided to (after all these years) have decided to switch to a different bank. So long Scotia! Get your employees in check.

And this lasted several months. -I can not leave messages when I called. Far from the friendly and personal service of the Caisses. The positive that I can give is that the manager of Tracadie was very professional to meet me in a period where the management changed ... Another good thing is that I will make arrangements elsewhere as soon as possible, where we can serve in my language and where we can give me real answers and where we do not waste time dining to wait in line. I invite you Scotiabank to improve your service on many points because the echoes in our small community are not very positive towards you. Web site says closed today Saturday. Auto voice says open when you call. These are very good reasons why you get low scores. This is the information era...get it right or dont. That makes my choices easier. Ugh...please pay someone to do this right.

Clearly a favourtism to non-smaller cars at drive through. I couldn't even reach with my seatbelt off to reach more, I'm a taller girl, and drive a mazda, not to mention I wad pulled UP to the curb. Prefered it at the Freshco plaza

Absolutely horrible branch and location. Their drive thru ATM is almost always empty.....7 out of 10 attempts for me it has been currently unavailable. To even operate the drive through ATM from a car is virtually impossible. The height the angle the curb it was all designed by a poorly monitored engineer that you cannot even insert your bankcard nor can you exit your can to enter the card. . The bank has still never gotten back to me for a time to remove all my money to take to another bank. I rarely give poor reviews but this is absolutely a bank of inconvenience.

First off rude. I asked for a hold to be removed off my account as I’ve had a bank in Scarborough help me before with that. I was told “ I don’t know you “ like the bank in Scarborough that helps millions of people knows me?? So they do favours only for people they know. She assumed I deposited it through an atm which was WRONG didn’t even ask me and then kept me on hold to keep going to talk to someone. I asked to speak to a manager but no luck with that either. In the end she comes back to tell me different branches to call. Doesnt even say she WONT help me ( remember because she doesn’t know me?). Then Doesn’t give the phone numbers. Doesn’t help me in any way. Wouldn’t even let me speak to someone above her. I wish I could give 0 stars. Thanks for nothing Susan.

(Translated) This bank charged us $ 151 in service fees in 2 months. When we came in to get details they told us our package was an old one and we needed to change it. But they refused to reimburse the fees charged in excess. 2nd case; they froze a government check for 7 days claiming it didn't know he had funds to honor the check. Crappy customer service from the MANAGER. (Original) Cette banque nous a charge 151$ de frais de services en 2 mois. Lorsque nous, nous sommes présenté pour obtenir des détails ils nous ont mentionné que notre forfait était un vieux et que nous devions le changé. Mais ils ont refusé de rembouser les frais chargé en trop. 2e cas; ils ont gelé un chėque du gouvernement pour 7 jours prétendant qu'il ne savait pas le il avait des fonds pour honorer le chèque. If a month starts on a weekend, or on Friday itself, expect to wait it line 30+ minutes. 2 tellers will be off for lunch at the same time, leaving only 2 tellers to deal with everyone who is trying to pays bills, get their rent money, get money from their cheques, pensioners. They legitimately don't realise that Fridays at the start of the month are going to be busy for the listed reason, and you will hear comments like "well we're open all week, but every decides to come today"... except pay cheques don't come out till thursday or friday, some bills are due at the start of the month, people need to get rent for their landlords, and pensioners or people on social support only get paid at the start of the month. But don't worry, because despite only 2 tellers working, there will be another lady behind the counter just fiddling with office work as the waiting line extends far out into the mall, and another lady will walk down the line asking "is there anything I can help you with?" Yeah, open a bloody register. Considering the place is open for 7 hours a day, staff should only be getting 30 minute lunches, and to have 2 of them gone at the same time an hour and a half after opening at 10 is insane. There should only be one person on lunch at a time, and there should be someone brought in to cover lunches, or the lady behind the counter doing this-that-or anything else should replace the person gone to lunch. There is 0 reason that there should ever be less that all 4 tellers open at the start of the month, especially if that falls on a weekend/friday. What's entirely worse is the comments that accuse the patrons of the line being there fault because "we're open all week". I don't know how the person who runs this place got their job, what their qualifications or experience were, but they're completely incompetent and need to be retrained on how to manage a business, or fired. Tomorrow is Friday, the day I get paid, and need to get rent, I'm going to bet my life that there's going to be much more of a line than there should be, if the person who makes the schedules were competent. What is entirely worse is that this is isn't a restaurant or retail, this is a vital service needed to keep people in their homes and their lights on. This is a massive reflection of either how Scotiabank treats people, or how this one location does, and I've never experienced such inadequacy at another Scotiabank location.

Best Customer Service!!! We are always greeted with a warm welcome and wished to have a fabulous day. My husband and I received fast, courteous service. While we waited in line for only a minute or two we had been asked a few times by different staff members if there was anything they could do to help with our transaction. I couldn't ask for a better financial institution Scotiabank really cares about their customers.

So they moved into the mall parking lot and it is a literal nightmare to go there. How did they manage no parking in a pandemic!!! The wife and myself have been moving money out of our accounts to our TD accounts, our Scotia accounts will be closed shortly. We are not wasting any more time, they need our business not the other way.

So far the most irresponsible bank I've used for a credit acocunt. It's been 4months since I've used my scene visa card, but no points were yet to be received. My friend also has the same problem with her other friend in Toronto. If you want a good credit card, I suggest going to BMO or TD.

I setup an ultra account, it is supposed to be 50 free international atm withdrawals per month. I called twice before flying to Mexico and was told the card will definitely work in Mexico. IT DOESN'T, I called Scotiabank Canada several times, they emailed the manager and so did I last week. He did not reply, I cannot use my debit card or credit card in any Scotiabank here. Every time I call, it is at least an hour on the phone and nothing ever gets solved. Horrible customer service, do they even care?

Cashier was fairly friendly until I asked to speak to the manager who was terrible. Easily the most arrogant and rude management I've ever encountered. I immediately switched banks and took my service elsewhere. I'm a heavily tattooed Native man and he was quick to write me off with empty, emotionless eyes. He cared a lot more when he realized I had an account with a serious balance and was there to deposit $50,000 into the same account. Too late. I saw all I needed to. I no longer bank here.

Hopefully someone reads this review and finally calls back. After weeks of trying to get a hold of Becky (Rebekah) Cederwall, she still has not contacted back. It’s been a very hard year in 2020 with Covid-19, all we want is a mortgage to finally start our new chapter. Or the LEAST SHE COULD DO is give us an update. However, our calls, emails, and messages continue to be ignored. For those who take banking, money, and service seriously, I implore you to contact a different bank, because this is a joke. If i can do a no star to review, I will! They got a very bad bank teller/front bank staff! They made me wait for nothing. I ask if I can get a bank cheque, then the teller said to wait a few but she didn’t come back, we even heard them just giggling at the back, her other co-tellers didn’t even bother although I am standing there for more than 30 minutes!! And oh don’t forget the people behind me also waiting for their turn!!! For the record that was Friday around 3:30-4:30pm @ the business teller line, July 12, 2019!!! (HOPE YOU CAN TRACK WHO EVER SHE IS) I mean what the H. You’re in customer service line of work be sure you can do your job. If I’m the manager this kind of teller(s) should get fired, because they’re giving the bank a very bad reputation.

Horrible customer service from manager on duty, short beady eyed woman with glasses. Don't know her name. After 4 years with them I couldn't even get her to take 20 seconds to call to verify a cheque, said she didn't have time but would release $100. Even stood around doing nothing after she said that, only came back when I told the teller I want my account closed. I have cashed much larger cheques with no issues if it was another manager but this woman always gives me issues. Closed my account and within 30 minutes I opened an account at a different bank, they called the people who issued the cheque and released the full amount and I didn't have to be a customer for years. I am paying friends and family members who use Scotia $100 to close accounts and transfer money to any other bank. Only 2 of the ladies at the counter have been great to deal with but should work for a better bank. If you are thinking of making this your bank give your head a shake and go somewhere else

Exterior banking machine regularly out of cash. Parking is always full because so close to mall entrance. Client designated parking is required. Update 2021-04-15: banking machine outdoors still always out of cash. You would think during a pandemic they would be on it faster.

I finally thought I had the advisor, who will stay but I guess I was wrong. I went in to see Alyesha couple months ago, who was knowledgeable and my advisor. My husband and I got along with her very well. I called her to set up an appointment and she isn't there anymore. I am upset with the turnover staff at this branch. I am taking my business elsewhere. 1800 number is another concern. Not happy at all.

I have tried calling several times to book an appointment and the automated system keeps connecting me to the national service center and they just click off...there is no ring and no one answers. I much preferred the branch numbers, when you could call your loan rep directly or at least talk to someone and book an appointment.

Went here to get a transaction history for a closed account. They couldn't find it and I was basically told by the teller "sorry man, I can't help you". Went to the downtown location and got it no problem. Don't waste your time at this branch
